Brand: Fire-maple

👤I really liked this product. I went out for a few days and this product was great. I decided to try this out because I had friends that used Jetboil and it was a life saver. Why did the 3 star review go down? I thought saving money would be better than buying the name brand because I view this product more as a luxury. But... This product took longer than a jetboil. I am not sure if it is more efficient or less efficient in terms of gas to the other one, but it took me about 10 minutes to heat up some water, whereas the jetboil that I bought to replace it took only a few minutes. A minute is 30 seconds. . If you are trying to save money and time, I would highly recommend this product. Do not tip the product if you go with it. Try to start it on the ground because it will cause flames to shoot out of the sides. It is not a "first time light" in my experience.

👤The replacement unit arrived quickly and there were no apparent issues with it. Similar to similar systems from other manufacturers, it took 4min to boil 1L water. QC is not up to par. See the picture. I'm exchanging for someone else. If exchange lasts, will update review.

👤Works well! I bring this with me to training for coffee and hot water to shave, because I am in the military. Works with jet boil fuel cannisters.

👤The reviews should be read. Don't buy a jetboil. Solid contruction has its own piezo ignition, and it is very quick to boil water. What is not to like? There is a The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because I missed a piece. No worries, I was shipped by Amazon. If you flip the burner upside down, you can put a 250 can inside. The bag and the lid are not a problem because the rubber lid barely seals.

👤I was hoping for a jetboil without branding. I have had bad luck so far. I didn't plan on using the broken plastic bowl that was shipped with the device. The biggest flaw with the system is that in some cases it will light the neoprene on fire, even if the wind isn't very strong. Not good. I would like my money back if you were reading this. It was used again this weekend. The stove will no longer be lit. Completely useless.

👤This has worked perfectly for 3 backpacking trips and 2 car camping trips so far this year. I've been using a larger canister of fuel that seems to be more fuel efficient than the one I used with a previous stove. I bought a smaller canister which I can fit inside the bowl and a small wash towel. You have to leave the bowl out of the larger canister. The mesh bag takes a little practice to get things in and out but you have enough room to put the larger fuel canister on top of the lid and keep it in the mesh bag. I haven't tried the largest canisters at Wal-mart. I like the rubber on the handles that fold out, but I am not a fan of them. You have to pour the water out of the little hole if you want to take the lid off after the water has boiled. I like the markings on the inside of the pot, but I would like to see the oz markings. The stove works well and can boil water for two people, I usually fill half way to heat water for food packets and my coffee, but can easily boil enough for two people.

2. Coleman Fold Propane Stove 2 Burner

Coleman Fold Propane Stove 2 Burner

There is a 3-year limited warranty. A portable propane stove is ideal for cooking. 20,000 total BTUs of cooking power can be produced by the 2 pans. The heat is consistent in outdoor conditions. It takes over an hour with both burners on high on a 16.4-ounce propane cylinder. The stove has a push of a button.

Brand: Coleman

👤Alright. I agree with the reviews that the cooking grate is too tall. I bought a few things that will make this boil very quickly. I boiled 1.5 L of water in 8 minutes using the grate shown above. The Fire Maple boiled in 6 minutes after being placed over the burner. The windscreen helps a lot. I would use it with either method. The equipment that I purchased is below. My bag to a 20 lbs. The propane tank worked well. The Propane Adapter is for 20 lbs. I have solved the issue of the stove not working with the larger propane tank. The reason was easy to solve and difficult to root cause, which was frustrating for a long time. Coleman provides a problem. The arm that connects the stove to the 1 lbs tank is rigid. The issue is on the tank side. The design doesn't seal against the larger tanks because it doesn't seal against the hose. The solution is to order a generic design. The brass fitting and rubber gasket are slightly different as you can see in the picture. The Coleman has a hose on the brass. This isn't a sealed seal and the pressure regulator on your tank will cut off the flow. The generic one allows it to bottom out on the rubber gasket as it is intended, for some reason. You can use any size propane tank with this stove if you buy this adapter. This stove is my go to stove for all camping applications. I like this thing. Here is a generic version of the one you're looking for.

