Brand: The Atomic Bear

👤I bought 10 of them to give to the homeless. I hope it does what it says it will do, because I was so sad when we found a naked woman sleeping under the skyway in Buffalo. She was covered in blankets under the bridge. Her mattress was lying on the ground, amidst all the garbage and puddles of water. A couch that another homeless person was sitting on was 10 feet from her. We went out on New Years Eve. I couldn't offer her a place with a roof and walls.

👤Light and packable. In an emergency situation, this bivy can save your life. You can keep one in your vehicle or backpack. It's perfect for a bug out bag.

👤Many people don't think about the fact that helicopters have heat-IRscopes that they use to find you in neighborhoods and the woods, but blankets and sleeping bags stop most of the heat signal. If you cover it with dirt or sand, it works better. This could be a life saver if you have nothing to keep you warm. I would have given my last dollar for something like this, because I have been in the cold and wet. I have this and three safety blankets, so I don't have to. Hopefully they will be around when the need arises.

👤I bought this for a friend because it was kind of an inside joke and I thought she could contribute it to her emergency go-bag. It was inexpensive and I love that it can serve multiple needs, but it didn't last long or survive a lot of weather or situations.

👤Very small and thin. I hope I don't have to use it soon.

👤It's a perfect size for the bag. If you run across an accident on the road, it's good to have a vehicle for shock victims.

👤You should be dressed with extra layers in the winter and late Autumn. If you need to stay warm in severe weather, this bag will keep you warm and reflect your own body heat back to you.

👤This is a great product. It's easy to carry in my car kit. I recommend this to anyone I talk to. I liked dealing with the seller. Great job!

👤Over the years, I have slept in many different sleeping bags, including Coleman with fleece lining. They were great. I have used this bag 3 times while camping in the Pacific NW forests, and it was bought a year ago for $40 on Amazon. My only complaint is that the "tricot knit lining" acts like Velcro when coming into contact with many plant materials. This debris can easily come loose from your clothing and get embedded in the tricot knit lining. You have a lot of pieces of debris that are very hard to sleep against. Each piece of plant material has to be plucked one at a time, and the piece of plant material usually breaks apart, requiring multiple pluckings. I would rather sleep in a bag with my crackers in it. It took over an hour and a half to remove all the fragments. I tried to run through the washing machine and it didn't help in removing the debris. If not used in a forest setting, this bag would work out well in other areas of design and comfort. I'm not sure what the engineers were thinking when they used tricot knit lining, and they didn't do field tests in the Pacific NW. There is a reason that Amazon has discounted the bag. Completely useless to me.

👤It is great for cold weather. The tip our trekking guide gave us completely changed my experience. When you get into your tent, take your clothes off because the bags work with your own body heat. I felt like my feet were going to fall off the first night I was on Mount Roraima because I wore pijamas and two socks. After he told us this, I had to take off the blanket because I felt it was getting too warm, and I slept with nothing but my underwear on. I was warm and comfortable inside when I had to go out. The only downside is that it is big and it was hard for me to carry it on my back. I only took the essentials, but it still added a lot of pain. I still don't regret taking it with me because my trekking friends complained about not getting good sleep because of the cold. My guides told me to leave it in the camp because it was too heavy, but for me, it was worth it.

👤I was very excited after reading the reviews of the sleeping bag. Everyone said it felt like flannel. Let me tell you that was a lie. It is the worst fabric for people with dry skin. The sound of my husband's hands on the chalkboard is very loud. Just get after it! This is not flannel. Do not fall for it. I kept pulling the plastic pieces out when I was testing it. It's like plastic hairs poking through, like down feathers. I will attach a picture. It's incredibly uncomfortable.

👤I used it for a temp of 30-40F. The bag was new and shiny. It was easy to put on. Pros 35F temp and comfortable make it easy to sleep. The bag has a zip. It's good for its weight and can be used as a comforter or attach another bag to double its size, but bulky and hard to roll back for storage, it's ok if you don't intend to repack it often.

Brand: Dibbatu

👤I got inside the bag. Within a minute. The price for 4 bags is great. They smell funky. In a survival situation, that will be the last thing on your mind.

👤They were purchased to help homeless youth. They were sleeping in the woods in Milwaukee. I bought these for them. I haven't used these myself so I can't give more information.

👤Not what was shown in the picture. This product is 1 ply of mylar with orange color on the outside and shiny on the inside. The photo of the item clearly shows a woman in the bag and it is thick enough to stand on its own. That is not a product. This is a basic mylar sleeping bag with orange on one side and an included travel bag, which is not needed because it is so thin it will probably be an emergency use only.

