Money back guarantee. They want to keep each customer happy. If you are not satisfied, they will give you a full refund. It is certified as being free of gluten. It's perfect for everyday use and emergencies. shelf life can be up to 30 years.
👤I ordered a lot of rice. The lid fell off on 3 of the buckets. The bucket wouldn't reseal if the lids were pushed back on. This product will not last long if it is not sealed. I will not return due to the product's weight, but I will not buy again.
👤The supplier should have read the reviews and put one turn of tape around the edge of the container which opens. I have to throw this rice away since there are other particles, so I will just get a local container. The money was wasted.
👤The buckets were ordered and the seals were broken. I am coming back anyways because I couldn't tell on the 4th one. Do not trust them.
👤The seal was broken. Will have to be able to store the product for the purpose of buying it.
👤I am satisfied with the packaging. I can't go without free shipping. It's still a good value. The advertising needs to be straight. This is 24 lbs, not 28. 231 serves per container, not 270. 39k calories per container is not 49k. These advertising inacuracies are more serious. I would buy again.
👤It's perfect for our zombie apocalypse kit. We are saving it in case of an emergency. The bucket size is easy to stack in a closet with other emergency kit items. It has a shelf life of 30 years. I hope we don't have to eat it. I'll come back in 29 years to see if it's still good. It's a good thing.
👤I do have a great idea and your consumers would agree, but how would you know if someone was buying this at a high price? I don't want to waste money, I'll send an updated review if we need it. I hope it's healthy. Or something similar.
There are 8 customer favorites in the waffle pack, including Crest Peak creamy Pasta & Chicken, Dessert High Chili Mac with Beef, Old Country Pasta Alfredo with Chicken, Still Lake Lasagna with Sausage, and Trailhead Noodles & Beef. SERVINGS Each pouch has 2.5 serving per kit. You can cook-in and eat-in from the pouch, without plates or bowls. It's light and packable and can be stored for up to 15 years. All ReadyWise Adventure Meals are made in the USA.
👤I have been buying more and more from the company. The quality is amazing. I always add half a cup more when I add water, it's a huge tip. This helps to keep everything hydrated. The serving sizes are accurate. I can eat a pouch to myself, but my girlfriend can't. I love eating a dehydrated meal that tastes amazing. Light weight and great for backpacking are what these are. This is a good choice over Mountain House.
👤We made this initial purchase as a test to see which brand we should buy for our large family. We compared brands. The taste was good for both. The Wise requires less fuel to heat and eat as you boil water, so add it to the package, stir, and reseal to rehydrate. If you have a lot of people eating different foods, this is convenient. The texture of the two Wise samples was less desirable because pieces that didn't seem to be fully rehydrated. Adding a bit more boiling water may alleviate this. If the rehydration process took place, the Legacy had to be cooked in a pan over heat. If you cook for multiple people, you need more fuel than the Wise. The Wise seems to be a good choice for emergency go bag supplies. It is important. The Legacy brand was completely ruled out. The bags devoted puncture holes from the noodles after a couple of days of moderate handling. I wouldn't trust holes to be easy to develop for long term storage in a go bag. No holes were developed when the brand was called Wise.
👤Ratings are either black or white. This package was purchased for emergency use. For a situation. The chili mac was good. After an extended cook time, beans were hard. It was okay. Was it good? It tasted good, that's what matters for emergency food.
👤One of the breakfast meals had been eaten for 2 years.
👤When the world ends, I got this. I will have some good food. The pictures on the package look good, so I know this review is a little premature. I will rewrite the review if Amazon is still around after the world end. It's funny.
👤The meals I have eaten are good. The breakfast meals at the mountain House are better. The other meals are good. I will not order breakfast meals.
👤I was a 3x size guy and served plenty. It feels like a gi style canteen cup. The meals are either hot or cold. Better deal and value than similar brands.