👤I have had this stove for a long time and I was initially disappointed because there is a lot of distance between the flame and the pan which makes it hard to cook at high heat. I bought 2 sets of Norpro Nonstick 3 Sided Splatter Guards from Amazon to use on a recent trip and the difference was amazing. The splatter guard turns this stove into a high performance set of burners. I had to keep an eye on my food because it was cooked so quickly that I had to keep an eye on it. The splatter guards are flimsy and will need to be supported if there is a wind, but they are a great addition to this unit. It takes forever to cook anything without something to keep the heat in, and with screens it is quick and easy.

👤Works with 1 lbs propane tank but not with 20 lbs. I've tried many different tanks and adapters and they all work with my other grills.

👤This stove was taken when we were camping. The pros are 1. It's easy to set up 2. It worked as expected. 3. When used 4, the base is stable. The lights are easy to use and provide plenty of heat. The Cons are fairly compact. It was more than necessary. 2. Grates to hold pots could use more spokes. Some cookware could tip off easily with the grate design, which was a potential safety concern. 3. It could be a bit lighter. The rest of the rotation is easy to get used to, but could be better designed. 5. This isn't much more compact or lighter than a traditional Coleman two- burner camp stove. The folding mechanism would allow for that, but it ends up thicker, and it has giant handles, so it is not clearly smaller. It is easy to use, friendly, and worked exactly how we expected. There are better options if you are looking for something small.

3. Flame King Outdoor Portable Backyard

Flame King Outdoor Portable Backyard

Manual lighting is needed for this burner. You can cook even better with two 100,000 BTU burners. The three-sided window will protect you from the wind. The legs are on the ground. The design is built to last. The BBQ propane tank has a Regulator and 3 ft. hose included. 1 year manufacturer's warranty

Brand: Flame King

👤It's easy to adjust for a small flame. I can fit my canners on this. I like it. Not rickety. I can keep the heat and humidity out of the house by canning outside.

👤The heat output is excellent. A long reach match or lighter is enough to light up the room. The smell is terrible as the paint on and around the burner is scorched leaving the bare metal exposed to the elements. I might try and find a high-temp paint to cover the metal. The pictures were taken at medium to low heat. Rust is beginning to form after 3 days of use. The surfaces that come in contact with flames will be protected with high temp paint.

👤If it doesn't fit, get a bigger hammer. Forced in at a dangerous angle when dealing with gas. The box doesn't fit the merchandise making the problem worse for both valves that get bent or damaged. Returned.

👤The box is not good and the item in it seems to have been damaged. The quality is good after I changed the product.

👤The portable stove is very easy to assemble. It's a great product. You can cook two pots at the same time. It was adorable.

👤The heat out was easy to use.

👤Second time getting an item. The grill has parts that are rusty and legs that are bent. Can't really assemble product. Will not recommend it.

👤The burner knobs wouldn't adjust the flame.

👤The burners work as they should, but I received a damaged leg.

4. Coghlans 9957 Folding Stove

Coghlans 9957 Folding Stove

A design that is both rustic and innovative. A camping stove with coated steel construction is strong enough to hold a heavy pot. Any type of canned fuel or solidified alcohol can be used for heat. The front door and sides are tall. essential gear for camping, backpacking, emergency preparedness, and more

Brand: Coghlan's

👤Be careful with what you buy. As it burns hot enough to boil water, the only fuel that can be gotten from the Sterno is "Cooking Fuel". "Canned Heat" pot warmers burn at only 185 degrees and will never boil water.

👤I use this for camping in my van or tent. It was tested at home. It only took me 30 seconds to set it up. I put the pot on top of the sterno can and it was very sturdy. No worries about the pot falling off. It's perfect for when I only need one burner and don't want to break out the big Coleman propane stove. I got a heat diffuser for use on top so I can double the usage of this stove as a back up tent heater, and it worked very well for that purpose as well. I used the heating cover from AdvancedShop here on Amazon to see which one I used. It was fast shipping on it. I've provided pictures of a medium saucepan and a heat diffuser.