👤I was excited to get this bag because it said "residual" I opened the package to see it. I like to know what I'm putting in my pack so I can decide if it's worth it. I was thinking that I could have gotten this bag from Walmart. I'm small. 135 lbs. is 5' 4" The bag was large and I could feel it was warm. I noticed it had a tear when I folded it back up. I didn't know what to say. No shoes and standing on the carpet. I wouldn't want to depend on this item if I were hiking in an emergency.

👤I bought these for my husband and I to have in case we get stranded or lost somewhere, especially when we don't have cell service or when we do cooler weather hikes. They are small and light, so we don't notice the extra weight. I got them for the purpose I was looking for and they seem to be good quality. They are perfect for our needs since they weigh a fraction of what a normal sleeping bag does and take up a tiny amount of space. I don't know if they're re-usable yet, but they seem well made and like they'd work as needed. I like that they each have a bag included to keep them contained and that it is a bright color that is easy to find in a backpack to help stay organized and to keep them from being punctured. I like being prepared for the unexpected and these work perfectly for that. These are great for keeping in a car for emergencies or in bug out bags for disasters.

👤It seemed to be a good quality. I was going to get a 2 pack but decided to buy a 4 pack. I will keep one in my bag and my wife's vehicle.

👤I'm donating to St. Francis House, but I won't be climbing into a bag. I liked these bags and will buy them again. I received a small bag to put the sleeping bag in. Very nice. With winter almost here, we wanted to donate these bags and mylar blankets, as well as heavy duty tarps and flashlights, to St Francis House. We are blessed to be able to give.

👤I fit in this bag with enough room to spare, I'm 6' and 250 lbs. If I lay down, standing up covers my shoulders and I can bend my knees a little. I can cover my head. If you are going to lay down, you need to insulate yourself from the ground in a place like this, because it is very windy and raining. If you were careful, it would probably last a couple nights. The mylar bags are just a little more bulk. Duct/packing tape is a good idea in your emergency kit. I'm assuming that if you spend hours inside it you will end up wet from condensation build up, as it's essentially a plastic bag, but I was not in it for that long. Under idea circumstances, the indoors have a clean wood floor. I was able to get it back into it's little bag after rolling it back up. I didn't attempt it, but I think you could. The little mylar emergency blankets have been upgraded.

👤I was able to give this a try in the cold desert air late at night because I didn't have the means to test it out in the great outdoors. The ground was bone-piercingly iciness, and the wind was going strong. I was skeptical of the little thing being able to provide much heat, but when I got it unfolded and crawled inside, I was very convinced. It was a little on the small side for a person like myself, but you have to do it in an emergency. I could see myself using this in a non-simulated life-or-death scenario because it insulated me from both the ground and the outside air. That may be my imagination. The product worked as advertised. I only knocked off points for the slightly smaller size and the way it feels. I was worried that I would have to kick a hole through it while I was sleeping.

👤I bought this for my survival kit when I go hunting. The guide had everything. I started assembling a survival kit after I got home. I researched emergency sleeping bags that don't take up a lot of space in your pack and do the job. This met my requirements. Do yourself a favor, don't put your life in the hands of a guide if he doesn't have the equipment to keep you alive. Chances are he doesn't. My last guide didn't have a sat phone or a personal locator device, so I'll have one on my next trip. We made it back to his truck after he broke a few ribs in an atv accident. The fringe of our camp had been visited by a grizzled animal. We hunted around a lake. He had no safety equipment for an emergency. I hope I never have to, but I do want to return home vertical, and I haven't tried this yet. I'll have a well equiped survival kit with this life bivy in it. Good luck and safe hunting.

👤The sleeping bag was in a vacuum sealed bag which made it easy to store until I needed to use it. The sleeping bag was not much bigger after opening the sealed plastic wrap. I have used it for camping and backpacking trips. It kept me warm. I was surprised that I didn't get cold when I used my sleeping bag. The bag is practical. The bag comes in a stuff bag, which means you don't have to worry about rolling the bag tightly to put the sleeping bag into the stuff bag. The stuff bag has straps that make it easy to attach to a backpack. I think the sleeping bag is great for people that are shorter. I was able to open the sleeping bag at the feet to keep my feet cool. The bag is rated for 20 degrees and I slept in 0 degree. The sleeping bag may be too small for taller people. I call the sleeping bag a mummy sleeping bag. It might be difficult to take the bag in and out of the stuff bag because the straps are in the way. I would recommend this sleeping bag to friends and family. The bag is easy to carry and it is practical. It is a really good bag for the price, compared to other bags. If you have the money and are tall, I suggest you go for a bag that has a negative degree bag that has multiple zippers to control the heat. If you are on a budget, and you want a sleeping bag that is easy to pack and carry, then this sleeping bag is a great fit.

