1. Rations Emergency 3600 Calorie Food

Rations Emergency 3600 Calorie Food

Party light, all night: 100% safe, longer-lasting party favors: National days, Halloween, Christmas, birthday party, concert, and sports games. If their glow sticks have a shortage of glow time, they will give you a 100% refund. Most customers buy more than one pack and give it to their friends and family. The package contains 3600 calories per package. The US Coast Guard has been approved.

Brand: Sos Food Labs, Inc.

👤I received one that wasn't sealed, after seeing other reviews about faulty packaging. I was going to open it to see if I liked it before buying more. The foil was folded and cracked because of the vacuum seal against the inner bars. The foil is thick and has a plastic layer inside that makes a good seal. The foil and plastic is very hard to open and it was difficult to open the package with the tear notch. I got a knife to open the package the rest of the way because I was a strong guy. The bars are the same size as your off the shelf bars. They are wrapped with thin plastic and wouldn't trust it to hold in crumbs. Take small bites and chew completely according to the directions. The coconut flavor is strong, as others have said. The texture is like oily corn meal. The oil isn't overwhelming, it's just so that you don't dry out your mouth. The bar is a bit hard, but the crumbs fall off when you bite into it. I wouldn't want to eat these often, but they are for emergency purposes. They would taste like a juicy steak if I were really hungry. When you're starving, taste is ok, but watch out for punctured seal, it's used for when you're not going for regular meals.

👤It was much smaller than I expected. It was surprisingly good. Not great, but good. It was like an off-brand cookie. It's very sweet, but I can't handle much more than a bite of the cookie bar. I drink water to cut the sweet taste. A point or sharp edge is required to pierce the tough packaging. I would be happy to eat this in an emergency situation and it is small enough to fit in a backpack or a boat. I have verified that I could live with eating them, so I'm going to get more for my kit. Purchasing this is a wise choice and you won't regret it when you are stuck in your car during a white out, without supplies after a Hurricane, or stranded on a dead boat at sea.

👤The S.O.S 3600 Calorie Food Bar had the greatest packaging and was one of the major emergency food ration bars. The mylar packaging is tough and tightly sealed. We dropped a full package from a four story building onto a sidewalk and it held up without cracking or penetrating the packaging. The package was put in salt water for seven days and six nights and it tasted like it was in the ocean. We tasted it for five days in the cold and snow. If you leave it in the environment for a year or so, it won't have that new taste, so it's made to be stored and provided in case of an emergency. The food is seperated into nine bars in which each is packaged in plastic once you open the mylar packaging. They have a cinnamon - coconut cookie flavor to them and are very good, they are a survival food that is good what more can you ask for. The food is not bad and it will not dry out your mouth when you eat it, so you can live longer without food than you can without water. The shelf life of this product is five years, which is great because of the ideal storage conditions. This product is great for your home survival kit or vehicle emergency kit as they are heavy for a backpack. We will purchase more of these in the future.

2. Vont Hurricane Emergency Collapsible Batteries

Vont Hurricane Emergency Collapsible Batteries

A basic first aid kit includes bandages, alcohol pads, wet wipes, and antibiotics. The lantern has 30 crazy bright LEDs and cuts through the darkness on the stormiest, dimmest nights. The entire tent or room can be lit up. The collapsible design reduces or increases the light as you collapse the lantern. It's as small as your phone when it's collapsed. It's possible to fit it in your backpack or emergency kit. Waterproof is made of aircraft grade materials and is able to survive a 10-foot drop. The original version is hand-crafting each lantern with strict quality control to give you the best gear you deserve. Don't equip yourself with inferior lanterns. You can rest assured that this camping lantern is of the highest quality. It is covered against loss, theft, and defects in workmanship for as long as you own the product. It is certified by the CE/EMC.

Brand: Vont

👤This thing is bright. Like crazy bright. It's like staring into the sun in the middle of the night when you open the sucker. They are not fooling around when they say this is a bright lantern. The only complaint I have is that when you open it, you only get one setting. As the sun or darkness. There is no in-between. It's meant to light up the world, not just your campsite, so you can close it a little to reduce the brightness. I've had mine for a year and haven't changed the batteries. I bring a lantern with me when I go camping in the summer. Everyone else's site is within 10 miles. The lantern is bright. It's great. I plan on using it again. Just as soon as my eyesight comes back from the last time I used it.

👤Double boxed for safety, arrived on time. Save a smaller box for lanterns. The light is very bright. I can't comment on battery life until I use it. It's perfect for my apartment during a power failure. I don't think the lanterns are strong enough for heavy use, such as camping, but in the safety of your home. I recommend.

