1. Survivor Filter Squeeze Water Canteen

Survivor Filter Squeeze Water Canteen

Log 5 removal was tested at multiple USA labs to show that it removed 99% of Protozoa. Log 5 removal was 99% of tested VIRUS. The only straw with Legitimate USA testing to back up their claims is the Survivor Filter. The only thing that can be taken is the filter. The apartment was cleaned and replaced. Brand: Survivor Filter

👤I tested this around the house and wanted to make a suggestion about how to fill the bladders under running water and in standing water since the bag doesn't expand on it's own. I've seen comments about how difficult it is and how bad it is. The video shows a way to fill a bladder by dipping the corner of a typical plastic bag into water and then using that to fill a bladder. I might update this as far as how this actually works in the wild after testing more thoroughly.

👤I was very cautious about using the survivor water filter system. I tried it out on our primitive camping trip and brought it along for emergencies. The water is heavy and light. The two collapsible canteens were handy, and the colored carabiners were a nice touch to keep the dirty water container separate. It wasn't necessary to lay on the ground to suck up the water from the straw. It takes a bit to get the water into the other canteen. This would be the case of any filter system. It took a bit of work to get the water to fill the canteen. The trick was to blow into the canteen first, hold it under water and squeeze the air out of it. It would be difficult to clean and dry out other systems as well.

👤I took a backpacking trip and it worked out great. The water tasted great. It's a pro tip if it gets stuck outdoors. Remove the bottom and change the cotton filter. Then blow through the straw to get some air or water. You can blow through the straw from the middle part. We got some dirt in the bottle that completely blocked it, so we did what I said and were able to open it. If you get dirt in your bottle, it will cause a problem.

👤I really wanted to like this filter. The bug out bag needed a perfect filter. I was very disappointed. I was excited about this but the second time I used it, it crazed the plastic and started leaking, I was a gadget enthusiast. I thought I had threaded it. I didn't look but I did. I tightened it too much. I thought I was doing something with it. It was too much for me. I want a product that is less prone to breaking and more durable for a serious survival or bug out bag. I got another Grayl water bottle filter instead of returning this one. The product is better overall. The survivor filter had a chemical taste to it. I can't stand water that tastes like that and this is supposed to make it taste better. It was worse than straight tap water, so it seemed like it was adding to the chemical taste. I tried running several bags of water through it, but it didn't help the taste. I really wanted this product to work. It has a great concept, but it doesn't live up to its name. If they come out with a better version that filters the water without making it taste bad, I will be happy. Grayl and Sawer will be my water filters until then.

2. Katadyn Personal Backpacking Emergency Preparedness

Katadyn Personal Backpacking Emergency Preparedness

Their water purification system works without electricity and will turn water into clean and potable water in a matter of minutes. It can deliver water to meet your water needs. Four outdoor enthusiasts and international travelers were the recipients of the pocket water filter. The silver-impregnated ceramic element is effective againstbacteria. The filters produce clear, drinkable water. Round pump handle for easy pumping.

Brand: Katadyn

👤I stored this item after I bought it. Two months ago, I noticed some flaws in the filter. I spoke with a customer service representative. The company replaced the faulty parts for free during this period of Covid 19 (9 years after my initial purchase), and stood behind its products. This says it's all over.

👤I used to go camping in Alabama. There was a creek near where we camped. The filter did a great job. The water was mostly clean to start with but needed to be cleaned before it could be used. I was able to do that by the creek in about 5 minutes. It worked out great. I had about 10 gallons of water to drink. When the pump becomes difficult, field strip the filter and clean it. I suggest keeping a bottle of water in reserve. You don't want to clean the filter with unpurified water.

👤Over the last 35 years, I have owned backpacking water filters. The plastic pump filters by first aid and msr are the ones I like the most. I own a few of the squeeze filters. I don't like or trust them as far as durability goes. The katadyn pocket filter is not the lightest one on the market, it's not smaller than the msr, and it's not the lightest one. The build quality andDurability of the extream is what this filter has going for it. There are no plastic barbs to break off, no plastic parts in any critical area other than the body, and even that part is overbuilt. If I can get half of the 13000 gallon ceramic filter life, I will be happy. I don't see any inherent issues with this filter. The filter needs to be protected from freezing in cold weather. Any ceramic filter will have an issue with freezing. You will not be putting this filter in your jacket or pants pocket. You can't pocket carry the first aid or msr filters. If you have a problem with viruses, you will need to treat the water or boil over a flame. The charcoal katadyn add on filter reduces the off taste of river water. It's a nice addition to the filter that it fits into the standard carry pouch. I feel confident that the filter will last a lifetime because it is critical to my outdoor activities.

