Fresh onions have a distinctive taste and texture, but Chef's Cut Onions have a similar taste and texture. Chef's Cut Onions are carefully inspected, cleaned and cut before entering a dehydration process for exceptional quality. Chef's Cut Onions feature larger cut slices. They provide a dry storage option that saves time and is convenient. Chef's Cut Onions have a longer shelf life than fresh. They are great to use in place of fresh cut onion in dishes like soups, stew and meat loaves, as well as a topping for burgers and hot dogs. The code on the product can be checked to see if it's expired. The first digit is the last digit of the year and the last 3 digits are the day of the year. The date code is modified. The 195th day of 2020 was produced. The product has a shelf life of 2 years. The production date of this product is July 14, 2020 and theBBD is July 14, 2022.
👤The package has no best buy date. The carton I purchased was manufactured in the year of 2014) and expired in the year of 2016 and I called the company to find out if they could find a new one. The product I bought was not safe for consumption.
👤Excellent product! I use onions in a lot of my cooking and these are the dries ones that are perfect for me. I save a lot of money buying dried over fresh. I'm not throwing away spoiled onions. They're easy to use and have good flavor. I put mine into a glass canister with an airtight lid because they come in a paper carton. I recommend these onions. Smaller jars are great for camping and travel. Their taste is outstanding. They're just as good when rehydrated. It's useful in many recipes. Highly recommend!
👤The package arrived intact but you can smell the onions before opening it, not sure how the driver managed this in the delivery vehicle. Transferring these out of the carton will make them smell bad. The odor problem was solved when the contents were transferred into a couple jars. Product works well when cooking. If you don't use a lot of onions, consider splitting it with someone else. The value is great.
👤I didn't find that the amount of dried onions in this container was too much. I use the same amount of dried onion as I would fresh onion, so I appreciate the amount. I was making a recipe that called for one cup of chopped onions. I rehydrated because cooking time was short. I would just add onions to the soup and not bother with rehydration. I trust the brand and have no complaints about it.
👤This is half the price for the same onion flavor as I used to get. It's possible to use it as a seasoning or a more substantial part of the dish. I put it into some containers that were sealed and the smell of the rest of the items in the box was gone. If you don't like the smell of onions, you can order it by itself. I don't want to take any points off for that. This will be on the list whenever I run out.
👤I like the taste of dehydrated onions. They are used in soups and casseroles. I usually rehydrate them in water for a few minutes. No more tears! This is the most cost effective way to buy onions. I put them in quart jars with tight fitting lids for better storage.
👤I couldn't find bulk onions at the store so I bought this. I am happy with the flavor and quality. I will consider what other items I order with next time since the packaging was not impermeable and the onion smell left on the other items in the same shipment. Will be buying again.
👤I laughed at my husband when he saw this. 3 lbs is a lot. If you are like my family and go through onion flakes quickly, it's worth it! My husband puts onions in everything. This is definitely worth it with all the numbers crunched. I can refill my canister in my pantry for less than I would spend at the store.
TruRoots Organic Quick Cook Olive Oil and Sea Salt Quinoa, Brown Rice and Lentil Blend are contained in 8- 8.5 Ounce Microwavable Pouches. A blend of organic andGluten-free grain provides 8 grams of nutrition and 7 grams of fiber per serving. Microwaves can be prepared in just 60 seconds. Adding hearty quinoa, brown rice, and lentil blend to a meal is a delicious addition. For a quick and delicious grain salad, combine with berries and Feta cheese.