👤The sleeping bag is cold. I bought a mummy bag. I knew it was going to be cold when I went camping with my son. I was surprised by the weather. I froze the first night. I was not a happy camper and my toes were numb. I think so. It was my fault. It's snug because I'm a bigger guy at 5 feet, 260 pounds. Before we went camping, I didn't check the sleeping bag. I didn't know how important the strap and drawstring was. I would move around in my sleep and the bag would open to my waist. I'd wake up and wash it. I realized what I was doing wrong the next day after I took a look at it. I used the strap and the bag at the same time. I had to take my socks off because my feet were warm. When my other kids need sleeping bags, I know where to go because I have a purchase of my own.

👤I'm confused about buying sleeping bags on Amazon because the information is incorrect. I ordered this because it was advertised as a 4 season sleeping bag, but it isn't! The compression bag has a paper label on it. The sleeping bag that I got was labeled with a temperature of 7-15 degrees CELSIUS, which is actually 44F to 59F, so don't buy it, it won't keep you warm.

Brand: Go Time Gear

👤I used this one time while camping last week and it did a good job of keeping me warm when my sleeping bag wasn't enough, but what's up with the reflective silver inside peeling off? I'm not sure if I got a bad bag or not. I can see it now. Not impressed to be honest. I thought it would hold up for a while. I took a photo and attached it to my review so that you can see what I am saying. The seller didn't respond to my email or respond to my complaint so I am going from 2 stars to 1 and wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. The trash bag has become trash itself.

👤This item is marketed as an "emergency survival gear" and the ratings are quite surprising. I took it with me on the ice fishing trip. I let my son use my canvas bivi while we slept. I ordered some camping gear and saw this item and decided to try it out. It's not a bivy. It's a very large blanket. The item's use as a bivy proved disastrous as my sleeping bag ripped through it. I wouldn't bet my life on a picture of it being used to make a tent. It serves a purpose in an emergency if it's $20 Mylar. I'm giving this item one star because I would never use it as a bivy again.

👤I used this for the first time on a kayaking trip with my brother, and we slept in hammocks. It was pouring rain and we were only laying on them, but the bag worked better after we got cold, so we got inside. I was big for my size. I would recommend this bag for a number of reasons, one being that it is small and compact and takes up very little space, two it works at keeping you warm and repels water, and third it's pretty durable and held up great. I can get another 20 plus uses out of it and 4 for the price, it's a great deal.

👤The product is very small, but it can fit around me with additional room. I am six foot two inches tall and weigh about 300 pounds. I was worried that it would not be easy to put back into the bag. I put it back into the bag and didn't have a problem. We bought 4 so we could have one for each of us. I bought it and I don't regret it.

👤The purchase of my bug out bag is the worst so far. It ripped as it was being taken out of its bag. The bag is more durable than the bivy. The product was disappointing.

👤I bought the Live Bivy emergency sleeping bag as a back up because I wouldn't need it during my trip. The temperature at night was not keeping me warm and my sleeping bag was not keeping me warm. I pulled the Life Bivy out of its package and put it on top of my sleeping bag. I felt warm immediately. It was nice to be able to sleep. Don't buy a sleeping bag that promises to work at low temperatures.

👤The bag is great for wet environments. I have been camping for 7 years and this is the best one. I've taken this out a few times and it works great. I got warm on a few overnight trips. The synthetic material dries quickly. It fit in the bottom of my 65L trekking bag, I loved the color and how compact it was. I prefer this to a bag that gets ruined by snow. Backpackers who don't want to shell out a lot of money for gear can find this sleeping bag to be a gem. I am very happy with this sleeping bag, and I am more than happy with the price. I will be loving it and keeping it. You can't buy anything better for the price.

👤The son was purchased for winter camping. The temperature dropped to 11 degrees when he used it. He says he was warm all night. The bag is a bit heavy to carry in his backpack, but it did the job. It was worth it.

👤I ordered 2 different bags. The orange bag is not as good as the blue bag. The material is cheap and not durable. I have to decide if I keep the two I ordered or send them back out of principle. The blue bag we used on the camping and canoeing trip was better than the orange one, but it was still less quality. We were very comfortable in the 40s. If you want a solid construction and need to order more than one, you don't want to get 2 of the same quality.

👤Very nice! Since my daughter and I started going camping last year, I've bought sleeping bags for four times. The quality of this brand is similar to the other brands. It is light and compact, perfect for our backpacks. I always use an extra fleece blanket to keep me warm when we are doing cold temperatures, and the sleeping bag seems to be just right.

👤The sleeping bag kept me warm in 35 degrees and it was fully closed around my face. I had a sleeping bag liner, a wool base layer and fleece pajamas. I attached it to the outside of my pack because it is too big for backpacking. I had to put it in a separate backpack for plane travel.

