Brand: überleben

👤Excellent construction, very sturdy, fits together tightly, easily holds a dutch oven, big skillet, or canteen cup, folds flat, good strong canvas bag to store it away. This is my favorite stove. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to put it together after removing the protective covering. I used it for 3 days to burn everything from pine cones to twigs and leaves. This will be with me on every trip. I could feel the heat coming up from the stove as it cooked my soup. It is a great way to have a small fire for a couple of people when I am not out backpacking or camping. I will buy a second one to leave in my car. It was a little tight the first few times I took it apart. Not a problem. The rest of the stove came apart after I used a piece of wood to pop the cross X pieces loose. I feel great after the purchase. I'm happy to have found a stove that I can use for backpacking, camping, survival, earthquake kit, and any other time I might want to have a fire outside. I will be shooting a video of this stove in action this weekend.

👤This thing is strong. The flatness is great, can be tucked anywhere, but it's a little heavy on the heavy side, so I'd rather have something heavier. I had 2 littlbug jr.'s which were very light, but strange to pack, as they break down into half cylinders. I think the littlebugs were taken out of my luggage by the TSA and I flew with them. We cook with cast iron and this stove is ready to handle that. If cared for, could last forever. Littlebug was sometimes difficult to feed. There is a bottom part to keep the fire from spreading. I can't recommend this product enough.

👤I had to use my stove yesterday. It works well and provides a camp cooking alternative. The little stove is amazing. It's easy to set up and keep going. A piece of equipment. In my purse!

👤This stove has not one overly sharp edge. It feels heavy at 14oz but is strong. I stood on it after it was assembled. Excellent quality. It burns very well. I have noticed no warping of components after using several times. The stove holds up well.

👤I love this stove. It is the perfect size to cook in. The air flow holds the perfect amount of fuel. If you prepare it, it will go along way. It is easy to assemble, disassemble and clean. I have used this in places where you can't have a regular campfire and after eating and drinking a hot cup of tea you have to go to bed. I would buy this product again and again. I wish it came in a titanium version to lower the weight. The weight is not bad compared to a stove and fuel canister because you have less to pack. It is small enough to fit into your cargo pant pocket.

2. QuickStove Portable Emergency Multi Fuel Stainless

QuickStove Portable Emergency Multi Fuel Stainless

You don't have to add fuels all the time, and Efficient Burning is easy to assemble, with a special cross-entrance for easy fire-power adjustment. All in one kit has everything you need to cook, boil water or stay warm. It's perfect for camping, hiking, backpacking and emergency situations. An essential survival item. Light weight and portable, it's a self contained kit. Everything fits into the pot for convenience. Always have a source of heat. The stove can be used in four different cooking positions to accommodate pots, cups or grilling. Fuel sources for maximum use. It's less than a pound. The steel has a heat reflective coating. There are multiple purpose parcels. The pot can hold up to 7 cups of water. The lid can be used as a frying pan or a plate. There are two QuickStove fire starter fuel disks with burn times. Made in the USA, top craftsmanship and durability. Don't trust survival and bushcraft readiness to cheap imports.

Brand: Quickstove

👤The Esbit type stove is a larger version. It opens a little wider than a folding stove, but will adjust to a smaller opening to accommodate smaller pans or cups. I've used alcohol to cook meals and boil water, and I've also used a one inch copper pipe cap filled with alcohol. Good cooking results were provided by all of these fuels. I'm not sure if you could burn bio-fuels like twigs or leaves. The pan that comes with the stove is a large pan, and with its lid on, cooks food very efficiently. The hockey puck shaped wood and wax fuel pellet were included in the kit. I haven't used it yet, but it looks like each quarter would cook a meal. There was a sample of food. I put it in my emergency bug out bag to use later, if necessary. This is a great cooking kit, and I would recommend it for camping, power failures, or as part of a car emergency kit. If we ever have a big earthquake, I could be trapped on the freeway because I live in Southern California. I remember seeing pictures of cars trapped on overpasses during the last earthquake, and I'm pretty sure I can cook a meal if that happens to me.

👤The QuickStove is the best thing ever. Every survivalist should own it and every camper should have it. We went camping for 5 days and used it a lot. Everything from heating up coffee in the morning to making full meals on it. The cook part is solid enough to hold a 10" cast iron skillet and can be configured to accommodate different sized items. The lid folds over the whole deal like a cute little package, because the cook part fits nicely inside the pot. It came with cedar wax fuel disks which are great in their own right. You can use other forms of fuel with the cook part. We used a lot of the pot with lid. Since it holds the cook part and is self contained, it means you have to carry less stuff, since it is easy to clean. Everyone else should buy this setup because it is too heavy for a weight conscious back packer. I love this thing!

