Brand: Off Grid Tools

👤Got this today. The blade is not sharp enough to cut anything larger than 2 inches in diameter. The hammer claw broke when I pulled out a nail. I'm going to request a refund as this tool seems to be very poorly made and cheap, but I've found better devices that are much better built.

👤It looks useful in the photos. I know that the new version is made in the US, but it's not as good as it could be. The handle is uncomfortable and digs into your hand, the grip bumps make it worse, the knob for opening and closing the saw blade isn't cheap, and you have to take the handle completely apart to change blades. The person who ground the edges is barely hanging on. Prayers and thoughts go out to them. I can't stress enough how this is a piece of furniture that you would buy from a case in a smoke shop. The face had a rounded curve, so I had to grind down the hammer end. Maybe it was to make it easier to pry out nails. The face needs to be straight. You will never use this survival tool to tighten bolts. Ever. If you did it, you'd look like an idiot and lose the respect of your male role model. It would be like having a screw driver attachment on a pizza tray. I wish I had listened to the majority of people who said against buying multi use survival tools. Buy a folding saw. hatchets can be flipped around and used as a hammer and a folding saw won't take up much extra room in your pack. You will be better off.

👤There are some valid gripes about this product. It is an issue. The blade is not just poorly ground, it is also sturdy. It's almost a joke. The edge is folded in a part and I will need to sharpen it with a file. That's what it's being said. It's a great general purpose tool. It is light and has everything you need for an emergency blade. Don't do it if you want to go camping or build a fort. It's an emergency tool. It will take longer. I own hatchets, tomahawks, and other axes. I will take my Cold Steel "Tactical Hawk" along with some other specialized steel if I go camping or know in advance that I'm going into something serious. Four stars because I love the fact that I can use my car as a car escape tool, and I also love the fact that I can use it as a weapon. One star was removed because of the blade. If it fits what you actually need, it's worth $60.

👤The tool has some issues, but the concept is great. The blade of the axe is very dull and will need to besharpened before use. The claw is not very large. I worry that it will break if I try to pry a nail off the wall. The sheath that comes with the tool is cheap. I was expecting a tool made in the USA to be better at this price.

2. Iunio Survival Off Roading Multitool Emergency

Iunio Survival Off Roading Multitool Emergency

Brand: Iunio

👤I can confirm that this is a heavy-duty high-quality tool system. There are bonus features. The male threaded ends work well. This allows you to make a spear with a Schrade SCHF1 knife. There are two more The final cane-tip section can fit over the attachment if it is stored with the business end out. You only have to remove the cane tip to expose the attachment. There are 3 more If you have a way to attach your phone to the staff, it will become a stable monopod. Female threads don't work with male plumbing. The cheap compass needs a lot of shaking to find the North. The handle section is dominated by the traction tip. The can opener at the tip of the knife would make a decent spear. I used the plastic part of the pointless whistle and the ice pick to defend against quadrupeds and bipeds. The designers should add a T handle attachment. I will be attaching a copper plumbing fixture T handle. One side will be fixed so it can be used as a climbing hook. The other side has a magnetic mount for a phone, mirror, or flashlight.

👤I worry about strength and reliability when I see these kinds of tools because they try to do too much instead of focusing on one task and doing it well. The exception is this set. The pick ax head was able to break through the rocky soil with little to no trouble, and the other tools performed way above my expectations. It's a little more expensive than its competitors, but it's worth it. The protective covers for the shovel and other tools are made to protect the bag from being torn. I am very impressed and I am now in my over-landing and offroad gear.

👤I have bought other products from this company and have to say they knocked it out of the park on this one. The best parts of their individual tools and accessories were put into one. A very compact package with durable tools and accessories that will last a lifetime. I chop down a tree with an axe in my back yard. The shovel and axe are both cool. The accessories are great. There are so many uses. I love it! Highly recommended!

👤The kit has a lot of tools. I use this as a walking stick and leave the other tools in the trunk. I would have liked it to include the screwdriver and knife from some of their other products, but I'm happy. I would like to know if they sell all the internal components separately. The outer texture is rough, but they include tape which I didn't want to add on and paracord for the handle which works out great.

