Brand: Survivor Filter

👤I will change this review if the world ends and it doesn't work.

👤After reading many great reviews, I ordered two of the Survivor Filter PRO. The results using this product were disappointing. I bought two filters for my son and I to use during our Boy Scout backpacking trip in a remote area where the only water source was an old hand water pumping station that provided non-potable water for livestock. I thought it was a great opportunity to use a filter. Several gallons of non-potable water was pumped into buckets. It was from there that the water wasFILTERED to be used for several bottles and bladders. The water had a strong metallic taste but it was clear in color. The water color in every container had turned a light brown by the next morning, and the metal had turned to rust. There is a side-by-side picture of water with and without this product on the left and the original purchased water on the right. The worst part was not having any water and having to drink water from a container while hiking back to our vehicles. I tried to drink as little as possible, but being exposed to the sun in a semi-desert climate during a Santa Ana wind event sets in quickly. I kept a bottle of this water for a week to let the rust settle. I don't know what scares me more, seeing what it can't filter out or not being able to see what else it can't. The rusty film staining the bladder and the metallic taste of the water we filled it with were not removed by cleaning it out. Both had to be replaced. The product is labeled as "viruses and heavy metal tested 0.01 Micron water filter for camping, hiking and emergency." I guess my experience falls under the caveat in the ad, "Reduce most heavy metals, taste and chemicals." I think the metal in my water was not one of those heavy metals. It can be removed. The filter is light weight, compact, and traveled well in my backpack. The components seem well-made and operating the filter was simple. It took less than a minute to fill a 3 liter bladder. It doesn't matter if it doesn't work. I am returning both water filters for a full refund and I am trying to get reimbursement for the cost of replacing our bladders. I will update this review with the results of my work.

👤This was worth the purchase if this malfunctioned soon. Thank you, anyone complaining just return it for another one. I believe the product will last a long time. Unless you handle it, the pump won't act up. I was able to remove 1 gallon in less than 10 minutes. That would be ridiculous. My knees were killing me, I was balancing on a tree. I have only used it a few times, but it was worth it. I tried it out in a neighborhood fountain in Arizona. The water was bad. Garbage was floating around due to the storm, and the water was green. The second one was in the woods in a pond with animals. It was a body of water. Hey, its Arizona. Creeks and rivers don't last very long. The water tasted great. I didn't need the liquid enhancer. Something you'd need for havasupai water or arrowhead. Thanks for buying this filter, it is still worth it.

2. Datrex Emergency Water Packet Supply

Datrex Emergency Water Packet Supply

The product is a mess kit. The water is lightweight and extremely compact. Individual sachets are ideal for storage. The US Coast Guard, Canadian Coast Guard, EC and NZ have approval.

Brand: Datrex

👤The water MFG date was 2/18. This lot is sold with less than 5 years of shelf life. Be careful!

👤The water packets have a shelf life of 5 years. The product I receive from this seller is a year and a half old. I recommend buying directly from the manufacturer.

👤I keep my emergency packs in my cars. It's a good idea to be careful how you open the box. I cut one open when I opened the box. There was nothing they could do to protect them.

👤Nice seller. I didn't know that each pouch has a fill date and an expired date. I read the fill date and thought I'd been sent water that wasn't up to date. My mistake! The date for the end of the world was several years away. I kept several of these in my emergency kits.

👤I bought this for my car for emergency hopping and so far it is doing great. It is still holding up after being frozen and thawd ten or more times. Will buy it again.

👤When I opened the box, there were 2 empty ones. I don't know if they were packed empty or broke along the way, but it's disappointing that I didn't get the full product I paid for. These will only be used for emergencies so hopefully the 2 empty packets don't reflect the quality of the product or the 5 year shelf life that's advertised.

👤Water is the most important thing to have on hand. I live in a rural area. Even if I get stuck in traffic, I keep this in my car because I want it there.

👤I received my package today. All the pouches are fresh and have a full 5-year lifespan.

