Their water purification system is food-grade and free ofBPA. The EPA Est. 97260-CHN-1 is listed.
👤I tested this at home with some stagnant pond water and it didn't take away all the color that people like to see but there was a lot of dirt taken out when I cleaned it. It tasted fine and did not have any ill effects. Will be taking it on a backwater canoe trip to see how it works.
👤The water purification system was life-saving. It was the most important part of the equipment list on the 10 day trip to the BWCA wilderness in NE Minnesota. Simple, fast and perfect! I can't say enough good things about this product. It was a solution to provide all 6 of us with a safe and fresh water supply.
👤The headline says that this filter works very well and it's cheaper than most reasonable alternatives. The flow of water was slower than I was hoping for, but it was fine. Nine of us just got done using this filter. It's a good thing. We had to fill it with water that had bits of algae and a number of tiny bugs in it. : No one got sick because neither came through the other side. It's a good thing. It can be difficult to fill a bag to the maximum level, so be sure to get a bigger size than you think you need. The material has some weight and rigidity, which helps.
👤I replaced a pump filter with this and was very happy with the decision. Everyone else who went camping with me was so impressed that they are buying one of their own. Some had issues with other brands of the same type and plan to buy this one. Great for large groups. If it isn't flowing, back wash it.
👤My husband used this backpacking and it was a problem for a while. He had to continue cleaning it. He was not happy with the brand he used.
👤The price tag is hard to beat, and it's exactly what I was looking for. It worked just as well as my friends system.
👤I'm always on the lookout for a new system for long backpacking trips, it's too good not to try. It takes 1-2 hours to purify 1L of water. The Katadyn 6L is half that time. The BeFree filter provides barely a trickle, but thanks to Katadyn, it was improved. When the BeFree refused to flow on day 2, we still had plenty of water capability, because I had both the 10L BeFree and my 6L old style in GNP with 10 guys. I don't know if I'll return this or not. If I keep it, I may try other filters. People say you can use a Sawyer mini. When I put my mini in the line, I couldn't get a single drop through.
👤I haven't used this yet. I got it for the emergency. I ordered both of them from a better know brand. It feels like a better product than the one that 888-270-6611 The bladder feels stronger yet flexible, the nylon strap is convenient, and the little carry case is worth the extra cost. The filters have a little charcoal in them.
The portable hand pump water filter is very suitable for outdoor or emergency use, such as: domestic and foreign travel, camping, backpacking, hiking, field exploration, cycling, boating, mountain climbing and other scenes. portable design can meet the needs of the entire family and can be portable. You can enjoy fresh drinking water wherever you go. The Water Filter Camping is lightweight and portable, so you can easily transport it from one location to the next. Fresh Water: removing 99% of harmful substances, includingbacteria, parasites, protozoa, heavy metals and more, is what the LoGest Straw Filter Pump is designed to deliver. The portable water filter has a pre-filter and pump filter. The emergency water filter has activated carbon fiber and a hollow fiber filter. The complete set includes a pump, pre-filter, inlet hose, outlet hose, water cup, 2 water bags, and a water filter wrench. The portable water filters pump is easy to use and can be used for many purposes.
👤Good price point. The pump is hard to open. I had to pry the handle up on the units. Glad it didn't break. It would be great if it had a replacement filter or at least information on how to replace it. Outside of that. It works the way it should.
👤On delivery, it was broken and unusable. It appears to be very fragile. Return and try a different brand.
👤The handle won't extend up. There was nothing in the owner's manual.
👤I had to apply a lot of force to pull the handle loose. It was not a problem then. I want to know if other filters will work with it.