👤Solid adjustments of shovel head to different angles are possible with excellent quality welds and carbon steel. A medium duty survival tool/weapon that is perfect to keep in a vehicle for digging out but not used for heavy duty work, aluminum has its limits. The design allows endless attachment combinations for handles and tools, great whistle, flint works, useful knife, and fair compass. Ice pick can be used to make a solid tent peg attachment or to insert a drill rod. The company brags about good service and great product.

3. LEATHERMAN Wingman Multitool Stainless Steel

LEATHERMAN Wingman Multitool Stainless Steel

The chrome vanadium finish is polished. One of their best. The Wingman is a classic, designed and assembled with premium materials and is your go-to tool for projects around the house, on the job or at the campsite. There are 14 tools in one, which include a knife, pliers, screwdrivers, wire cutters, a wire stripper, scissors, a package opener, bottle and can openers, a file and a ruler. They offer a 25-year warranty on their Leatherman, so you can be confident that it will last a lifetime. One-hand opening allows you to open all the tools with one hand, even the ones that aren't accessible from the outside. Always on hand. Your Wingman is always ready to work with its lightweight design and pocket clip.

Brand: Leatherman

👤The knife blade is sharp, the packaging tool is nice, and the assembly seems strong, but that's about all it's got going for it. To get the spring on the scissors' arm, you need to press down on them. You will feel it click into place. It was weeks before I found the solution. It's just the beginning of stupid design issues. You need to open your arms to get at the other tools, except for the knife and scissors, so it becomes pretty award to use, and you're more likely to get your actual screw driver rather than futz around with the ones here. The clip placement is one of the more annoying design issues. The heaviest part of the tool is the jaws and they are the ones that make it easier to slip off your belt or pocket. I tried to move the clip to the other end. It's a no-go. Adding a saw edge to the knife utility is a problem. It takes a long time to cut through an apple and make a mess. A separate saw tool and a knife would be more useful. I can't recommend this item because of the price point. It'll probably work as a tool in my tackle box, but then again, a folding knife and a pair of forceps would cost considerably less.

👤It can be hard to find a good deal on the Leatherman Wingman and Rebar because there are so many other models. Leatherman calls a number of models, and I hope to help in the choice of economical "Full-size" multitools. The full size line of tools are 100mm long when folded, and include the Charge TTi, New Wave, Rebar, and the Wingman. The Rebar and Wingman are more expensive than the other two. There are blade-in and blade-out designs. The Wingman is blade-out and the Rebar is blade-in, both of which require you to open the tool to have access to the knife blade. The Wingman is more convenient if you use it for cutting with the knife blade. The Rebar has replaceable blades. The Wingman has a wire cutter. Both work, but the Rebar works better. The Wingman has a single blade, but it is instantly available because of the blade-out design. The Rebar has a double-sided file that can be used as a hack saw. Wingman has a single-sided, half length file. I think it's worthless. The Wingman has no wood saw, while the Rebar has one. The Wingman has the best scissor in the entire line, while the Rebar has no. The Wingman's pliers are spring loaded. Only the knife and scissor of the Wingman lock have the blades. The lock-release levers protrude enough to catch if you carry it in your pocket. The Wingman has a pocket clip, but the Rebar has a nylon sheath. The Wingman has a rounded shape at the end which makes it better suited for carrying in a pocket. The Rebar's screw driver is better than Wingman's. The Wingman has no awl. The Wingman is the best value at around 22 dollars. Which to buy? If you want a multitool small enough to carry in your pocket, one that you will keep in your desk or kitchen junk drawer, if you will mostly use the knife, and find a scissor handy, I'd recommend the Wingman. If you want a more competent multitool that can compare well with the Wave and Charge, you can choose the Rebar. What if price is not an object? I would recommend the Rebar. The New Wave is 3mm less in breadth and thickness than it is, and it is noticeably lighter. The Wave and Charge are too large for pocket use. The multitools mentioned in this review are of the highest quality and will last a long time. A review here compares the Rebar with the Supertool, as some reviewers have said that Leathermans are not made like they used to be. The Supertool is considerably bigger than the similar design. I have an "old Supertool", made when they still forged "USA" into the pliers, and I can see no difference in quality. The wire cutter of the Rebar is better. They are still made in the USA, but a stupid California law prevents them from putting it on the tool. They are all good if you just buy one or several. I have one in each car, pack, kitchen tool drawer, backpack, etc. I don't think you can have too many Lethermen.