3. Stanley Adventure Camp Stainless Steel

Stanley Adventure Camp Stainless Steel

There areDEAL outdoor accessories. The Stanley cook kit is a great gift for anyone who likes to cook outside. TheTILE HANDLE: The locking handle folds over the lid to save space and it was designed to provide maximum comfort and stability while it's on the stove. There are two types of durable and BPA-free. The entire kit is made with no harmful materials and features two insulated portable 10oz/ 295mL cups to enjoy hot and cold beverages. The design is light. The mess kit with cups is only 7oz and it is travel and backpack friendly. The marks on the kettle went up to 20oz.

Brand: Stanley

👤The Stanley Adventure Camp Cook Set is a staple in the camping/backpacking world and is overlooked by the ultra lighters out there. I believe that you have two safe choices of metal in camping cookware: titanium orstainless steel. There is a chance that there is a link between Alzheimer's and the use of anodized aluminum. It is inexpensive but heavy. Titanium is light and expensive. The Stanley is great for me, as I don't mind the weight. I put my stove, fuel, cleaning towel, and eating utensil in the plastic cups that come with it, instead of tossing them in the trash. I use a GSI cup with the Stanley. The lid for the Stanley is perfect for the GSI Cup. The attention to detail on the Stanley is amazing, considering pots that are more expensive don't usually have the perks that the Stanley does. The plastic flip-up finger handle stays up perfectly on its own. The lid has drain holes. There are not marked on the inside of the measurement. The marks are stamped so you can still see them from the inside. No big deal. When the handle is locked into its folded position, it acts as a firm/reliable closing. The Stanley is a great product at a great price. I would recommend it to anyone.

👤The little cook pot is a happy find for me. I like that it's not aluminum. The graduations stamped on the side are very useful. I don't keep the two plastic cups in the pot as they take up a lot of room that I choose to use for other things. When the handle is closed, it provides a positive holding mechanism for the lid. The pot is folded into a cup. I put the paper coffee filters between the pot and cup to cut down on rattling. The paper filters can be used as a pre-filter for a water purification kit.

👤You need a way to boil water and cook food if you like hiking and backpacking. The Stanley Adventure Camp Cook Set is for camping. This is one of the best cook sets out there. It is made of 18/8 steel which won't rust on you and is easy to clean with a scrub pad or sand from a creek or lake shore. There are holes in the lid that allow you to easily drain water if you need to. All for about $13,000. The value is great.

👤I use a fuel canister with this for my cook system. The stove is inside the mugs. I backpack in the Midwest and the West, and haven't found anything I don't like. Stores are easy to clean. I've cooked next to people with systems that cost 10x as much and we'll eat at the same time, and will share the trail again in the morning, and this is definitely not worth 10x less than what they paid! I don't remember weight off hand, but it's an extremely good value for a recreational outdoorsman. It's a good, low-risk kit. I've used it for car camping for oatmeal and coffee. The picture is from open fire cooking. The picture is from a 5-star destination. Take care!

Dehydration can be caused by alcohol consumption, workout, travel, heat exhaustion, and feeling under the weather. The 8 flavors of DripDrop ORS taste great and offer dehydration relief fast.

Brand: Dripdrop

👤This product was very disappointing. I drank it within 30 minutes after I got them. There is an allergy to this product. So... I am allergic to sucralose, so I read the package and found it. I combed the product description page again and again, but there was no mention of sucralose as an ingredient. I wouldn't have bought this product if it had been listed. I need a good electrolyte replacement for my diabetes, but this one is not good. Why are they not willing to list all the ingredients? Could it be that they know? Do you not want to purchase their product if you know that sucralose is toxic?

👤I was hoping that this would be an alternative to drinking water. It is difficult to keep hydrated while working in an operating room. After a few days of use, my blood pressure rocketed. After my system was flushed and I stopped using this product, the high blood pressure stopped. I am very disappointed that I can't use this. Sharing to help others be cautious. The product is well packaged and affordable, and the flavors are subtle and make drinking water more enjoyable. I am sad I can't continue with it.

👤Have you ever taken adderall and not needed a prescription? Have you ever done a rail of booger sugar in your twenties? If you drink a packet or two of this and you get the same result, I can paint and clean my house in an hour. If you don't, now is the time to experience this type of energy. It is 10/10 recommend.

