1. Outback Emergency Filtration Gravity Powered

Outback Emergency Filtration Gravity Powered

This is a great gift for friends or loved ones. Get your family members and friends well-prepared before any emergencies, teach your kids survival skills, and create fun and educational activities during the holiday season with their professional designed and certified survival straws. The emergency water system is designed to be prepared when disaster strikes. The Emergency Water Filtration System transforms microbiologically "risky" water into drinking water and can produce up to 24 gallons of freshwater per day. The portable high-capacity water filter is powered by gravity and can be used for emergency drinking water. The power of greed is powerful. There was no electricity and no pumping. Unlike other water purification systems that rely on a power source to operate, the OB-25NF system from Outback Water uses a gravity-fed, 4 stage system to purify water into safe drinking water anywhere. It is compatible with most fresh and moving water sources. Excellent for up to 1,800 gallons. FEMA and the Red Cross recommend a supply of 1 gallon of water per person per day. For an emergency, the Outback Plus will purify enough drinking water for the entire family. The two high-capacity filters remove 99% of the germs from water. The filters can last up to a year when stored correctly. Simple setup and operation is easy to use. Every moment is important in an emergency. The instructions for assembling Outback Plus are clear. Wait for the water to get to the lower chamber and pour collected water into the upper chamber. The system's design makes it easy to store and move around. There is drug possession. You can afford it. 👤You never know when you need one.

👤Filters from water sources. Prepping for disasters or for camping.

2. Sawyer Products SP103 Filtration System

Sawyer Products SP103 Filtration System

The CakCity Mens Sport watch comes with a manual and friendly customer services. It's ideal for outdoor recreation, hiking, camping, scouting, domestic and international travel. 100% of MINI units individually tested three times to performance standards were tested with the high-performance 0.1 Micron absolute inline filter. Attaches to hydration packs, disposable water bottles, or straws to drink directly from your water source. The removal of allbacteria and the removal of all protozoa removes 100% of microplastics. The Sawyer MINI filter is rated up to 100,000 gallons.

Brand: Sawyer Products

👤The product has everything needed to carry water. The water purification system made perfect sense to me as a nurse. I bought it for my son to hike the Pacific Crest Trail. I thought it was brilliant. And it is. The O ring broke on the second day of his hike. The problem on the mini was familiar to other hikers. The regular size Sawyer filter does not have the same problem. You can go from a 1 star to a 5 if you fix your O rings.

👤The instruction is written in a way that makes it seem like it's for another product. There are instructions for a push pull valve, but not one for a push pull valve. The design of the backwashing kit is poor, it does not attach to the filter, thus allowing water to leak out around the connection between the filter and the syringe, thus the flush will not be adequate due to lack of pressure and flow. I recommend not buying this product until the company hires someone that understands English better, as I believe that the design of this product was not thought out and that force is not required to hold the syringe tip next to the filter. Please rewrite the instructions completely because the instructions need to be changed so that the filter can be attached to the syringe easily. The thread size on a standard 500mL water bottle is not match by the filter.

👤This is a great option for a small filter. I was looking for a new accessory. I have used various gravity and pump systems in the past and wanted something smaller and lighter. I don't think I'll use it on top of a water bottle. I was a little worried because I thought it would only work as a squeeze system and it could be a little slow or awkward at times. I was satisfied with the speed and ease of use when using it as a squeeze filter, as well as with the platypus bag. I think this filter shines when used as a drip system. I used it with a 1 liter platypus bag and found that I could hang the bag with the filter on it from a cord with a tarp clip and let it gravity filter into a bottle. The wind can't blow the lower tip of the filter off target if I place it inside a bottle. It's much easier to hold a liter of filters than it is to hold a liter. I keep the filters, backflushing syringe, and the bag in a pocket in my pack. The cord is tied in a loop with a taut line hitch. I can adjust the height of the filter when I throw it over a branch so that it hangs just inside the top of the bottle. You can see from my pictures that the flow was adequate. After the first use, I flushed about once a day on the trail. The first time I tried to attach it to the supplied bag and my platypus bag, I had trouble with it. I had to be careful to make sure the threads were straight and not at an angle. I got it lined up correctly, and it went on without a hitch. I drink and cook with it on the trail, using an average of 5 or 6 litres of water per day.