👤This is what you think it is. I use twigs, pinecones, and Sterno. All worked well in this stove. The little door does not always stay shut. It can affect the flame inside. You can fix it with a screwdriver or something in front of it. It was easy to clean and works well. Tin foil on the shelf is the best way to hold burning materials. To keep it clean. The stove is a little heavy. If you are car camping, it is still very portable. It might be an issue for backpacking. It does what it says it will do and for a very good price.

👤I bought this for my kit. It is sturdy and can be used many different ways. You could use things other than sterno. I used my stove as a proof of concept. If one needed sticks, they could use them in it. This is the most important part. Coffee. I can't exist without coffee. That is not true. I can exist without coffee, but anyone who has to be around me doesn't want to. I have to have coffee. This is a problem when my house is all electric. I own a Coleman propane stove, a propane single burner unit, and a propane grill. One can burn up a lot of propane in an extended outage, but those stupid little canisters are not cheap. I could use a larger propane tank, but it's inconvenient and the propane is not cheap. Since I don't have a fireplace, I decided to use an alcohol stove. I bought a stove kit after that. I like that thing. There is a problem. Yes. The coffee. I can't just throw a percolator on the kit. I have to either use a backpacking stove, make French Press coffee by boiling water in my JetBoil, or I need something that will support my percolator. This is the kind of thing that engineers think about when the power is out for a long time. The Coghlan's Folding Stove can be entered. I can put my percolator on top of my alcohol burner. It's dah! Coffee. I can use sticks if the mountain blows up or we have the Big One, but only if the mineral spirits, Heet, and any other burnable fuels are gone. During Armageddon, I can have coffee. If I had to, I could cook food with this. It is a fun little stove, so it is great for camping, road trips, and emergency kit. I think I will buy a second one so that I can leave it in my car. Have you ever watched Survivorman? The quality of this stove sold me on it after I read reviews and looked at it in stores. I'm very happy with it. It's a great addition to my kit and is very useful. I am glad I bought it.

Brand: Orisconca

👤The stove is easy to use and lightweight.

👤Very nice. It's convenient. Electric heat gives you the chance to cook in a faster and better way.

👤First review. One of the best things I have ever bought.

👤The product is in a flimsy case. It's very thin and doesn't want to be open. The stove uses one fuel canister. The metal is not heavy. I find the stove works well for an occasional picnic or camping trip, but I would be cautious with it for a long term trip. Pot support reverses to make it easier to store.

👤The item is very light weight and the case is flimsy and has a strong plastic smell that has lingered for the past 4 days since I had it. The smell has started to diminish, the cook top is easy to clean, and the butane canister is easy to use. See the photo. It works very well. A high amount of heat is produced.

👤It had a strong smell when you first stepped off the gate. The box that it came in was all over the house. The instructions were written in Chinese. I don't know what kind of gas to put in it. The materials are cheap, but they won't last more than a couple of camping seasons.

👤The case is not strong enough to match the quality of the stove, which is something I love about this system. The stove is light, effective and works well, but the case is a bit behind in quality.

6. Camp Chef EX60LW Explorer Outdoor

Camp Chef EX60LW Explorer Outdoor

It is certified that it meets the requirement of theUIAA. The hose and regulator are included. The legs and wind screen are made of steel. It is compatible with most 14 in. Camp Chef accessories. There are two 30,000 BTUs/Hr. The burners are cast-aluminum. Appliance-style temperature controls. The propane tank is not included.

Brand: Camp Chef

👤This grill was bought to use in camping. I decided to use it in my home grilling system. I bought a pizza oven and made a BBQ island to fit it. Buying more accessories over the next year works well.

