1. Mountain House Backpacking Camping 2 Servings

Mountain House Backpacking Camping 2 Servings

Their promise is that these containers are better than any other containers in the market. The pantry organization and storage will be easy. Your investment will be returned if you are not satisfied. A delicious meal! A spicy chili sauce with beef, macaroni noodles, onion, and beans. It is possible to freeze-dried to lock in freshness. There was no need for refrigeration. No artificial flavors or colors are used. Two total serving is contained in the pouch. It's great for one backpacker or a camping buddy. Add hot water to the pouch and eat in less than 10 minutes. The pouch has a bowl-like shape that makes it easier to eat. Don't eat from the dishes! The pouch is lightweight and portable, so you can eat wherever you go. You can eat in your tent. It's great for emergency food storage. TerraCycle uses recycled used packaging to reduce waste. SHELF STABLE is the longest proven shelf life in the industry. A 30-year taste guarantee. It's great for emergency food storage.

Brand: Mountain House

👤The meal is freeze dried. It was good. We will never be able to make this again. We are still in our tent almost two weeks after camping. This won't make you smell like chili. It will give you a serious eye watering smell for almost 3 days. I think it stained my shirring walls with the smell of poop and many other things. It was still coming out smelling like mac and cheese. We had to take our bedding to the laundry mat to wash it before we brought it home. The smell is still there. I can still smell it. I don't know what makes this chile mac different from any other I've had, but something happens in the process to produce the worst stench your body could never have imagined. If you really hate the person you're staying with, skip the ashblast and pick something else. The food is really good.

👤Mountain house just came out with new packaging and they are giving 20% less food per pouch. I would have preferred the price to go up rather than the amount of food. It still tastes good.

👤I didn't think this is a bigger package than I'm used to. I have previously ordered 2.5 Servings, but this is "2 Servings" instead.

👤The Mountain House Chili-Mac exceeded our expectations. I chose the Chili-Mac because I wanted to try some of this food before buying it. I assumed all Emergency Food would be flavoured mush. This isn't the case here. The Chili-Mac had a good flavor and had a little bit of spice to it. I thought the noodles and beans would be soft. Both looked and tasted like they had just been cooked. The helpful observation comes in when you see that the dish has MEAT. We ate the boiling water. We did not stir/simmer long enough to let the water get absorbed into the meat to "un-freeze dry" it. This dish is outstanding because it is a little longer simmering. A+ for Mountain House.

👤It is important to know how many calories this product can contain in order to survive.

👤I bought this to see what it tasted like and decide if I should buy more or not. I was surprised that it tasted good. I am not sure what I was expecting, but it exceeded my expectations. It did not taste like something that could be kept for a long time. It tasted like a meal I could make myself. It was so good that I want to eat more often. I wanted to try it to see if I wanted more. People buy this kind of thing for camping and hiking. It is good to eat at any time. It didn't need any more seasoning. I ordered a bucket of food. I will keep the bucket sealed until the S does something, and then I will order more for other uses, like camping or just whenever I feel like a quick easy meal. The package had a date that I was impressed with. I think it said 25 year shelf life, but mine was almost 30 years.

2. Augason Farms Freeze Pineapple Chunks

Augason Farms Freeze Pineapple Chunks

The gold standard production. Your health and safety are very important to them. Artemisinin is manufactured in the USA in a fully compliant facility with adherence to good manufacturing policies and under the most stringent quality control. You can be sure that you get the best value for your money. All natural and certified to be free of bothGluten-Free and All Natural. It's perfect for food storage, emergencies, survival, and everyday use. A 30 year shelf life is possible.

Brand: Augason Farms

👤I order these at least twice a month. Everything was fine through November. The strawberries in particular had mold growing on them, as the product had a well expired date after that. The pineapple was very heavy. I don't know what happened, but I won't buy them anymore.

👤I received a can of pineapple. The pieces are barely larger than crushed pineapple. The lid fell halfway down when I opened the can. If I'm not careful, I could break a tooth on one of the pieces. I think I'll rehydrate it with pineapple juice.

👤There is a piece of the emergency food storage plan. Keep a variety and put up enough for the people you're willing to feed. Everyone else should get their own food. People like me won't care about you.

👤I opened it and it had a lot of phlegm. The can wasn't even full. Put it in a container. A 1/2 GALLON MASON JAR DIDN't fill it all. The Jar. It looks like CORN, not PINEAPPLE. I was surprised that the # 10 can be full. Did not care for the power that was in the can.