👤Do you want to have a little more perspective while hiking the back woods? Do you know that in an emergency, you can provide water for yourself and your family, or for someone else who may be in a crisis? Is it possible for longevity of use to be mentioned? What about weight? Do you want something lightweight for your camping gear? Right, pounds equals pain! What about quality? Would you like a lifetime warranty on that product? Thank you again, Katadyn, for this little number. The Pocket has a 5 star rating across the board. When it comes to field filters, this thing is a beast. Is this thing expensive? You don't want to mess around when it comes to the second most important thing you, your children, or your pets need. My opinion. Before you use it in the field, make sure you understand the use, cleaning and packing procedures.

Brand: Essential Value

👤It seems like debris got in there right away after it was tried. I spent the rest of the night trying to get rid of it. After rinsing it out, I tried it with clean water the next day and it had a metallic taste. I will try it again.

👤So far, so good. Product arrived as promised but will have to be updated.

👤It's a good thing to have this in case of an emergency.

👤The product came quickly and was important in the chaos of the day. I know they are ready if I need them. I can use these for camping in the future.

👤Works well. It was used many times and would buy more.

👤No complaints yet, it works fine.

4. LifeStraw Multi Function Filtration Emergency Preparedness

LifeStraw Multi Function Filtration Emergency Preparedness

Widespread use with guarantee. The survival tactical shovel is a very special gift for men and women. A survival shovel kit is a must have for every vehicle. If you have any questions about their products, please contact them through Amazon, they will be happy to help you out within 24 hours. The LifeStraw Personal filter can be used as a straw filter or inline with a soft touch water bottle. Attaches easily to hydration pack bladders and gravity filters, or just screw it onto a disposable water bottle. The Advanced hollow fiber membrane removes 99% of waterbornebacteria and 99% of waterborne protozoan parasites, which exceeds the EPA drinking water standards. Carbon capsule reduces chlorine, lead and other heavy metals, bad taste and odor, as well as organic chemical matter like pesticides, herbicides, and VOCs. The system includes a Flex water filter, a collapsible soft touch water bottle, and a backwash syringe.

Brand: Lifestraw

👤I received it and have begun experimenting with it. The LifeStraw could be a five-star product by itself. There are two design problems with the FLEX part. The problem is when you squeeze the bottle, the water comes out of the threads on the top of the bottle. If you want to squeeze the dirty water out of your mouth, it is possible to hold the filter top so that the water goes into a cup. Problem 2: Once the water is squeezed past the Lifestraw, you can't squeeze out any more water. You have to open the flexible bottle to get the straw to fit. If you could squeeze out the rest of the water, you wouldn't need to do this because you wouldn't have to taint the top of the straw with your mouth germs. You get 11 ounces of water with dripping. Half of the group traded spit with a shaky flexible bottle and a filter top. It's hard to share water with a traveling companion, which is why I paid an extra price for the LifeStraw with Flex bottle. The flex bottle is just an accessory. I plan to use a liquid to clean the cap and filter top.

👤I have never written a review for an Amazon purchase. I have an account since 2011. I've bought many products that I don't care for, but I haven't written a review. The concept of this is very good. I followed the directions to back flush the filter but was only able to fill my bladder with tap water twice because the white membrane filter was completely restricted. It's fine if you want to blow 35 dollars for emergency and let it go and purchase another one the next time, but don't expect it to last 250 gallons or whatever it says. It's a survival tool solution that will last 2 days. That's all.

👤Not as good as the sawyer mini. The bottle comes with problems. There is a loose fit around the upper threads. You will get dirty water from the area you are drinking from. The flow rate is slower than the sawyer mini. The carbon part of the filter can reduce the taste of plastic by a small amount. If you still want this product, you'll need to ditch the bottle and find something else to drink.

👤Lifestraw does not respond to emails about Customer Service because the bag has a pin hole.

👤I followed all the instructions, but could not get any water to come through it. We only used the sawyer since it wouldn't work.