👤I have a few of these. The 2 serving pouches in this box are enough to feed you for one meal. They are good to put in your backpack for when you need a meal and there is nothing else around. You have to be on short notice if you forget your lunch. For backpacking, you may want to pay for the good stuff, but for everything else, this stuff works great.
A 20 year shelf life is possible. 2, 667 calories per day. It is easy to prepare. Just add some water. The shelf life is up to 25 years. The net weight was 4 lbs 0. 97 Z is 84 kilograms. The net weight was 4 lbs 0. 97 Z is 84 kilograms.
👤Oh my gosh, so much complaining and whining. 1. If preparing for one person, divide the pouch into portions and only prepare 1 portion at a time. 2. Seal in a baggie or jar by rolling the opened top over. Unreconstituted leftovers are not bad in 3 days. 3. The dishes should be beefed up. Add canned chicken, dried vegetables, noodles, instant rice, lentils, or something similar. 4. Why am I looking at this product? Is it for survival or preparation? Is it for disasters? Thousands of books tell you how to get water, store water, and filter water. Food storage is discussed in the same books. The Forstchen book is a good starting point. 5. If you want to survive bad situations, you need to depend on yourself. Reality doesn't care about who you are. You will probably need to save yourself. Ask people who survived Sandy. 6. Today is a great day to start preparing for an uncertain future. Go to the grocery store and buy a box of rice, a jar of chicken bullion cubes, 3 cans of beans, and 2 cans of meat that you will eat. You can eat soup or casseroles for several days for under $10 now. The rest is on you, so remember. Prepare for the future.
👤The money has an outstanding value. The shelf life is 25 years. If you're in the market for long term food, you found the brand. Remember that in a "hunker down" situation, you're not likely to be in a hurry, so just take your time cooking it. My wife was pleasantly surprised by how decent these were. It would be enjoyable to eat this stuff and not die of starvation. Result, compared to normal food, was not bad at all. Result, considering that this stuff has been completely freeze dried and will last into my retirement.
👤Each entree or product is worth 72 hours for one individual but in a single package, so there are no complaints about this. If you want to use this for 9 meals, you need to open each entree and repackage it into three portions or cook it once and save the leftovers. I was hoping it would be packaged in a way that was convenient.
👤A pack of bananas. One pack of oatmeal says brown sugar, but it doesn't taste like it. The other three packs are just soup. The potato soup tastes good, but you want to add vegetables and meat. White soup is what it is. You have to make a huge pot of soup and store it. The humidity can get to open packs. The other packs were not the same as the banana chips. I will not buy it again. I tried to portion out the chicken and rice for a bowl. I got violently ill after eating it.
👤It was deceptive labeling. It's four big packages. If you're by yourself, you'll need a working refrigerator to keep the leftovers in. If you're buying this for a one person scenario, it's not realistic. I have been through an earthquake and I can tell you that grocery stores and electricity won't be there.
The US Coast Guard approved a 12-day supply of food. 2 packets Each packet contains fortified food bars. The US Coast Gaurd was approved for 5 years shelf life. The USCG No 160.046.36 was approved. No 168.006. It is designed to sustain life until rescue or addtional food is available. The coconut flavor is great. The coconut flavor is great.