👤These are very good. It says on the tin that it lasts 30 years in storage, but this tin only lasted 20 days as I couldn't stop eating it. It is a great snack. It helps with sweet cravings as I eat these instead of candy or chocolate. I ate it with a ton of dried pineapple. You can also rehydrate it. We used to buy the small packs of 6 at the supermarket for just $7 and had 1/2 cup of pineapples in them. This is a great value because it has 20x the amount in the tin.

👤The pineapple was mistreated in shipping and storage and turned into powder, making it look half full. It must have been thrown around and moved around before I saw it. It won't be enjoyable to eat that way. It is not worth the money.

👤This is the most favorite of all the freeze dried fruits I have tried. If you compare canned pineapple from Walmart to other freeze dried fruit with this, you will get more for your money, but with this, you get more for your money. I will buy more when this is gone.

👤It was a disappointment. The largest pieces were not very large. The can had a lot of dust on it. Most of the pieces were small and had to be sieved. Will not order.

3. Augason Farms 72 Hour 1 Person Emergency

Augason Farms 72 Hour 1 Person Emergency

A 20 year shelf life is possible. 2, 667 calories per day. It is easy to prepare. Just add some water. The shelf life is up to 25 years. The net weight was 4 lbs 0. 97 Z is 84 kilograms. The net weight was 4 lbs 0. 97 Z is 84 kilograms.

Brand: Augason Farms

👤Oh my gosh, so much complaining and whining. 1. If preparing for one person, divide the pouch into portions and only prepare 1 portion at a time. 2. Seal in a baggie or jar by rolling the opened top over. Unreconstituted leftovers are not bad in 3 days. 3. The dishes should be beefed up. Add canned chicken, dried vegetables, noodles, instant rice, lentils, or something similar. 4. Why am I looking at this product? Is it for survival or preparation? Is it for disasters? Thousands of books tell you how to get water, store water, and filter water. Food storage is discussed in the same books. The Forstchen book is a good starting point. 5. If you want to survive bad situations, you need to depend on yourself. Reality doesn't care about who you are. You will probably need to save yourself. Ask people who survived Sandy. 6. Today is a great day to start preparing for an uncertain future. Go to the grocery store and buy a box of rice, a jar of chicken bullion cubes, 3 cans of beans, and 2 cans of meat that you will eat. You can eat soup or casseroles for several days for under $10 now. The rest is on you, so remember. Prepare for the future.

👤The money has an outstanding value. The shelf life is 25 years. If you're in the market for long term food, you found the brand. Remember that in a "hunker down" situation, you're not likely to be in a hurry, so just take your time cooking it. My wife was pleasantly surprised by how decent these were. It would be enjoyable to eat this stuff and not die of starvation. Result, compared to normal food, was not bad at all. Result, considering that this stuff has been completely freeze dried and will last into my retirement.

👤Each entree or product is worth 72 hours for one individual but in a single package, so there are no complaints about this. If you want to use this for 9 meals, you need to open each entree and repackage it into three portions or cook it once and save the leftovers. I was hoping it would be packaged in a way that was convenient.

👤A pack of bananas. One pack of oatmeal says brown sugar, but it doesn't taste like it. The other three packs are just soup. The potato soup tastes good, but you want to add vegetables and meat. White soup is what it is. You have to make a huge pot of soup and store it. The humidity can get to open packs. The other packs were not the same as the banana chips. I will not buy it again. I tried to portion out the chicken and rice for a bowl. I got violently ill after eating it.

👤It was deceptive labeling. It's four big packages. If you're by yourself, you'll need a working refrigerator to keep the leftovers in. If you're buying this for a one person scenario, it's not realistic. I have been through an earthquake and I can tell you that grocery stores and electricity won't be there.

4. Augason Farms Southwest Chili 1 65

Augason Farms Southwest Chili 1 65

A 30 year shelf life is possible. It is certified as being free of the harmful effects of the gluten-free diet. It's perfect for food storage, emergencies, survival, and everyday use. A 10 year shelf life is possible.

Brand: Augason Farms

👤I decided to try this chili for dinner a few nights ago because I have a big family. I was going to make six cups of chili. I added six cups of the chili mix after boiling seven cups of water. It quickly turned into a thick mix after being rehydrated. I had to add at least 3 cups more water to make it thin enough to not burn at the bottom. I noticed the big mylar bag in the can, which held all the seasoning and flavoring, though that wasn't clear in the instructions. I tried it again after the beans were rehydrated. The flavor is bland. I'd be happy to eat it in an emergency situation, but I added more seasoning, diced tomatoes and tomato sauce to make it better. The mix is so thick that it needs more water than was called for. We still have a big pot of chili after everyone has had a bowl. Something about the seasoning mix is sticky. It was in the pot, spoon and inside of my mouth. I added more tomato products and it stopped being a problem.