4. Bayite Survival Ferrocerium Paracord Landyard

Bayite Survival Ferrocerium Paracord Landyard

5ft Paracord gives you a good grip and never comes off. Always be prepared to start a fire with the bayite Striker-Pro strikers attached to the paracord. The bayite 6 Striking Edges Striker-Pro is made from tool grade steel and has a distinct hardness, which makes it great for both left and right hands. Don't use a bad quality knife. It won't produce enough sparks if it has insufficient hard blade. The ferrocerium rod is 4 cm in length. The diameter is 10mm. Large enough for a shower of sparks and small enough to carry. The ferrocerium rod is very effective. It works in any weather condition. At any altitude, sparks shower to ignite a fire in any weather. Emergency fire starter for Bushcraft, Hiking, Hunting, Fishing, EDC, Emergency, BBQ, Gas Camp Stoves, etc.

Brand: Bayite

👤This is a back-up fire starter for our camping trip to Boundary Waters Canoe Area. I am impressed with the amount of spark this thing throws. It is my primary fire starter now. If I could only take two items in a survival scenario, this would be #2. It's quality and ability to start a fire make it an insane value. I have gotten less in other products. * Even when your gear gets wet, this works. Keep some magnesium powder with you. * It is simple and predictable. My kids can use it. There is a * The thing is small and light so it won't bother you. * Excellent product/customer support was provided by the package. My own fault was the only flaw I had with it. The ferro rod has a protective coating that has to be removed before it will spark. It took me 4 seconds to realize that it was not a factor. I hope this helps you make an informed decision. There is a I lost my ferro rod. I was going to shoot a video of this thing in action, but I lost it on my last camping trip. I will order this one again, I love it so much. Other rods don't interest me after using this one. There are a lot of reviews against the strikers. The strikers may not be the most comfortable, but they are an intentionally engineered product. The steel in the strikers is a specific steel with a specific composition and hardness. A different strike may not produce the same sparks.

👤I like the paracord lanyard and the fero rod is a good size. I've read that the strikers are so-so. I only paid $9 for this thing and I can get past a mediocre strikers. If you're going to be in the woods, you should have a knife. I have some smaller fero rods that can be a bit awkward to use. The rod is easy to hold. I bought 2 of these for camping and a BOB so I can put them in my day pack and get home bag. It was worth every bit of $9.

👤I played around with it to get a feel for it. Some rods are better than others. I tried a dry cotton ball that I had pulled apart and made into a fluffy "nest" of sorts. The second was a piece of paper. I tried it against a pile of wood. They lit up pretty easily. If you know how to make a fire, it's not a big deal. If you're a learner, you can get yourself some book learnin' on the subject by sitting down with some good old fashioned youtube. Everyone should know how to make fires. A ferro rod is just one of many tools. I found the strikers to be sufficient but not perfect. If you are looking at these, you should have a sturdy knife with you. The strikers is less important if you have a good knife. I will keep them together because they are a decent little kit. It only took me a few flicks with the strikers to light the fires I had been trying to set. This rod is easy to use and durable. I know what to expect from this rod in the event that I ever need to use it. It's all you can ask of a ferro rod.

Brand: Mesqool

👤I just bought this to use as a camping lantern and to get weather reports while camping off the grid. I was surprised by how many channels I could get. Light use has lasted 3 days with the battery. I don't know how long the solar charge takes to charge. The video was taken at home. It is loud and clear with the red light. I'll test the battery life on lights next.

👤I brought it to have a big display, multi power sources, and a flashlight and reading light. It's about the size of a can of soda. It took over an hour to charge, but I left it off and only had one bar left on the power source. The power light will turn green after it was charged. You can only turn it on by closing the hatch completely and pressing the band on the second day. I hope I don't become frustrated in an emergency because I'd rather have a full charge than 3 bars of charge.

👤I am excited to use this item on my first camping trip. I love that it can use a variety of power sources. The light is bright at night. It can charge my phone. I'm ready for anything that comes my way, be it fire, power outage or anything else. Even though there are many functions on it, it was easy to operate. Love it.