👤I can get three meals from this. It's easy to add a bit of salsa, add a third of it onto a piece of bread and have three meals. I like to eat healthy, but I don't like to buy all the ingredients and cook for myself. The ingredients, the organic, non-gmo and the great mix of quinoa, rice and lentils, olive oil and sea salt are all wonderful. If you want to add your own spices, this is the best because it's pretty bland. Spanish Blanch has some great spices. I can add a bit of shredded cheese and/or salsa to my food. Really like this one. I ate it as is, even though I was going to add things to it, but it was so delicious that I didn't mind. It's kind of like cooking rice with nothing added, but it's moist, so I expected it to have more of an oil feel. It was a little bit of a surprise, but I am fine with that. I ate the whole packet as I was just going to try it on my own. It was a good size for one. I had something else to eat with it and it was two serving. CONVENIENCE - DING! I have been looking for something. The convenience of just microwaving makes healthy, clean ingredients possible. I'm turning 70 and I just cook for myself and don't want to have to purchase and prepare all the ingredients, just want them there! This will be a daily occurrence for me. I got this for about six bucks as I had a credit. If I had to pay full price, I wouldn't have tried it for the first time. The price is definitely worth it, I can get a total of 3 meals from one packet. It's not a big thing to you, but you loved the packaging! I removed the top lid of the box because it looked so good. I keep it on my counter so I can keep other items, like packets of tuna, on my counter. Even though Five Stars could use some spices, they would rather have it like that. It's perfect to add, well, just about anything. The ingredients and nutrition are great.
👤An organic, plant based meal that I don't have to slave over! This is the first time in years that I can look forward to eating and I have been dealing with Irritable Irritable Stool Symptoms for years. The flavor is very tasty and easy to make, and if you like salty food, it's good. It's a great base for any veggies you want to add, and it's easy to get down when I'm having a bad flare. I love cooking with sweet potatoes and garlic on the stove. I've been saving a bit of money eating these for dinner everyday and to top it all off, I lost a couple pounds!
👤The quality of the product is not the reason for the negative reviews. You will not like this if you don't like brown rice, quinoa, and lentils. This is an easy to store and quick to make pouch that has a good taste and texture. This is a more versatile product because it doesn't have any additional flavors other than olive oil and salt. The amount of salt is not a problem. If it is the bulk of the meal rather than a side dish, the pouch contains as much salt as I would want to consume in an entire day. I would love to have a lower sodium version, but I will pair it with vegetables or unsalted cooked basmati if I have the option.

👤I bought this for my laundry room. I have a scent booster bead in one side and a oxyclean bead in the other. There were no complaints. The sticky tab is strong. Doesn't get stuck either.
👤I wanted to make putting my product in the scoops less messy and wasteful so I bought this. This did not work for my powders as they were too light and packed too thick. They got caught in the hole when I tried to remove them. I saw the tiktok about this and I think it's the same product as in the video. I don't think it would work for anything light or powdery, just don't try to use it for that, it won't work.
👤Works great so far! A very small amount of powder has fallen out over a few uses. Doesn't bother me at all. I am sure a quick wipe down weekly will keep it clean. It is better than having a large stack of cups, cups
👤I have a laundry room. I was going to store odor/scent beads, bleach crystals, and OxyClean. I also ordered another brand, which had 3 wells. The item I am reviewing has 2 cups for each well. I learned that the types of dispensers that use OxyClean don't work well for me. It was getting stuck and had many clumps. The dispensers didn't work well with powders. The laundry room has a lot of humidity. The scent beads worked well in both dispensers. The other 3 well brands seem to be less well made. The plastic has a seal around it. I liked the mechanism on the other brand more. It was easy to set the cup under the hole and press the button. You have to push the cup against the lever to see it. It worked, but it wasn't as easy as the brand's button. I switched to this brand because of the sturdiness, even though I didn't like the mechanism, and I went to my Amazon orders to get it back. I bought the exact model that I had purchased a month before. Even though the product had two wells, there was only one cup in the package. I thought it was a mistake because the picture on the box shows two cups and the description on the box shows one. I tried to return it. The CSR told me that the description now reads "with 1 cup" and that it only comes with one up. I don't want to have to wash the 1 cup between uses, and I don't want to share a cup between items that I will use. I don't understand why the product would have changed in a month only to offer one cup. While researching other options, I noticed that this company sells the same item for two different prices. The item I purchased is a rice cooker and costs $22.69. A laundry scent booster is described by the same company and costs $27.99. They have the same dimensions, but the price and description are different. I don't recall the scent booster dispensers being offered for sale a month ago. I feel ripped off because I wanted 2 cups, but it was just luck that led me to the lower-priced version. I have included photos of the following: my original purchase a month ago with 2 cups, photo on the box of my recent purchase showing 2 cups when only 1 was included, description on the box of the recent purchase also showing 2 cups, and a photo of the description of the different.