👤I received this today. I like to eat chili in the fall and winter. I decided to try it out. It is not all that great, but it is right out of the package. It did not have any flavor or taste like chili. Where is the meat, the tomatoes and the hot spices? I realized after I thought about it. This is a good base to make chili from. Everyone has a different taste for chili. Some like it hot and some don't. There are different types of meat that people use. This is a great base to start your own chili. Add whatever you want in your chili. This product can be used by anyone. Some of you will like it in the can and some of you will not. I need some meat in my chili. I like my chili to be a little more spicy so it will clear my nose when I'm outside. My chili has tomatoes and tomato sauce in it. I was going to give this 2 or 3 stars, but after a lot of thought I have decided on a 4 star rating. I gave it a rating because I think it has potential. I'm not one of the people who will like it the way it is. I will use this as a base for my next batches and then update this review. If you like this, then just bring the water you need. Hikers like to cook quickly and easily. If you need more in your chili, just prepare it before you go hiking. Put it in a bag. It should last longer in your pack if you cook it already. The home pepper is more likely to use this product than the backpacker. It can be done. Augason makes a lot of other products, like onions, tomatoes, meats, and cheese. If you want to have this chili as a meal, you have to carry a certain amount.

Brand: Augason Farms

👤Half of my emergency food comes from Amazon. One can of rice in the order was fine, the other had large dents in it, which is problematic for 25 years in disaster planning. This happened on 6 orders. You have to decide if it's worth the trouble or if you have a local option.

👤It's worth the money to fix. My children gave it a thumbs up.

👤I got these when they were on sale. They're pretty good. I keep them in the pantry in case of a disaster.

👤Will throw any bird game you can at it. I got a prep shelf. Will order more.

👤I have a lot of Augason cans in my food cache. They are on the rack with an inventory sheet taped to it. I have an inventory of food for 35 years. Augason is the food I prepare for a long time.

👤It is not a 5 star restaurant dish and has a shelf life you can't compare if left sealed.

👤My wife tried it and loved it, it was very easy to make.

The bottle weight is approximately 1.8 pound. The dimensions are 7.5 x W 5 x D. The bottle weight is approximately 1.8 pound. The dimensions are 7.5 x W 5 x D.

Brand: The Survival Tabs

👤How many tabs do you have? More like 180 and won't answer my messages.

👤I received one of the containers. For one container, it's $150. Hope you correct the mistake.

👤The description says there are 4 bottles. I received 3 bottles and 540 tabs. I was going to buy more if I liked these, because it's a simple way to prepare for emergencies and it has a long shelf life, but I was shorted an entire bottle.

👤This will be a great back up for any emergency. Natural disasters, stranded somewhere, or anything else can happen in this day and age. I laughed at a reviewer who was complaining about the daily calories. Something is better than nothing in an emergency. It's not a gourmet meal, but it's a great back-up for either nothing or filling in on limited food choices you may have in your pantry, as well as being a great way to meet your daily calories intake. In an emergency, you will have to use what you have on hand, and this is just another reassurance you can have somewhere in your home, or even take while camping for weeks on end in the middle of no where! This is a great addition to anyone who cares about preparing for an emergency, or just doesn't want to be taken by surprise in the event of an emergency. The Red Cross believes in a few days of preparation. Does it matter how it tastes if you are desperate?

👤Not bad. I tried a few. I can't say the flavor is exactly as described, but I can see how they'll help you feel like you've eaten something, even if you don't have vitamins or minerals.

👤I bought these for a worst case scenario to have the key minerals and ingredients. For 15 days, each container has 100 percent of your key nutrients. It's definitely expensive but it's cheaper than freeze dried food as I have quite a few of these and ramen for pure empty calories. I think they taste really good. It's a key component to any survivalist.

👤If this keeps 25 years, I think you'd need more than that to survive, but it works for me. They tasted really good when I tried them. You would need about 3 times the ration per day. They don't take a lot of space. I'll buy a few.

👤I only received a 30 day supply of survival tabs after ordering a 60 day supply. I paid 158 dollars for a 60 day supply.

👤Good product. It took a long time to get here. Canada customs is to blame for that.