3. Katadyn Transparent Lightweight Backpacking Preparedness

Katadyn Transparent Lightweight Backpacking Preparedness

No need for constant backflushing with the lowest maintenance water filter. The protection against cysts is down to 0.2 micron with the glass-fiber filter media. The taste of your drinking water can be improved by using activated carbon in the core of the filter. The field cleanable screen extends the life of the cartridge. It's ultra-light 11oz, compact size and compatibility with hydration bladders is a long-time trusted option for backpackers. The transparent design makes it possible to see the work of the filters.

Brand: Katadyn

👤This product was used in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area for a week. It was used to filter clean water above the bottom of the lakes, but by day 5 it became difficult to pump the housing, as seen in the photo. Our group had other options for water treatment. I can't return the filter to Amazon as the return window has passed, I would never recommend it to anyone.

👤After one trip, it became so difficult to pump that I'd almost rather not have water than try to keep pumping. We had to change it from person to person so that people could rest. I will never get a pump like this again because of the waste of money. I contacted Katadyn in hopes of getting a replacement pump. My friend has had the same issues with the same pump.

👤The last Hiker Pro lasted about 100 trail days and pumped about 300 to 400 gallons. The hose was hanging into a creek below a log when the valve that actually lifts water into the filter decided there was too much weight on it. I am dropping a star from the review because this happened without any warning. I replaced the filter element for 75 percent of the cost of the whole filter. I figured I'd get another one since I had enough time to go another 100 days. The weight is acceptable. Pre filters keep most of the water out of the mountain water, so they last a long time for me. Pack well and drain before packing. It's quite fast to get to water in hard to reach places. A gallon water canteen and two 1 liter bottles are all you need for a few minutes. I don't want to rely on any gravity system because I move too fast. If you pack them, use them or they are dead weight. This one is easy, and combined with bottles that don't tip over makes a great filter system for me. That's what matters. I don't count ounces on things that are essential. The pump shaft and filter are easy to service. That was unrelated to my last unit's failure. I think it was a flapper valve that let go, something you can't service deep inside the plumbing between pump and filter housing. It can't hurt to see what goes on around the filter, but it's not sure what that adds over the last model. To get a 5 star review, the ridiculous price of the filters needs to come down. How can it be so expensive to make the pleats between the two plastic ends? The price of these filters is too high for what they are. It was clearly aimed at the recreation market. I would like to find a filter that works like this unit but doesn't come with the recreational equipment markup.

👤Since the first time I used it, my filter leaks carbon material. It doesn't get better after a while. It's a broken product to me.

4. Ginkin Filtration Purification Elements Capacity

Ginkin Filtration Purification Elements Capacity

The lifetime and replacement of the PP filter is 4 to 6 months. The RO filter lasts 2 to 3 years. For reference, the lifetime is recommended. The lifetime is determined by the local water source. You can find 1-year replacement filters on Amazon. The purification system can hold up to 2.25 gallons of water, and can provide high-quality water for up to four people. Powerful purification. The Ginkin water purification system has two high-efficiency filters that can remove cysts, particulates, and the tiny material. It was developed for families that use substandard drinking water. While tested by a TDS meter, the PPM is not dropping because of the technology they have. All healthy water has a certain amount of dissolved minerals. The water quality is not measured by the TDS meters, it is produced by reverse osmosis system. The service life of a single filter element is 3,000 gallons, so no need to worry about water shortage. CONVENIENT FOR INDOOR AND OUTDOOR. The Ginkin gravity-fed water filters can provide you with clean and healthy water at home and outdoors, even if you don't have electricity.

