👤Se sabe un tarp econmico. Las costuras estn reforzadas con buenos materiales. Y forma gracias a las agarres. The material is impermeable and sombra agradable. The tarp ms caro tiene ser una rasgarse. No tiene un trabeculado en su textura pero es ms grueso. Con un cordn, viene con suficiente holgura. 6 plumas para fijar al suelo de aluminio. Me gust mucho.

👤The tarp only has single stitch through it and the high tention tie downs. I will have to take it to a seamstress. Cheap, no quality effort.

👤The 106 X 82" tarp is a perfect fit for the Coleman Sundome tent, or any 9X7 tent that does not come with a footprint. You can use the same stake for the corners of both the tarp and the tent if you use the same grommets/tabs. It can be squeezed into the tent bag. Don't be alarmed if the tarp doesn't extend out beyond the tent's floor; a tent ground cloth isn't supposed to. Campers make the mistake of using a tarp that's larger than their tent, but doing so just invites pooling of water around their tent. Ask a backpacker about tent footprints. Backpackers are motivated to avoid problems.

👤I used this item at a campsite to test out my gear before embarking on a long adventure. Since my tent is one of the ultralite option tents, I thought it would be best to use a footprint to protect it. I put this footprint down on the straw and the straw fibers passed through it and stabbed my hand. I didn't set my tent up on this thing or setup my air bed because they both would have had pin holes through them and left me with a surprise on a rainy day. I had a cheap blue tarp from homedepot which I laid down and it proved to be waterproof and also prevented the straw fibers from passing through and damaging my tent and my air bed. My point is that the blue tarp from homedepot is cheaper than the tarp that is currently on the market. If you want to save money, you should go to homedepot because once penetrated, it is no longer waterproof.

👤The guys are very smart about their ground sheet. The ground sheet I've tried is the exact dimensions of my tent, but it's made just the tiniest bits smaller in each direction to make it fit without any overhang. The corner loops line up perfectly with a single set of steaks. The material is thin but rugged and can be packed into either a bag or a tent and it doesn't take up any extra space. It's like the guys who made it go camping for the first time.

👤I needed a ground cloth for my tarp camping, and this fit the bill perfectly. I put it out, staked it down, and added my sleep system. The tarp is well made and it is easy to stake down. I would buy it again and recommend it.

👤I was pleasantly surprised to purchase this tarp. When I threw a bucket of water on the tarp, it looked like it was of decent quality. It is important that this shelter is water resistant because I am using it as a tarp shelter. I put my own grommets in the corners of the tarp to make up for the fact that there are only two grommets between the corners. I have yet to try it out in adverse conditions but based on this test run I think it will perform well.

3. Texas Bushcraft Waterproof Backpacking Reflective

Texas Bushcraft Waterproof Backpacking Reflective

Everyone says they enjoy it. A great gift for someone who likes to travel. Uplayteck is dedicated to solve all your issues and is committed to delivering a great experience for all buyers. Under the protection of a Texas Bushcraft Survival Tarp, savesay The waterproof tarp is designed to help you overcome outdoor adversity in any season. If the coast is clear, hide until help arrives with this emergency tent tarp. There is plenty of room for you and an associate to hunker down when circumstances go awry. It can be used to create waterproof tent flooring or as a survival shelter. It can be used as an emergency blanket with the reflective side helping to preserve body heat. The Texas Bushcraft Tarp is made from 70D ripstop nylon tarp denier and has a 15,000mm waterproof PU coating. The waterproof heat tape seam along the ridgeline is reinforced with webbing, making it a reliable shelter from downpours and rough terrain. Under the reflective-tarp, stay alert. The tarp is made of aluminized polymers to deter heat loss. It helps you stay cooler in the summer. It protects from hot campfire embers. It's a great cover for your camp kitchen. The built-in tie-points include nylon loops along the sides of the camp tarp and ridgeline loops on the outside. All of them are made of nylon and have brass grommets for use in tent stakes, bungee cords or rope. Hanging loops in the center help organize gear.

