👤I fit in this bag with enough room to spare, I'm 6' and 250 lbs. If I lay down, standing up covers my shoulders and I can bend my knees a little. I can cover my head. If you are going to lay down, you need to insulate yourself from the ground in a place like this, because it is very windy and raining. If you were careful, it would probably last a couple nights. The mylar bags are just a little more bulk. Duct/packing tape is a good idea in your emergency kit. I'm assuming that if you spend hours inside it you will end up wet from condensation build up, as it's essentially a plastic bag, but I was not in it for that long. Under idea circumstances, the indoors have a clean wood floor. I was able to get it back into it's little bag after rolling it back up. I didn't attempt it, but I think you could. The little mylar emergency blankets have been upgraded.
👤I was able to give this a try in the cold desert air late at night because I didn't have the means to test it out in the great outdoors. The ground was bone-piercingly iciness, and the wind was going strong. I was skeptical of the little thing being able to provide much heat, but when I got it unfolded and crawled inside, I was very convinced. It was a little on the small side for a person like myself, but you have to do it in an emergency. I could see myself using this in a non-simulated life-or-death scenario because it insulated me from both the ground and the outside air. That may be my imagination. The product worked as advertised. I only knocked off points for the slightly smaller size and the way it feels. I was worried that I would have to kick a hole through it while I was sleeping.
👤I bought this for my survival kit when I go hunting. The guide had everything. I started assembling a survival kit after I got home. I researched emergency sleeping bags that don't take up a lot of space in your pack and do the job. This met my requirements. Do yourself a favor, don't put your life in the hands of a guide if he doesn't have the equipment to keep you alive. Chances are he doesn't. My last guide didn't have a sat phone or a personal locator device, so I'll have one on my next trip. We made it back to his truck after he broke a few ribs in an atv accident. The fringe of our camp had been visited by a grizzled animal. We hunted around a lake. He had no safety equipment for an emergency. I hope I never have to, but I do want to return home vertical, and I haven't tried this yet. I'll have a well equiped survival kit with this life bivy in it. Good luck and safe hunting.

👤We gave these to homeless people and they seem to like them.
👤I got these because they were cheap and I was surprised at the quality. The curtains were down for a few weeks so I only needed two to see the heat from the two sunny windows. I have camping gear in the car. I thought I would need extras because they wouldn't hold up. I put them on the window frame at night so I don't have to look at it. I thought they might rip up, but they are holding up. I can peel the tape off without the reflective part peeling off. I had temporary use for them. They would work well as an emergency blanket.
👤These things are large. It was much bigger than I thought. I didn't think they would work, but they warmed up immediately. Can't wait to try them out.
👤I use these to cover plants. Work well!
👤The heat comes through windows from the sun. It acts like a one way mirror during the day, with a heavy tinted window effect. When looking at it from the outside, it's barely visible.
👤You have to keep one in your car. I would love to have one in my car on January 29th. Atlanta Slowpocalypse! My first test was to stand outside in the cold weather of Atlanta with nothing but a t-shirt on. I wrapped it around myself and felt like Batman. I stayed outside for 15 minutes, and the longer I stood there the warmer I got. I had intended to give them all away as stocking stuffers, but I had to convince them not to. I only gave one away.
👤I like the product. I received a 3 pack with no resolve after ordering a six pack. The product is functional.
👤There is nothing to complain about so far. The space blankets are very thick. I opened one to make sure it covered the entire upper torso and genitalia. It did all of them. I would buy the 10 pk. You can put them in multiple places you deem necessary.

Swiss Safe guarantees customer satisfaction or a full refund.
👤I was not happy with the photos. The tent is made of the same material and weight as a blanket, but it does not feel like it will hold up against heavy rain or wind. The green color is semi reflective and more of a gold color. I purchased this because of the green color, but it won't blend well with environments. I was misled by the fact that it doesn't have anything to stake to the ground as pictured and that it looks like it has tie down loops along the base. Although this will work as an emergency cover, I was expecting more than just two Mylar blankets. It is inexpensive and will work. I replaced my poncho with a new emergency shelter.
👤One of the zip ties was missing, which is not a problem for this shelter. The bigger problem is that it's missing something. A bag. This is a great emergency shelter. It is lightweight and compact. All of its components are in its own clear plastic packaging.
👤I have used tube tents before. They are usually very thin. This one is much stronger and comes with the accessories needed to pitch it. Very happy with the purchase. When you have to bug out, you need to travel light and hopeful to a place that allows more creature comforts.