👤The lights were used for the first time after the power went out. They are bright, but not as bright as they could be. They are bright and painful at the same time. The only use for them is hanging high. Placing on a coffee table or dining room table will not work. Maybe a frosted shade would help diffuse the intensity. These will not work for us so we will need to look for something else to use during rare power outages and hurricanes. I can see why they are called camping lanterns. Hanging them from trees around the camp site might work out. It's not recommended for table use where they will be in close proximity to people during hurricanes.

👤Everyone needs a reliable light in an emergency, camping, or a black out. This is a great solution. It is bright and can light up a room. It pulls open for light and pushes to turn it off. The body of it is nicely constructed and easy to use. The metal handles can be folded down to make it easy to store next to a bed. A young child wouldn't have a problem using it. The light is very bright, but it doesn't get hot to the touch. Everyone in the house can now have a reliable light when they need it.

👤The camping lanterns with batteries were delivered. The lanterns are sturdy and bright enough for what I need. I was required to let a third party update my software when I tried to get the lifetime warranty activated. I couldn't get to the next step without the update. They don't know how dangerous this can be. I don't think I'll have a warranty.

👤Don't let them fool you, it's still decent. These aren't Pelican Case material. I think the lamp would be smarter and just light up the LEDs on the exposed side as I open it. It would use a bit of energy when I opened it. All of them light up when you open it a little bit. It uses the same amount of energy no matter how much light you need. Hope these help someone.

3. Ultimate Survival Technologies Emergency Rations

Ultimate Survival Technologies Emergency Rations

Also, note: When the oxygen has been removed, bags may not shrink like vacuum bags. Absorbers only absorb 21% of the air, which is oxygen. The air volume will be gone about 1/3 of the time. The apple-cinnamon flavor is pleasant. It is easy to store an optimal balance of cholesterol and vitamins. Each bar can be eaten in six portions with a total of 2400 calories.

Brand: Ultimate Survival Technologies

👤You should ignore anyone who reviews this on the basis of how it tastes. This is not a camping or hiking snack. When you find yourself trapped in the wilderness or in your own home after a disaster, survival ration tastes bland or bad to discourage excessive eating. These taste ok. It was kind of a cinnamon shortbread. For its intended use, texture and quality are fine. I have received 6 of these packages so far and all of them have been sealed perfectly. I put a second layer of vacuum plastic over my survival food to protect it from accidental puncturing and to extend its lifespan. If you get any that have a vacuum loss, just eat it or throw it away. Poor handling in transit or a minor factory defect are the reasons why they're not worth a 1 star review. The calories come out to $.001 per calories. I've been searching for and buying long term storage emergency ration for over a decade and never have I found a better price in the market. Put these in a box in the back of a closet and then buy a bunch of canned and dry foods for your "shtf" meals. These calories are not a meal replacement. To make sure you're getting something resembling real sustenance, keep a bottle of multi vitamins, a few gallons of water, and a couple pounds of freeze dried potatoes or rice nearby. I'm up to 15. I haven't had a single issue with them losing vacuum. Don't let bad luck deter you from purchasing these. If you keep buying these low cost alternatives, the price gougers will start lowering their prices.

👤It appears to be a single pack.

👤The product is not accurate. One pack is not 4 days of food, but one day of food. This product has a shelf life of 5 years and will last 2 years. I am angry with the seller for misrepresenting the product. I would love to have my money back. I could shop locally and find a better deal.

👤We thought we were getting a box of four, not one bar. The image showed four. Since that time, it has changed. The price for 4 seems reasonable. The cost for one is out of line. The product was useless because of the broken vacuum seal. The bars are good for emergency food. We've bought them from local retailers before. The experience of this seller was not great.

👤I ordered 8 boxes and got 8 bars that were not a good value and the bars were good but not at this price.

👤The vacuum seal wasn't intact. The company uses an illustration that shows 4 packages. Caveat emptor is not for purchase.

👤Any type of emergency food is very expensive. These single packs are also selling other places for $20+ each. Also. For $5, you get 2400 calories and a 5 year shelf life, which is a good deal for something that you can just open and eat. You can get these from Wal-mart for five cents cheaper than Amazon will charge, but you have to order four of them. It's a very dense bread type bar. More powdery than bread, like gingerbread. It tastes like a sweet dessert with a hint of cinnamon. It's not something I'd go out of my way to snack on, but it tastes good and is similar to a dense bar. It doesn't taste bad like other emergency ration bars that taste like chemicals or gross. There are some that are my favorite for taste and price. It's worth $5 to have a car glove box and all your backpacks. Just in case. If you break it into the six 400 calories sections, you'll get one of these.