Brand: Texas Bushcraft

👤The tarp was used as a rainfly on a 7 day trip to use as a hammock and was opened on one side during the day. A little heavy with good stitching. The temp was from 80F to 19F and had 3 days of rain. The whole time it was nice and stayed nice, but it didn't move after the first night. The bag is high quality, but I don't know if it will go back in the bag without some high quality rolling and folding. I wouldn't compare the reflective layer to Mylar but it does reflect the heat of a campfire back at you. The 10x10 is very useful. I would recommend this to anyone after a very strong tarp who didn't care about the weight.

👤The tarp is thick with sturdy tie-outs, which is the only potential negative with it. The reflective inside could be a real life saver. The video shows an overview. I've never seen this company before, but they make a nice tarp. A great piece of gear.

👤This tarp is great. Excellent stitching, lots of securely attached loop ties, and a fantastic selection of materials. Good hooks. This is a quality product that was put into my bag. The double walled tarp is too heavy for those looking for light weight gear. I became a fan of the "Texas Bushcraft" brand after getting their blanket. I spent most of my life in a neighboring state, but I do not live in Texas. I wouldn't be a fan of anything that says "Texas" on it. Everyone knows that Texas people like big hats, bland food, and can't hit a pie plate of 100 yards. They can make blankets and tarps. Go figure.

👤A bit stronger than my other tarps. The reflective inner surface is great for emergency blanket use. I like the canvas tabs and brass grommets. They're not as heavy as you can get, but they're not cheap either. At this price point, I would have thought that some basic guy lines and stakes would have been included. You'll have to come up with your own. The tarp is heavy for the backpacking crowd, but will work well for front country campers, Scouts, etc. I usually use a tarp larger than the one I use over my hammock, but I'm not sure if this will work in the most heavy rains. 10x10 is better for survival and bush-crafting because of heat, but is a little small for a normal shelter.

👤I have a crazy storm proof hammock tarp from Hennessy that is great, but it is expensive and not particularly durable, so I don't take it on backpacking trips. The Kelty tarp is cheap and just about my gold standard, but I tore it right in two, because I left it unattended during a rainstorm. This is a good replacement for the Kelty. It is a good size to pitch a hammock. It is durable. The taped seams and multiple tie out options are high on the mid range for durability without going full military surplus. The sack size is generous. If it rains and I go somewhere on foot, I wear a tarp to keep the rain off, but when I go camping, I like to put my roof away fast since it is the last step in the process. The big bag makes it easy for the tarp to fit even with several lines attached. I think the aluminized coating helps reflect heat from a fire more effectively than a non-coated tarp, but I couldn't see any heat reflectivity when I wore it. It is less effective than the Reflectix pad in my hammock. That is a seat of the pants impression. It is a tarp that is light and cheap and looks like it will last.

4. FREEKITE Lightweight Waterproof Bushcraft Backpacking

FREEKITE Lightweight Waterproof Bushcraft Backpacking

Water penetration would never happen because of the heat seal and melting process. UV proof The rain hammock fly can be put up as an awning is effective at blocking the sun's rays. It protects your skin from the sun. portable It's convenient to put it into a lightweight sack when not in use. The large size is 10 10ft. You can consider the thickness of the fabric, excellent quality portable awning for camping, if you choose to use the Ultralight weight trap. Strengthen tear resistant and puncture resistant material without worry. The ridgeline seam is reinforced to prevent it from falling off. It works well as a sleeping pad, rain cover, tarp sunshade, and canopy for camping. Everything of survival backpacking items: 1 hammock rain fly with Grommets, 4 nylon guy lines with tensioners, and 1 stuff sack. The shelter has 19 guy points and 5 strengthen points. It's easy to set up a hammock shelter to avoid wind and rain.

Brand: Freekite

👤I haven't tested in a rainstorm or wind yet, but I'm very relieved. I'm looking forward to testing in the rain and wind. It seems like a legit permanently waterproofed construction. It has good stitching, bar-tacks, loops and grommets. I like the color and feel of the 10x10 olive that I got. I want to build a SUV awning that will cover all four doors and fit an entire tent underneath, as well as not letting windy rain in, so I need something bigger. I spent hours searching Amazon and the web, and can't justify spending a ton of money on something that I don't know what I'm getting. I decided to get a tarp for now. I was pleasantly surprised that the configurations on my SUV gave me more room than I expected. I'm looking forward to using this for tarp camping, and substituting for a rainfly for my cheap tent from Academy. I felt confident using it on my SUV. If high winds come along and put it to the open hatch of an SUV, it feels like it might be able to do okay, even though it might be in danger of being torn apart. I need to do that. That's all for now. I hope to add this to the review in some weather. Thanks.