👤The best cooking appliance I have ever purchased. I live on a farm and can't find an indoor propane range, so I bought a camp chef with a professional griddle. It puts out a lot of heat. I was able to get the griddle to over 500 degrees in 10 minutes. The only problem is that it is short. I made my own leg extensions, using 1/3 inch PVC and caps, because I didn't want to buy expensive ones. The cost of the material was $1.29 for 10 feet, 4 caps were 30 cents each and glue was $2. I left 7 inches out of the end of the eat piece for a total height of 36 inches. I used 1/2 inch sheet meal screws because there were already 2 holes in each leg. The leg extensions make it sturdy.

👤I received this item and have not used it yet. I'll update later if it's less than 5 stars. 1. This thing is large. I thought it was smaller. It's the same size as a standard house stove. You should know what you're getting. 2. The burners are large. It's listed at 30k BTU because it means business. 3. If I can figure out how to get the pics off my phone, I'll show you. You will need a large table. Think of a picnic table as large. The camp tables are not adequate. There's not much need since the legs are sturdy. It will sit on a table. 4. I also bought a griddle for it. It's a perfect fit for this unit. I want to buy a second one so I can use both sides when cooking. I like having more than I need. 5. I like the modular approach to this unit. The base unit alone is a bargain compared to the smaller table-top units that are more expensive for camping. The quality is there, and the K.I.S.S. principle is alive and well in the design. 6. The kind of camping you do has an impact. I plan on camping in a car/tent for most of the time. I intend to cook a lot while out there. The brand and this unit should be called Camp Chef. 7. I like designs where form follows function and then becomes art. That's how I see it. There are 8. The box for the Camp Chef was damaged when I got this unit. It was clear that it had been retaped. I was worried that I was getting someone else's return. I was happy to find that the unit had been opened to make sure it hadn't been damaged. There are 9. I didn't get the carry bag that was available. I will correct that mistake next week. This is something you will want to protect for a long time. I don't think it will last decades with just a little care. 10. The unit has no electric start. This isn't the unit for you if you have that. One less thing to eventually break or go wrong is what the K.I.S.S principle is about. I would prefer a lighter. You can have several just in case. 11. You only need the propane tank if you have the propane hose attached. There are 12. The legs and the car came with a bag to hold them, which was a nice surprise. It will help them not getting lost. I looked over all the table-top units by various manufacturers in order to buy one of them. All of them seemed to have some sort of problem. Either quality/longevity, or windscreen problems, or connector problems, or burner issues, or too hot with no adequate low setting. Something. I knew when I found this that it wasn't going to be less than I needed, and that I could grow with my expertise if I wanted to. I know it was the right decision after seeing it in person.

7. Portable Backpacking Survival Emergency CG 2000G

Brand: Campy Gear

👤With the COVID situation and outdoor dining becoming the norm at restaurants, I've brought this awesome little heater with me and sit it on top of the dining table for a picnic. The restaurant staff thought it was cool. I thought they might be weary of it being a fire hazard, but I didn't get a negative reaction. It's nice and discreet to bring it out, it's small, like a water bottle, so it's easy to see. It's powerful at the same time. When my wife and I sit across from each other, there is plenty of warmth in the middle of the table. If there were 4 of us, we'd need a second heater. It lasts a long time. It can use any one of the following: propane, butane, or even a mixture of the two. The 8oz net weight gas canister can provide heat at full blast for at least 2 hours. You will need a match or lighter to start. If you put the lighter through the cage, the gas dial on the heater will light up instantly. It has a flame that can be adjusted to heat or cooking. If you want a flame for cooking, you should move the little metal rod all the way to the right of the words "air valve" which is engraved on the metal near the flame. Move the dial all the way to the left if you want flame for heat. Even though it came with a dial that was all the way to the left, I had to make a one time adjustment to get the proper flame to come. It was fine after that, with no further adjustments needed. The air vent at the top of the cage should not be used for cooking. The air vent is loose and may rattle a bit. I clipped the "External Hitch Pin" onto the rivet that holds the air vent in place after I bought it at the hardware store. The air vent was tightened. I found an elegant sewing bag to put it in, but the heater comes with a mesh bag for transporting it. I'll be camping for heating and cooking in the car when camping season starts. It feels stable enough to use in a pot or frying pan. I really like this little device.