👤The backpacking filter is really nice. Better tasting water is what you get from a similar filter. It's about as fast as trying to squeeze it through, because I set it up as a gravity system. I'm not using the included bottle as it doesn't make sense in any application that I can think of, but a soft Evernew, sawyer or platypus works great as a "dirty" water container. I hope they start selling the carbon replacement.

Brand: Outbackwater

👤Filters from water sources. Prepping for disasters or for camping.

6. PRO Handheld Portable Electric Survival

PRO Handheld Portable Electric Survival

Round pump handle for easy pumping. The world's first portable electric water filter can produce up to 100, 000 liters of water. It's easy to use and it produces 17 ounces of clean water in 17 minutes. The backwashing syringe system comes with all internal filters, tubing, and a travel bag. A super fast flow rate of 500ml (17oz) per minute is what this weighs. Can be used from a fresh water source, or pumped into a hydration pack. It's a great way to purify large jugs of water for the whole family. All manufacturing and other defects are covered by the lifetime warranty of the Survivor Filter. If you run into any problems with any of their products, simply contact them and they will make it right.

Brand: Survivor Filter

👤I have been waiting for a product like this for 25 years. I would give it 10 stars. The product is quiet and fast. I have never experienced a better portable water filter. Well done! You have a customer. It's really unbelievable. There is an update. The cooler water had a little bit of milk mixed in it, so I used the filter to remove it. I mean less than half a cup in a 30 quart cooler, but the water was clean after the filters were put in. The pump couldn't get any more water out after the intake hose collapsed on me. I'm assuming it's related to the milk. I backflushed the filter with the included needle, and it worked again, but at a reduced flow. After a cup or two of filters, the hose collapsed again. It was flushed again and used on a different source. The milk gummed up the pre filter and it worked again at a reduced flow. It was very strange. This little filter is great. Keep it away from the water.

👤I bought the manual version of the filter for my trip to the wilds of Eastern Colombia. Most of the people in our group bought a lot of bottled water, but I only had a lightweight Survivor filter and a two liter backpack bladder for my water needs. It was an easy walk to the river to fill up my bladder and the water was crystal clear. The water tasted great. The others asked if they could use the water from my filter, and so we all had great tasting water to drink. After returning home to the mountains above Medellin, I started using it again after the tap water started getting cloudy. My girlfriend in South America was amazed when she tried the water from my Survivor Filter and will only drink water that's been through the filter. I bought the Survivor Pro X Electric Filter to keep up with usage. It's the same high quality I was expecting from the Survivor Pro manual filter, but it's much faster. It plugs in with the power and quietly produces the water I'm used to. Highly recommended. This is not a paid review because I bought the systems.

👤Can't believe how amazing this is. My family used this a few days ago for our monthly camping trip and instead of lugging around large jugs of water, all we had to bring was this water filter. We left this by a creek and it was already filled with clean water before we set up camp.

👤They have sent me a new one and a backup, which is great since I experienced a rare failure. The manual Pro arrived in two days and works the same as the battery one. The filters do a great job. The battery Pro X will arrive soon.

👤The Survivor Filter Electric Pro X Water Filtration System is very easy to use and setup. It has two hoses, one for input and one for output, an ON-OFF push button, and the best part is it's electric, so no hand pumping! The electric feature is what convinced us to buy, as well as the option of battery power, the triple-filtration process, the supplier test report with positive results, and the many high reviews from other users. We have a permanent setup on our kitchen counter for the purpose of drinking water. We fill a large clear plastic pitcher with water from our home well system and use a Survivor Filter to remove nitrates from the water and put it into a large 3 gallon water dispenser with spout. Clean water is always available via the large spout. The amount of water in the pitcher takes about 4 minutes to be pumped into the large water dispensers and the dispensers hold about 7 pitchers. We refill the water dispensers at night, which takes less than 15 minutes, and use 2 pitchers of water per day. The pitcher is almost empty, and we bought a battery operated digital timer that would wake us when it was almost empty. We turn off the Survivor Filter Pro and refill the pitcher again until the large water dispensers is full again. Whenever we travel in our RV travel trailer, we always take the Survivor Filter with us. We bought the Survivor Filter hand pump model as a backup in case the electric unit goes out in an emergency situation. We're very happy with this product and recommend it to others.