Excellent gift for your friends, kids or anyone in your life. There are survival tips inside for you and your family. 25,600 total calories per day. It's easy to prepare. Just add some water. A 25 year shelf life is possible.
👤I feel like what you get is over priced. I have vacuumed more than this contains for a quarter of the price. Don't be lazy. There is not a lot of food in this box.
👤Quite disappointed. Fettuccine and milk sub were good. I could not stomach anything else. It was bad tasting food for most of the time. Everything is compromised of pasta and soup. Extreme rip-off! The company is taking advantage of people. Go clear. Don't buy! You can get a bunch of pasta and soup at Walmart. You can get the same thing at Walmart for a fraction of the cost. There is a I would slap the taste out of their mouths if they were in front of me. Thank you.
👤The survival kit has a good value. I can't review the food because I never plan on eating anything unless I have to. The mile, bananas, and everything else will all be gone in 25 years. I don't need milk or bananas to survive, so why not replace them with something that will last 25 years? One of my pouches had a small gash. I shook the bag and found a small amount of powder. Most of this stuff requires water to be boiled. In a survival situation, you can just add water and shovel it down. All the food and the pouches would need at least 6.5 gallons of water. That's a lot of water. I live in Minnesota, so if a tornado or snow hit, I'd have to eat emergency food. I keep the food in my storage room in the basement with no windows, in either case. I can mix the food with the water from my water heating system in case of an emergency.
👤If you were thinking that this bucket contains ready-to- eat food for two weeks, it doesn't. It requires a large cooking vessel, a heat source for cooking, and a good amount of water. You will need the following to use this kit as directed. A heat source that can cook the good for hours. A large cooking pot with six gallons of water for cooking the food in this kit. It's on me for not reading through the description and product photos more before ordering, but I'd like to point something out in case you also didn't. It's not obvious in the description that it's not easy to split packets into smaller, individual portions because some of the ingredients are clumped together until you cook them. Even though it's marketed for a single person, you'd end up making meals that include eight serving of soup or rice. My biggest issue with the family-sized packets is that they don't need to be refrigerated, but there will be a lot of leftover food, so you'd want to keep it cold. I live in southern Arizona where it's not cold enough to keep food out of the environment, so I'd either need a working refrigerator or just eat a packet of food a day. Milk and banana chips can be split into individual portions, and they don't require cooking. I've made a soup and eaten some chips. The soup will fill you up and keep you alive, but it isn't very good and doesn't have any chicken flavor. It tastes so bland because it already has a bit of salt in it. The smell was great, but the taste wasn't right. I would be happy to have it in an emergency. Assuming that I had enough fuel to boil nearly three quarts of water and then cook it for 25 minutes, and that I could safely store all of the leftovers. The banana chips are pretty good. I will never be able to verify the claim of a 25-year storage life for this bucket of food. I'm not going to be digging this out of the pantry for another round of chicken soup if I'm still alive at that point. I probably won't be updating my review if I need it sooner. The vegetable soup was a good indicator and I would say that the food is filling if not particularly good. I was hoping this would be tailored for me with smaller serving sizes given the product name, because I don't like the large packet sizes. I'm glad that I could try it, but I won't be stocking up on it.
Red beans and rice is a rice and pasta blend side dish that enhances meals. Red beans and bell peppers are combined with a Cajun sauce in Rice Side Red Beans and Rice. This dish cooks in 7 minutes. There is no artificial flavors, noPreservative, and no added MSG in the Rice Sides. Their Red Beans and Rice can be used in a recipe or used as a side dish. You can cook the rice side in a stove or microwave.
👤I like most of the side dishes. This isn't one, but it didn't push the taste bud buttons. We won't get it again. Something about it. Not enough beans would give it a boost. Don't try the "six". Get more if you like it. We will use the other 5 in soup. Not very good. It's on its own.
👤Awesome deal. One of my favorites. When you don't feel like cooking. I can't find it in our stores. Glad to find it online. It was great topped with hot pepper cheese.