Brand: Ginkin

👤There were no hoses to hook up. This is the one you want for people like me who don't want to pay a plumbing company to hook up a system. The taste of the water is vastly different with this. I had to give it a week to get used to the new taste. It's a much better taste. It makes my drinks taste better. I was worried that this was going to be huge on my counter, but it's just a little bigger than a blender. I thought it would take up a lot of room. I like the way it looks on my counter. I keep this at the edge of the counter for easy pouring of water from the spout because it doesn't come with the stand. You can either buy a stand or set it up. It's simple, add water and pour. No plumbing to worry about, and can take along with me in my camper. Water bottles and bottles to fill up garbage bags are no longer needed. This saves me money and time. Less garbage, less trips to the store, no more spending money on bottled water, and no more hurting my back carrying packs of water. I wish I bought this sooner. I kept doing the "should I" thing. I am very pleased with this!

👤I am able to provide my family with clean water. I bought this guy because I found "acceptable" levels of pesticides in my water. The filters are essentially the same, so it's still expensive but cheaper than the Burkey brand. Someone claims to use a 9k gallon filter. That's not correct. I think this will provide my family and I will use it for a couple of years. They are drinking more water. The kids prefer the taste of it over the kitchen faucet and fridge water dispensers. So there it is, another believer!

👤It looks nice on my countertop as well.

👤The value is great when compared to similar dispensers. The item was in perfect condition when it arrived.

👤The machine is good but no local stores carry the gravity that I need to feed it.

👤I believe that the filters need a gasket in between the two water containers, between the top and the bottom one, with the water already filters.

5. Outback Water Replacement Emergency Filtration

Outback Water Replacement Emergency Filtration

The portable life water filter straw is small, light and has an exquisite lanyard, perfect for the Go bag or backup for camping. Reducing the amount of plastic waste. Clean drinking water is ensured by regular filter changes. Can draw from almost any fresh water source.

Brand: Outbackwater

👤I haven't looked at it yet. I spoke with the manufacturer. This seems to be a good way of prolonging the life of the water purifier.

👤Works like an original product.

6. PRO Handheld Portable Electric Survival

PRO Handheld Portable Electric Survival

Round pump handle for easy pumping. The world's first portable electric water filter can produce up to 100, 000 liters of water. It's easy to use and it produces 17 ounces of clean water in 17 minutes. The backwashing syringe system comes with all internal filters, tubing, and a travel bag. A super fast flow rate of 500ml (17oz) per minute is what this weighs. Can be used from a fresh water source, or pumped into a hydration pack. It's a great way to purify large jugs of water for the whole family. All manufacturing and other defects are covered by the lifetime warranty of the Survivor Filter. If you run into any problems with any of their products, simply contact them and they will make it right.

Brand: Survivor Filter

👤I have been waiting for a product like this for 25 years. I would give it 10 stars. The product is quiet and fast. I have never experienced a better portable water filter. Well done! You have a customer. It's really unbelievable. There is an update. The cooler water had a little bit of milk mixed in it, so I used the filter to remove it. I mean less than half a cup in a 30 quart cooler, but the water was clean after the filters were put in. The pump couldn't get any more water out after the intake hose collapsed on me. I'm assuming it's related to the milk. I backflushed the filter with the included needle, and it worked again, but at a reduced flow. After a cup or two of filters, the hose collapsed again. It was flushed again and used on a different source. The milk gummed up the pre filter and it worked again at a reduced flow. It was very strange. This little filter is great. Keep it away from the water.

👤I bought the manual version of the filter for my trip to the wilds of Eastern Colombia. Most of the people in our group bought a lot of bottled water, but I only had a lightweight Survivor filter and a two liter backpack bladder for my water needs. It was an easy walk to the river to fill up my bladder and the water was crystal clear. The water tasted great. The others asked if they could use the water from my filter, and so we all had great tasting water to drink. After returning home to the mountains above Medellin, I started using it again after the tap water started getting cloudy. My girlfriend in South America was amazed when she tried the water from my Survivor Filter and will only drink water that's been through the filter. I bought the Survivor Pro X Electric Filter to keep up with usage. It's the same high quality I was expecting from the Survivor Pro manual filter, but it's much faster. It plugs in with the power and quietly produces the water I'm used to. Highly recommended. This is not a paid review because I bought the systems.

👤Can't believe how amazing this is. My family used this a few days ago for our monthly camping trip and instead of lugging around large jugs of water, all we had to bring was this water filter. We left this by a creek and it was already filled with clean water before we set up camp.