👤My family talked about water. When the EPA changes the acceptable level of some chemicals in our water, it will make our water unsafe to drink. The water is not changing. If something happened to our water supply, what would happen? We have some streams and ponds in the area, but they are not safe to drink. If something like that ever happened, I thought this would be a useful thing to provide a bit of drinking water. This is not something we are going to use to purify 10 gallons of water, but in a pinch, this would be a way to get clean water. It is a manual pump, but it is supposed to filter out most of the stuff that can make you sick. It comes with a pump, a little pre-filter, plastic tubing, a cup, and two collapsible water bottles. It is light, so I could see packing it for a canoe camping trip, where access to safe water was not an issue. We could add this in if we were hiking with a group. Several of us would be able to use one unit. Without a lab test it is hard to evaluate effectiveness. Sometimes you have water that is safe to drink, sometimes it doesn't contain enoughbacteria to cause illness, and sometimes you are just lucky. You are more likely to get sick if you drink from natural sources. There is a layer of protection. Maybe the bad things that would have made you sick were taken out by it. If you can drink from a natural source and not get sick, it will work. It is made of plastic and should last a long time. Assume that replacement filters can be purchased when needed, since the filter is replaceable.
👤I believe it's because of the vacuum created when it's pumped that it's hard to open the first time. I pumped 400ml through it in about 30 seconds, and I would say that it's not hard to fill up a water bottle, but you definitely need to keep track of the included wrench used to remove the filter, because it's not easy to do. The pump comes with a mesh bag to keep all of the parts together, and the included hose is of a material that doesn't seem to kink, which is nice.
The tree strap is easy to hang on trees. Thanks for the one-piece design, no worries about losing. Their water purification system is food-grade and free ofBPA. The EPA Est. 97260-CHN-1 is listed. The best safety water solutions include a Sand Filter Head, Cleanable 8,000L UF Prefiltration, Heavy Metal Remove KDF and Activated Carbon Fiber, Provide Medical Grade Filtration, remove larger than 0.01um, and a lot more. The rate can be removed up to 99%, including Arsenic, Lead, and many other heavy metals. The most efficient water filters for outdoor water are low pressure hollow fiber. Their Heavy Metal removal is 20 times more efficient than the competition. The 1.5L/Min Fast Flow rate is more efficient than the competition. Can be used from a fresh water source, pumped into an empty water bottle or put into a hydration pack. It's perfect for backpacking gear for outdoor activities. The handle and rod are made of SUS 304stainless steel and have a unique design. The water inlet and outlet have non-slip undercut. Food grade materials The main body material is Polysulfone Medical Grade Ultra Filter, which is a BPA Free product. All manufacturing and other defects are covered by their Lifetime Warranty. If you don't like your Filter, return it and they will give you a full refund.
👤I'm not sure how I feel about this. The water filter is easy to use. When I first used this filter, I thought the water from the lake had a slight lake/ dirt flavor. I took a picture of the water from a resevoir and the water from a water filter side by side. I'm scared to use the water filter after seeing this. I only use the water filter for 20 gallons. I don't mind the color if the water is safe to drink.
👤I was going to hike around Mt. Whitney for eight days. The water tasted great. The first two days the filter failed, spilling sand and mucking up the internals. I cleaned it and it was back up again. The last 6 days I drank water from a bottle. I would only recommend it to my enemies.
👤I bought this for myself. I was so afraid of getting a waterborne disease while camping that I used the bathroom in the wild frequently, so I did a lot of research on water filters. My entire crew had to rely on this filter to stay hydrated. We didn't boil the water after we got it clean, no one got sick and the water tasted good. I was going to get a straw type filter. I think it was a good choice to buy this filter. It wasn't that hard to pump. I am a 5' 2 inch female. I was able to do about 4 liters. Well made! Small, convenient, light, and no waterborne diseases.
👤It was easy to assemble. I can't tell if the outputs are for pumping into a cannister or sucking out water from your mouth. The pouch is cool, but it will burst if too much air gets into it. The bag exploded on me when the pump pushed air and water into it. There is a way to alleviate this by not closing the bag with the opening for the tube, but really no air should have been going into the bag period. The bag I used to dump into my metal water jug was provided by me. There is a The only other issue I have is that the filter is open and exposed, which makes it hard to cover, but it worked well and saved me when I ran out of water.