4. LifeStraw Personal Camping Emergency Preparedness

LifeStraw Personal Camping Emergency Preparedness

Excellent for removing grease, oil stains, tar and label. The microfiltration is able to remove 99% of waterbornebacteria and 99% of waterborne parasites. Removes microplastics and reduces the amount of water in the environment. All claims are verified with laboratories using standard testing protocols. 4,000 liters (1,000 gallons) of clean and safe drinking water will be provided by the microbiological filter. Every LifeStraw product purchased, a school child in need will receive safe drinking water for the entire school year. There are materials that are free of BPA.

Brand: Lifestraw

👤You should get a Sawyer-Mini. I have used both on camping trips. You need steel jaws to suck water. If you use a Sawyer or other filters with pump/squeeze action, you won't have to rip out your filling. You have to lie on the ground, and other filters have a straw if the pouch breaks. You need to watch actual videos of people who use these frequently before voting down this post. Everyone uses a pump or squeeze method of filtration. Lifestraws are a great idea, but it is hard to use.

👤I am sorry to have the first one be so negative but the life straw was a total and utter disappointment. I bought it for my daughter to go to Mexico with strict instructions to not drink anything without the life straw. Had she followed my instructions she would have died of dehydration. We followed the instructions from the video to soak it, but we couldn't get any water to come through it. It was too late to return to Amazon and I did not receive a reply when I contacted Life Straw. Too bad. I was going to have one for each family member to have in an emergency pack. I will not do that after this experience.

👤This thing is serious. I went backpacking on Maine's Bigelow range. I ran out of water when I brought it. Bring a wide mouth bottle and fill it with water. I drank from the most disgusting looking hole on top of a lower peak. I thought it would be safe, but it wasn't. Wrong. It tasted like fresh spring water. Better than a tap. I'm from Maine, and I've tasted plenty of water from the mountain springs. It can be difficult to start. You have to prove it by soaking. Blow into it if it still doesn't work. Everyone should have a bug-out bag in case of a civil war, because the world seems to have gone mad.

👤If you don't clear the water after each use, the water will seize up. I didn't run a gallon through either of the break I had.

👤I dropped it from my mouth to the countertop and it stopped working, which is ridiculous. There was no impact at all. It is dangerous to have a water source out in the woods if it can't take an impact. This bad review is solely about that fact.

👤I've used these in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Works as advertised. The system is safe to use. When we deploy, we use it as a standard procedure to have one in everyone's room. It's called Semper Fi.

👤I drank from a steam. I have become a hippie. I'm in a transformation.

👤We got what we ordered. I've used this product before in Afghanistan, and I'm happy with it.

👤The price was right, so I wanted to get one for a while. The water out of the Lake of Two Mountains tasted good and did not have any ill effects.

5. Datrex Emergency Survival Calorie Ration

Datrex Emergency Survival Calorie Ration

A high energy value and ready to eat. The total of 120 bars with 200 calories per bar is in the value pack. It is packaged in a way that makes it easy to ration and store in your survival and disaster kit. The coconut flavor is superior and all natural. 5 year shelf life for USCG, Canadian Coast Guard, EC and NZ approvals. A high energy value and ready to eat.

Brand: Datrex

👤I got a bunch of these five years ago for some car kits. The two kits I kept in the garage were found during fall cleaning. I was pleasantly surprised when I checked out the food. The MREs had held up well, but one cheese spread packet was not good. The Datrex are rationed. They were perfect. The packaging was tight and the taste was good. Two of these and a packet of peanuts are all you need for a light lunch. The garage has been exposed to variable temperatures over the course of a year. I have 10 minutes to refresh the contents of the car kits. If my friends want to eat these, that's not a problem. Some people have trouble opening the bars. That is a pain. It would be great to see a notification that says "pull here" so you can find the edge of the wrapper. I use a small knife. These are rather wet. You need to chew them slowly. They come apart easily since they're pressed blocks of powders and shortening. If you're looking for long-term food that doesn't need a lot of care, they're a great deal. They'll be fine if you get 'em and forget 'em.

👤I will keep these in my pantry for the rest of my life. It is nice to know that you have some calories waiting for you. About like a dry cookie, they are not bad tasting. Not in a bad way. They don't make you thirsty. It's a good thing to have in your pantry. Hope this helps someone.