👤This is a great design. The stove has different positions for different pots. It is built like a tank but is a bit heavy. I want to give the whole package 5 stars. The pot is very nice. It is a small double boiler because the lid fits both ways. You need a handle to use the lid as a small frying pan, but it makes a nice plate or shallow bowl. The stove has cedar fuel rounds and the pot handle has bolts. It is in place. * They included a package of Wise Chili Macaroni. I have never tried any of the Wise products. Nice gesture giving me a meal. Thank you.

👤The little stove is reliable. The cookset is a good value. There is a bonus for the ability to use multiple fuel sources. I would only add an ash plate for the bottom of the fire, and just cut a piece of tin. Two hockey puck sized wood /resin fuel tablets, a bic lighter or small ferro rod, and a folded stove are all contained in the folded stove. The folded stove is in the pot. The handle on my pot wasn't soldered straight, so I had to use one star for a slightly irregular fit.

3. Esbit Ultralight Folding Pocket Tablets

Esbit Ultralight Folding Pocket Tablets

If you don't like the product for any reason, please contact customer service within 180 days and they will help you. The stove is made from galvanized steel and folds down to a small size. Each Esbit 14 g solid fuel tablets burns approximately 12 minutes, and one burns 500 liters of water in 8 minutes. Two cooking positions are not included. The dimensions are 3 inches wide by 3 inches tall. The weight, including solid fuel, is 6.3 ounces (180 g). The manufacturer's warranty is 2 years.

Brand: Esbit

👤I bought a version of a stove on eBay that looked like it was from the 1950s, and it's amazing that the design hasn't changed in decades. You can't get a stove that is more affordable. The low price and ease of use make this one unbeatable. The consequences of the actions? One of the tablets I used did not boil much water or produce the kind of heat that I am 800-273-3217 The positives? The stove makes a cup of tea more simply than any other stove I've used. The stove is small and the tabs light up in a few seconds if you apply a flame. If you use this stove backpacking, double bagging the fuel tabs is a good idea to avoid smelling up your gear because the fuel tabs have a strong odor. There are many ways to purchase this stove on Amazon, so keep in mind that you can buy many tabs with some stoves or just a few.

👤You'll be happy to pay for this amazing WWII technology. I own one in each vehicle, one in my day pack, and one in my 72 hour kit. The fuel is kept out of the air. In almost any weather, one tab will boil 12 ounces of water. If you're more frugal, you could go for a whole weekend with this stove. As a member of the SAR, I learned about these gems. I kept one in my pack to warm lost hikers. The stove is so small that it can fit inside a coffee cup and a Bic butane lighter. I lit one up at 10,000 feet on Mt Humphreys in a snowstorm in Arizona, as well as on an unexpected bivouac in Afghanistan. This is a piece of kit that won't let you down.

👤This stove is the foundation for my adventure tea kit, which will include a cup of tea by the river, a mountain top, or a lake on a cold day. Coffee fans might have some input there. I'm using it with a titanium cup in diameter of 3 inches. This is too small and only engages three of the four tabs on the stove. It took 18 12 minutes to bring 8oz of water from 65F to a boil, with an outside air temperature of 34F, and no cover on the cup. There is a Don't despair! The time was reduced to 5 minutes 56 seconds with foil wrapped around the stove and cup to focus the heat and shield wind. Fuel tablets burn for about 10 minutes. I tried the larger 27g tablets and they boiled the water in 5 minutes 38 seconds, and they burned for about 12 minutes total. There is a My tea kit, which includes a stove, titanium cup, 27g fuel cube, aluminum foil, and a teabag, weighs only 6.3oz. The included fuel tablets will leave a bit of a mark on your cooking vessel. The picture of the bottom of the cup was taken after one use. Don't put your cup on grandma's doily. The fuel cubes are like rotten fish puke. I store them in their sealed packaging inside a ziplock bag, and I can still smell them, but at a less gag-worthy level. They don't smell bad when burning, and I haven't noticed any unpleasant flavor in the water or tea, even boiling it in an uncovered cup.

4. Esbit CS585HA 3 Piece Lightweight Camping

Esbit CS585HA 3 Piece Lightweight Camping

Jetboil has a stove that will keep you fueled for any adventure. No matter the level of cuisine you want to create, a compact and efficient stove is essential. The kit includes a pot, lid, and stand. The cookset and stove are made from lightweight aluminum that is seven ounces. Esbit's proprietary, solid state fuel cubes are sold separately. The pot has volume indicators in both liters and ounces, and two hinges that fold against the body of the pot. Stores in a mesh bag are ideal for backpackers and campers who like to travel light.