👤You never know when an emergency can happen. This can save your life. I bought the filter because it is able to filter even further and fine materials. The best filters force the water through a tighter weave, which is more effort, but it does require you to pump it. I keep one in the house and one in the car. You never know.
👤They delivered an in-line filter for an RV. Twice. The seller reached out to me multiple times after the initial review was posted. They offered to send the unit for free if you update the review. The quality and construction of the product are as expected, and I received the correct product. I can't attest to function or longevity because I haven't used it yet.
Their water purification system works without electricity and will turn water into clean and potable water in a matter of minutes. It can deliver water to meet your water needs. Four outdoor enthusiasts and international travelers were the recipients of the pocket water filter. The silver-impregnated ceramic element is effective againstbacteria. The filters produce clear, drinkable water. Round pump handle for easy pumping.
👤I stored this item after I bought it. Two months ago, I noticed some flaws in the filter. I spoke with a customer service representative. The company replaced the faulty parts for free during this period of Covid 19 (9 years after my initial purchase), and stood behind its products. This says it's all over.
👤I used to go camping in Alabama. There was a creek near where we camped. The filter did a great job. The water was mostly clean to start with but needed to be cleaned before it could be used. I was able to do that by the creek in about 5 minutes. It worked out great. I had about 10 gallons of water to drink. When the pump becomes difficult, field strip the filter and clean it. I suggest keeping a bottle of water in reserve. You don't want to clean the filter with unpurified water.
👤Over the last 35 years, I have owned backpacking water filters. The plastic pump filters by first aid and msr are the ones I like the most. I own a few of the squeeze filters. I don't like or trust them as far as durability goes. The katadyn pocket filter is not the lightest one on the market, it's not smaller than the msr, and it's not the lightest one. The build quality andDurability of the extream is what this filter has going for it. There are no plastic barbs to break off, no plastic parts in any critical area other than the body, and even that part is overbuilt. If I can get half of the 13000 gallon ceramic filter life, I will be happy. I don't see any inherent issues with this filter. The filter needs to be protected from freezing in cold weather. Any ceramic filter will have an issue with freezing. You will not be putting this filter in your jacket or pants pocket. You can't pocket carry the first aid or msr filters. If you have a problem with viruses, you will need to treat the water or boil over a flame. The charcoal katadyn add on filter reduces the off taste of river water. It's a nice addition to the filter that it fits into the standard carry pouch. I feel confident that the filter will last a lifetime because it is critical to my outdoor activities.
👤Do you want to have a little more perspective while hiking the back woods? Do you know that in an emergency, you can provide water for yourself and your family, or for someone else who may be in a crisis? Is it possible for longevity of use to be mentioned? What about weight? Do you want something lightweight for your camping gear? Right, pounds equals pain! What about quality? Would you like a lifetime warranty on that product? Thank you again, Katadyn, for this little number. The Pocket has a 5 star rating across the board. When it comes to field filters, this thing is a beast. Is this thing expensive? You don't want to mess around when it comes to the second most important thing you, your children, or your pets need. My opinion. Before you use it in the field, make sure you understand the use, cleaning and packing procedures.
It's worth your family. You can setup and move where you please with the Purewell gravity water filter system. It is a water purification system that uses gravity and does not require electricity. 👤I expect the quality to suffer since it is a cheaper knock off and cheaper price than the brand name. All of them look good. The package came without the pre-filter but have two metal weight, which is not worth the value of the water filters. I can tell it's a sub-contractor scam because they put two metal weight instead of one metal weight and pre-filter plastic housing to pass weight quality control. Have to exchange the product. The replacement should have a pre-filter. The pre-filter issue had a -2 star rating.
👤I really want to like this but it came with an extra weight and didn't have the pre and round disc filters. I'm hoping someone will contact me and let me know the missing pieces are on their way to me.