👤This product is similar to my grandfather's radio, it has good sound for Am and Fm, but also includes short wave and weather which are used for government and emergencies. The radio is powered by the sun and has a gyro that can be used to charge a battery. A bright led light and red strobe are included in the radio unit. It comes with an emergency location siren. This unit is awesome because of the price.

👤Within a couple hours, the battery was half empty.

👤The first radio had a bad battery. It would not charge fully or hold what it had for a long time. The seller was very responsive and immediately sent a new radio. The second radio and Li-ion work well. The charge is held for 24 hours. Very impressed with their quick response.

👤I am not happy to see how small this radio is. I thought it was a toy. I am not going to use this radio.

👤I bought this because I saw it on tiktok and I am located in Texas so it would be handy for tornado and the next winter freeze. Go a head and buy something. Will update if something happens.

The Akku leer is a nutzung. Gut ist ja, es be findet in dem Gert der an der Unterseite. Im Pluspunkt ist das. Ich is also mal den Akku raus genommen. "Notfall"-Gert sollte der idealerweise bei 0mA liegen. Man es braucht ist der Akku voll. The lag bei 5,5mA d.h. Weder das Hersteller ist, kein GS kein, TV und. Ohne, das Gert meines Wissens in der EU berhaupt ist. Ich hatte die Rezension in der sechsenden war. So richtig schlecht ist. Was it nun? Weniger ist doch arguschend wie "verschwenderisch".

The Tin Container is 4 1/2in x 3 1/2in and contains fatwood sticks. One tactical band. A bag of fatwood chips/dust is 2 1/2in wide and 3in long. The ferro rod will last 1000's of strikes. One (1)... The new bottle opener creates more sparks than the previous model because it's extra thick. There are showers of sparks. The piece of Jute was used to light the fatwood chips. Survival cable hand saw a long blade. The most durable materials are used to make the fire starting kits. All of their fire starting kits are tested before they sell them. Every time, the Wilderness survival kits and firestarters are built in the USA, they are built to perform under the most severe conditions.

Brand: Kaeser Wilderness Supply

👤I have been a hunter, trapper and professional tracker my whole life, I did search and rescue with my pit bull who is trained for it. When my horse fell down a cliff on a rescue, I had to stop breaking my ankle and heel. I have always been the only person who carried a survival bag, pistol and rifle. I never travel with new gear, I test everything at home. The heart wood is perfect, the little knife is great, but the saw is a problem. It cut the wood cleanly the first two times. The survival kit is awesome.

👤I'm very pleased with this product and I'll try to make my review short. The included bottle opener and softer ferro rod makes for a great rod, and it throws more sparks. If you remove some of the paint from the knife, you can strike the ferro rod with a traditional flint and steel style of striking. If you know how to use a wire saw, it's enough for cutting down small trees. I used fat wood to make a few fires, but only as dust, because I don't like using an entire stick to start a fire. The twine was a good starter. It would be better to add more wax to it so that it burns longer. I would recommend the product to anyone who is interested in learning more about fat wood, how to process it, and lighting fires with it.

👤I bought this Pocket survival fire starting kit because it was the only one I needed to start a fire. It's a no-brainer. The items in the kit are of good quality. Everything was included in my kit. I have no doubt that my kit will function as intended, even though I haven't used it yet. The small knife is not razor sharp, but with minor work it should work out just fine. It shaved some hairs from my hand. The wood pieces are long and smell great. I open this kit whenever I want to be in the woods. I'm taken to the back woods. I live in the east and have to travel a lot to appreciate what others have. I love my kit. I think it's good. I did not receive a discount on the item for my review, but I am not affiliated with the vender.

👤The fire starting tin set is worth the money. The items are all of the highest quality, the knife is sharp and thick, the scraper is thick and won't bend. You can smell the pine scent from the fat wood sticks. The metal tin is said to be flimsy or cheap. You can use it for a bug out bag tin kit. It is definitely worth it.

👤I haven't used the thread yet, the pocket saw seems to be adequate though I have bent the one of the rings out of shape, since I most likely bit off more than I could chew by sawing through a big log. I have large hands and the little knife works perfectly for the kit. I don't have any issues using it. The fatwood is bright and fresh. Adding a few things like the "Smiths 50635 Pack Pal Tinder Maker" and a small pencil sharpener would make a difference. A nice kit would make a good gift. I wish the tin had a hinge on it and could snap closed rather than having to use a rubber band, though it's not bad.