👤I'm only eating these for 3 days. A personal challenge. The Final Day is day 3. If you like coconut, the taste is great. I score there. The main ingredient in the biscuits/cookies is sugar. They haven't spiked my blood sugar, I've taken my blood sugar 3 times, twice the first day and once yesterday. It was either 81 or 82 each time. The brick of food is 1.6 pounds, there are 9 biscuits/cookies, and each one weighs almost 3 ounces. The package felt greasy when I opened it and I was looking at a block of food. I cut a third of the cookies away with a knife, but they were wrapped individually and stuck together. They are wrapped in plastic. I've been drinking water with each cookie because of the promotion of thirst. That is important to keeping hunger away. I drink about 480 ounces of water and 6-7 cups of tea each day. For breakfast, lunch and dinner, I cut the cookies in thirds and eat 1/3 of a cookie. I save the last third for a snack. It seems to work until about 4pm when I get hungry and have to wait for it to pass. I continued to work out in the morning for 45 minutes. I feel the weight on my eye lids in the evening because I'm a little more tired than usual. I usually sleep for 7 hours but last night I slept for 8. I feel great in the mornings. I feel tired in the late afternoons and evenings. Breakfast was my strategy. I haven't had it yet. I ate it on the day before. A 1/3 of a cookie is enough to eat. Before you eat, drink at least 20 ounces of water. Yesterday was almost 11 am, so you should wait as long as you can. Again drink water and tea. There is a Yesterday was 1 pm. Drink water. The snack was at 3:30 pm. Drink water and tea. The dinner was close to 6 pm. Drink water and tea before and during snack. Water and tea are good for you. I lost over 6 pounds in 2 days. There were no ill effects. The first night was cold. I had to drink tea and put a warm cup against my neck to warm me up after taking my temperature. It might have been that I was incorporating a lot of tea into the plan last night, because I didn't have the same effect. Put one in your car, your wife's car, your kid's car. They're great for emergencies. Live off them for 3 days if they're about to expire. Update I lost 9 pounds after completing the challenge and felt great the whole time. The hunger is not the only thing. It's worth keeping your cars in case of an emergency.
👤The apocalypse won't be bad after all. I decided to eat one and see if I want to keep this in my closet. They are so delicious that I've already gone through a 3 day pack. There was nothing wasted. I "lived" off of 3 bars a day for 3 days, and they do eradicate hunger. I accomplished everything I could on a day to day basis, except for the desire for a cheeseburger. It was an interesting 3 days but I am confident that S.O.S. Rations will be a great addition to the long term food storage. If I can stop eating them. I had them with coffee, so maybe that was cheating.
The shelf life is up to 25 years. The total calories are 37,955. 150 calories per serving. Net weight is 24 lbs. The shelf life is up to 30 years.
👤The more you eat beans, the better you feel, so eat your beans for every meal. We ate them all the time. The church mice moved out because we were so poor. My mom taught us this little song. My children don't think it's funny. The ditty was moved. Is it Abusive? Not a chance! Amazon sells adult toys. Most of your buyers would be alarmed by the items you sell. The ADULT section is a big part of your profits. This is a major reason why Amazon has passed Wal-Mart in sales. You'll modify this part as well. 3 people thought the little ditty was funny. You can leave it alone if my mother teases us with it. Who are you to judge? I know that your guidelines are subjective. My mother was a Baptist. Go figure. I'm also a Marine.
👤A bucket inside a box has been tampered with and beans all over it. I won't be sending a bucket back just to get another one the same way. We received our oats the same way. The pressure of the heat was not very high. The bucket lid didn't have a seal to make sure the product wasn't tampered with.
👤The product inside was good. The bucket was broken when it was delivered and the rice was in the box. I don't know the flavor of the beans or rice we haven't used. We were able to save most of the product, but I had to buy a new bucket. The buckets should have been packed inside the box.
👤I'm very happy that you ordered these products from Auguson farms and they arrived quickly, but I'm a little disappointed that they are not made with non-genetically modified ingredients.
👤I had hoped that the issue had been solved. It had not. I buy two for long term storage. One was opened.
👤There was some sort of moist inside the box. The beans were okay.
👤When I received the beans I ordered, a few of them were spilled out in the box. The other 2 beans were not bad. Is it possible that the containers aren't supposed to be sealed for 30 years?
👤My first order is this one. I had to remove a few bugs and gravel once in a while, but it's great.
SHELF STABLE is the longest proven shelf life in the industry. A 30-year taste guarantee. It's great for emergency food storage. The test date is June 6, 2014). There are flameless heaters included.
👤This is not what the military does. I was in the Army for 16 years and never had an MRE like this. It's not close. Also, no theater. This is not a good description. Don't buy it.
👤You should check the production dates. When I received them, they were almost 3 years old. The shelf life is usually about 6 years from production.