Brand: Esbit

👤I've been camping and hiking my whole life and this little solid fuel cooking system is awesome. I keep Esbit tabs in my 10 essentials kit and they're wonderful. I got this baby for fun and to see what I could do with it, and thus far I'm more than impressed. It's easy to use, and it's well made. I got this model because of the built-in windscreen design and the perfect 20oz cup, which is just right for solo camping/hiking activities. If needed, use it with a larger pot. The kit allows me to store 12 14gram tabs and a lighter all wrapped in a cute little mesh bag. The kit can be used for many types of outings, and it's still liquid fuel systems. The Esbit brand is one of the best solid fuel combo around. If you're thinking about one, just get it, we've all wasted more money on lesser things. Last thought. If you're camping with this thing, take a 16oz container of water to bed with you and you'll be heat water from 70* instead of 40* in the AM and thus much more efficient- for any trail cook system.

👤Since Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico, the country is without light and this small stove became part of my daily use, but now after 30 days, I can say that it is the best stove I have ever used. The stove and Mountain House are safe.

👤I'm an extreme backpacker and I rely on my camping stove. I have a lot of different camping stoves, so I can give an experienced perspective review. The stove is all in one, with a cup/pot, windscreen design base, and hole to insert fuel cube. I've used it many times on camping trips when the mornings and evenings were cold and a nice cup of hot tea or soup was really needed. I got really warm, but not boiling hot. I used the Esbit fuel cubes. I have to use 2 cubes per pot to get that rolling boil, and that just isn't efficient or cost-friendly. The bottom section of the Esbit stove has a design that keeps the pot raised more than the pocket stove. This stove is great in warm weather, but I like winter camping and mountain tops in the summer, so it's only good on limited trips. I only use this stove for camping or when a friend needs a stove. The POCKET ESBIT stove is a very inexpensive one and it has a pot that sits above the flame source so the contents come to a rolling boil. I've used the POCKET ESBIT on some long distance trips and in some very cold weather, but mostly in the 30-40 degree weather. I have to carry a small light weight foil windshield, but it still beats the efficiency of this bulky Esbit stove. A simple redesign would fix this problem - reduce the size of the bottom that lifts the pot above the flame, move the air slits at the same level as the fuel-hole, and then the pot will sit closer to the fuel source and get hotter. The basic design of the pocket stove would be the same as the pots round design. Would I recommend? It depends. If you don't mind using more than one fuel cube to a pot to get the boil on cold camping trips, then yes, you are a fair weather camper. Otherwise, no. It's an Esbit, so why 3 stars? It is a basic job.

5. Emberlit Titanium Multi Fuel Backpacking Survival

Emberlit Titanium Multi Fuel Backpacking Survival

The wood burning camp stove has a cast iron top that can be used for a flat, bbq sets, round bottomed pan or dutch ovens. It's perfect for camping, cooking, grilling, emergency preparednesss, survival and other outdoor activities. Ultra light stove. Flat packs for easy storage. It was made of pure titanium.

Brand: Emberlit

👤I own many different brands of backpacking stoves and always find the Emberlit to be the most efficient. The fireant is tops in packability. The package is less than 3 ounces and is made of titanium. If you compare the size and weight of the burner to the same size, you will feel the difference. The wire leg supports make the hinged steel stove much more unstable than it would be if it were not for them. Both work well but the use of the fireant is the winner. When compared to the fireant, the competitive hinged versions offer quick set up and take down, but after initial use, the assembly of the Emberlit product is very easy. The ability to use multiple fuels again is nothing new to the market, but the difference is that the Emberlit product does this task in a more elegant fashion with less components. Some of the competitive stoves of this size require more than one small part to complete the multi fuel task. The fireant has the most effective use of the fire box when compared to the competitive stove, side loading and plenty of draft to burn even damp wood, the Emberlit stove requires less stroking to keep a nice burn going. The addition of the Trangia burner is not difficult, the fuel plate works with solid fuels and the slots will accept a live fire burner if needed. The Emberlit products are simple effective and efficient. I don't want to think a lot when assembling my stove, I just want to cook my food and get on with my time outdoors, and the Emberlit products excel at that task. As for the people who complain about sharp edges, be careful and take precautions, this is light thin metal, so be careful and keep in mind the act of starting, maintaining and extinguishing a fire. The Emberlit Ti fireant is less expensive than the white gas stove and the Chinese round wood gas stove, which everyone seems to like. The USA product that works is called Emberlit. There will be a permanent place for the fireant in my bag.