7. Augason Farms Freeze Dried Blueberries

Augason Farms Freeze Dried Blueberries

All natural and certified to be free of bothGluten-Free and All Natural. It's perfect for food storage, emergencies, survival, and everyday use. A 30 year shelf life is possible. A 30 year shelf life is possible.

Brand: Augason Farms

👤I have purchased this product before, but this time I am not so happy. I tried to return the can to Amazon after I noticed a manufacturing defect. I don't know why Amazon won't process the return. I sent Augason Farms a message with all of the details, but they didn't reply. I am not a happy customer, but I am normal and easy to please. I own my own business and wouldn't allow this type of service from my company. Hope they see this and make changes.

👤I opened the can about 3.5 months ago to do the tests. I put them on my cereals occasionally. The Q&A section of the website had reviews that said the berries could last up to a year after opening. I noticed that the remaining berries were sticking together and felt a bit gummy by 3 months. I think the can was getting wet when I opened it. The berries seem to have held up, but I don't think the remaining ones will be as good in a few months. A can of strawberries was the same as the one that occurred with an identical situation. They are no longer crisp. The freeze-dried berries need to be eaten within a couple of months of opening. The weight of the blueberries I received was just over the specified weight, and that's important. I got what I paid for. The can is 21 ounces. The can and lid is small. I can tell in the future if I got the correct 12oz. Without having to open the can. The can was almost full. The can was full of fruit. The number of serving is second. I measured out 13 grams, or 1/2 cup, of berries that were supposed to be equal to one serving. 13 grams equaled 1/2 cup. I got 25 1/3 from the berries. The missing serving could be due to one or two extra berries in the other cups. Since I got the 12 ounces, I won't argue over the slight "shortage." The quality is third. The berry tasted good. They had a fairly sweet taste, just a little sour, as you would expect from the fruit. The taste was different from fresh fruit. They are very hard when dry. They are squishy when rehydrated. They don't have the firmness of fresh fruit. That should be expected. They are not as big as they should be, but they were still good-sized even when dry. The color of the fruit was expected to be blue. The outer skin on some of them was white, but when I looked closely, these were where the skin had peeled off. I don't think there is anything wrong with them. I followed the instructions on the label to rehydrate some of the berries. I left them in the water to make sure they were hydrated. Only a small portion of the 1 cup of water was absorbed. There was some water left over. One person estimated that the rehydrated berries would be equal to 6.5 quarts. The rehydrated berries were the same volume as the dried ones. The rehydrated berries would be about a half a cup in volume. You might get similar numbers of berries. I counted fresh and dry berries in a 1/2 cup. The fresh berries weighed 2.5 ounces while the rehydrated ones weighed 2 ounces. Rehydration is not required. If you have a taste for the fruit, they can be eaten straight from the can. I have a lot of blueberries and add them to my cereals. The cost is next. The berries cost between $32.65 and $2.80/ounce. If we assume that the 12 ounces of berries were roughly equivalent to 6 pints, then the cost is $5.61/pint. I bought a quart of fresh fruit for $3.29 the other day. I usually pay less than $3.50 for a drink. I have only paid for a small amount of beer. I bought two different kinds of dried blueberries at an "organic" store. A carton costs $1.66/ounce while a bag costs $. 73/ounce. The two packages had 14 ounces. If you can find them, you can get them at a cheaper price. The best by dates are a few months away. They are for current use and not long-term storage. We pay the extra cost to be able to store the blueberries for an extended period of time for emergencies. I would buy these again for that contingency. I will need to eat them in the next few months after opening the can. If I had access to dried berries at the grocery store, I wouldn't buy these for regular or daily use. Handling the dried fruit may make your fingers blue. Some people think that if they get a large can, they should get a lot of fruit. The picture clearly shows that the net weight is 12 ounces. It is supposed to be. I'm not sure why they chose 12 oz., but a check of other vendors shows that they also put only 10-13 ounces of berries in their containers. Augason would charge more for the berries if they put more in the can. The more berries, the higher the cost. I know how long it takes because I've picked the fruit. The #10 can is a standard size can used by many manufacturers who sell long-shelf-life food products. It is cheaper to use one size can. I have a lot of cans with products. 12 ounces might be enough to fill a small portion of the can. It was most of the can in my case. If someone got less than 1/3 of a can full, they might question the amount. You have to go by weight.

Brand: Chef's Path

👤The containers were stuck together. They are difficult to separate from. The trick was to put the containers in the freezer for a few minutes and then separate them. Cheers!