👤We were planning on going camping and looking for an affordable, compact and easy to use water filter that could help us keep our gear light. We found the Wild Peak Stay Alive-3 outdoor tactical 4-stage water filter emergency pump, which had everything we wanted. It's easy to use and compact, and I never thought a simple water filter would add so little weight to our gear. This is the piece of equipment you should get if you're looking for a compact, affordable and easy to use water filter for your adventures. David Esquire is a photographer.
👤Even though the water pump filters water very well, it is difficult to pump in and out, even a bottle of water, even though we pumped clear lake water, and even though it was easy to align the hose. It filters the water very well.
👤This is a small unit. It is easy to do. When it tastes like plastic, it's self defeating since the point is to get good, clean water. I threw this thing away and bought deionized bottled water while I was on my trip.
👤Very disappointing. Before leaving, I bought for the Boundary Waters trip and failed to test. Each pump produces a small amount of water. It takes 15 minutes to fill a bottle. A fellow camper had a gravity feed system that was able to easily supply me and my two kids with plenty of clean drinking water. The return window was already closed when I returned, so I only have a $40 paper weight.
👤The flimsy hose makes it difficult to use, because it sucks the water. I'm going to return it since it's moving slowly. If the tubing were to be fixed, this would be 5 stars.
👤I am glad I found this system. We are a family that loves hiking and outdoors activities and the have come in handy.
The materials used in the camping water filter are food-grade, FDA certificated, and no chemicals are used to filter the water. You can get enough reliable pure water with the 3L gravity-fed bag. The outdoor pump water filter system can reduce up to 99.9999% of tiny material. Health drinking guarantee even in the wild with the high quality coconut activated carbon fiber. The system is high efficiency. The medical grade hollow Fiber UF Membrane is high-performance. The Activated Carbon Fiber is high quality. The Coconut Shell Activated Carbon Rod is made of PP Cotton. It's portable and can be used in an emergency to get a water source nearby into drinking water. It's necessary for traveling, backpacking, camping and emergency kits. The water filter pump hiking can purify up to 793 gallons of water before the replacement of its carbon filter is required. Try to use clean water to extend the Lifespan of the repalcement filter. Several people can use one Purewell Water Purified Pump at the same time. Special rubber on the sides and bottom of the pump helps maintain a firm and sturdy surface while the pump is in use. The shell is made of food grade materials. Never break the handle if you upgrade it to 15mm. The transparent lid can be used as a drinking cup and a top compass can be used when traveling. There is a carry bag with detailed instruction manual, tubing, hose clip, and advanced filters. Their water purification system works without electricity and will turn water into clean and potable water in a matter of minutes. It can deliver water to meet your water needs.
👤We had more water than we could have packed in for backpacking, because we camped by Lake Michigan. None of us got sick. The cleaning process is easy. If the water is more clear, rubberbanding a coffee filter over the prefilter will make it easier to get gunked up by sand. The tubes are unwieldy and we needed someone to hold them while someone else pumped.
👤I like how easy it is to use when you're in the deep woods. Before using, rinse several times.
👤It is easy to use, wish the hose connections to the unit were tighter, but otherwise it works great and the flavor is clean.
👤It's great for camping or emergency use.
👤I haven't tried it yet. If all works like it should, it should.
👤If you were Superman, you would find this product useful. The flow rate is not advertised because the pump requires a lot of strength. Imagine a bench pressing for five minutes to get some water. I think I was sweating out while using the product. Why the compass? I will equip them with a water filter so they can use it for navigation.
👤It's a great water filter for outdoor adventures.