👤They sent me a blue bag after I ordered the orange one. The idea was not to get shot by hunters while sleeping. The orange hammock I ordered arrived orange. I'll be taking this sleeping bag up into the mountains in October and I'll let you know how warm it was or not. The bag is loose and doesn't look like the tightly sealed bag in the photos. The foot of the bag is narrow and the bag is square and wide like a sleeping bag. I guess, more foot room. I'll be back on Oct 19th with a full review. It rained the whole time I was in the mountains, and all the waterproof clothing I bought through Amazon failed. I was soaked to the bone by the time I stopped hiking. I was sleeping in my boots. I put a sleeping bag in a tree hammock and set up a tarp between two trees in the rain. I had to take off all my clothes and put them in this bag. I wrapped it in plastic before hiking and it was the only dry item I had. I slept through the night and it was not cold. It was about 35-40 degrees at night. I was a little wet when I got in the bag, but it did what I hoped it would do, it was a little thin. Next time I will use this bag.

👤I was stranded alone in the desert all night long with coyotes running around my car, and one window was stuck down with just a tarp over it, while my husband walked over ten miles for help, and if I had not had a foil blanket, I would have had cold. I ordered one for each of us, plus a spare, so that we would be comfortable next time. I put them in the bag.

👤I found the blankets to be warm for their weight and easy to re-pack, as I folded mine into a strip and finished with a half roll. I was standing in 40 degree weather with the bag on and went from cold to warm in about 10 minutes. It was too warm to sleep in. I am not sure how one would make a tent out of a poncho unless it was cut up, but that's not really the purpose of the item. This is already a bag and I like that. It's easier to use it efficiently than to keep drafts out. The orange is a great color for signaling. The value is. It's a good deal to get two of these for the price. The bag cannot be used as a hood without me curling up, I am 5' 10" and the bag comes up to the top of my head. It's nearly long enough to seal me in, but not to see if I tried to cover my head. DURABILITY. I didn't stress test these, but I did notice some stretch marks on the one I tested out, which were discolored. I don't think this affected the performance, but I am not sure what caused it. I bought them for emergency bags. I kept the overall rating high while giving the durability rating a moderate score.

👤I bought them for an emergency. I could not pass these up for this price. I did a video review to make sure the sleeping bags worked. They are wind and rain proof. I'm 200 lbs. There is a lot of room inside the bags. They are not as loud as other emergency bags. They are covered in a rubber plastic which makes them quiet down. I will definitely order more gifts for my friends outside.

👤It's big enough for me at 6'2" 230 lbs.

👤Don't buy this, it's trash. They took mylar blanket and made it look like a sleeping bag. 2 of these are for about 15 dollars. I did not have a sharp object, but it was easy to rip at home. It is not possible to put it back, because it is glue on, and you cannot take it apart to use it as a blanket. This is not a good advertisement. Amazon is getting bad quality sellers. The nearest place for me to return is about 30 minutes away. I won't be driving an hour back and forth for 15. Don't buy.

👤This is a great product for the money. It works as it should, and is very well made. It is tough and durable. They have their own bags too.

👤I thought I'd use this to see what it was like. I used this and my sleepwear for insulation and a pillow while I was outside last night. I can't control the weather in California and the temperature was 60F. There are a few things to know about this bag. I was warm first. I was wet. This is a mylar bag with a silver interior and orange exterior. The mylar bag is not air-tight. Your body emits small amounts of water when not sweating. After an hour and a half there was a layer of water on the inside of the bag, so it felt wet everywhere I touched it. You will need to air it out after using it. You will need to wrap yourself around yourself to retain heat because this doesn't have any means of closing the opening. It takes a lot of patience to get the mylar bag to fit into the nylon holding bag, even though it is a reuse. Your body makes a lot of noise. You'll stay warmer if you wear a hat. The bag is tough. It will take some abuse, but branches will rip it open quickly. The tape seems to be tight.

👤I tried it out in 60 degrees. It worked. I live in the North woods and it was during the -60 F polar vortex. I wore only sweat pants and a shirt. I was very comfortable, warm, not cold, and could have stood outside for hours if I had not pulled the survival sleep bag over me. I had no cold at all and would have survived. The sleeping bag was big and roomy. It was draped over me so that it was not touching my body, but if I pulled the bag around my body as you would wrap yourself in a towel, it was warm. If you put this on yourself and coat it, you would be fine. I was warmer with the sleep bag draped over me than I was when I was outside in the cold with a coat. I think the bag is great, and having tested out the bag the way I did, proved to me that it really does work, and a person could survive such extreme conditions using the survival bag with just simply wearing their clothes and no coat hat or gloves. This is a must have for survival.

👤I didn't want to leave a review in either direction as I haven't been able to open it yet. I don't like to leave unfair or biased reviews so I'm keeping my review at a 5 star. I will adjust the stars once I am able to use it. The product is a great addition to the bag or survival kit and should stay 5 stars. I've been adding survival gear to a storage container for a few years. I add gear that could be useful when I find it. It's not possible for me to feel the pains of spending all at once and before you know it you have a good stock of gear, goods, and supplies.