7. Bushcraft Survival Building Bushcrafting Backpacking Mvaopa

Bushcraft Survival Building Bushcrafting Backpacking Mvaopa

Wood anger is not limited to doing something, it is an open tool, and what it can do comes from your imagination. It can turn your imagination into reality. It is the perfect tool for any person who likes to hunt, bushcraft, or work with tools. Brand: Mvaopa

👤I saw these on a survival show and was interested. The concept is cool. You can drill a hole and shape a peg with one tool. You should be able to make a pretty sturdy shelter that doesn't rely on a bunch or rope. I wanted to see if this would work for my kids, who are making a fort in the woods. The center screw point on the auger helps pull the bit into the wood. You need a strong stick to put in the eye of the tool so that you can turn the drill bit. The eye is supposed to be used to create a peg. It's not as functional as the auger. You need to trim the end of the stick to a size that is close to the "eye" diameter and then use the "eye" as a way of shaving that end perfectly round. If you try and do something that is too big it will either get stuck or split the stick, which is better than just shaving the end. I tried several different sizes of premade stick-like objects to see what would work as a handle for drilling, but a simple 1in broomstick fits the best and is lightweight. This could be useful in a real emergency situation or in a long-term camping setup. I picked up 4 different types of this tool from 4 different companies, but there are differences between them and here's my thoughts as I compared them while doing the same task: The first two were half-inch diameter and the last two were 1/3 in. I think the shaft will get bendier with the repeated beating and torquing on it, and this didn't seem to affect the function. The welds on all 4 seemed to be functional if not terribly attractive, however the one that gets the lowest rank didn't have full welding into the eye itself which means it will be more likely to snap off. Only one of the sheaths had a real leather one, which set it above the other tool. This tool has a 1/2in shank, solid welds, and a thick synthetic sheath.

👤I have a few of these, including one made by Weyland. The Weyland design has a bladed circular edge to the handle eye so you can baton the end of a stick into a right-sized peg for the hole you just drilled. The Weyland at the eye and the auger bit are sharper. I'll let the Scouts beat it up instead of learning from my better ones.

8. Tyger TG SV8U3217 Multifunction Off Roading Survivalist

Tyger TG SV8U3217 Multifunction Off Roading Survivalist

You can carry the shovel in the bag.

Brand: Tyger Auto

👤This is a very cool shovel. I wanted to put this to the test, but it didn't work out. The bolt fell apart when I flipped up the shovel. I think it's due to the poor quality of the metal. If I had to use this on the trail, what would happen if the bolt broke out of the box? It was an epic failure. The features and accessories are built to be thought out. The sleek aluminum handle feels great in your hands. The shovel's blade is well designed and sharp. I don't understand why a company would use a poor quality bolt to hold a fine unit together. The vendor should replace the unit. If they do, I will update my review. If the bolt held up, I could see this as a 5 star unit. I tried to get in touch with the seller to get a new bolt. I was disappointed in the lack of customer service.

👤I drive a small, off-road capable vehicle and I wanted a multi-functional shovel for camping and general use. The shovel is light and fits in the back of my car. Every component is sturdy and looks great.

👤After using it for the first time. The quality is terrible, but I like the overall package.

👤There were a few different folding showels. The one that proved to be the best was this one. The style of locking mechanism is stronger and more secure than the screw type locking mechanism.

👤I almost didn't order this shovel because of a couple of negative reviews. The company responded to the reviews and stated that they stand behind their products. I decided to give it a try because I noticed that most of the reviews were positive. Best decision. I am very pleased with the tool. It is a high quality product. I put it to the test after taking it out. I started cutting and digging with it. It was perfect. I can't find anything I don't like on it. It is very easy to use and feels very solid in my hands. I was impressed. The case that comes with it is made from thick cordura with wide, strong zippers. Wasn't expecting that...Bonus! Just order it if you are on the fence like me. The survival shovel is amazing.