👤These work well. I was told to use pedialyte. These were found instead. A liquid bottle is where pedalyte comes from. I don't like the taste. I have kept them in my house ever since. The year off was the same as chemo. If you have the flu, hiking in the hot weather is a great option. When my daughter was in college, she said they were wonderful for a bad night's sleep. 2 packs in 16 ounces of water is what I use most. If you have a throbbing head from dehydration, these can help. The World Health Organization created this product. I am not sure if that is still true.

👤The packets mix well in a bottle of water, making it easy to rehydrate quickly. It does not contain caffine and tastes great when cold, so you can sip it throughout the day. Lemon is my favorite flavor, but the watermelon and berry are equally good. I drink 1-2 drinks a day along with unflavored water to keep hydrated while I run 4-5 times a week and strength training on my no running days. I prefer the small 8oznpackets of Liquid IV and the ability toHydrate quickly to the point that I've purchased both of them. I gave a few packets to my coworkers who don't workout but don't drink enough water or feel fatigued by lunch time, and they have purchased some, and they are believers. Don't waste your time by searching, just add it to your monthly shipment. You will not be sorry.

It is designed to sustain life until rescue or additional food is available. It is designed to sustain life until rescue or additional food is available.

Brand: Sos Food Labs, Inc.

👤A lot of people think these are not healthy. These are survival bars. They have a high calories to weight ratio and are shelf stable. I like the packaging, it's very air/water tight, and they taste good, I'd be happy to have something sweet in a survival situation. Health food can be found elsewhere.

👤These are not healthy. These are bars for survival. If lost on a hike, patriot sells them in bulk for 100 bucks for 30 days. The lemon taste of the other bars made me buy these. We didn't buy for taste, but to survive. My show ends on 3/25. The seal was fresh and strong. See my picture.

👤The coconut and cinnamon sos bars are small, but they have a good taste. I'm doing a challenge to eat sos bars. I would give it a try for an emergency situation, you never know when you might be in a tight spot.

👤There are 31 grams of sugar. Palm oil, Corn starch, wheat flour... I was looking for a bar with a lot of calories. These have toxic ingredients. Had to throw them out. It's SIGH!

👤I would never have bought these bars if I had known the high sugar content.

👤I opened one of the packages and it was great. The ration bars inside each pouch are sealed individually and kept fresh for days after opening the outer cover. It was weeks, actually. I put them in a container. I only used four bars over the last two weeks. That's using some for at least 4 breakfast smoothies and a couple of small snacks. A quarter of a bar makes a great snack, and I've added that same amount, all crumbled, to smoothies with fruit, yogurt, icewater, instant coffee, and it's great stuff! A quarter-bar is only about 62.5 calories, so it was a good time to get some first aid classes. I'm back in Coastal VA and I want to be prepared for the local disasters. I ordered the S.O.S. Rations double pack. Yes, COCONUT. The packages arrived quickly. It's all I can do. Oh, yeah, with it. I'm going to order more as soon as I finish this review. Great stuff, whether you want it for dessert or an emergency. I'm going to open a bottle of chianti and watch C-span.

👤Why are there so many people complaining about the taste and sugar content? These bars are used if you get lost in the forest. These are not for camping, diet or challenge. If you are worried about taste and sugar, you won't survive. It is plain and simple. If it gets so bad that you have to eat these, you will have what you find and eat, regardless of sugar content or taste. These are good for preppers. I thought I was prepared for Hurricane Katrina. I had a freezer full of frozen meats and food, a garage full of bottled water, and light canned goods. My home flooded into my second story. The freezer full of food became fish food because the generator no longer worked. If you keep food in multiple locations, it won't save you if it's under water.

7. Coghlans 9957 Folding Stove

Coghlans 9957 Folding Stove

A design that is both rustic and innovative. A camping stove with coated steel construction is strong enough to hold a heavy pot. Any type of canned fuel or solidified alcohol can be used for heat. The front door and sides are tall. essential gear for camping, backpacking, emergency preparedness, and more

Brand: Coghlan's

👤Be careful with what you buy. As it burns hot enough to boil water, the only fuel that can be gotten from the Sterno is "Cooking Fuel". "Canned Heat" pot warmers burn at only 185 degrees and will never boil water.