👤I remembered that our emergency kit needed to be updated. This looked the most sturdy, and came with more rope than others. The structure is sturdy and the company sent tips for how to use it outside of the tube construction, which is useful. It fits 2 adults or a few kids. I hope I never use it. I may order an extra for the kids to make a play fort.
👤The manufacturer gave me extra ideas. You don't need two trees to make this work, that's my biggest concern. I put the tips inside the bag that contained the tent. I bought this to put in an emergency kit, but it might be a good idea to put it in a backpack for a day hike.
👤This is a good thing. Light weight and easy to carry. It is open on both ends, but it is better if there is an emergency. It's easy to keep in a glove box or a back pack. Would definitely recommend.
👤I have not used it, but it is easy to set up. Looks good.

👤I give these to the homeless in Massachusetts. They work well. They are perfect for emergencies.
👤It arrived on time. It feels very sturdy. The orange color is very bright. It is an added benefit for search and rescue. It is very light. In the event of a natural disaster, it is in my GO bag. Have yet to use it. I feel confident in the quality of the tent to protect me from the elements.
👤I took this out of the bag. I could see that the mites had gotten into the fabric and eaten it. I'm disgusted!
👤I got 2 of these for my aircraft, along with first aid kits and space blankets. Light weight and nice hope I never need them.
👤The "durable material" feels like plastic wrap and tears like it, it's nearly impossible to get back in the bag, and it's just a silver layer.
👤Light weight addition to a hiking pack. Thanks!
👤It works in my bag. If an emergency happens, I feel better.
👤A good tent for emergencies. Not for long term camping. For an emergency or one night. I learned the hard way that it wasn't made for a 3 week trip.
👤My husband loves it when he does solo days for ice fishing or hunting in the bush and he has a lightweight pack for emergencies.
👤It's a strong material for camping.
👤Good for emergencies. It is fairly cheap. A bit pricey.

👤I thought I'd use this to see what it was like. I used this and my sleepwear for insulation and a pillow while I was outside last night. I can't control the weather in California and the temperature was 60F. There are a few things to know about this bag. I was warm first. I was wet. This is a mylar bag with a silver interior and orange exterior. The mylar bag is not air-tight. Your body emits small amounts of water when not sweating. After an hour and a half there was a layer of water on the inside of the bag, so it felt wet everywhere I touched it. You will need to air it out after using it. You will need to wrap yourself around yourself to retain heat because this doesn't have any means of closing the opening. It takes a lot of patience to get the mylar bag to fit into the nylon holding bag, even though it is a reuse. Your body makes a lot of noise. You'll stay warmer if you wear a hat. The bag is tough. It will take some abuse, but branches will rip it open quickly. The tape seems to be tight.
👤I tried it out in 60 degrees. It worked. I live in the North woods and it was during the -60 F polar vortex. I wore only sweat pants and a shirt. I was very comfortable, warm, not cold, and could have stood outside for hours if I had not pulled the survival sleep bag over me. I had no cold at all and would have survived. The sleeping bag was big and roomy. It was draped over me so that it was not touching my body, but if I pulled the bag around my body as you would wrap yourself in a towel, it was warm. If you put this on yourself and coat it, you would be fine. I was warmer with the sleep bag draped over me than I was when I was outside in the cold with a coat. I think the bag is great, and having tested out the bag the way I did, proved to me that it really does work, and a person could survive such extreme conditions using the survival bag with just simply wearing their clothes and no coat hat or gloves. This is a must have for survival.
👤I didn't want to leave a review in either direction as I haven't been able to open it yet. I don't like to leave unfair or biased reviews so I'm keeping my review at a 5 star. I will adjust the stars once I am able to use it. The product is a great addition to the bag or survival kit and should stay 5 stars. I've been adding survival gear to a storage container for a few years. I add gear that could be useful when I find it. It's not possible for me to feel the pains of spending all at once and before you know it you have a good stock of gear, goods, and supplies.
It's a must have for first aid kits. It can be used as a ground tarp, shelter, tent or emergency blanket. It's a good idea to keep one in the trunk of your car. All weather blanket. The Mylar reflective side of the blanket can be used to reflect heat, create a barrier, or signal for help. The other side is made of two layers of polypropylene and can be used as a blanket, tarp or shelter. Light weight: The blanket is in its own carry bag. The blanket is approximately 5 feet by 7 feet. It's a super volcano. You will be surprised by all the used cases you find if you keep it close at hand. There are four TIE-DOWN GROMMETS. The survival blanket can be hung with ease or secured to reflect heat, and create a waterproof shelter. They make improvements to the grommets.