👤I received them yesterday. After trying to get them apart. I washed and dried them. I use them to store flour. I needed more storage for my bread flour and whole wheat flour. The perfect size is these. I wanted something with more storage capacity because they are too large for my baking cabinet. The bread flour has a 5# bag in it and the whole wheat is almost all a 10# bag. I like the little stickers on the container. I won't be using them for liquids if they are leak proof. I can't ever have enough of the additional measuring cups. The lids are very tight and seem to be good for flour.

👤A bag of sugar was not found the other day. They only had a 25lb bag and it was a great price. Something to hold it in. These are great! They have great lids with four snap clasps which hold them firmly in place. Recommended!

👤I already had four large containers, so I got two more large to match. The other 4 containers were difficult to separate, but these 2 were almost impossible. I was ready to give up and return them after spending over two hours trying different methods, including ice water and a hair dryer, air duster and air compressor. I was going to write a negative review about this, but I noticed a different method in someone's review. I emptied a quarter of my freezer to make room for the containers. I looked after 10 minutes. Nothing. I checked after 20 minutes. There is still nothing. I kept them under running hot water for at least 5 minutes after getting them in the sink. I was able to separate them. Even though I will use the containers and they will most likely serve me well, I wasted over two hours of my time fixing a problem that shouldn't exist and spent $13 on something else. Chief's Path did nothing to address the issue that customers were complaining about. They only had to use a sheet of paper to separate the containers. This shows disrespect for other people. Next time, I'll shop somewhere else.

👤I have canisters to keep my sugar from getting hard. I used one for light brown and one for dark brown. They are perfect. I ordered another set of flour and sugar. I've been trying to organize my kitchen during the Pandemic and these have worked out perfectly. I love them!

👤These extra tall containers replaced the Oxo containers. The Oxo's lids break after multiple uses. The containers have a secure top. The measuring cups that came with the labels were an added bonus. The value is great.

👤I found these to be very difficult to organize and keep protected in my pantry, so I bought them. These hold the bags. I was concerned about the clips on the lid, but they are strong. There is a black seal in the lid. I will order more. The measuring cups that came with the set are adorable.

9. Augason Farms Grain Emergency Storage

Augason Farms Grain Emergency Storage

A 30 year shelf life is possible. It is certified as being free of thegluten It's perfect for food storage, emergencies, survival, and everyday use. A 7 year shelf life is possible.

Brand: Augason Farms

👤There was a hole in the container. The manufacturer is probably not to blame. This rice appears to be grown in the USA, but there is no indication of where in the USA it was grown. Only rice grown in California is safe to eat in the USA. Rice grown in the southern states has high levels of arsenic due to the use of pesticides. Rice picks up arsenic more than most plants because it stays in the ground for a long time. White rice contains less than brown rice. If you plan on using this brown rice as a main staple of food, be aware that it may be giving you a dose of arsenic poisoning. If you want to minimize the arsenic risk with brown rice, you must cook it in 1 cup of rice to 6 cups of water. The arsenic content of the rice is reduced.

👤I have bought this before. The first time was a year ago. The rice tasted great and it came on time. I decided to order it again. They were trying to sell it for more than $100. I think it was the time when people were worried about a food shortage. I waited until they had more in stock, and the price dropped to about $50. When I got my rice, there were some shells at the top. I made a pot of rice because I didn't think much of it. The rice was full of rice. I had rice shells in my mouth. The rice was not good. The replacement came in after I exchanged with Amazon. The rice was inedible because it had shells. I was not happy. The company decided to meet demand by increasing production speed and relaxing quality control. I would check the rice you ordered from them. I think they assumed that most people who buy this rice are peppers who don't open the container until many years later, so they would have to wait for refunds or anything. If you bought rice from them this year, please open your container and look for the shells. All my food was inedible.

👤There was a shipping box full of rice dripping out of the seams that was laid on the side of a horizontal box. The item container was contaminated with dirt, dust, and grime, so it was not possible to save it. The grains were long and uniform, and seemed like they would have been good if not for the weather. The doorbell video shows the driver dropping the package on the porch in frustration, but he found rice grains all the way back to the street. Returned, but re-ordered based on what I could evaluate. I will update the review if the replacement is in better shape. The replacement arrived intact and in good shape, with plenty of shelf life remaining.

👤I ordered this twice before and was very happy with it. I ordered this after the run on toiletpaper and survival food and it has bugs in it, but we have been able to wash it and still eat it, but if it happens again I will not order again. It is supposed to be a long-term survival food.