👤I use this for camping in my van or tent. It was tested at home. It only took me 30 seconds to set it up. I put the pot on top of the sterno can and it was very sturdy. No worries about the pot falling off. It's perfect for when I only need one burner and don't want to break out the big Coleman propane stove. I got a heat diffuser for use on top so I can double the usage of this stove as a back up tent heater, and it worked very well for that purpose as well. I used the heating cover from AdvancedShop here on Amazon to see which one I used. It was fast shipping on it. I've provided pictures of a medium saucepan and a heat diffuser.

👤This is what you think it is. I use twigs, pinecones, and Sterno. All worked well in this stove. The little door does not always stay shut. It can affect the flame inside. You can fix it with a screwdriver or something in front of it. It was easy to clean and works well. Tin foil on the shelf is the best way to hold burning materials. To keep it clean. The stove is a little heavy. If you are car camping, it is still very portable. It might be an issue for backpacking. It does what it says it will do and for a very good price.

👤I bought this for my kit. It is sturdy and can be used many different ways. You could use things other than sterno. I used my stove as a proof of concept. If one needed sticks, they could use them in it. This is the most important part. Coffee. I can't exist without coffee. That is not true. I can exist without coffee, but anyone who has to be around me doesn't want to. I have to have coffee. This is a problem when my house is all electric. I own a Coleman propane stove, a propane single burner unit, and a propane grill. One can burn up a lot of propane in an extended outage, but those stupid little canisters are not cheap. I could use a larger propane tank, but it's inconvenient and the propane is not cheap. Since I don't have a fireplace, I decided to use an alcohol stove. I bought a stove kit after that. I like that thing. There is a problem. Yes. The coffee. I can't just throw a percolator on the kit. I have to either use a backpacking stove, make French Press coffee by boiling water in my JetBoil, or I need something that will support my percolator. This is the kind of thing that engineers think about when the power is out for a long time. The Coghlan's Folding Stove can be entered. I can put my percolator on top of my alcohol burner. It's dah! Coffee. I can use sticks if the mountain blows up or we have the Big One, but only if the mineral spirits, Heet, and any other burnable fuels are gone. During Armageddon, I can have coffee. If I had to, I could cook food with this. It is a fun little stove, so it is great for camping, road trips, and emergency kit. I think I will buy a second one so that I can leave it in my car. Have you ever watched Survivorman? The quality of this stove sold me on it after I read reviews and looked at it in stores. I'm very happy with it. It's a great addition to my kit and is very useful. I am glad I bought it.

8. BioAstin Hawaiian Astaxanthin Naturally Antioxidant

BioAstin Hawaiian Astaxanthin Naturally Antioxidant

Brand: Nutrex Hawaii

👤I'm 64 years old. I love to work out, but have been finding that some of the pains were starting to rear their ugly head. I was starting to hurt my wrists with a small amount of swelling. I was trying to make up for it by wearing wristbands. About 3 weeks after starting with one of these a day, I was not getting a real good muscle pump. I feel better. I have tried a lot of things, but nothing helped. I can only assume that this stuff is doing its job. It's worth giving it a try.

👤I am a woman. I have no need for surgery yet. I was told that I have a disease that will eventually spread to both eyes. I am trying to get rid of my eyes by using coconut oil and castor oil in my eyes. Coconut oil is great for dry eyes. I thought I'd put that in there. The oil doesn't melt. I use both at night as the castor oil will cause vision to become cloudy if I watch TV. I like the fact that this supplement protects the brain from blue light by using astaxanthin, instead of zeaxanthin. I'm a gardener, so I'm scared to death to be out in the sun, especially since I forget to put my sunglasses on. One male reviewer who developed gynomastia stated that the supplement affects hormones. I can attest that this has some beneficial and not-so-beneficial hormonal effects. Younger women may not experience these. My libido and 'ability' increased, which was great! The not great? I only use this occasionally because my hair started falling on in clumps. I have to choose between my hair and eye site. As a woman, it sounds crazy, but my hair is doing well. I try to find vegetarian or vegan supplements whenever possible. I am going broke, but these are the ones I am taking, and I believe my vision has improved, and nighttime glare isn't as bad. I can't say which one is helping. This is what I'm taking, it's called the Polar Power Sockeye Salmon Oil. I plan to drink this. It's just kidding. I will be taking at least 2 cups a day. I am taking 1 small amount. It doesn't taste bad. Nature's Lab CoQ10 + Alpha Lipoic Acid + Acetyl L-Carnitine HCl helps me sleep. I'm also looking into Cod Liver Oil and Benfotiamine, both of which have more mercury in them than the sockeye salmon oil. If you have the disease, you can research all of these on the internet. I'm considering zinc and copper, but there are conflicting messages on the internet as to whether or not they will help or harm the eye. Many vitamins are synthetic, so this is disappointing. I've been eating a lot of yellow fin tuna. The best source is salmon. I'm not sure if dissolving my cataracts on my own will speed up the progression of my eye disease just as surgery would, because I've read that cataracts are protective against UV rays. I hope this review helps someone.