👤I used it on my first camping trip. I arrived at the site with an extra pair of hands and was quick to set up. I'm not sure how easy it would be to do it on my own. It is protected from the rain and has plenty of shade. I didn't know I needed one. This was a good option to buy a roof rack awning. I will probably add a roof rack awning in the future, but for now this is a great option.

👤The stitching is coming apart after a few hours of being set up. The ends break away from the main body when you use it a few times. It is waterproof.

👤There were no problems with water or hemlines coming undone. On the last days of our time out, we stayed cool in the shade on a couple sunny days and had a terrible downpour. I was pleased with myself.

👤It has kept me dry at least a dozen times this year. I would recommend buying at least two. You have more room to move around.

👤This is a great resource to have on hand for many reasons. It is easy to use the light. There are a lot of options and uses.

5. KALINCO Waterproof Mutifunctional Footprint Lightweight

KALINCO Waterproof Mutifunctional Footprint Lightweight

AquaQuest products are backed by a lifetime warranty. The Pacific Northwest is where the customer service is based. Call toll-free for more info. There are multiple functions. The camping tarp rain fly can be used as survival tarp, hammock rain fly, outdoor kitchen cover, simple tent, tent footprint, picnic blanket, ground sheet, instant shade, etc. Waterproof: The tarp tent is made from a type of fabric that is waterproof and has a central seam that is ideal for rain flies. 19 reinforced attachment tie loops, including 3 in the ridge line for overhead hanging, can get all angles covered. Double reinforced stitches can prevent ripping and leaking in extreme conditions. Light weight: The tarp tent only weighs about three and a half pounds. There are 6 guy lines, 6 stakes and a carrying bag. It's easy to keep in your backpack. The camping tarp is easy to use and has a carrying bag. If you want to use the tarp as a tent footprint, unfold it and lay it on the ground.

Brand: Kalinco

👤The price is the only thing cheap about this tarp. The ridge line seam is factory taped, the materials are quality, the stitching is perfect, and every tie out loop is back reinforced with heavier material. Impressive! It is light enough for shorter trips with the tarp by its self weighing 29.9 ounces, the stuff sack at.8 ounces, and the six quality aluminum Sheppard's hook stakes, guy lines and small stuff sack weighing 6.9 ounces. For a total of 38.6 ounces. The tarp was spelled as a trap on the sack. Recommended!

👤If you want to start tarp camping, this is the one to try. It is 869g. The guy lines are 16g and the stakes are 15g. I've switched to half the weight and 3 times the price, but only after using this one for a long time to know I love the style. The 10x10 is large. It gives you a lot of options, including a roomy setup for severe storms. I've used it in a lot of weather. There are enough guy lines, the stakes are pretty descent, and it's tough. I would take 2 more stakes. You have more options than 6. It's lighter than most tents and hammocks, but it's still heavy for tarp camping. I use a ground cloth with it. I don't have to worry about the floor since I backpack with my dog. In bad storms, we don't get flooded by the water in the bathtub floor tent. I spend a couple days flipping over to get it dry, but my gear is all dry.

👤It gets 5 stars for the price. The tie outs are reinforced very nicely. The material is strong. I have had heavier duty thicker tarps from bushcraft USA, but also for a lot more money. I don't think the thinner material is a problem, just make sure burning embers don't land on it. A raised triangular piece of material is used to reinforce the middle tie outs. They are nice when you tarp under a ridge line. Pull outs can be used in the front and back if you run the tarp over top of a ridge line. There are lots of options, good quality tarp. It comes with stakes and guy lines.

👤I bought this as a footprint for my tent. It works well. The tent has been protected by the thin material. That makes me happy. It can be used as a survival shelter in an A-frame or Lean-to configuration.