👤Meal #17 Sausage Patty, Maple Flavored is the first thing we have tried. The meals all come with a flameless heating device. The smell of the FRE is unpleasant, but that is part of the experience. The food is good. Meal 17 includes the pork sausage patty, maple syrup, Maple flavoured muffin top, crackers and peanut butter, coffee, electrolyte drink, peanuts, gum and moist towelette. Good food and lots of fun! We should probably keep them for emergencies, but will most likely just have them whenever we want a fun meal. I can't wait to try the other meals.
👤It was more calories bombed when I was in. Happy to have it and enjoy it again. There are various packages with different menu options. You can heat the main course by putting in a green bagy with some water. There is a snack and lemonade. There is a utensil, gum, matches and etc. There is a It's when you want to go hiking, fishing, and other things. It's just lazy to cook after a workout. I'm bad at reviews. Mark ah.
👤It's always great to have a prepper. I had to use a few before when I went backpacking and my food was spoiled because my cooler had a split in it. I packed em because I was too tired to eat by the time I got to the restaurant. Since half of my food was shot, I turned back around. These are the real deal, straight up G.I. MRE's, brown bag, thick vacuum sealed aluminum packaging, and heaters included. I like surplus stuff and some of them are not bad.
👤The MRE's were advertised. They show a lot of examples. They varied in packaging when I received one of every selection. The items were still good when they were inspected in June of 2016 and have at least two more years left on their shelf life. I've had a lot of these brands before and will be ordering more from Western Frontier. If the shelf life was longer, it would get five stars.
👤There were a few things off about the case I ordered. The menus were different from the picture. Which is fine, but one of them was not good. The problem I encountered was that the case was packages in 2016 so it is about to end. It was sitting on the tarmac for 8 hours. I tasted one and it was okay for one hike and backpacking, but I wouldn't use it for prepping. The heat packets are duds.
👤MRE's: Who doesn't love meals? There were always the MRE's when you were in service, the long days in the field, blisteringly hot or freezing cold, pouring rain and blowing snow. Scientifically designed to support hard-working troops in the field, these make excellent "survival" and/or "emergency" ration, and one meal can easily be stretched to cover more than just one meal, if needed.
It was approved by the U.S. Coast Guard. It's perfect for everyday use and emergencies. A 10 year shelf life is possible.
👤At Auguson Farms, bad directions seem to be the rule. The people that write the instructions have never tried to follow them. The biscuit mix is not an exception. You can get a hard little biscuit that's technically edible if you follow the directions on the can. I have finally gotten some really good biscuits from this mix. Remember to use water as the directions say. The most important thing to remember is that you need to add some melted butter, and mix the dough with care. Don't do anything to it other than blend your ingredients to hold it together. Cut out your biscuits from the flattened disc. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised if you bake with a little milk on the tops.
👤Have purchased a number of No 10 cans of Auguson products. I decided to open the can of biscuit mix. The can was only half full. When choosing a company, consider the price of ingredients. I will be testing other products I have bought to see if I should ever order one again. You don't get a full can of product. It's not great if you depend on survival.
👤This is a must have. I added honey, melted butter, a half cup of milk, 2 cups of biscuits mix, 4 cups of baking powder, and a dash of salt. My husband said how great they were. They were not hard at all. I made a gravy to go over it. He compared it to a fast food joint. I will be ordering again for long term storage.
👤I've bought a lot of cans from here, but I just opened the undamaged box that was shipped in, and the can has a small scratch on it. I've heard that a large dent shortens shelf life. The person who boxed would have seen and felt the damage. I can't find a way to contact the company.
👤I bought this for my family to add to our emergency food supply. I wanted to make sure I had this after the Pandemic. If I wasn't able to get any of my ingredients for my biscuits, I would at least know I had this.