👤They have sent me a new one and a backup, which is great since I experienced a rare failure. The manual Pro arrived in two days and works the same as the battery one. The filters do a great job. The battery Pro X will arrive soon.

👤The Survivor Filter Electric Pro X Water Filtration System is very easy to use and setup. It has two hoses, one for input and one for output, an ON-OFF push button, and the best part is it's electric, so no hand pumping! The electric feature is what convinced us to buy, as well as the option of battery power, the triple-filtration process, the supplier test report with positive results, and the many high reviews from other users. We have a permanent setup on our kitchen counter for the purpose of drinking water. We fill a large clear plastic pitcher with water from our home well system and use a Survivor Filter to remove nitrates from the water and put it into a large 3 gallon water dispenser with spout. Clean water is always available via the large spout. The amount of water in the pitcher takes about 4 minutes to be pumped into the large water dispensers and the dispensers hold about 7 pitchers. We refill the water dispensers at night, which takes less than 15 minutes, and use 2 pitchers of water per day. The pitcher is almost empty, and we bought a battery operated digital timer that would wake us when it was almost empty. We turn off the Survivor Filter Pro and refill the pitcher again until the large water dispensers is full again. Whenever we travel in our RV travel trailer, we always take the Survivor Filter with us. We bought the Survivor Filter hand pump model as a backup in case the electric unit goes out in an emergency situation. We're very happy with this product and recommend it to others.

7. LoGest Water Filter Pump Set

LoGest Water Filter Pump Set

The complete set includes a pump, pre-filter, inlet hose, outlet hose, water cup, 2 water bags, and a water filter wrench. The portable water filters pump is easy to use and can be used for many purposes.

Brand: Logest

👤Good price point. The pump is hard to open. I had to pry the handle up on the units. Glad it didn't break. It would be great if it had a replacement filter or at least information on how to replace it. Outside of that. It works the way it should.

👤On delivery, it was broken and unusable. It appears to be very fragile. Return and try a different brand.

👤The handle won't extend up. There was nothing in the owner's manual.

👤I had to apply a lot of force to pull the handle loose. It was not a problem then. I want to know if other filters will work with it.

👤My family talked about water. When the EPA changes the acceptable level of some chemicals in our water, it will make our water unsafe to drink. The water is not changing. If something happened to our water supply, what would happen? We have some streams and ponds in the area, but they are not safe to drink. If something like that ever happened, I thought this would be a useful thing to provide a bit of drinking water. This is not something we are going to use to purify 10 gallons of water, but in a pinch, this would be a way to get clean water. It is a manual pump, but it is supposed to filter out most of the stuff that can make you sick. It comes with a pump, a little pre-filter, plastic tubing, a cup, and two collapsible water bottles. It is light, so I could see packing it for a canoe camping trip, where access to safe water was not an issue. We could add this in if we were hiking with a group. Several of us would be able to use one unit. Without a lab test it is hard to evaluate effectiveness. Sometimes you have water that is safe to drink, sometimes it doesn't contain enoughbacteria to cause illness, and sometimes you are just lucky. You are more likely to get sick if you drink from natural sources. There is a layer of protection. Maybe the bad things that would have made you sick were taken out by it. If you can drink from a natural source and not get sick, it will work. It is made of plastic and should last a long time. Assume that replacement filters can be purchased when needed, since the filter is replaceable.

👤I believe it's because of the vacuum created when it's pumped that it's hard to open the first time. I pumped 400ml through it in about 30 seconds, and I would say that it's not hard to fill up a water bottle, but you definitely need to keep track of the included wrench used to remove the filter, because it's not easy to do. The pump comes with a mesh bag to keep all of the parts together, and the included hose is of a material that doesn't seem to kink, which is nice.

8. Electric Portable Emergency Hurricane BKLES

Brand: Bkles

👤You never know when an emergency may arise when you go camping with your family. I bought a portable camping water filter to make sure we always have the water we need. Water is the most important thing in life and without it, we will not make it, with this filter system I can drink it. I don't have to pump it because it's electric and has a five stage filtration. The one button operation is easy. I keep it fully charged before camping. I checked on it every now and then. I keep it in my car when I'm not camping because I don't know when or if I need it. It is very small and easy to keep in a camping bag or trunk of a car. The water system has a flashlight on the front. The bag is convenient and nice.