👤The tarp is basically a tarp with a reflective coating. I'm not going with it because it's not properly reinforced, based on the item falling apart after a couple months. See the pictures. I bungeed this to the top of the chicken run to help with rain entering the run area. It lasted a couple months until we had some light winds, and then it fell apart. There were signs of distress in the eyelets where the bungees were going through. I'm not impressed. This tarp is not even a tough tarp. It's flashy and looks nice, but it's not functional and just fell apart on me. If I could, I would give zero stars. Cheap tarps have held up better for me.
👤I bought a pop up camper. I was going to shade the pop outs. The description said they were heavy duty, but I liked that they were water proof. These aren't heavy duty. The blanket ripped on the seam where I was holding it as I barely pulled it across the camper. Within minutes of taking it out of the package, it was ripped.
👤Within the first hour, mine ripped on one of the corners and put it into a shelter configuration. I wrote a lengthy review about my experience with this tarp, but either Arcturus or Amazon flagged it for removal. I am rating this again but with no details.
👤I used this for the first time last night to make a plow point shelter to sleep in. I adjusted the farthest stake point because the center was sagging on me, and after beating down the stake, the opposite grommet ripped the waterproof material from the black fabric at the corners. The structural fabric from the Arcturus material will continue to be ripped. I wish I had bought the equivalent. Dave told us that he tested each shipment by hanging a tarp on one corner and a cinder block on the other. I'm going to see if I can return it.
👤I have made at least 30 small shelters for my outdoor cats and they all prefer the ones with the tarps. They always run to the ones with the tarps when it's cold. Coincidence? I don't think so. My cats are smart. It would be great if they came in bigger sizes. I didn't see anything. I had to take at least one star off because one of the corner grommets ripped just like the one bad review of this product in which the person showed the picture. It happened after some winds. I will use gorilla tape to fix it. It only happened on the one side I used rope on. The ones that were hit directly into the ground are doing well. It's only been a few weeks. I'm still thinking about buying another one. The ones I staked down are worse now. I'm torn. I bought 2 more. I wrapped them around myself and can feel the difference. I will probably not use cord with these since they are the only ones showing wear and tear. The other ones are holding up well. My cats love their shelters. I can put it on a shelter that's not good. I am getting more because I spoil them. :/ I think I might put a tarp over these to keep them from being torn.
The anti-rip fabric has a Pu coating. With a simple but useful design, camping tarp can be used for many things, including tent footprints, shelter rain tarp, groundsheet for camping, picnic mat, beach mat and so on. The tent is made of ripstop fabric with a PU coating which is waterproof and abrasion resistant. Tent tarp protects the bottom of the tent from dirt, water, and sharp objects. The tent footprint is easy to fold and put in a carry bag with small room and weight for convenient store or carry. It's easy to use, just open the carry bag and unfold the tarp. You can put it on the lawn or sand as a picnic mat, lay it on the ground as a tent footprint, or put it over the camping tent as a rain fly. The footprint of the tent is reinforced with a double layer corner strap and heavy duty grommet as a better outdoor gear for camping.
👤It's exactly what I've been looking for, it's very sturdy, light, and seems to be waterproof. There is a lot of room in the sack for stakes. It will be perfect for back country hunting.
👤I ordered this for another purpose. A small run leads my dog to her 9 x 9 pen, where she can sit outside or do her business, because we have a doggie door in Arizona. I wanted that area to have a cover, and didn't want to put a huge tarp, so this tent, flattened works perfectly and looks great.
👤It was bought to be an emergency shelter and a staging area for game bags. Light and packs are better than standard tarps. I'm looking forward to using in the field.
👤I hang my hammock under it. It keeps the water out of my body.
👤I used it as a tent footprint. It is slightly smaller than my tent as a footprint to keep from trapping water. It is light and durable.
👤Look at the specifications. It is a good product. The cinch sack is easy to store in. I have used it on a rocky beach. It's easy to put on a clothes line to dry or be washed.
👤The good size can't tell the durability.
👤Bon rapport toile légre et polyvalente. Les attach semblent solides.
The most popular stunt kite line with 1% stretch at working load, UHPE microMW cords are the least stretch for receiving quick responses from kites and resist deformation under load for longer service life. kite flying at the beach is a result of the property of zero water absorption. The smooth surface of the cord makes it less prone to tangle. The camping tent has a 1500mm waterproof rating. 👤Too small doesn't work for anything.
👤It is not large enough for camping and the rope comes with it. Decided to get a tarp.
👤I'm going to have this installed in my backyard for a couple of weeks to see if it works. It is small and will keep me safe from rain.
👤The tarp works as a cooling sunshade when the weather is warm and sunny. The tent is not the same as the color. It makes my campsite seem cheerful.