👤I ordered two cans, one for now and one for zombies. The wife mixed up a lot. You must add baking soda to the recipe on the can. She drank milk. The biscuits were hard and dry, but the taste was good and I enjoyed two of them. I don't understand why they don't add baking soda to the mix or even dried milk to make it complete, but it is what it is. Maybe some of their dried butter would help with flavor. We are going to experiment with them to see if we can find some ingredients to make them better. The can has a pretty good dent in it. The can may not go as far as you think. The zombies will make these taste great.
👤She doesn't have a sore throat. I'm going to tell the kids about the dry Asakatas. I got a lot of them. A big can. The price was correct. You can keep them for a long time. MySTEINS syrup cans were damaged in the shipping. These will be okay with butter. They need toDENT the BUTTER CAN. MAMA has left the building.
Each bar can be eaten in six portions with a total of 2400 calories. There are 18 bars with 200 calories per bar. It is packaged in a way that makes it easy to ration and store in your survival and disaster kit. All natural ingredients with superior coconut flavor. The small and lightweight is USCG approved and has a 5 year shelf life. A high energy value and ready to eat.
👤I got the full life from my pack, which was packed in July of last year. I bought this to see if it worked out. The directions say to eat 1 bar every 6 hours at sea and 4 hours on land. It's 4 bars per day since you won't be awake for 24 hours. You could go 4 days on that metric. I only had 3 bars on my first day. It's possible to go for 5 days. I only ate 25% of my normal intake, so I felt weaker throughout the day. I have a very physically demanding job. It's a good test to me. The bars are wrapped. They look like someone crushed a bunch of dog biscuits and compressed them into a bar that was three times as thick. The individual wrappers are not sealed. They are hard to unwrap, and you will have to break the bar into pieces to open it. The bar is very brittle and can easily fall. It's basically the same flavor as a slightly old graham cracker. You could put it on a cheese cake. If you drink a little water with it, you can have it in your mouth for a while.
👤The portable calories are waterproof. Perfect emergency food. There were no strong reactions among the people I've had try them. These are supposed to be coconut flavor, but I didn't like it at all, they taste like a graham cracker. It's a good thing that these are easy to eat for people with poor or no teeth as the texture is very crumbly. Emergency ration should be easy to eat and neutral. If you need to bust into these, there's no reason you should have to eat terrible food because the situation is already bad. They're not good enough for anyone to get into them without a need. Not good for frivolous snacking. When you last heard someone say "I'm craving some emergency ration!" Nope, me not. It helps if you aren't really good at making sure they're there when you need them. The outer package is easy to open, but the inner plastic shrink wrap on the individual bars was difficult to open. It is doable, but a knife or sharp object will make it easier. They made good s'mores. The leftovers from the tester packages were not as good as normal crackers, but we had to find something to do with them.
👤I haven't tried them yet because I purchased them for shelf storage. I only bought one pack because I wanted to try them, but my husband said no. My review is based on the packaging. I bought them on 4-13-2017. The manufacturing date is 9-15, and only just now been noticed. These are 1.5 years old. I know they have 3 years left on them, but when I asked the seller about the shelf life, he said they have a 5 year shelf life. All of our stock is new. I'm not happy that I'm losing shelf life, but I only paid $9 for them. I'm not going to complain to the company and have no plans to return them, but just be aware that when you receive them, they may not have 5 years of shelf storage left. The package was vacuum sealed and arrived quickly. The instructions are printed on them at sea and land. I don't have to worry about remembering. There are drinking water tips in emergency situations. I'll update my review if I can convince the husband to open them. If it had full shelf life, I would have given it 4 stars.
Shelf life can be from 10 to 30 years. You can get the daily forecast by rotating the knob on the AM/Fm/Shortwave radio, which is pre-programmed with the weather band. The weather radio comes with a 5000 Li-ion battery and 5 power sources, so you don't have to worry about it not being charged in an emergency. When power goes out in the emergency, use a flashlight with a hand crank to light up a lantern to keep you safe. flip up the solar panel to become a reading lamp with built in 6 bright LEDs. Emergency cell phone battery and Loud alarm. Cellphone will never power off even a brief power failure, you can connect the included charging cable to your cellphone and make a phone call for help. The red beacon is loud enough to be heard by rescuers. 3.5mm Headphone Jack is included in the package to provide personal listening without disturbing others. If you get lost outside, you can attach the extra compass to the strap to show you orientation.