👤The Fireant is a fire in a box and this is the best way to describe it. A small fire in a box. A small, economical and relatively safe fire that can be moved anywhere and also works as a stand for your pot is what you get with this small, economical and relatively safe fire. All it takes is a couple of twigs. You casually snap these off a tree on the trail, put them in your backpack's side pocket, and in the evening it will boil a liter of water for you and leave some wood for laters. Mileage can vary with different types of wood. I usually don't bother with fuel. I lie down next to the stove and pick sticks. I reach for a few more twigs or cones when it's about to burn out. It's crazy. I like to use this stove as a small bonfire, roasting sausages or small skewers of bacon, onion, cheese, whatever, on the off chance that there's no natural fuel around. Simply place the small metal plate near the top of the stove and you're ready to cook. This is great for a quick cup of tea when you are going to hit the trail. There are pros and cons to it. When packed, it's super thin. I have been carrying it in my backpack for weeks because I forgot to take it out after the hike. + Efficient. A few sticks and twigs is all you need. Universal. It works with Esbit as well as Trangia. No fuss. It is easy to assemble and disassemble. It is easier to make a fire. It requires near constant attention. The fire inside the Fireant can only be so big and will burn out after a while. The bottom feeding mechanism allows you to feed it with longer sticks, which will help it burn off. It requires some baby sitting. It's almost like a toy. It's probably not for everyone. It can't be used on all surfaces. It's very mobile and undemanding, but you still need to choose where you put it. The base gets very hot and will char most surfaces beneath it. After a while, small embers will fall out of the vent holes at the bottom. You don't want to use this on your kitchen table. Not on a bed of grass. A small patch of dirt is all you need. Not proof of a bomb. The titanium sheets are the same as the whole product. If you pack them in a silly way, they can bend in your backpack. You don't want to step on it or drop your bag at it, even though it will hold a large dutch oven. Most damage can be undone by bending the sheets back to their original shape.

Brand: Hikpeed

👤This is the first stove I have used. I used to use a white gas stove, but was tired of having to pack fuel. The stove is great. You can put a fire starting kit in it if you put it in your backpack. I grabbed a few sticks and cooked breakfast. It was easy to start the fuel. You could place a stick in the stove top notch if the bacon and eggs were on the top.

👤I was between putting a 3 or a 4. I went with a 4 because it was cheaper, but man does this thing smoke up! We used fatwood from a store for the fire, but it made a lot of smoke. It made a small pot of water boil in about 15 minutes, so it could work in an emergency. The water was covered in soot, so make sure you use a lid for whatever you boil. I put it on the ground. Don't light this up on a table.

👤The twigs work great in the cool weather, but alcohol does not work well in 2000 feet. It doesn't take much to have a cup of tea. The rounded rock did the job and now there are no sharp edges.

👤I like the small stove, but I wish it was larger in diameter and could take larger pieces of wood n sticks. It was hot but very fast. I will be cutting some small hardwood chunks from a plank board to carry with me because I won't have to constantly be adding twigs. It's nice to have handles for moving or dumping. Will get a small pot of water to boil quickly. Hikers need a back pack for fast set up. It should be an inch or two larger. I will give it 5 stars all day.

👤It's perfect for portable use. This is a great item to have in a backpack.

👤We ordered to use it as a backup. It's small and you have to refill it with small fuel, but it works very well and compact, excellent to have the wand blowing to keep your facts back, but know that it's small and you have to refill it with small fuel. I would buy another one immediately if it was double in size, it works beautifully and I wish it was more large.

👤It works with pellets, hope they don't need it this winter. It burns clean and works with wood.

👤The instructions are on the product site or on Amazon. Does not come with printed instructions. Either memorize the instructions or write them down. Good luck.

Brand: Anbull

👤This little stove is amazing. The actual cooking area is huge, so I don't want to call it little. Can handle large pots and skillets. It is lightweight and easy to assemble, so I say little. I bought two but it is an excellent prepper item and I highly recommend it. Is there twigs and small branches? I can get that easily. It is great to get this wood stove.

👤I haven't opened the box yet to take it out. I had a dream that I used it during the zombie apocalypse and it saved me from ordering Chinese food.

👤The device is really cool. It works perfectly. My kids run it a lot now. The outside gets a little warm but not enough to burn or be dangerous. These are a must have for everyone. You can cook with sticks in a bad situation. There were no starting fires.

👤I received mine from Amazon. A piece of equipment. It should last for a long time. It's nice to have for emergencies.

👤If the grid goes down, this will be a huge help.