👤This is very sturdy to begin with. It's very easy to carry once broken down. The features are a little ridiculous for camping. It was too much effort to use the saw for something larger than an inch. The hatchet blade was the same. Only once, but could not get a spark from the magnesium wand. I hope I never have the reason to use whistle. I haven't tried the ice pick yet, but I don't want to camp in the snow. I keep this in my jeep at all times, so who knows. If you plan to buy a saw, hatchet, knife, or other item for regular use, you are buying the wrong product.

Brand: Verifygear

👤The size of the tools and features is not impressive. The whole kit looks to be about 4 x 6. If you compare the size of the multi-tool to the size of the case, you will see what I mean. In an emergency, I wouldn't turn it down. If I had other options, I wouldn't bet my life on it. It's a good idea to put one in the trunk of the car. I was contacted by customer service. They were helpful and concerned with my opinions of their products. I was not expecting that. It was a pleasant surprise. The issue has been resolved.

👤Let down and be dissatisfied! The storage box isn't large enough to hold all of the tools. The box is cheap and doesn't stay closed. The items in the box were cheap. There is a The wire saw and flint were disappointing. spoon multitool, pocket knife and compass were the highest quality items in the box.

👤If someone gets this as a gift and doesn't know what they're getting, they'll have to research to find out. It's assumed that you already know what tools are for and how to use them. The fishing spear is too blunt for a fishing spear and the knife is sturdy and sharp. The rest of the kit is flimsy and prone to breaking. You should make a list of everything that comes in the kit, then write it down. Unless you buy something to store it in, the pen doesn't have a cap and you can't store it without impaling yourself or getting ink on everything. I received one as a gift from my family after buying one by accident.

👤I bought this bag for my husband. He always wanted our family to be ready for anything, but his heart has become even more desperate for equipment to survive. I wanted to surprise him, even though he mentioned a survival kit. I decided on this after reading a lot of comments. He liked it very much and was surprised by the solidity of the whole outfit. He said the knife was strong. He said it looked at the boxes he needed. Everything is on the list. The cloak was purple. It's good because purple is my favorite color. It's a big deal.

👤The kit has some useful bits, but the knife is garbage. It will not lock into open position. Most objects are light and not strong. I knew what I was getting. I have nice knives.

👤I don't know whatthickness means when they ask for comments in the review, so I can't help there. The case's latches are very flimsy and ridiculous to try to open. If you cram everything back in, it will fall out when you open it, so I will need to get a different case. The flashlight has no battery and I'm not sure what size battery it takes as the space for the battery looks to be very odd. I wish I had continued to look at the items.

10. PREPARED4X Compass Survival Paracord Bracelet

PREPARED4X Compass Survival Paracord Bracelet

Made in the USA is made at their headquarters in Wisconsin. Flitz is a family owned company and they have a 30 day money back policy on all of their products. Will not endanger you in an emergency. You can open up the paracord to see 9 life-saving survival strands that are inside its length, and 7 triple-braided strands that you can use as cordage to help tie supports for a shelter. With their camping compass mirror sight feature, you won't need to use the military compass illumination dial because it's easy to see in the dark. It's important to pack this ultimate survival combo into your bug out bag because you never know when you'll be in an emergency setting and you can be prepared with their compass.

Brand: Prepared4x

👤The glow in the dark feature of the compass is great, but the needle was a little dark. It was overcast when I tried it out, so maybe it will light up better with better sunlight. The back of the device had a lot of measurement tools. It was a thoughtful addition. The fire starter throws off a big spark for being small. There is a lot of neat emergency features built in to the compass.

👤The plastic cover on the mirror broke when it was knocked off the counter.

👤We tried the compass on our last hike and it worked very well. It has all the features to make finding your way easy. The lanyard has a whistle and a fire starter. It's a great tool to add to your survival kit.

👤We got this before our first camp. The compass did not work after we tried to fix it together, it was made up of cheap plastic.

👤I received it today and it looks great. It seems like the compass is accurate. It was much nicer than I expected. No instructions came with it. I don't know how to start a fire. Isn't that much a complaint? They need to think about adding. All pleased. The amendment looked at how to use the strikers properly. Works well! The review was changed to 5 stars.

👤I replaced the line with the paracord and made the hole bigger with a knife because the necklace doesn't hold the compass well. The ferro rod works great, but if you want a good price, you can fix the cord.