The pump is 7.5 x 2.75 inches and weighs 1 pound. The kitchen system holds a lot of water at a time. It's a great water purification system for 3 to 5 people and its space-saving design makes it the perfect size for a small kitchen, apartment, college dorm room, or anywhere space is at a premium. Large enough to provide ample water and still small enough to fit in areas that larger units wouldn't. The high quality water filter system is simple to use. The water is poured into the upper chamber. The water can be accessed via a tap on the front of the filter. In the kitchen, the Gravity Countertop Filter provides clean water for drinking and cooking. It can also be used on the road. Each filter has millions of tiny pores that are big enough to allow water to pass through but small enough to block many contaminants, which reduces the bad while leaving the healthy elements of your water intact. It is recommended to replace the filter every 6,000 gallons. It's ideal for protect environments and reduce plastic waste by using high grade 304stainless steel with coconut activated carbon filters. It is very durable and doesn't oxidize or rust. It is ideal for daily use. It's worth your family. You can setup and move where you please with the Purewell gravity water filter system. It is a water purification system that uses gravity and does not require electricity. It is an ideal choice for those looking to improve their drinking water with a portable, easy to use system.
👤There is a slight taste problem with bottled water. The water filter I bought tasted like chemicals and I didn't like it. The family got sick from drinking the water from this filter. I didn't know the filter wasn't made in the US. I wouldn't have bought it if I had known.
👤The water purification system did not work for us. We all got sick after drinking the water.
👤This was what I needed. The tap water in my city tastes bad. I wasn't drinking it and wasn't staying hydrated. The system is simple and effective. I can't get enough of the fresh water. The coffee tastes better when I use the filters in my machine. This is worth the money. I appreciated the care that went into the packaging and shipping of the system. This is a high quality product and a real game change for me.
👤The product was very good. It does what we need it to do. Customer service quickly sent me replacements for the filters that wouldn't let water pass through. They were quick to respond and deserved a great rating. If you're looking for this kind of product, I can show you how good it is. It's just as good as the others.
👤Our water tastes better. It might be better if the filters were anchored with a screw type fitting.
👤It is very easy to set up and use. I had to get used to the fact that the water didn't have a flavor.
👤It works and is small, but there are some things I didn't like about the design. It does what it is supposed to do, but it is very slow. The type of bag used is not very user friendly and hard to fill in streams. The Katadyn Be Free was my comparison unit. We hiked for two days and wanted to try out some new filters. If you are going to use this frequently, you should get the Be Free.
Chemicals, batteries, and iodine are free. Municipal water can be used for Direct and Back flushing. It's suitable for water sources in lakes and streams. The survival bag has a basic disaster tool. The coconut shell GAC filter can remove 99% of bact, chlorine, odor, and harmful ingredient from the water bottles. Provide you with clean, safe water, indoors or out, if you help get rid of more than 220 threats in any natural water source. The Tritan water bottle has a food-grade straw, life filter and silicone mouth, which makes it a higher quality bottle. Dust-proof and leak-free design, dishwasher safe. A carabiner is very convenient to attach to a backpack or travel bag, and a new vent is added to speed up the flow rate. The water bottle is great for camping, backpacking, emergency kits, workouts and outdoor activity. You won't need to think about the filter replacement very often because the bottle is up to 1,500L. It helps cut down on one-time plastic use if you replace 3,000 single-use plastic bottles. You can drink water from any lake, pond, or river with the built-in straw, and the filter will allow you to drink clean and pure water in seconds. It is less than 10 ounces when empty. The EPA Est. 97260-CHN-1 is listed.
👤I have never had a bottle like this one. This is the winner because I checked Amazon for reviews. It comes with the filter for tap water or on the go water, and it does a great job of blocking out nasty waster flavor. Brita pitchers have always been gross to me. The water shoots into your mouth like it knows how thirsty you are, because the sucking nozzle is so perfect. The stream of water physics is amazing. I keep it clean, but haven't had to clean it a lot. It comes with a lid that is perfect for hiking. If you break it, I am fine. I love this bottle.
👤If you're like me and have to have clean water wherever you go, this might work for you because my parents don't think there's a difference between a regular tap and a filter. It is now an effort to drink the water from the bottle. You have to be terrible. It was hard. The water comes up through the filter. Don't expect to be able to drink from this. If you've ever had a drink with a weird loop straw or a weird-looking milkshake, you're familiar with this place. You have to work this bottle to get what you want. The water is really good. If that doesn't bother you, this should work well. If you're stranded in the middle of nowhere with no sense of direction and only a water bottle, it's cool that it has a tiny built in compass.