👤I like this flavor better than all the other ones, and it's been harder to find this flavor in the past. It's pure pleasure to find it here at the price that matches the store. I will be buying more.
👤It's so versatile and can be a main or side dish. The Red Beans and Rice are very good. I could use more beans.
👤I ordered the Herd and Butter because it was comparable to what I could get at the store. It's easy to make. It's alright for instant rice.
👤A nice neutral flavor matches most meals. Not too salty.
👤These are great to add to the platter of meals for the shut-ins. It is a great taste and can be frozen.
👤I have been using this product for a long time. It's hard to find it in the store. I like the recipe on the back of the packet, where you add sausage, green pepper and celery. It's very tasty and makes a full meal.
The pack has 10 total pouches. There are 2 of the following; Breakfast Skillet and Chicken Alfredo Pasta. The total calories are 25, 670. 170 calories per serving. The net weight was 10 lbs. The shelf life is up to 10 years.
👤There are three issues that have been discovered. The pail is not strong enough to hold a round 5 gal. There are pails. The seal can get compromised in transport and storage. 2. There were no oxygen absorbers in the liner. Considering the poor packaging method, that is likely quite a stretch, as the packaging claims up to 10 years shelf life. The product is dumped into a pail with questionable seal integrity. There are 3. The brand of bulk storage foods appears to be over priced. There are alternatives that use pails with oxygen absorber packets and metal liners that are completely sealed during filling.
👤The product was well packaged and shipped. The seal was broken and bananas were everywhere when I got to unwrap it. I love augason products and will continue to buy them, but this one hurt and no one from Augason farms has contacted me regarding my issue.
👤Coconut oil, sugar, and banana flavoring are in these. These are not good for you. My mistake was expensive. Before purchasing, be sure to read. You get 11 grams of fat and 9 grams of saturated fat from 1/3 C dry. Just want you to be aware.
👤These are lightweight and easy to carry. They are great for a quick boost of energy. We like eating them as a snack instead of chips. They don't last very long in our home.
👤I received a pail that was open when I received it, like another reviewer who I didn't give enough credit to. The lid was not on the way. There's a risk ofcontamination because it wasn't sealed. The chips are bouncing around in the bag, not in a sealed bag.
👤When you add it to a bowl of cereals, you love it. Add fresh strawberry and Blueberries to Nature's Path Organic Ancient Grains Granola with Almonds.
👤Augason Farms products are always my favorite. I have purchased banana chips before.
The shelf life is up to 25 years. The total calories are 37,955. 150 calories per serving. Net weight is 24 lbs. The shelf life is up to 30 years.
👤The more you eat beans, the better you feel, so eat your beans for every meal. We ate them all the time. The church mice moved out because we were so poor. My mom taught us this little song. My children don't think it's funny. The ditty was moved. Is it Abusive? Not a chance! Amazon sells adult toys. Most of your buyers would be alarmed by the items you sell. The ADULT section is a big part of your profits. This is a major reason why Amazon has passed Wal-Mart in sales. You'll modify this part as well. 3 people thought the little ditty was funny. You can leave it alone if my mother teases us with it. Who are you to judge? I know that your guidelines are subjective. My mother was a Baptist. Go figure. I'm also a Marine.
👤A bucket inside a box has been tampered with and beans all over it. I won't be sending a bucket back just to get another one the same way. We received our oats the same way. The pressure of the heat was not very high. The bucket lid didn't have a seal to make sure the product wasn't tampered with.
👤The product inside was good. The bucket was broken when it was delivered and the rice was in the box. I don't know the flavor of the beans or rice we haven't used. We were able to save most of the product, but I had to buy a new bucket. The buckets should have been packed inside the box.
👤I'm very happy that you ordered these products from Auguson farms and they arrived quickly, but I'm a little disappointed that they are not made with non-genetically modified ingredients.
👤I had hoped that the issue had been solved. It had not. I buy two for long term storage. One was opened.
👤There was some sort of moist inside the box. The beans were okay.
👤When I received the beans I ordered, a few of them were spilled out in the box. The other 2 beans were not bad. Is it possible that the containers aren't supposed to be sealed for 30 years?