👤I was given a radio by the vendor hoping I would write a review. This is an honest review. The radio is 7 inches wide and 3 inches deep and has an antenna that is secured and retracted. The tuning knob is stiff, making tuning difficult. The speaker is small. It doesn't give you a high fidelity sound, but you can hear voice communication and music. A residential room has a lot of volume. I am in a small bedroom listening to a country radio station with the volume turned to 25% of the dial rotation and it is louder than a face to face communication. I pick up lots of stations on AM radio. It was difficult to tune any station as it was difficult to not be interfered with by an adjacent station. I don't listen to a lot of AM radio so I can't give a good evaluation of this function. The radio seems to listen to our local stations. It was clear that the local stations were good enough, even though it seemed a little difficult to tune in. The dial is not very accurate as there are no graduation marks on it, but the frequencies are written on about every 4 Mhz, so it was possible to find the desired station. SW radio. I wasn't able to get many clear stations. I didn't listen to it because it was in English, my only language. WB radio The weather band does not need to be adjusted. There is a switch to choose one of the weather bands. I only received the seventh station. It worked well. I understood the information being received. There are many ways for the device to be powered: built in a Li-ion battery, disposable batteries, crank, solar, and microusb. There is a switch to switch between the li-ion power source and theAAA batteries. I haven't tried anything yet, but the li-ion power source is. The other three power sources are connected to the li-ion batteries and can be used to power the radio. I believe it powers its type Ausb port so you can charge your phone or whatever from its internal battery. I don't know if it powers the battery. There is a flashlight beam on one end of the radio and a reading light behind the solar panel. There is an emergency function that emits a very bright red led and a siren sound. It is loud in a small room. It had a small carabiner and a small compass on it. Is this something I would buy? I live in Florida. I would buy this radio as part of my Hurricane Preparedness because I believe it would come in handy if we lost power. You might take it with you on a camping trip. I have not evaluated the value of this device compared to any of the other ones, so I can't say it's a good deal.
👤With the coronaviruses on the loose, I decided my house needed a nice solar radio. I don't think the coronaviruses will kill our electric, but you never know when you need a radio anyways, so good as any to get one. It seems very durable after I tested it. There are 4 ways to power it: batteries (yours), solar to charge the internal 2000 mAh, crank to charge the internal 2000 mAh, and charging with miniusb. It's always good to have the ability to charge the radio under a variety of circumstances. It has a good flashlight, a good compass, a good radio, and an excellent and very loud sound. I bought a second for my car because I liked it so much. So. You could say that I like this radio.
The stock up kit has a variety of ready-to- eat meals and breakfast dishes that are individually wrapped for convenience and freshness when you need them most. 25 year shelter life Their emergency foods are designed to last for 25 years, which means they can be used in disaster kits. Large-quantity survival food kits can be stored at home, in your vehicle or your emergency shelter for long term emergency preparedness when you need it most. It's easy to prepare in any situation, just add water, wait a few minutes and enjoy your food. The containers are easy to store and lock together so food stays safe and secure.
👤We researched before buying food storage from Wise Company. The price for the quality and amount of food is unbeatable. Adding these to my family's emergency kit gives me great peace of mind and I hope I never have to use them. I have tasted pastas and potatoes before at a store that is more like a hunting store. They were something I could live with if I had the same. I suppose that during an end of world event, I would be able to eat any food I wanted. An after taste that wouldn't go away was the brand I tried. Wiseman products are packed in foil packets and then sealed in buckets. The packets should be okay even if something happens to the buckets. When I moved off the islands, I put off getting serious about having an emergency stash because I lived along a fault line. I got lazy because I didn't have ready access to Walmart and Costco on an Alaskan island. I finally bought these buckets because they are a serious investment. I ordered them on a Saturday. We had a 7.1 magnitude earthquake early Sunday morning. Milk stock and glass jars were lost by most stores. We couldn't drink the water for a week. It was a wake up call that we were poor and desperate. We could be on our own for up to 2 weeks because of our location to the rest of the country, and non-perishable food is essential, according to the emergency preparedness teams up here. I also bought buckets of dried fruit from Wise Company. Having these food buckets in our emergency fund gives me peace of mind that if we have to use them, we will have food to eat. You will be glad you spent the money on these when it comes to that point.