👤The bottle is a lifesaver. It's easy to use and can turn any water into clear and safe to drink. You would never think that the water was a body of water. Being able to get water anywhere allows you to be safer because you never know when you'll need it.

👤I like trying new products for field work. I used to be a fan of battery assisted gizmos. The practicality of this filter/purifier was learned by this old dog. One must not let it freeze.

👤During my camping trip, I bought this. The water was a fresh stream and not to be treated for bugs. Water taste does not change much, even though battery life and filling time are almost as promised. Happy with the purchase and recommended.

👤The presentation is amazing, I tried in a river and the pump works as intended, the light is helpful, and the pump works as intended. I'm going to update it again.

👤I'm pretty sure everyone saw that monster, Hurricane Ida, slam into the Louisiana coast at the end of August, 2021. Even two people working in lower management positions couldn't afford to leave because of the bad wages. For more than a week, my fiancée and I didn't have power or water. We were a bit unprepared as well. The storm was not expected to defy the laws of physics. Things would have been a lot simpler if we had this. It's easy to use and it can filter a lot of water, that's for sure. I apologize if I haven't answered a lot of the technical questions. I have never had anything like this before. I'm still learning. I looked at some of the questions for this item, and I see that there is more to it than I thought. It was easy to learn the basics and start using them, as someone who hadn't used one before. I'm not looking forward to the next storm, but I will be prepared for it.

👤This is the first one I have seen that has a built in battery. A separate power source is required by most. This is the weight of a water bottle. It doesn't take much time to charge. This is sturdy and works fast. I hate manually pumping water. This takes up less space than a manual pump. This works so well that I am very impressed.

All manufacturing and other defects are covered by their lifetime warranty.

Brand: Survivor Filter

👤I will change this review if the world ends and it doesn't work.

👤After reading many great reviews, I ordered two of the Survivor Filter PRO. The results using this product were disappointing. I bought two filters for my son and I to use during our Boy Scout backpacking trip in a remote area where the only water source was an old hand water pumping station that provided non-potable water for livestock. I thought it was a great opportunity to use a filter. Several gallons of non-potable water was pumped into buckets. It was from there that the water wasFILTERED to be used for several bottles and bladders. The water had a strong metallic taste but it was clear in color. The water color in every container had turned a light brown by the next morning, and the metal had turned to rust. There is a side-by-side picture of water with and without this product on the left and the original purchased water on the right. The worst part was not having any water and having to drink water from a container while hiking back to our vehicles. I tried to drink as little as possible, but being exposed to the sun in a semi-desert climate during a Santa Ana wind event sets in quickly. I kept a bottle of this water for a week to let the rust settle. I don't know what scares me more, seeing what it can't filter out or not being able to see what else it can't. The rusty film staining the bladder and the metallic taste of the water we filled it with were not removed by cleaning it out. Both had to be replaced. The product is labeled as "viruses and heavy metal tested 0.01 Micron water filter for camping, hiking and emergency." I guess my experience falls under the caveat in the ad, "Reduce most heavy metals, taste and chemicals." I think the metal in my water was not one of those heavy metals. It can be removed. The filter is light weight, compact, and traveled well in my backpack. The components seem well-made and operating the filter was simple. It took less than a minute to fill a 3 liter bladder. It doesn't matter if it doesn't work. I am returning both water filters for a full refund and I am trying to get reimbursement for the cost of replacing our bladders. I will update this review with the results of my work.

👤This was worth the purchase if this malfunctioned soon. Thank you, anyone complaining just return it for another one. I believe the product will last a long time. Unless you handle it, the pump won't act up. I was able to remove 1 gallon in less than 10 minutes. That would be ridiculous. My knees were killing me, I was balancing on a tree. I have only used it a few times, but it was worth it. I tried it out in a neighborhood fountain in Arizona. The water was bad. Garbage was floating around due to the storm, and the water was green. The second one was in the woods in a pond with animals. It was a body of water. Hey, its Arizona. Creeks and rivers don't last very long. The water tasted great. I didn't need the liquid enhancer. Something you'd need for havasupai water or arrowhead. Thanks for buying this filter, it is still worth it.