👤The tarp has 19 guy loops and I was interested in it. I haven't seen this on these tarps in a while. My tarp is an Aquaquest. Some of my favorite configurations require a square tarp. I bought a coffee colored 10x10 The tarp in its bag is on my scale. That is pretty light. I don't understand the reviews that say it's on the heavy side. The Aquaquest is the same weight. The construction looks good. Double-stitching, re-enforced corners, and guy loops are some of the things that can be done. There were missed stitches on each guy loop re-enforcement. There are holes, but there is no stitching. This is not a big deal to me. It's a tarp. I can easily fix that problem myself, but I don't think it has much effect on the tarp's strength. The center seam appears to have been applied well. The tarp is covered by a double-stitch. The bag has a lot of room for the tarp, stakes and lines. The lines are junk. I use paracord or bankline. The supplied lines would be acceptable for a clothesline in a camp. The aluminum stakes should be functional in soft ground. I don't use them. The coating is 3000mm. If true, this tarp should be able to hold up to rain. I pitched this tarp in a plow-point configuration in the rain last week. The rain ran down and off the tarp as I watched my dog and I stay dry inside. There was no leaking at the center seam. Time will tell how well this tarp holds up. If you're new to tarp camping and want to check it out, I think you could go wrong for the price. You can experiment with many configurations with 19 guy loops.

Brand: Free Soldier

👤This tarp has been with me for over a year. I used it to cover my hammock in the winter. I had it in constant rain for 3 days and 2 nights, and my bedding and hammock stayed dry all weekend. The water is kept out completely by the taped seams. The square shape and generous tie out tabs make it versatile for rigging tarp shelters. It is a bit heavier than some of the higher end silnylon offerings, but it is still a great value and built like a tank.

👤Nice design and construction, but not worth the added cost. I bought a tarp for a bugout. I let a friend use a second bugout bag after buying a Free Soldier tarp. They were being used for the first time. The Free Soldier tarp had more than double the tie-down straps and was more durable than the Chill Gorilla tarp, but the limited number of tie-down points restricted how many configurations were available. I bought more Free Soldier tarps. I didn't get any incentive to write a review or compare products. I don't have an affiliation with either manufacturer.

👤A man. Oh man. I spend more money trying to find a good product. I did a lot of research on this tarp. I guess it checked all of the boxes, but not quality control. It arrived today. I was careful with the box and checking it out. The backyard has a few common tarp pitches that are shown on various videos. The perimeter loops were anchored. I tried to use a trekking pole as a prop. I acted with caution because I am aware of what can be tight. I loosened up the pole to make a peak. What is that? I can see why it failed. The sewn on loop is about a quarter of an inch wide. The loop has a serious zig zag stick that is nice, but it poked enough holes into the material to form the seam, that it basically cut it like a knife. darn darn darn. I stopped there. It was wrapped up in a trash bag and thrown in the recycle bin. Oh well. Another inferior product. I don't expect miracles. I think it will last longer than 30 minutes. I took it out of the recycle bin. I believe there are five locations along the ridge line where a strip of duct tape can be used to support fabric. There is a One way to fix this is to have the ridge seam at least an inch or better yet an inch and a quarter wide, maybe even an inch and a half wide. It needs to be the strongest part of the tarp since the two halves are joined together. I'll fix it with duct tape and keep it for a shade awning when I'm camping. Oh well. Peace, RL.

👤I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and ease of use of this tarp. I used it on a long, windy, rainy weekend in the woods. Tarp did a great job. The tarp's abundance of tie outs was a selling point for me. It was much easier to set up in the winds we had this weekend. The weekend was warm and dry despite the rain and high winds. The work is done well. It didn't bleed through, so I was surprised. Even though it had rained most of the night, there was no damage to the fabric of the bag that was pushed against the tarp. The addition of a couple of tie out loops inside along the ridge line is something I would love to see. It would be amazing to be able to hang a bug net inside during the summer.

👤This looks like it will be waterproof, it has a green and silver lining that tells me that. I know that everything is not going to last forever. If this can last me at least 4 years, I'll buy another one in a few years to replace it, and it would cost you at least $60 if you bought all this stuff separately.