👤A small stove, but a slight breeze. It is easy to make a wind screen. I have not used it for heating, but I will use the CO monitor. The stove is stable if you use the right cookware. I don't like how the cage can come loose. The "heat & cook" mode does not mean much cooking. It's more like a heat and warm mode. The cost of iso-butane is ridiculous. This stove/heater has a coupon for a free 1 lbs. Do not expect the hose to be honored. I followed the instructions provided after submitting the request for a text message. Never heard from them again. The stove would be a better value if the hose was included. Customer support is not expected to be much.

8. Coleman Stove Ppn BRN Triton

Coleman Stove Ppn BRN Triton

Stable: The Cross stand tripod design on the top gives steady support to the cooking kit. Up to 22,000 total BTUs of cooking power. There are 5 adjusted burners. For precise temperature control. There are wind- blocking panels. adjust pan sizes and shield burners from wind. Pressure-control technology can be used for consistent performance in extreme conditions. It is easy to clean the grate and aluminum cooktop.

Brand: Coleman

👤It works. I find the "perfectflow" valves to work well. We never had a problem getting a low, high, or in-between flame. The wind deflectors that fold from the back are awkward. If there's not a lot of space around, you have to open the lid very far back to get them open. I find mounting the tank on the side puts it in the way, and unlike others, there is not a flexible hose attachment available. There is a hole in the stove that can be used to insert the regulator, but there is no way to hold it in place. A handle would be nice. The thin stamped metal parts are cheap and flimsy. The Coleman stove we used in the Boy Scouts was better than this one. I guess it goes. It works, for as flimsy as it is. Do I give it 5 stars? Read on. We used it for about a month or two after purchase. I screw the regulator on and hear a snap inside. The stove is useless because I can't screw the regulator on. I was angry because I thought it was past the warranty and would have to buy a new one. I called Coleman. Within two days, a new one was shipped out, after I sent in some pics, receipt, and other information by email. Tracking number and everything. How can I be upset because they made things right?

👤I paid more for this model because I thought it would be an upgrade from my old stove. The burner on the left side was bent sideways when I opened the package, and it got hung up on the silver tray when I closed it. It's not cool! I can only assume that the stove came from the factory because the box wasn't smashed and the stove was packaged in styrofoam. I didn't have time to return this stove and I have tools, so I ended up removing both burners, removing the snap rings that hold the tray on and using pliers to bend and manipulate the metal into the correct position. I am giving this one star because I shouldn't have to do metal surgery on a new stove.

👤The Coleman stove worked well for me. It was cooked like a charm. It seems like it is economical on fuel as well. I used up one propane canister and cooked on it 5 times for about half an hour each time. The burner fix was mentioned on U-Tube. I had better control over the burners when I tried it again. I can get a really low flame for simmering now. I was surprised at the grease on the valve stem, it was a brand new stove. I put on a light coat of silicone spray after wiping it all off. I now have complete control over the burners. Many people have said in their reviews that the burners were either on or off with very low flame. If you're having trouble getting a low flame, try this fix. It works!

9. RANDDER Portable Bottletop Propane Adjustable

RANDDER Portable Bottletop Propane Adjustable

1 year manufacturer's warranty The maximum energy output is 10,000 British thermal units. A comprehensive set includes a propane stove, a black storage bag, and a bottle brackets. A must have for cooking outside. The propane stove is heavy-duty, Rust- resistant and has a copper propane burner. Excellent quality. Control valve can adjust fire power, making it more convenient. The stove body is divided into two parts. The Propane Bottle Base is made of high impact plastic. Not included is a compatible with most standard 1lb propane canisters. The portable outdoor cooking set is small and lightweight and portable. The bottle base is portable and compact. Replacement base for camping stove and propane accessories are stable and reliable. It's suitable for outdoor camping, hiking, and barbecuing.