👤There was a package that wasn't sealed and there was fine powder in the bucket. We tried that meal last night and it tasted great. The rest is tucked away for a rainy day.
👤I haven't tried anything yet. I ordered it for variety in my food storage. I got three of the same bucket when the order was supposed to have two lunch buckets and one breakfast bucket. I don't want a breakfast bucket all the time, so I am okay with this. It could have been better. There are other thoights. The shipping was supposed to take 5 days, but it took almost 5 weeks. When I ordered it, I read the shipping time.
👤They sent 2 buckets and a first aid kit after I ordered 3 buckets. This is not an MRE type product. The majority of the meals are dried pasta with a powdered flavor packet. The title of the product says "emergency food", which is 124 serving per bucket. It is not clear if only 64 of those are actual meals. The orange drink mix and desserts are the rest of the 124. They don't make it clear in the fine print. The description leads you to believe that 1 serving is 1 meal. Each serving has about 200 to 250 calories. Each bucket is only enough calories for one person for a few days. Less than advertised. It is a huge ripoff. The equivalent of ramen noodles or a Knorr pasta packet is $40 a day. It makes me wonder if the 25 year shelf life is real.
Non-GMO project verification: PROBAR products are non-GMO. It's perfect for food storage, emergencies, survival, and everyday use. It is certified as being free of the harmful effects of the gluten-free diet. A 25 year shelf life is possible.
👤This is a kind of gruel that makes you feel better after eating it. The flavor is ok. The guy at Augason farms was a jerk. I told him that they make good products. This is not one of them.
👤To test. The dried veg took 4 cups of water. It was brought to boil with a bit of bullion and then covered with it. Great taste. The texture of the vegetable was satisfying. It was bought to supplement backpacking meals. Will be buying again.
👤I've been slowly buying from this company, one product every couple of weeks, to carefully become used to preparing meals from a hydrated base, and the results are indescribably amazing. I have 8 different products that taste great, and every dish can be prepared in less than an hour. A max time of 10 minutes to finalize the cooking and a 10 minute soak in water or milk to bring dried food back into its original soft consistency. From stove to table is an amazing experience in food preparation. The shelf life for any variety after opening real containers is 10 years. It's not necessary to keep it refrigerated or freeze to keep. The costs for any of these products are not more than buying fresh, and with several products, the cost is less than fresh. The greatest benefit of being able to buy any and all of these products is that you don't have to stand in line at the checkout. 👤This stuff is not good. The vegetables in the pictures are not chunks of vegetables. There is a powder of material. It might be dried paint dust. So disappointed and disgusted.
👤I bought this for convenience and it is great. High quality vegetables. It's hard to match the convenience of just adding a cup of pre-cut veggies to a stew.
👤I wanted to try this out before adding more cans. A bit of meat can be turned into a meal. I tried the vegetables with just soup and it was very good. Adding lots of vegetables into the emergency/survival ration is highly recommended. It's a great way to make your own freeze dry packets.
👤I bought a can of this to try and like it. I made a cup of this with canned chicken. It was very tasty. I make up all kinds of recipes, and my latest one is "soup 13". Here it is. 2 cups Auguson Farms vegetable stew. Two cans cut green beans. If you like tomato sauce, you can get 1 can. If you want a little zing, you can diced tomatos from Kroger. I like these more than fresh onions. I'll think you'll like it if you try it. I bought 6 more cans of vegetable stew because I like it so much.