Brand: Aqua Quest

👤I am a Bushcrafter and a Videographer. Every year, I spend 50 days in the wilderness. These are my go-to tarps. I use them as a shelter to sleep in, over a hammock, or as a kitchen or gear storage. I have five of them and they have weathered the storm. They have you covered whether you are a day-tripper or a professional. So if you need a tarp? This is the one. I buy them just like everyone else and I didn't get paid to endorse this product.

👤It's done! The tarp was perfect. I don't own a tent. I like camping in the open air in the weather that makes bugs and snakes cringe, and I like a good snow storm. I own a lot of different types of tarps. I own several Aqua Quest tarps. I have great respect for this company. It is square, and allows all of the square-tarp configurations, but 15-foot-square is a different reality. The floor plan under this is a 225- square-foot one, with enough room for multiple people and plenty of head room, as a tri-folded tube there is enough room for the material to endure the thaw freeze cycles in the field without complaint. I use this tarp to hold my sleep-Kit when I carry equipment by ATV, or even a real mule. I don't think the price is unreasonable, but I do recommend that you understand the tarp choices before you buy, because this is a fantastic tarp, but you won't like it if it isn't the right one for the job. Take the time to review the lineup, get the best fit, and then try wearing it out with mature use as Aqua Quest has one of the best tarps available. I dare you!

👤It's a bit heavier than other tarps. It is leak proof and has many guys out hoops, allowing many set ups. I have been using mine for a while and I love it.

👤This was bought before the trip. I have used it many times for week long excursions. The tarp is waterproof, rugged, and versatile. It's been a long time since we've been out camping in a storm. It's held up great despite the 50 MPH gusts in the rain for hours and hours during the night. It is a bit dirty from use, but it is still new and would look brand new if I cleaned it up. I was expecting a few uses for the price, but I was going to buy a larger tarp to replace it, and I'll be camping in winter for the first time.

👤I use this tarp as a secondary shelter when I camp in the Pacific Northwest. I usually use a ten-foot pole to set it up. There is virtually no wear on the stake loops. I've had it partially over my fire several times, and there's not a single hole from a spark on it. It protects you from wind, sun, and rain. I wish it was a little more light and compact. I was expecting it to be a little lighter than a canvas tarp, but it is certainly more compact and light than that.

Brand: Swiss Safe

👤I was not happy with the photos. The tent is made of the same material and weight as a blanket, but it does not feel like it will hold up against heavy rain or wind. The green color is semi reflective and more of a gold color. I purchased this because of the green color, but it won't blend well with environments. I was misled by the fact that it doesn't have anything to stake to the ground as pictured and that it looks like it has tie down loops along the base. Although this will work as an emergency cover, I was expecting more than just two Mylar blankets. It is inexpensive and will work. I replaced my poncho with a new emergency shelter.

👤One of the zip ties was missing, which is not a problem for this shelter. The bigger problem is that it's missing something. A bag. This is a great emergency shelter. It is lightweight and compact. All of its components are in its own clear plastic packaging.

👤I have used tube tents before. They are usually very thin. This one is much stronger and comes with the accessories needed to pitch it. Very happy with the purchase. When you have to bug out, you need to travel light and hopeful to a place that allows more creature comforts.

👤I remembered that our emergency kit needed to be updated. This looked the most sturdy, and came with more rope than others. The structure is sturdy and the company sent tips for how to use it outside of the tube construction, which is useful. It fits 2 adults or a few kids. I hope I never use it. I may order an extra for the kids to make a play fort.

👤The manufacturer gave me extra ideas. You don't need two trees to make this work, that's my biggest concern. I put the tips inside the bag that contained the tent. I bought this to put in an emergency kit, but it might be a good idea to put it in a backpack for a day hike.

👤This is a good thing. Light weight and easy to carry. It is open on both ends, but it is better if there is an emergency. It's easy to keep in a glove box or a back pack. Would definitely recommend.

👤I have not used it, but it is easy to set up. Looks good.