Brand: Randder

👤Made in China. The portable camp stove is the best I've seen yet, but it's heavy and has no ignition. I asked my hiking friends if it was too heavy and how much they needed. I assume that's a personal choice, though. I like camping. It's well-suited for that. The stove top is stable and decent in diameter. Most camp pots will fit in the size. The holes are done evenly. It burns well. The metal's edges are not sharp or harsh. The base is light and empty, but a propane canister should keep it weighted. I call them the "petals". They add stability by rotating out easily. The cheap carry bag was the only issue I could find. It isn't big enough to hold everything. The propane stem doesn't go together very much when put through the base hole. The top of the bag is open so I can get things to stay in. There is no way to hold the drawstring. The edges of the stove top are going to rip soon. 5 stars is worth it to me. You can use the Amazon.com address to make a small donation to a charity of your choice when you buy things there. Here is the information: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/chpf/about/

👤The best part about this is that it collapses and can fit in a small carry bag. The bag doesn't have a tie on it, so it's difficult to store, so I removed one star. The set comes in two pieces so you can store without a canister. I just plugged in the standard campfire propane canister and attached the base to it and turned it on without any problems. I liked that it had fins that could be extended to give you even more stability. It is recommended.

👤The burner can easily handle a pot or pan. This set is large to carry around backpacking, but it would work well at a campsite. The camping section has small propane canisters. I have had a few already, but haven't been able to find any more.

👤It's easy to assemble and you can adjust the burner. The bag only fit one item.

10. CONCORD Outdoor Regulator Concord Cookware

CONCORD Outdoor Regulator Concord Cookware

The stove has a push of a button. The burner is made from heavy duty cast iron and will last a lifetime. Two individual burner stoves on stand with separate heat control burning up to 55,000 BTU each burner. The included items are a high pressure regulator and hose. The stand has legs that can be removed for easy storage. Capable of supporting two stockpots. Manual lighting is needed for this burner.

Brand: Concord

👤This has been used for pressure canning and water bath canning. It is large enough for two large pots without being tight. The adjustment for the gas is very easy. The air intake adjustment is turned until you like the look of the gas burning in the burners. You can't get it wrong.

👤This would have been a 3 Star review, as the product construction seems fairly good, with some minor inconveniences, and one big, but very specific issue. I had a nightmare trying to contact the company. If you're worried about this product, you should look for another manufacturer since the company has no website, no phone number, and the address is only a warehouse in CA. Amazon is the only way to contact them. I will update this review if they respond in appropriate time and fashion. The legs are an easy assembly. If you want your food to be hot or your water to be boiling fast, you should use a 2 burner. You should buy a double burner travel bag for this, as it's a pain moving this around, or having 4 legs rolling around in your trunk. Measure your pot! More on that can be found below. The knobs don't have a good feel for how high you've turned them on, so you have to spin them. The propane line's air vent is important, and they can be adjusted. It's terrible that they are placed where you can't see them, and that they don't have any markings for "open" or "closed." I'll have to wear heatproof gloves until I get it right. Brewers beware! Anyone with a 15 gallon pot. I use my 15 gallon brew kettle for home brew.

👤The gas control knobs were set in a way that put pressure on the connecting gas pipe, which created small openings for gas to escape, even though it might only be a problem with the unit I received. It had to be returned. The instructions were very good and I was able to use it without any fire issues because I used soapy water to check for leaks. It was a perfect return through Amazon.

👤I needed a stove that would burn clean for canning and wouldn't get black soot on my canners, so it was just what I got. I'm pretty sure you can put at least 100 lbs on that stove, especially when you're doing 19 gallons at a time, I'm very satisfied with the stove.

👤I never had a chance to use the product because it was bad from the beginning and I ordered a different one if the knobs were not faulty.

👤The cast iron griddle plate is a great value. Once you figure out the vent settings, it works great. It's about right to get blue flame with yellow tips when mine are set to straight up.

👤This will speed up the canning of spaghetti sauce. This thing works well. I wish I had it sooner. I kept the jars full so they were always hot and the other pot was always boiling. The 1st several use burnt paint on the grate, but that doesn't bother me. There was a minor gas leak that was easily solved and I had to modify the preassembled gas piping.