9. Camping Windscreen Backpacking Emergency Survival

Camping Windscreen Backpacking Emergency Survival

The mini backpaking stove is easy to install. Get ready in just 5 minutes by assembling the stove structure, adding dried wood or leaves, fire up, and place your cooking utensils on the stove. It's perfect for hiking, camping, backpacking, BBQ, picnic, outdoor survival and emergency preparedness. The mess tin cover could be used to protect the table or ground from burning when a folding stove is set ablaze. TheOCKETSTOVE: The lightweight galvanized steel backpacking stove 3.8" X 3.0" X 2.0" is ideal for an emergency stove in a kit in a truck or outdoor use. The portable stove is small enough to fit in a smaller pot. The wind screen protects flames from the sides with light wind, for both gas camping stove fuel as well as alcohol stove. The metal tin case is used to keep the mess kit out of the rock. There is a 100% money back guarantee. They will give you a satisfying solution if any piece is broken.

👤It does the job in a pinch. There are bad reviews here. It's an esbit stove. It's supposed to do more than it's designed for. It will heat your food and hide it in your pack.

👤If the tin had room for a box of fuel pellets, I could have everything in one handy package. The metal tin barely fits the stove and the wind-break and then the lid doesn't want to stay on. There isn't a place for storing fuel pellets. A pack of four fuel pellets would fit neatly inside the stove, or a box of fuel pellets would fit in a tin, if it were larger in all directions. I think the price reflects that.

👤I like the idea of a storage tin to keep the soot off my other backpacking items. The shield is not a selling point for me and adds a lot of weight to the package. This stove will do what I want.

👤I liked the idea but the folding stove wasn't good. The case and wind screen were used to add a stove.

👤The reviews claimed it doesn't fit well in its case, so I almost didn't buy it. It does. There is room for a fuel cube. The shield helps regulate cooking temperatures.

👤Very pleased with the product. Absolutely love the idea of the integration of things. I have the container. A little more in dimensions would allow for more storage options for fuel, water bags, and other items. There is a lanyard for the container. I'm still happy with my decision.

👤The rivet was broken. It was not very big on the gage.

👤This product is great for small things. Tin box can fit a stove with solid fuel cubes.

Brand: Hikpeed

👤If you buy this one, be careful, it is not as big as it looks, and you can't return it.

11. Bushcraft FireDragon Multi Fuel Cooker Size

Bushcraft FireDragon Multi Fuel Cooker Size

The product weight is 2.7 Ounces. The product is 6.7*1.3 inches. A small cooking appliance. It's ideal for travelling, hiking, backpacking and other outdoor activities. It is lightweight and compact.

Brand: Bushcraft

👤The stove is longer than the Esbit. I think using hand sanitizer or their fuel gel will work better than Esbit's solid fuel tabs. It burns cleaner when it heats water faster than Esbit fuel tabs. The wind guard is nice. The water was boiled in 3 minutes.

👤The mini stove was taken on a survival training course. It worked out well. Light and compact. It should be put in a small pouch with room to spare. Solid fuel can last long enough to boil water. It took two solid fuel tablets to cook something more filling. I might use the gel fuel to see if I can regulate it for a longer time.

👤I have many types of alcohol, fuel cannister and solid fuel tablets, not just a camper, but a collector. This Fire Dragon is a way to improve what you think can't be improved. The Esbit has been the most well-known name in solid fuel stoves since it's initial offering. The allies tried their own take in WW2 but they never seemed to last, as it's compact design and ability to store fuel tabs in the body made it convenient for civilian use as well. Fire Dragon has won my heart. The wind screen and deep well allow easier multi-fuel use. What's not to love? The best long standing design features are taken up a notch or three. I love it! And it's price point? It's awesome. The quality is great, but the price is half the price.

👤The fuel tray is perfect for boiling water. The tray needs to be filled completely with something to cook it. I didn't have tabs to try out in times of need. The wind-screen feature helps do the job expected of it.

👤I received the item and it was what I was expecting, except for the fuel cubes. Oh, ugh. It was a bit my bad. The item seems to be of good quality and I had alternative ideas for fuel. Let the games begin! Four stars for seller not being completely transparent about fuel cubes not being included with purchase.

👤This has been great to use. Both of us are military and we both take field exercises when possible. The use of our money has been very useful.

👤It had some growing pains at first. It is made of steel. It is heavy for what it is. I used sterno gel fuel for an emergency stove. I have tested it for fuel. Not as hot as sterno. Don't use liquid. It is folded metal. If you used the water test it could be a bad day. If you want to test your fuel at home, you should use a frying pan with a lid near by.

👤The Esbit design was an improvement over this one. The box has nub points that lock in the angle of fold to accommodate different sized cups. It has a trough that can hold gel fuel. I used hand sanitizer and it heated my water as a test. The wind screen is helpful.