👤This is a good tarp. It will keep the rain off of you. The price was fair and it was exactly what I was looking for.
👤It was nice for the price. It was easy to use.
👤The hammock is easy to set up.

There are 6 guy lines, 6 stakes and a carrying bag. It's easy to keep in your backpack. 19 reinforced attachment tie loops, including 3 in the ridge line for overhead hanging, can get all angles covered. Double reinforced stitches can prevent ripping and leaking in extreme conditions. The camping tent tarp is easy to carry and use. If you want to use the tarp as a tent footprint, unfold it and lay it on the ground. After-sale service. The warranty is 90 days from the date of purchase. They will give you a satisfactory solution if you have any questions.
👤The price is the only thing cheap about this tarp. The ridge line seam is factory taped, the materials are quality, the stitching is perfect, and every tie out loop is back reinforced with heavier material. Impressive! It is light enough for shorter trips with the tarp by its self weighing 29.9 ounces, the stuff sack at.8 ounces, and the six quality aluminum Sheppard's hook stakes, guy lines and small stuff sack weighing 6.9 ounces. For a total of 38.6 ounces. The tarp was spelled as a trap on the sack. Recommended!
👤If you want to start tarp camping, this is the one to try. It is 869g. The guy lines are 16g and the stakes are 15g. I've switched to half the weight and 3 times the price, but only after using this one for a long time to know I love the style. The 10x10 is large. It gives you a lot of options, including a roomy setup for severe storms. I've used it in a lot of weather. There are enough guy lines, the stakes are pretty descent, and it's tough. I would take 2 more stakes. You have more options than 6. It's lighter than most tents and hammocks, but it's still heavy for tarp camping. I use a ground cloth with it. I don't have to worry about the floor since I backpack with my dog. In bad storms, we don't get flooded by the water in the bathtub floor tent. I spend a couple days flipping over to get it dry, but my gear is all dry.
👤It gets 5 stars for the price. The tie outs are reinforced very nicely. The material is strong. I have had heavier duty thicker tarps from bushcraft USA, but also for a lot more money. I don't think the thinner material is a problem, just make sure burning embers don't land on it. A raised triangular piece of material is used to reinforce the middle tie outs. They are nice when you tarp under a ridge line. Pull outs can be used in the front and back if you run the tarp over top of a ridge line. There are lots of options, good quality tarp. It comes with stakes and guy lines.
👤I bought this as a footprint for my tent. It works well. The tent has been protected by the thin material. That makes me happy. It can be used as a survival shelter in an A-frame or Lean-to configuration.
👤The tarp has 19 guy loops and I was interested in it. I haven't seen this on these tarps in a while. My tarp is an Aquaquest. Some of my favorite configurations require a square tarp. I bought a coffee colored 10x10 The tarp in its bag is on my scale. That is pretty light. I don't understand the reviews that say it's on the heavy side. The Aquaquest is the same weight. The construction looks good. Double-stitching, re-enforced corners, and guy loops are some of the things that can be done. There were missed stitches on each guy loop re-enforcement. There are holes, but there is no stitching. This is not a big deal to me. It's a tarp. I can easily fix that problem myself, but I don't think it has much effect on the tarp's strength. The center seam appears to have been applied well. The tarp is covered by a double-stitch. The bag has a lot of room for the tarp, stakes and lines. The lines are junk. I use paracord or bankline. The supplied lines would be acceptable for a clothesline in a camp. The aluminum stakes should be functional in soft ground. I don't use them. The coating is 3000mm. If true, this tarp should be able to hold up to rain. I pitched this tarp in a plow-point configuration in the rain last week. The rain ran down and off the tarp as I watched my dog and I stay dry inside. There was no leaking at the center seam. Time will tell how well this tarp holds up. If you're new to tarp camping and want to check it out, I think you could go wrong for the price. You can experiment with many configurations with 19 guy loops.
These tarps are used to cover boats, trucks, cars, industrial equipment, outdoor patio furniture, barbecue grills, backyard pool, wood piles, campers and more. They can be used as emergency roof patch material or building material for construction workers. They can be used as a drop cloth. Can be used outdoors for camping, hunting, or a tent fly. The fabric is waterproof Pu 1000mm. It isdurable: The tarp is made from a waterproof fabric. The large is perfect for 2 people. You can put the ground cloth under the tent to provide more protection. There is a patent for a multi-pronged TENT. The outdoor tent footprint is ideal for camping, picnicking, and sporting events. It can be tied to provide a sun or rain canopy. The tent tarp can be packed into a compact size. It comes with a pouch for carrying things. The weight is only 0.8 lbs. REDCAMP offers a full manufacturer warranty for a year. They will give you a full refund or a replacement for any broken piece.