9. Supplement MaryRuths Organic Hormone Promotes

Supplement MaryRuths Organic Hormone Promotes

Iodine is an essential part of a diet because it is not naturally produced. Those on a vegan or vegetarian diet are more likely to suffer from iodine deficiency. It's important during pregnancy when the body needs more iodine to support the fetus. Iodine deficiency can lead to feeling fatigued and weak, dry and brittle hair, skin, and nails, and weight gain. Iodine plays an important role in metabolism, stimulating the immune system and moderating the central nervous system, which is why it is important for the health of the thyroid. Support your body with essential micronutrients. The vegan formula is 250 mcg Iodine. Purified Water and Organic Vegetable Glycerin are other ingredients. The recommended daily value for adults is less than the suggested serving of their Iodine Liquid Drops. Diet affects an individual's iodine needs. If you want to take supplemental iodine, you need to consult with a healthcare professional. Liquid Drops are easy to take. Before use, shake well. Adults take 1-2 drops a day. Add to water or juice. 👤In a couple ounces of water, just 2-4 drops a day. Take it down. I can feel the iodine working in my body. I know it's working because I get inflammation in my hands and feet from the iodine, but it's how I know it's working. As I go along, the inflammation is getting less and less. It was tasteless. The quality is high. A blessing. You can get the results you are looking for with this along with Monolaurin, Anise Star drops, Lobelia, and Methylcobalamin B12 Zinc Sulfate drops, eating fruits and vegetables, and laying off eggs and chicken. The meat is in small quantities. You should watch what you eat. I'm 65 years old. Have lost 16 lbs. Now, 6 feet tall, 188 lbs. It feels pretty darn good. After 10 years of absolute misery, I am very thankful. The Anthony William's books are worth a read. You will be happy you did.

👤There is a warning! Please be careful! You can cause more charm if you use Irinote if you have a problem with the thyroid. I have a Hashimoto and my blood results are all normal except for the one that says TGAB. If you have the same type of auto immune disease, it will harm your thyroid. Initially taking the supplement the person has more energy, but then they feel worse. People with Hashimoto's can have an attack on the thyroid gland if they are given iodine. When the thyroid is inflamed, the processing of iodine will likely cause more inflammation. You will likely see that the organ becomes even more angry when you give it more work to do. A person may feel more energetic when they start taking a supplement, but lab tests will show that their new energy is coming from the destruction of their thyroid tissue, and reports will show elevated TSH, elevated thyroid antibodies, and in some cases, low. I don't generally recommend supplements for people with Hashimoto's. I don't believe that the short-term artificial boost in energy is worth destroying your thyroid gland. Do your research!

👤I think I have a condition called hypothalmia. I have a lot of symptoms, including weight gain, brittle hair, dry skin, fatigued, and swollen glands. Mary Ruth's drops are a blessing to me. 6 days ago, I started taking them. I felt great after taking the 2 drops. Really? I haven't felt this way in a long time. I didn't feel fatigued like I always do. I have the energy to work out again. I have noticed in the last 6 days that my thyroid is not as thick as it used to be. I think it has gone down in size. I have lost some weight. I am amazed at how I feel. The energy is not like an energy drink. It is subtle. It lasts 24 hours. I wake up feeling good. I take the drops in the morning and know within 30 minutes I will have the energy I have been looking for. I have 6 children. I have the strength to keep up with them. I am not as angry as I was before the drops. I teach the children. I am with them 24/7. They have noticed a change in me as well. This is in 6 days. Mary Ruth's drops have been recommended by me. I feel like I have my life back. No joke! I am very thankful for this product.