👤I got this for Christmas and am learning to read. If you don't pre set it and lose the screw tool on the trail, you are screwed, because this is a screw only declination scale. I might return it once I do more research on the ones that don't have a screw tool.

👤I use a compass a lot as a scouter and this is a nice replacement. It's nice to have a fixed declination and inclination for the price. There is a new addition for paracord in the lanyard.

👤It is very easy to use.

11. ├╝berleben Bushcraft Handcrafted Traditional Survival

The Znden Fire Starter is a ferro rod that is as timeless as fire and will help get your flames lit. Their igniters are made from ferrocerium, a sparking metal used with steel. Their trademark Snft-korr ferrocerium blend is a perfect balance that boasts both softness and durability. You can start any fire with ease at any altitude, even if it's wet. The handcrafted firewood handle is. The handle of their fire starter is made from premium 100% hardwood and is made to give a natural textured grip while you rain down molten spark showers of up to 5,500F/3,000C and turn that natural finish into a seasoned one. Each fire rod comes with a lanyard and multi-tool, and a bottle opener. There are three different sizes available. The Znden Fire Starter is available in three different thickness options: The Pro at 10mm, the Fatty at 1/200 and the Trad at 8mm.

Brand: ├╝berleben

👤Being able to start a fire is the second most important need to maintain life, behind shelter, and it is important to be able to start a fire. Almost every method used to start a campfire, warm a person, cook a meal, provide signaling smoke during the day, or signal light in the dark is inherently fatal. Wood or Paper Stick Matches can be lost, get wet, or be completely used, the special strips needed to ignite waterproof matches can be lost or scratched out, and Lighters can blow out in high winds. The one fire-starting tool that won't fall victim to these previously noted failures has a neck lanyard that you can slip over your head to avoid losing. I've used many types of steel, but this is the best I've ever used. There are three different sizes of the fire steel, which is called the Zunden Bushcraft Fire Steel with Wood Handle and Neck Lanyard. ferrocerium rod diameters of 5/16", 3/8", and 1/2" The Zunden Bushcraft Fire Steel has a ferrocerium rod and wooden handle that are flattened on two opposing sides to make it easy to hold. It's a 6-in-1 multi-tool that has a map scale, scraper, straight-edge spine, wrench, ruler, and bottle opener. The seller says that each fire steel will give 12,000 to 20,000 strikes. I will take their word for it. I don't think my old wrists, forearms, and shoulders still have many strikes left in them. I will leave that testing to the younger guys. The tapered wooden handle with a neck lanyard allows the user to have a stable grip on the fire steel and control its position just above the tinder. The second most important need to maintain life in the wilderness is taken care of nicely. I keep one of the Zunden Bushcraft Fire Steels with Wooden Handles on the leather sheath of my small, large, and Mongo-size bushcraft / survival knives because one or two of them will always be on the back and side of my belt. Each of them are made from top quality materials, assembled with excellent craftsmanship, and provide me with a survival tool I can depend on to preserve my life, and the lives of the people accompanying me. The wooden handle is very comfortable to hold, it's sanded smoothly, but not finished, and it's a shade that nicely complement the ferrocerium rod, so I can apply a wipe-on wood stain to it. My wife says that you can look good while using your bushcraft skills. A happy wife makes for a happy life. It is important to note that the black coating material on all of the rods must be removed completely to get the best performance. If you can get the rod to spark, you can start the lawnmower engine with an empty, dry, gas tank.

👤The berleben Znden is by far the most efficient and easy to use fire starter I've used. My other emergency strikers can produce sparks, but with a lot of effort. It's not good when you really need a fire and you're tired. My current stock is miles below this fire starter. It takes very little effort and produces a lot of spark. My daughter was going to start a fire when we went camping, so I was looking for a perfect strikers. She couldn't get a good spark on any of my other strikers even after hours of practice. She was able to light a cotton ball within seconds of putting this in her hand. The wooden handle feels good in my large hand as well as my daughter's small hand. I have no doubt that either of us would be able to light a fire with this exceptional strikers. On my most recent camping trip, I lit a fire with this strikers while standing over my kindling. I didn't think it would light it. I would give this player more stars.