Brand: Survimate

👤It's great for a small pack for a hike. Always carry a knife, mylar blanket, fire starter, compass, water bottle, loud whistle, power bar, paracord. They would be prepared no matter what situation they found themselves in.

👤The water filter is great. It is easy to pack. A name on the bag wasn't worth $50.00 after finding the same filter at a high dollar store. The spics were the same. We use it when we camp. It was fresh and safe.

👤This is a small setup. It has everything you need, and nothing you don't. It has two water bags to hold the water and the clean water. If you know what you're doing, you could use them to boil water if the filter wears out. You get a couple hoses to connect the water bags and the filter, a couple straps to hand it all from a tree, a small felt bag, and two light duty carabiners. This is a nice setup. It's not like the water straw type filters, but it's a great setup for automatic water purification. It is easy to keep a few people hydrated with clean water. When I converted the numbers, the filter made about 570 gallons of water. It has a small filter element. It's going to make it safe to drink from any water, because it's going to filter out dangerous and nasty stuff. This is perfect for those who hunt, fish, camp, or spend time outdoors being self sufficient. If you have the ability to make water safe, you could save your life. This is a great kit for that. Buy one for everyone in the family. I know I will.

👤The kit has two bags. The idea of being able to set it up and then walk away and let it work is something I like about this version. You can hang it on a tree or fence with the included clips and lanyards. I like the included needle to backflush the filter. Keep it clear. There are a couple things. There is no marking on the bags or tubes that say " dirty" or " clean". If you use a bag or tube that has dirty water in it, you should mark it. The bags don't fit all the way in the black bag provided. The instructions state that you shouldn't use salty water. I wonder if it would work in a desert where you have to filter urine. Some water filters do provide or offer as an accessory, but perhaps an R.O. membrane would work for that.

👤The small cardboard box with a carry storage bag holds the water filter straw. The hoses are flexible. The system can be suspended with straps and carabiners. A hose clip for managing the length of the tubes is included. The directions with pictures on the item's description are thorough enough for use, although when to use the backflushing device is not explained in the paper directions in the box. When the flow rate decreases, I see recommendations to backflush once a week. The bag capacity is 3000 ML and the lifespan is 3000L according to the charts. The water bags have a sturdy feel, and the apparatus they attach to at the top seems designed to support their weight. A larger hand can fit in the water bags to clean them. The total weight of the system and carrying bag is more than 13 ounces. It looks like this is a good safety net for home or on the trail.

👤I want them in my survival kit, but I will never need them. I don't think they have a shelf life, so I'm not worried about aging as long as they're stored properly. It is possible to live weeks without food but only days without water. Everyone should have an emergency survival kit. Along with alcohol. Lots of alcohol. If you smoke, cigarettes are included.

👤I bought these in the event of an emergency and decided to test them out by mixing some dirt with the water. The filter worked well despite being a little slow. The seller advertised on quality and shipping.

👤It is difficult to suck water through. Kids will have trouble drinking.

👤My daughter and I bought these straws to add to our storage. She tried out one of hers. She said it was easy to use and she was happy with hers. I did not use mine because I wanted them for emergency. I would suggest anyone to get some as you never know when you need them. Hope this helps.

👤Thirst is the first to report something. If there is no store on hand or shops that are not open, what do you do? Someone who has a filter will drink water from a lake or river.

👤My daughter and her boyfriend were the recipients of these water filter straws. They like to go hiking, kayaking, and exploring. They went on a six mile hike that they thought was a short hike. They didn't have anything with them. They couldn't see the trail because they didn't have water bottles or shoes. It would have been nice if they had been prepared for the worst case scenario. These water filter straws are easy to carry in a backpack and seem to work well. My kids will carry water filter straws whenever they go hiking. Thank you!

👤I paid for a two pack after I received one.

👤The product was purchased for the "go" bag. If you don't have water to drink, what happens? Thank you for asking!

👤Awesome for hikers and fishermen.