10. Ultimate Survival Technologies Emergency Rations

Ultimate Survival Technologies Emergency Rations

Also, note: When the oxygen has been removed, bags may not shrink like vacuum bags. Absorbers only absorb 21% of the air, which is oxygen. The air volume will be gone about 1/3 of the time. The apple-cinnamon flavor is pleasant. It is easy to store an optimal balance of cholesterol and vitamins. Each bar can be eaten in six portions with a total of 2400 calories.

Brand: Ultimate Survival Technologies

👤You should ignore anyone who reviews this on the basis of how it tastes. This is not a camping or hiking snack. When you find yourself trapped in the wilderness or in your own home after a disaster, survival ration tastes bland or bad to discourage excessive eating. These taste ok. It was kind of a cinnamon shortbread. For its intended use, texture and quality are fine. I have received 6 of these packages so far and all of them have been sealed perfectly. I put a second layer of vacuum plastic over my survival food to protect it from accidental puncturing and to extend its lifespan. If you get any that have a vacuum loss, just eat it or throw it away. Poor handling in transit or a minor factory defect are the reasons why they're not worth a 1 star review. The calories come out to $.001 per calories. I've been searching for and buying long term storage emergency ration for over a decade and never have I found a better price in the market. Put these in a box in the back of a closet and then buy a bunch of canned and dry foods for your "shtf" meals. These calories are not a meal replacement. To make sure you're getting something resembling real sustenance, keep a bottle of multi vitamins, a few gallons of water, and a couple pounds of freeze dried potatoes or rice nearby. I'm up to 15. I haven't had a single issue with them losing vacuum. Don't let bad luck deter you from purchasing these. If you keep buying these low cost alternatives, the price gougers will start lowering their prices.

👤It appears to be a single pack.

👤The product is not accurate. One pack is not 4 days of food, but one day of food. This product has a shelf life of 5 years and will last 2 years. I am angry with the seller for misrepresenting the product. I would love to have my money back. I could shop locally and find a better deal.

👤We thought we were getting a box of four, not one bar. The image showed four. Since that time, it has changed. The price for 4 seems reasonable. The cost for one is out of line. The product was useless because of the broken vacuum seal. The bars are good for emergency food. We've bought them from local retailers before. The experience of this seller was not great.

👤I ordered 8 boxes and got 8 bars that were not a good value and the bars were good but not at this price.

👤The vacuum seal wasn't intact. The company uses an illustration that shows 4 packages. Caveat emptor is not for purchase.

👤Any type of emergency food is very expensive. These single packs are also selling other places for $20+ each. Also. For $5, you get 2400 calories and a 5 year shelf life, which is a good deal for something that you can just open and eat. You can get these from Wal-mart for five cents cheaper than Amazon will charge, but you have to order four of them. It's a very dense bread type bar. More powdery than bread, like gingerbread. It tastes like a sweet dessert with a hint of cinnamon. It's not something I'd go out of my way to snack on, but it tastes good and is similar to a dense bar. It doesn't taste bad like other emergency ration bars that taste like chemicals or gross. There are some that are my favorite for taste and price. It's worth $5 to have a car glove box and all your backpacks. Just in case. If you break it into the six 400 calories sections, you'll get one of these.

11. Augason Farms Pinto Beans Lbs

Augason Farms Pinto Beans Lbs

You can check out the complete line of seasoned rice dinners. It's perfect for everyday use and emergencies. shelf life can be up to 30 years.

Brand: Augason Farms

👤I buy a lot of Augason Farms products. I break into them and use them for camping, boating, and other things. Backpacker meals can be made for a fraction of the cost of other brands by combining ingredients and adding hot water, because almost all of the products are pre-cooked and freeze dried. The beans are an exception. They are not cooked, so they take a long time to cook. They cost more than store-bought beans. If the power is out and fuel is limited, are you going to add the rest of your food or cook your beans for 2 hours? The can doesn't claim they're cooked, just that they're dried. Let the buyer beware.

👤I ordered two cans of beans and one was damaged. They were in the same box. The food seal was broken, the plastic lid was sliced, and the top was bulging, as shown in the pictures. The can was returned for a new one.

👤It's great for prepping and long term storage.

👤These beans have been ordered many times by me. The beans are great and the price is not bad. The can is great for storage.

👤I have found the best beans. Being in the canister keeps them fresh.

👤They are a great buy if you are too lazy to vacuum seal your own. A must have for emergency supplies.

👤It's a staple in case of food storage. Having this stored away makes me feel better.