👤My first order is this one. I had to remove a few bugs and gravel once in a while, but it's great.
A 25 year shelf life is possible. It's perfect for everyday use and emergencies. The shelf life can be up to 10 years.
👤I don't want my kids to look at me and say "Dad, why weren't you prepared for US, what are we going to do for food to survive?" As much money as we throw away, comes on. This is an insurance policy. You should put up plenty just in case, but you hope to not need it.
👤The shelf life on the label is up to ten years. That's great, but when was it packed? We have no way of knowing because products like this can sit in warehouses for a long time. That's bad news for the crowd. We usually buy this type of stock food without intending to eat it. In the event of a true emergency, how could I be certain that the product is safe to eat? If someone will tell me about this, I will change the review. I left a message for customer service.
👤I make meals in jars. You can use this as a base, add some sour cream powder, freeze dried potato, sausage, green onions, cheddar cheese sauce, and/or freeze dried cheddar cheese, and you have a copy cat version of Black Angus' Baked Potato. It was great! Carbohydrate lovers are happy! Second review. I decided to make some clam chowDah. I thought about this and decided to give it a try. It was great! clams, milk, water Wow. I like Augason Farms soups. All of them! They can be used as a base.
👤The soup mix makes the greatest chowder. Adding the clam or oyster liquids and a cup of light or heavy cream to the dish, along with the fish stock, chopped onion and a bit of garlic, gives the dish that special sea food flavor and one cup of light or heavy cream instead of 1 cup water, puts the finishing touch
👤This soup is thick and creamy, but you are free to make it your own. Add sliced mushrooms, green onions, diced chicken or cheese. You can top it with bacon bits, sour cream or cheese. You can make a delicious clam chowder. Your imagination is not enough. A few pennies per serving. I keep my stuff in the pantry. I put dehydrated potatoes on a pan with a sprinkle of Potato soup powder. Add hot milk and butter. For 20 minutes, bake at 350. The best potatoes ever.
👤Half onions/powder is what there is. The onions stick in your teeth because they don't cook properly. I took the onions from the power and put a half can of power in them. The flavor is ok but not like potato soup. Would I eat this during an emergency or during a zombie apocalypse? I would throw onions at the zombies. During an emergency? Highly doubt it. If I was starving to death? If the onions were taken out.
👤The company decided to send it with an in-person signature. They tried to deliver it to our washing room in back, but never came to our front door, and left a note on the washroom saying they were at the wrong place. I don't own a car. I don't mail order stuff in order to find a way to pick it up myself. I will be trying to get my money back for non-delivery for the first time. Augason suddenly decided they needed a signature from a repeat customer. Had this for the first time today. I didn't change it much from the can into the boiling water, but I did add some pepper and basil. I got a feel for how it tastes, just following the directions. It's too thick, so I used a little more water than I needed. The soup needs a bit of help to be an ideal soup, so in the future I'm probably going to use a vegetable broth instead of plain water, and more of it, as it needs a bit more help to be an ideal soup. I could feel it sticking to the bottom of the pot after I stirred it all the time. It's another effect of being too thick and needing more water added than the instructions say. I don't know if I'll re-order it often to always have at hand, I'll better know that it's not as good as Bear Creek instant potato soups, after I've used up this can.
There are no genetically modified foods and there are no genetically modified foods and there are no genetically modified foods and there are no genetically modified foods and there are no genetically modified foods and there are no genetically modified foods and there are no genetically modified foods and there are no genetically modified foods and there are Can store up to 25 years. You can use the bag to snack out of. A quart in a jar is a great source of vitamins and minerals. They have other great products such as dried veggies, freeze dried fruits and veggies, and true dehydrated beans.
👤It was very misleading. It is actually inaccurate. It is in a quart jar, but only 11 ounces. The claim that you get.46 cents per ounce is a lie. It's 1.34 ounces. Not good practice in business. From now on, I will purchase somewhere else.