👤The 106 X 82" tarp is a perfect fit for the Coleman Sundome tent, or any 9X7 tent that does not come with a footprint. You can use the same stake for the corners of both the tarp and the tent if you use the same grommets/tabs. It can be squeezed into the tent bag. Don't be alarmed if the tarp doesn't extend out beyond the tent's floor; a tent ground cloth isn't supposed to. Campers make the mistake of using a tarp that's larger than their tent, but doing so just invites pooling of water around their tent. Ask a backpacker about tent footprints. Backpackers are motivated to avoid problems.
👤I used this item at a campsite to test out my gear before embarking on a long adventure. Since my tent is one of the ultralite option tents, I thought it would be best to use a footprint to protect it. I put this footprint down on the straw and the straw fibers passed through it and stabbed my hand. I didn't set my tent up on this thing or setup my air bed because they both would have had pin holes through them and left me with a surprise on a rainy day. I had a cheap blue tarp from homedepot which I laid down and it proved to be waterproof and also prevented the straw fibers from passing through and damaging my tent and my air bed. My point is that the blue tarp from homedepot is cheaper than the tarp that is currently on the market. If you want to save money, you should go to homedepot because once penetrated, it is no longer waterproof.
👤The guys are very smart about their ground sheet. The ground sheet I've tried is the exact dimensions of my tent, but it's made just the tiniest bits smaller in each direction to make it fit without any overhang. The corner loops line up perfectly with a single set of steaks. The material is thin but rugged and can be packed into either a bag or a tent and it doesn't take up any extra space. It's like the guys who made it go camping for the first time.
👤I needed a ground cloth for my tarp camping, and this fit the bill perfectly. I put it out, staked it down, and added my sleep system. The tarp is well made and it is easy to stake down. I would buy it again and recommend it.
👤I was pleasantly surprised to purchase this tarp. When I threw a bucket of water on the tarp, it looked like it was of decent quality. It is important that this shelter is water resistant because I am using it as a tarp shelter. I put my own grommets in the corners of the tarp to make up for the fact that there are only two grommets between the corners. I have yet to try it out in adverse conditions but based on this test run I think it will perform well.
There are four TIE-DOWN GROMMETS. The survival blanket can be hung with ease or secured to reflect heat, and create a waterproof shelter. They make improvements to the grommets. 👤I used this one time while camping last week and it did a good job of keeping me warm when my sleeping bag wasn't enough, but what's up with the reflective silver inside peeling off? I'm not sure if I got a bad bag or not. I can see it now. Not impressed to be honest. I thought it would hold up for a while. I took a photo and attached it to my review so that you can see what I am saying. The seller didn't respond to my email or respond to my complaint so I am going from 2 stars to 1 and wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. The trash bag has become trash itself.
👤This item is marketed as an "emergency survival gear" and the ratings are quite surprising. I took it with me on the ice fishing trip. I let my son use my canvas bivi while we slept. I ordered some camping gear and saw this item and decided to try it out. It's not a bivy. It's a very large blanket. The item's use as a bivy proved disastrous as my sleeping bag ripped through it. I wouldn't bet my life on a picture of it being used to make a tent. It serves a purpose in an emergency if it's $20 Mylar. I'm giving this item one star because I would never use it as a bivy again.
👤I used this for the first time on a kayaking trip with my brother, and we slept in hammocks. It was pouring rain and we were only laying on them, but the bag worked better after we got cold, so we got inside. I was big for my size. I would recommend this bag for a number of reasons, one being that it is small and compact and takes up very little space, two it works at keeping you warm and repels water, and third it's pretty durable and held up great. I can get another 20 plus uses out of it and 4 for the price, it's a great deal.
👤The product is very small, but it can fit around me with additional room. I am six foot two inches tall and weigh about 300 pounds. I was worried that it would not be easy to put back into the bag. I put it back into the bag and didn't have a problem. We bought 4 so we could have one for each of us. I bought it and I don't regret it.
👤The purchase of my bug out bag is the worst so far. It ripped as it was being taken out of its bag. The bag is more durable than the bivy. The product was disappointing.
👤I bought the Live Bivy emergency sleeping bag as a back up because I wouldn't need it during my trip. The temperature at night was not keeping me warm and my sleeping bag was not keeping me warm. I pulled the Life Bivy out of its package and put it on top of my sleeping bag. I felt warm immediately. It was nice to be able to sleep. Don't buy a sleeping bag that promises to work at low temperatures.