👤Ripstop material, winter weight, reflective corners are the pros. There are no clips to hang the bag. I bought this rainfly because I didn't like any of the other ones. The first thing I noticed was how heavy it was. The ripstop fabric is heavy in the winter. I had to dig around in the description to find that it was only mentioned once. My friend who has a real rainfly was having trouble with hers blowing around when I was setting it up. I like that it's more durable. The heavy metal attachment points were the big issue that I fixed. If you're going backpacking, there's no reason for them. I was able to cut them off with a hacksaw because they're made from cheap steel. Plastic would probably be just as good as metal. The storage bag weighed in at 2 lbs 10oz and 1.1 lbs before my modifications. I shaved off 5oz. It doesn't seem like much, but you can feel it. The black metal clips in the picture are only 1.5 grams in weight. The way I attached the guy cords made it easy for me to get in and out of the hammock, I'm 6 feet tall. Even though I'm probably going to only use this to cover the hammock, there is still someVersatility built into the design. The cords themselves aren't reflective, which is a nice touch. They're not hard to see in the dark, but against the pine needle floor of the forest, it's hard to see. I will replace those cords with reflective ones. Adding a clip to the bag made it easier to store the other little bags that held my topquilt, underquilt, pillow and other items. The double wide "Winner Outfitters" hammock is also sold on Amazon with upgraded and lighter 12KN wire gate carabiners. A rainfly for backpacking is not a bad one, with a few modifications almost anyone can make.

👤I took everything out of the bags and the price was good for the package deal, but I was disappointed with the tent stakes. Time will tell with fog at the beach if the rain fly material is waterproof. I am looking forward to car camping this summer. It can be used in many different ways. I'm not sure if I'll use it for the footprint or beach canopy.

👤It was used in heavy rain. I stayed dry in my hammock and the tarp held up.

👤This is light and suitable for backpacking.

👤Exactly what I was looking for. Can't wait to use them on my next camping trip!

👤It was very good being used 24/7.

👤I enjoy hammock camping. It's an old joke that a vegan and a hammocker walk into a bar and everyone knows it. I am always on the lookout for inexpensive, high- value items that I can lend out or gift to friends and family that want to join me on my adventures. Most of the boxes are checked by this tarp. It costs 1/3rd of the price, but is over twice the weight of my high-end tarp. There is a Excellent quality reflective guy lines are included. There is a The stakes are made of aluminum. I wouldn't be surprised if they were made in the same factory. The tarp will eventually wear off, because it is PU coated. I have other coated tarps that are 6-7 years old and still going strong, despite the fact that some coating only last a year or two. At this price point, the tarp can be easily replaced, however, only time will tell how long this one holds up. There is a If you hang the tarp up on a warm, sunny day and saturate the non-coated side in Silicone spray, you can extend the life of the tarp. There are tie-out on the sides of the tarp that allow you to expand the area under the tarp. This feature is nice. My only complaint is that the tie outs around the edges of the tarp, while well reinforced, use grommets, as opposed to simple loops or D-rings. Grommets are not as strong as other methods of attachment. This tarp is an excellent value. You won't find much better for the price. If you're just getting into hammock camping and don't know if it's your jam, get this one and hit the trail. You can gift this to someone else down the road.

👤I like camping with a hammock, rather than a tent. I like taking another shelter over my cooking area in case the rain comes and I have a tarp on my hammock to protect me. This fits the bill. This tarp is large enough for a few people. There are many tie points around the perimeter of the tarp, which is great to have an option of setups. You can do a flat canopy, an A frame, a closed A frame, a wind shield, asymmetrical canopy, and many other things if you add the central loops across the center line. Also, etc. A lot of tarps in this price range only have half as many tie points as this one does. The set includes rope and ground stakes that are usable. The ground stakes are pretty standard. I like to use my own paracord, even though the rope is good for most applications. I had to tie a few of them together because they weren't long enough to tie down to the trees in the area. They performed well. There was some flex but they held on. The tarp was good. The table didn't have a shelter when we were tent camping this time around, because it rained off and on. The tarp was put on the table and we moved it away from the water. It kept the area dry and we were able to cook and eat under it even during a rainstorm. I noticed that one of the grommets seemed to be separate from the strain, and we had the tarp tied off. We didn't have to tie it tight, just enough to take the slack out of the tarp. I'm going to keep an eye on it because when we took it down it looked like it was no worse for wear. It might be a problem if it can't handle its own weight. Hopefully this isn't true. There is a I plan on keeping the tarp in my kit for future use, but I'm happy with this tarp. The size is large. It is waterproof even with the stakes and cordage.