👤If it were possible, I would give it zero stars. Terrible taste and consistency. Even though there was a price increase, should've stuck with the brand we've ordered before. The product description says one full quart in a jar. The jar held 11 ounces. I think a quart is still 32 ounces. The product was supposed to make a quart once re-hydrated. I am partly to blame for the misunderstanding because if I had clicked on the item photo, I would've seen the 11oz jar label. This product costs more than a good steak so I will not be ordering it again.
👤We can't eat a whole can of beans, but I can make a small amount. I mix it with boiling water, not the proportions on the label. I add bacon fat or butter to it. It was delicious!
👤It's nice but I'm going back to my normal brand. Why? When you read the ad, you think of a lot of product, but in reality, I felt ripped off. The brands I've bought were heavier.
👤There is a description of refried beans. Product sent is plain pinto beans. The pinto beans take 15 minutes to reconstitute. It's not good for backpacking.
👤They are good for dehydrated food. Can they be as good as canned beans? No. They do the trick. Especially when you're outdoors. They are cold soaked and rehydrated in a matter of minutes. I found that following the directions made them soupy. I don't add as much water.
👤Santa Fe used to be in the market in my area. These are easy to cook and have a fast absorbancy of water. They are nice and plain, but have a creamy pinto texture. They're pretty heavenly if you add a little seasoning. They beat any can of beans.
👤I didn't want to eat refried beans on the trail, so I dehydrate a lot of my own food. They made a great dinner on top of tortillas. The water was boiled and then rehydrated in a freezer bag.
All natural and certified to be free of bothGluten-Free and All Natural. It's perfect for food storage, emergencies, survival, and everyday use. A 30 year shelf life is possible. A 30 year shelf life is possible.
👤I have purchased this product before, but this time I am not so happy. I tried to return the can to Amazon after I noticed a manufacturing defect. I don't know why Amazon won't process the return. I sent Augason Farms a message with all of the details, but they didn't reply. I am not a happy customer, but I am normal and easy to please. I own my own business and wouldn't allow this type of service from my company. Hope they see this and make changes.
👤I opened the can about 3.5 months ago to do the tests. I put them on my cereals occasionally. The Q&A section of the website had reviews that said the berries could last up to a year after opening. I noticed that the remaining berries were sticking together and felt a bit gummy by 3 months. I think the can was getting wet when I opened it. The berries seem to have held up, but I don't think the remaining ones will be as good in a few months. A can of strawberries was the same as the one that occurred with an identical situation. They are no longer crisp. The freeze-dried berries need to be eaten within a couple of months of opening. The weight of the blueberries I received was just over the specified weight, and that's important. I got what I paid for. The can is 21 ounces. The can and lid is small. I can tell in the future if I got the correct 12oz. Without having to open the can. The can was almost full. The can was full of fruit. The number of serving is second. I measured out 13 grams, or 1/2 cup, of berries that were supposed to be equal to one serving. 13 grams equaled 1/2 cup. I got 25 1/3 from the berries. The missing serving could be due to one or two extra berries in the other cups. Since I got the 12 ounces, I won't argue over the slight "shortage." The quality is third. The berry tasted good. They had a fairly sweet taste, just a little sour, as you would expect from the fruit. The taste was different from fresh fruit. They are very hard when dry. They are squishy when rehydrated. They don't have the firmness of fresh fruit. That should be expected. They are not as big as they should be, but they were still good-sized even when dry. The color of the fruit was expected to be blue. The outer skin on some of them was white, but when I looked closely, these were where the skin had peeled off. I don't think there is anything wrong with them. I followed the instructions on the label to rehydrate some of the berries. I left them in the water to make sure they were hydrated. Only a small portion of the 1 cup of water was absorbed. There was some water left over. One person estimated that the rehydrated berries would be equal to 6.5 quarts. The rehydrated berries were the same volume as the dried ones. The rehydrated berries would be about a half a cup in volume. You might get similar numbers of berries. I counted fresh and dry berries in a 1/2 cup. The fresh berries weighed 2.5 ounces while the rehydrated ones weighed 2 ounces. Rehydration is not required. If you have a taste for the fruit, they can be eaten straight from the can. I have a lot of blueberries and add them to my cereals. The cost is next. The berries cost between $32.65 and $2.80/ounce. If we assume that the 12 ounces of berries were roughly equivalent to 6 pints, then the cost is $5.61/pint. I bought a quart of fresh fruit for $3.29 the other day. I usually pay less than $3.50 for a drink. I have only paid for a small amount of beer. I bought two different kinds of dried blueberries at an "organic" store. A carton costs $1.66/ounce while a bag costs $. 