7. Platypus GravityWorks High Capacity Emergency Preparedness

Platypus GravityWorks High Capacity Emergency Preparedness

We are so confident that you will love your canteens that they will stand behind them with a Lifetime Warranty. The hollow-fiber water filter system is ideal for camping and outdoor adventures. The EPA/NSF guidelines for removal of 99.9999% ofbacteria and 99% ofparasites include giardia. The four liters of water can be delivered in 2.5 minutes by hanging from a tree and filling the reservoir. Includes a storage sack, dirty water reservoir, clean water reservoir, hollow-fiber microfilter, hoses, and shutoff clamps. The replacement filters have a flow rate of 1.75 liters/minute and are made in the USA.

Brand: Platypus

👤It's incredibly handy. I did a lot of research before buying this. The fact that you can get a lot of water in one shot, and the fact that it filters fast, sold me on this. No pumping! This is a no-brainer if you're backpacking. Bringing water on a multi-day trip is not an option because water is too heavy for an adult to drink. This is less than a pound. It can save you money in the long run. If you're buying gallons of water from the store that will cost you $350-$400, the filter lasts for 1500 liters. If you fill from the tap, this will save you space and allow you to use less water. If you need to use water for cooking or fill a Camelbak bladder, you'll need a filter that is capable of filtering more water. The storage bags and tubing are of the highest quality. The hoses are long so you can hang the dirty bag from a branch or just hang the clean bag from a lower branch. You can detach the hose from the clean side of the filter and hang the bag as shown in the picture. Want to get the most out of a single trip to the water source? You can get 8 liters in one shot. Just fill the dirty bag and wait for it to be cleaned. The clean bag should be removed from the hose and the screw cap put on it. You've got 4 liters ready to go and another 4 that can be quickly filters if you put the dirty bag up again. That's 2.1 gallons in one trip. When the dirty bag is almost finished, you can backflush it for about 5 seconds and then discard the water in the dirty bag. Add 2 liters of clean water to the dirty bag, add a couple drops of bleach, and filter it through. You can towel dry the dirty bag, but the clean bag needs to be hung for a few days in a dry place. The filters can be dried out by removing the bumpers and plastic end pieces. If the temperature drops below 32F (0C), the filter will damage it, so it cannot be dropped or used. To test the integrity of the filter, blow air backwards through it. If there are bubbles on the other side, the filter is broken. I am very happy with my purchase of this filter. I hope this review helped you.

👤I have always been a "pump" guy when it came to filters. I bought this one after using it on a trip with friends who had section hiked the whole AT. They didn't bother with the bag. They only had the dirty bag. It makes sense for a small group to only carry the dirty bag. The clean bag makes sense for a group of 6-10. It allowed us to hang up the clean bag so that we could use it for cooking and washing. Why not 5 stars? The clean bag and the dirty bag would be better if the bottom corner was removed. It would be easier to empty the clean bag. - The water flow was stopped by a useful piece of equipment. I would have liked to have one on the clean side and one on the dirty side. When the clean bag is disconnected, that would allow me to shut off the flow from the dirty side. I would rather not have to do it in certain circumstances, like removing the dirty hose from the dirty bag. This is not a purifier. It does not handle viruses. It is fine for most surface water in the US. I would use a secondary chemical treatment if I was worried about viruses.

8. SurviMate Filtration Backpacking Emergency Preparedness

SurviMate Filtration Backpacking Emergency Preparedness

The survival water filter comes with a gravity tubing which allows you to hook up the Squeeze Filter as a gravity filter, and also comes with a syringe to back-flush the filter, which can be done thousands of times.

Brand: Survimate

👤It's great for a small pack for a hike. Always carry a knife, mylar blanket, fire starter, compass, water bottle, loud whistle, power bar, paracord. They would be prepared no matter what situation they found themselves in.

👤The water filter is great. It is easy to pack. A name on the bag wasn't worth $50.00 after finding the same filter at a high dollar store. The spics were the same. We use it when we camp. It was fresh and safe.

👤This is a small setup. It has everything you need, and nothing you don't. It has two water bags to hold the water and the clean water. If you know what you're doing, you could use them to boil water if the filter wears out. You get a couple hoses to connect the water bags and the filter, a couple straps to hand it all from a tree, a small felt bag, and two light duty carabiners. This is a nice setup. It's not like the water straw type filters, but it's a great setup for automatic water purification. It is easy to keep a few people hydrated with clean water. When I converted the numbers, the filter made about 570 gallons of water. It has a small filter element. It's going to make it safe to drink from any water, because it's going to filter out dangerous and nasty stuff. This is perfect for those who hunt, fish, camp, or spend time outdoors being self sufficient. If you have the ability to make water safe, you could save your life. This is a great kit for that. Buy one for everyone in the family. I know I will.