👤Light and strong. It's easy to bring this with you. I bought it for my survival bag. This gives me a sense of security that I will be ok with water when it's not good. An old saying is to drink water and avoid water the horse won't drink. They know the difference between good and bad water. I think that's correct.
👤The water bottle has a lot of functions. It comes with a straw for use as a regular non-filtered water bottle for everyday use when your water sources are clean, as well as the filter that is attached to the inside of the lid. The button on the latching mechanism that holds the drinking spout in the top of the lid is very strong and springy and makes a nice secure click when in place. The package includes directions for back-flushing the filter to keep it clean after use from open water source debris, and it is not difficult to detach the filter. It is functional for a lot of fills. In areas of nature where there are no human developed/modernized water sources available for developed water system sources, camping or hiking is a must. I was happy with my purchase and would buy again in the future.
👤Beautiful color. It was easy to use. Water tastes great if everything is filters out. It's great to use outdoors. It's perfect for my mountain hikes. A single filter is needed to remove almost 400 gallons of water. No problems were encountered when you ran through the dishwasher.
Excellent for removing grease, oil stains, tar and label. The microfiltration is able to remove 99% of waterbornebacteria and 99% of waterborne parasites. Removes microplastics and reduces the amount of water in the environment. All claims are verified with laboratories using standard testing protocols. 4,000 liters (1,000 gallons) of clean and safe drinking water will be provided by the microbiological filter. Every LifeStraw product purchased, a school child in need will receive safe drinking water for the entire school year. There are materials that are free of BPA.
👤You should get a Sawyer-Mini. I have used both on camping trips. You need steel jaws to suck water. If you use a Sawyer or other filters with pump/squeeze action, you won't have to rip out your filling. You have to lie on the ground, and other filters have a straw if the pouch breaks. You need to watch actual videos of people who use these frequently before voting down this post. Everyone uses a pump or squeeze method of filtration. Lifestraws are a great idea, but it is hard to use.
👤I am sorry to have the first one be so negative but the life straw was a total and utter disappointment. I bought it for my daughter to go to Mexico with strict instructions to not drink anything without the life straw. Had she followed my instructions she would have died of dehydration. We followed the instructions from the video to soak it, but we couldn't get any water to come through it. It was too late to return to Amazon and I did not receive a reply when I contacted Life Straw. Too bad. I was going to have one for each family member to have in an emergency pack. I will not do that after this experience.
👤This thing is serious. I went backpacking on Maine's Bigelow range. I ran out of water when I brought it. Bring a wide mouth bottle and fill it with water. I drank from the most disgusting looking hole on top of a lower peak. I thought it would be safe, but it wasn't. Wrong. It tasted like fresh spring water. Better than a tap. I'm from Maine, and I've tasted plenty of water from the mountain springs. It can be difficult to start. You have to prove it by soaking. Blow into it if it still doesn't work. Everyone should have a bug-out bag in case of a civil war, because the world seems to have gone mad.
👤If you don't clear the water after each use, the water will seize up. I didn't run a gallon through either of the break I had.
👤I dropped it from my mouth to the countertop and it stopped working, which is ridiculous. There was no impact at all. It is dangerous to have a water source out in the woods if it can't take an impact. This bad review is solely about that fact.
👤I've used these in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Works as advertised. The system is safe to use. When we deploy, we use it as a standard procedure to have one in everyone's room. It's called Semper Fi.
👤I drank from a steam. I have become a hippie. I'm in a transformation.
👤We got what we ordered. I've used this product before in Afghanistan, and I'm happy with it.
👤The price was right, so I wanted to get one for a while. The water out of the Lake of Two Mountains tasted good and did not have any ill effects.