Brand: Coleman

👤When I'm camping, I use this to boil water. I refill my tanks. I bought one about 15 years ago, but it got swept away in a Gully Flood. This was bought to replace it. Looks the same. Good idea, but has the same poor quality construction that I find in most things from Coleman. The attitude of "let's make it as cheap as possible", found in most "made in China" equipment they produce, leaves me unimpressed. The plastic insides of the valve mechanism feel loose and do not give me a feeling of confidence when I turn it off. When not in use, the tank and stove must be separated. Why not use a quality valve? I would have paid more for a better product. I have simple propane soldering torches that screw to the top of the tanks, which is 10 times the quality of the same money. Coleman wants you to break the valve and throw the unit away. Many people here accept poorly engineered products and give 5 stars to everything they buy. Not a happy camper. I will not buy another. The product was found to be a much better quality product. I bought it.

👤works well for money. I found a good carrying case for it. The plastic container is 9x8x68. I got it from the target. You can get it for $4-$5. It fits the stove and base.

👤It worked well for the first year. You can see the burn marks on the plastic and the gas leaking from the knob in the picture. It's a shame.

👤A small. It's lightweight. It's very easy to attach the propane tank. The Burns were evenly burned. In windy situations, does well. It's perfect for camping.

👤I wouldn't want anything else other than this one, even though it may be a little bigger than other portable ultra light camping stoves. I read that the overall area to place a pot/pan on is small and can be flimsy, so I purchased this guy. It held all of my camping pots/pans perfectly, and since you slide the bottle of gas into the round base, you can adjust it if you are on a slope. This will be a staple for future camping trips.

👤This is a very well made item. It is convenient to use. The cylinder can be plumped into the base with the help of the top. The short, fat cylinders are used instead of the long, long cylinders you usually see plumbing use. I had one of these things. I hurried and ordered another one because I couldn't locate the thing. The part of Florida I live in, the Panhandle, did not get hit by the storm. My old stove helped my father and I through Hurrican Ivan in 2004. We didn't have power or water for a week and half of the trees were knocked down. Our roof lost every other row of shingles, the storm windows blew out with loud bangs, and the siding of our house blew three blocks down the street, which my neighbor, John, returned to me as a joke. We 800-273-3217 I also have a Coleman propane stove. I can't find that either. I used this stove a couple of times before deciding the single burner was enough for coffee, tea, or dinner. We ate Hormel with no beans and Bush's chili beans thrown in. You don't have to use soapy water on the joints to check for gas leaks with this stove. There is one connection. If it does hiss when you screw it on it means the valve is open. To light it, just open the valve and light it with a match or butane lighter. You use the valve to turn it on or off. If you're not familiar with propane torches, the gas coming out makes the connection icy cold to the point that frost forms. No kidding. The same principle that makes your refrigerator work will cause frost to form. I told you to torch mind you. I didn't allow the burner to run full blast. The cooking grid is very sturdy and might eventually be hurt by the flame. If I ever find the old burner, I will compare it to the new one. There is a word about liquid fuel stoves. The Coleman dual fuel stove will burn over four times what is in a cylinder per gallon, according to a add for a dual fuel stove. The cylinders only hold 16 ounces of liquid and the gallon has 128 ounces. The liquid fuel gasoline stove blowing up and sending people to heaven was a joke the person used to make. Methane, ethane, propane, and butane are the straight line gases. You get gasolines, mineral spirits, fuel oils, and tars after this. Natural gas and ethane are not liquids at safe pressure. At 15 atmospheres of pressure, propane is a liquid. The stuff in your bottles is liquid. Butane is liquid at the pressures you find in bottles. propane is more expensive than butane, butane is ideal for plastic lighters. Natural gas is cheap, but an actual cylinder of gas would give you less cooking time. They use gas in city vehicles, but they don't have a great range per charge. If you like to camp or live in hurricanes, this and other Coleman products are very nice. I give it five stars.