👤The kit has two bags. The idea of being able to set it up and then walk away and let it work is something I like about this version. You can hang it on a tree or fence with the included clips and lanyards. I like the included needle to backflush the filter. Keep it clear. There are a couple things. There is no marking on the bags or tubes that say " dirty" or " clean". If you use a bag or tube that has dirty water in it, you should mark it. The bags don't fit all the way in the black bag provided. The instructions state that you shouldn't use salty water. I wonder if it would work in a desert where you have to filter urine. Some water filters do provide or offer as an accessory, but perhaps an R.O. membrane would work for that.

👤The small cardboard box with a carry storage bag holds the water filter straw. The hoses are flexible. The system can be suspended with straps and carabiners. A hose clip for managing the length of the tubes is included. The directions with pictures on the item's description are thorough enough for use, although when to use the backflushing device is not explained in the paper directions in the box. When the flow rate decreases, I see recommendations to backflush once a week. The bag capacity is 3000 ML and the lifespan is 3000L according to the charts. The water bags have a sturdy feel, and the apparatus they attach to at the top seems designed to support their weight. A larger hand can fit in the water bags to clean them. The total weight of the system and carrying bag is more than 13 ounces. It looks like this is a good safety net for home or on the trail.

9. Katadyn Technology Microfilter Backpacking Preparedness

Katadyn Technology Microfilter Backpacking Preparedness

The pump is 7.5 x 2.75 inches and weighs 1 pound. A simple turn can engage a ceramic pre-filter for long life in dirty water or a glass fiber filter in normal conditions. In the faster flow mode, it can produce up to two quarts per minute. A replaceable Katadyn carbon core and cleanable ceramic disc is used. The base can be used to fill hydration systems or larger containers. A simple turn can engage a ceramic pre-filter for long life in dirty water or a glass fiber filter in normal conditions. In the faster flow mode, it can produce up to two quarts per minute.

Brand: Katadyn

👤When it was brand new, this purifier worked great. The o-rings failed after a few seasons of use. This is not a minor maintenance issue. There are 7 o-rings, but it's not obvious which has given out. The o-rings failed on my last trip, so I replaced them with new ones, which were coated with Silicone grease. The purifier is still leaking. The worst part is to come. When the o-ring seal fails, the unit drips water into your bottle. A few drops of giardia-contaminated water can ruin your trip and put you in the hospital. There is a chance that the connecting rods for the pistons will come loose when you replace the o-rings. It's like solving a level 5 Hanayama 3D puzzle. I don't like Hanayama puzzles when they are part of wilderness equipment. This is a device that you will rely on to keep you alive and healthy in the wilderness and it has very bad design flaws that may put your health at risk. It's time for Katadyn to go back to the drawing board. I don't think you should buy it.

👤I bought this product to be my main system for backpacking. I read the owner's manual and did a 2-liter test pump before taking it out on a multi-day trip up the Bogachiel River on the Olympic Peninsula. The unit did a great job in my apartment. It failed during the filling of the second (2nd!) in the field, despite being light and relatively compact in the pack. It's called Nalgene. I had packed the lubricant and replacement O-rings just in case, but no level of repair was able to resolve the issue: there was simply no water flow. I had downloaded the instructions onto my phone. The fundamental flaws of the design were not helped by the recommended lubricating the O-rings, cleaning the ceramic filter, or replacing the O-rings entirely. Replacing and lubricating the new O-rings got it to leak a bit out the side, but I took it as an improvement. Should I have started repairs after 5 liters? The answer is no. I briefly considered throwing the whole thing in the river, however the environmental impact along with the realization that I would never get my $90 back stayed my hand. I boiled my water for two days. I made it off the trail in good health, had a wonderful spot under three old-growth spruce, and I now sit in front of a generous pour of 17-year Caol Ila unpeated single malt. At Katadyn, apparently confusion reigns.

👤If you get this, take it apart and lubricate the rubber rings and moving parts because it doesn't come pre-lubed. I have had this filter for a long time. I've taken it on several trips. It worked well twice. I have had issues with this pump before. It was difficult to pump because of the build up of backpressure inside the pump. I have to break it down and put it back together. Customer service from Katadyn is great. They sent me a new head section because they thought it was faulty. Same problem. I maintained this after every trip, so it isn't a maintenance issue, and there seems to be an actual flaw. I found others who fixed the pump by removing the ceramic portion, which turned it into a single stage pump. This design doesn't work well for Katadyn, it is high quality. The Katadyn "Hiker" was purchased by me and I couldn't be happier with it. I'm getting rid of the Vario and sticking with the Hiker model.