Brand: The Survival Tabs

👤How many tabs do you have? More like 180 and won't answer my messages.

👤I received one of the containers. For one container, it's $150. Hope you correct the mistake.

👤The description says there are 4 bottles. I received 3 bottles and 540 tabs. I was going to buy more if I liked these, because it's a simple way to prepare for emergencies and it has a long shelf life, but I was shorted an entire bottle.

👤This will be a great back up for any emergency. Natural disasters, stranded somewhere, or anything else can happen in this day and age. I laughed at a reviewer who was complaining about the daily calories. Something is better than nothing in an emergency. It's not a gourmet meal, but it's a great back-up for either nothing or filling in on limited food choices you may have in your pantry, as well as being a great way to meet your daily calories intake. In an emergency, you will have to use what you have on hand, and this is just another reassurance you can have somewhere in your home, or even take while camping for weeks on end in the middle of no where! This is a great addition to anyone who cares about preparing for an emergency, or just doesn't want to be taken by surprise in the event of an emergency. The Red Cross believes in a few days of preparation. Does it matter how it tastes if you are desperate?

👤Not bad. I tried a few. I can't say the flavor is exactly as described, but I can see how they'll help you feel like you've eaten something, even if you don't have vitamins or minerals.

👤I bought these for a worst case scenario to have the key minerals and ingredients. For 15 days, each container has 100 percent of your key nutrients. It's definitely expensive but it's cheaper than freeze dried food as I have quite a few of these and ramen for pure empty calories. I think they taste really good. It's a key component to any survivalist.

👤If this keeps 25 years, I think you'd need more than that to survive, but it works for me. They tasted really good when I tried them. You would need about 3 times the ration per day. They don't take a lot of space. I'll buy a few.

👤I only received a 30 day supply of survival tabs after ordering a 60 day supply. I paid 158 dollars for a 60 day supply.

👤Good product. It took a long time to get here. Canada customs is to blame for that.

👤We have had bad windstorms and were looking for something that could be used indoors. Convenience for cooking or heating in camp, home, or in emergencies are safe and harmless for cooking or heating with canned heat. I received the canned heat and it has a warning on it. Skin irritation is caused by Vapor harmful to skin. Flammable. Vapors will ignite. Don't use this product if you can't breathe as much as possible. There is a Which is it? "Odorless and non-toxic fumes are safe and harmless", or "The vapors are harmful and you shouldn't breath them, or" I don't think I'll be comfortable using this in a confined space, so I'll most likely return it and get a propane stove instead.

👤Coffee, tea and soup were not heat during the Texas freeze. Adding a can of hot beans would have been great. These were bought with a camp stove. These were given a low rating. They leaked in transit, although they haven't used. I didn't open the box immediately since we were 800-273-3217 It was definitely not wrapped in plastic, but not sure if caps were sealed properly. What a mess.

👤The cans arrived on time, but the carboard/paper container they were in was damp. I thought it was because of the water in the air, but it wasn't until I had it in a heated house for a week that it dried out. There was a small piece of material coming out of the sealed portion of the can and over the top of the lid which the cap screwed on to, and I noticed that at least one can was wicking fluid out of the cap and onto the tip of the can. This allowed the fluid to move through the top of the can and down the treaded can to the paper container. A bit dangerous if the fluid caught fire. If Camp Heat paper container looks wet, this could be the problem.

👤All they have to do is give them a small amount of money. This doesn't affect everything in the box. Half of it has now been done. The product is wasted. Don't care? You should.

👤I used twice. The water is boiled in about 5 minutes. I have burned for an hour so far. I don't know how long they will last. It works perfectly in my stove.

👤I bought two of these 2-packs and a small Coghlan's folding camp stove for my Hurricane Preparedness Kit. I've not used either of them yet, but I'm sure I'll be happy to get it once I finish eating my tenth package of cheese-and-peanut-butter crackers. There's nothing like a hot meal to distract you from the ongoing disaster. It is worth the money.