The portable water filters pump is easy to use and can be used for many purposes. Emergency water filters are available. Be prepared for disasters. Up to 24 gallons of fresh water per day can be produced by the emergency water purification system. The portable high-capacity water filter is powered by gravity and can be used for emergency drinking water. There is an extra set of replacement filters. The power of greed is powerful. There was no electricity and no pumping. Unlike other water purification systems that rely on a power source to operate, the OB-25NF-B system from Outback Water uses a gravity-fed, 4 stage system to purify contaminated water into safe drinking water anywhere. It is compatible with most fresh and moving water sources. Excellent for up to 1,800 gallons. FEMA and the Red Cross recommend a supply of 1 gallon of water per person per day. For an emergency, the Outback Plus will purify enough drinking water for the entire family. The two high-capacity filters remove 99% of the germs from water. The filters can last up to a year when stored correctly. Simple setup and operation is easy to use. Every moment is important in an emergency. The instructions for assembling Outback Plus are clear. Wait for the water to get to the lower chamber and pour collected water into the upper chamber. The system's design makes it easy to store and move around. There is drug possession. You can afford it. The emergency water purification system is durably made for disaster preparedness and survival, as well as daily use, when municipal systems are compromised or in areas where water is unavailable. They strive to be the best at what they do, providing high-quality, kind, and competent technical support in the bargain.
👤This type of water system was used by me for 20 years in a developing country. It is easy to clean and maintain. It will provide a good flow of clean water. There is no need for electricity or mechanical parts that might fail. The system is very effective. I bought it in the US for an emergency.
👤If you show off what you have, it will only matter if you have a good item to have.
👤The price continues to go up. The kit contains $75 worth of filters and buckets. Don't be taken.

👤Hello. The package was well received. There is a There is no way to include. 1. The bag has a roll bag on it. The shoulder strap is 3. Stuff a sack. 4. There is a pre-filter mesh.
👤The gift was given to friends in Puerto Rico who are in the midst of a crisis. They were having to boil their water because of the disease. They said this product has saved lives. I love that it is benefiting them and another one has been donated to a third world country. It was very satisfying.
👤The system worked well once I got used to it. I was excited to use it, but I didn't like the taste of the water. It tasted like a solvent. The taste of food grade glue would go away if you ran several bags of water through it. I drank it for three days and I could not tell the difference between the taste of it when I first drank it and it now.
👤This product doesn't work at all. The water in the bag is 120 ppb. The water coming out of the blue valve is 120 PPM. The flow rate was expected, but it didn't filter anything. The dirty water valve won't shut off. Half of the bag is going to end up on the ground because this product will leak dirty water just inches away from your " clean" water and the flow rate of the leak is slower than the filters. The water has a plastic bag in it. I'm sending it back. I've never bought a more USELESS product.
👤The first shipment arrived and worked great for a day, then the second shipment began to leak out of the red valve. I liked the product and the water tasted great, but I can't say that their quality control is very good. Thankfully, I got my money back from Amazon.
👤I was very nervous about using this. I knew I was going to get a waterborne parasites and end up with a disease for the rest of my life. It's been a week since we backpacked. My kids took it down to the stream to fill it up, it was very easy to use. It was light and easy to carry in my backpack. It took about 20 minutes to fill a one liter bottle. I knew that from reading other reviews. I was pretty happy with this purchase.
👤I bought this for backpacking. We tried it out at a lake a week before our trip and learned how to use it. We used it to fill two smart water bottles on our backpacking trip. It is very light and cheap. It was so hot that we used it twice a day and used water from a river and small creek puddles. It was difficult to tell the difference between bottled water and actual water. The quality of the water source is also a factor. It takes a bit to fill bottles, but we averaged about 5 minutes per bottle so it would take about 20 minutes to fill 4 tall bottles and was not an issue for us. I absolutely love this product and recommend it to everyone. It is easy to use and it is worth the price. It was a life saver for us.