10. Easiestsuck Portable Emergency Filtration Backpacking

Easiestsuck Portable Emergency Filtration Backpacking

👤Every backpacking season, I replace my filter. I've used filters from Sawyer, LifeStraw andMSR. They are all the same, except for minor appearance differences. This one is the same as the others and a little cheaper. It doesn't have a cap on both ends, that's the only gripe I have with it. There is nothing on the package that tells you if you drop or the filter freezes. Keep that in mind. Stay safe on the trails. Would recommend!

👤The water flowed out of the filter at a fast pace. The water flow was terrible when I owned a Sawyer mini. I couldn't get a steady flow out of it the first time I used it. The filter will remove a lot of water very quickly. I'm very excited to use it.

👤This must be a joke. I do a tea test if it will help my health, at least my water will. Okay. Couldn't do that in a second. The screw cap is off the filter. There's a plastic screen against the side wall. Hopefully I won't run into this trash again if I try lifestraw.

👤My sawyer was larger. The sawyer bags fit it. The tube to make it like a lifestraw was a nice touch, but could be used to attach it to the filter instead of being lost in the pack.

👤My husband is a survival instructor and he had me buy some of these. He preaches about Sawyer Mini Filters, but now he is praising Easiest Suck Filters. They are just as reliable as a Sawyer. Excellent product at an unbeatable price.

👤I bought these for my family. They have the straw extention included and each individually wrapped. The price was better than other life-straws.

👤It works great with the platypus 4.0 gravity filter system when the original one breaks and you would rather have a backup for less than the original price.

👤This is a gift, but so far, it seems like a great purchase. It feels like a quality product and the value was spot on. I will update my review after we use these.

Brand: Waterdrop

👤I tried it out in the creek behind my house and the water tasted really good, even though it was brown in color. There is a clear crystal.

👤The Waterdrop Filter Straw works well on a hike in the mountains. It's annoying that it can't be used as a gravity filter from source container to another. I had to squeeze the water source bottle in order to get the water to flow through. I had to squeeze the collection bottle to remove as much air as possible to get the water to filter through. I had to squeeze and remove air to get more water to pass through. Adding a vent hole to the collection bottle would eliminate the air pressure issue. If you're using bottles like this, it's a good idea to remove the plastic ring after taking the cap off. Water would leak from the supply side if this little ring was not used. The filter straw worked great if attached to a bottle or directly in the stream. It would be nice to have a piece of tubing to stick into the water source, especially when you're wearing a heavy backpack.

👤I was nervous to use this but I did and was pleasantly surprised. I dunked the bag in the pond and hoped for the best. The water tasted great and I didn't get sick. Thumbs up.

👤I'm only considering keeping it for emergency use since it didn't clean my tap water which tests over 500ppm. It tested higher after going through this filter. The spring water tested at 75ppm was accurate. I wouldn't want to rely on stream water as my only water source for long trips, even if it made it drinkable in an emergency.

👤I tried to use the straw in Costa Rica, but could not get any fluid through it. I had a cocktail and got sick. Total failure. I want to know what the problem was with the straw. If it worked, it would have been perfect. I would like you to know the proper use for the future if I didn't use it correctly.

👤The straw is wonderful. My husband and boys went camping last weekend and used the straw with the stream water and it tasted great. Everyone stayed healthy and didn't get sick from drinking out of the stream.

👤I have not used the filter to drink dirty water. I use it to remove micro-plastics from tap or bottled water. This is more than enough to do the job. I don't use the bag if I just screw it on my water bottles because it's not good enough to avoid leaks and spillage.

👤I like the design of the portable filter. One of the things I like to do is hike. The creek water tasted great. It will be great to use it in the mountains.

👤The water filter can be used as a straw or inline filer with a pump. Thankfully bought and brought along as a backup, it got a family of 3 through a canoe trip when our regular filer let us down. It took time and patience, but it worked out in the end. It works better as a straw, to use on a day trip, to get clear water for one person. If you don't expect to filter a lot of water, it's worth the money. It arrived quickly and well.