73/ounce. The two packages had 14 ounces. If you can find them, you can get them at a cheaper price. The best by dates are a few months away. They are for current use and not long-term storage. We pay the extra cost to be able to store the blueberries for an extended period of time for emergencies. I would buy these again for that contingency. I will need to eat them in the next few months after opening the can. If I had access to dried berries at the grocery store, I wouldn't buy these for regular or daily use. Handling the dried fruit may make your fingers blue. Some people think that if they get a large can, they should get a lot of fruit. The picture clearly shows that the net weight is 12 ounces. It is supposed to be. I'm not sure why they chose 12 oz., but a check of other vendors shows that they also put only 10-13 ounces of berries in their containers. Augason would charge more for the berries if they put more in the can. The more berries, the higher the cost. I know how long it takes because I've picked the fruit. The #10 can is a standard size can used by many manufacturers who sell long-shelf-life food products. It is cheaper to use one size can. I have a lot of cans with products. 12 ounces might be enough to fill a small portion of the can. It was most of the can in my case. If someone got less than 1/3 of a can full, they might question the amount. You have to go by weight.
The meat brand is canned luncheon meat. Pork with ham is canned. 0 grams trans fat per serving; 0 grams sugar per serving. 180 calories per serving with 7 grams of protein. It doesn't need to be refrigerated until after it's opened.
👤My husband likes to eat meat in a can. He'll eat breakfast, lunch and supper there. If he were asked if he had only one thing to eat for the rest of his life, it would be Spam. The longevity on Spam is amazing, but it's very salty and kept inside a brine. I told him that if he only had Spam to eat for the rest of his life, he would need a lot of water to wash it down. He said he would like beer. It's great on crackers and in eggs. He asked me to make spaghetti with it, and I put my foot down. That's offensive! A woman has limits.
👤The worst purchase I have ever made was the junk mail.
👤The salty potted meat tastes great until you're halfway through the can. At that point, you realize that you can't turn back because the loser can't finish a can. My mom didn't raise a quitter.
👤What a disappointment. I lost $135,00 and AMAZON won't give me a Refunds. The customer service representative was told to say "I don't have an option here". I wondered if I was talking with a robot or a person. The product is completely spoilt in the first picture and a little insect in the second picture. What a disaster.
👤Either you love or you don't. I don't think there's anything in between. I love it. I was brought up eating this in a sandwich. As an adult, I use Spam as the main ingredient in Korean noodles. In Hawaii, musubi is a beloved meat. It has been around for a long time because of its great product. It's easy to store since it's in a can. There is a good shelf life for Spam. It's great when fried and added to dishes. It can be used for a variety of meals. It's cost effective to provide enough nutrition for several meals. It was a little expensive. I think it's worth the price. Everyone else stocked up so it was hard to find during Covid-19.
👤I used to be a snob about this product, but my mother made us try it one day, because she was poor and my father was bad-mouthing it. I will always be grateful for that, because it taught me a lesson about trying something before you make a decision. If you don't mind the saltiness, this is a great product. If you're a clever chef, you can figure out how to stop that. If you don't have any actual ham or other freah meat, this is a great substitution. I use it as a substitute for ham fried rice when I want to control salt levels. My family can't get enough of this recipe. It works great as an enhancer to mac and cheese. When fresh food is not always easy to get, and when you can find it is expensive, it's probably a lifesaver if you use the internet.
👤It's the SPAM. The only thing that can be used is the one and only SPAM. I grew up with this pork product, it has been around a long time. Whatever is baked, fried, stir-fried, or cooked. I took this camping. To the top of the mountain. To my grill. To my wok. The meat product has good flavor but is a tad salty. Hopefully you won't eat an entire can. It's a great pantry addition for those emergency situations. You will be happy to have a can or two on hand when the hordes start running.