👤If you're stuck in a survival situation, Datrex is a good source of calories. I would rather carry 2 of these 2400 calories packs than the blue 3600 calories pack. Less chance of wasting money. 1200 calories per day x 4 is plenty of energy to get out when you need to, even if you're carrying 2 of these. If you put 1 in your bugout bag, you can ration 800 calories a day for 3 days and still cover basic body functions. They can be cooked down with water to make a decent hot meal for a little boost in confidence. They're a bit dry to just eat without something to drink, making them more palatable with some water between mouthfuls. Be careful how you store these. The mylar outer package can get damaged if not protected. They will be ok for a while, but not for long if they get damp. I ate one as a test and it was still viable, even though I had a few get punctured in my backpack or behind the seat of my truck. The small bars are wrapped in a thin plastic covering, but they are not sealed. It helps keep the bars together.

👤They were delivered in a box. I opened the vacuum sealed in white pack. The bars were wrapped in a clear film. I couldn't figure out how to open the thing after taking one out. I peeled the plastic off of the corner of the cookie block. They taste like a coconut pecan Sandy cookie, like someone else mentioned. I thought of Lord of the Rings and the lamass bread that Frodo and Sam had to eat. If you have to use these in a situation where you have to deliver the ring of power to the lava river of Mount Doom, you should pretend you are on a journey.

6. Mayday Replacement Preparedness Earthquake Leak Proof

Mayday Replacement Preparedness Earthquake Leak Proof

A high energy value and ready to eat. The U.S. Coast Guard was approved. The U.S. Coast guard and Canadian transport department rely on Ready America's emergency food ration bars with a long shelf life so you can be confident that you're getting the real deal. Emergency food bars are a great way to get a great food ration with a long shelf life. You can keep your survival food kits around for emergencies or camping. Emergency ready requires no preparation. Ready to eat for 5 years. Bring with you on camping trips, mountain bike rides, hiking, or store somewhere safe for a quick way to refuel when you need it most. Keep up to 5 years for emergency preparedness. It can be stored outside. If you need to be prepared for emergencies, keep your emergency kits in your car, boat, RV or anywhere you need to. The Apple Cinnamon Flavour: APPLE CINNAMON. Provides needed nutrition while enjoying the food. The bar has a delicious apple cinnamon flavor. 20 food bar ration for the whole family. The Apple Cinnamon Flavour: APPLE CINNAMON. Provides needed nutrition while enjoying the food. The bar has a delicious apple cinnamon flavor. 20 food bar ration for the whole family.

Brand: Mayday

👤The texture and flavor are okay. When compared to other types of emergency food, it's not going to win any awards. It's durable and not terrible. If you catch it when it's down, it's still ok because the price is higher than it used to be. The bars were already a year old when I opened the package. Only four years left. Losing a year right from the start is not good, I don't know about other people, but even 5 years flies by. This was a direct purchase and shipment from Amazon, not a 3rd party seller. I'm also going to go to all the time and trouble to return the items. I would like to have these on hand as well. I don't think I'll buy more food products from Amazon because this brand is hard to find elsewhere. The case of 1200 cal Bars arrived in their original case with no packing or outside shipping container. It's hard to tell how many bars have been damaged. The bars are 6 months past their manufactured date, so they lost some time, but they are better than the 2400 cal Bars. I tried some bars with damaged wrapping and was hopeful that the bars were not sitting in the warehouse for 6 months with broken wrapping. The bars tasted like a dry, crumbly sugar cookie that smelled and tasted like apple cinnamon. Not great taste but not bad either. The 1200 call Bars are easier to eat than the 2400 call Bars. The 1200's are very thin. The 1200 cal Bars are more expensive than all but the cal 400 Bars. When the damaged items and lost storage time are taken into account, it's even more so.

👤The packs of bars were purchased at a cost of $120. The value per calories is really good. I've seen emergency food bars that are 3x the price on Amazon. A decent deal. Only one of the 40 items was fully sealed. Not bad considering the reviews I've read of other brands. I don't trust that product to be safe to eat in the long term because I didn't receive undamaged product. Oh well. The taste is like a dense pound cake with a little lemon flavor. I'm sure it would get tiring fast. The brick of food is hard to eat, but once you snap it is easy to eat. The brick of food is huge. It could be useful to divide portions into emergency car or hiking snacks. The package says that it is not thirst provoking, and that you will not be in for a fun time if you don't drink water with it. I recommend drinking water with it.

👤I'm very sad. The bars I received were already one year old, so they will not last 5 years. I will find them fresh when I return them.

👤Solid, good taste. It's great with coffee. If I had to, I could live off of these.

👤The shelf life is 5 years. They only have 4 years left for life after I received these bars. The product is good and I got it fast. Thank you!

7. Datrex 3600 Emergency Food Bar

Datrex 3600 Emergency Food Bar

Each bar can be eaten in six portions with a total of 2400 calories. There are 18 bars with 200 calories per bar. It is packaged in a way that makes it easy to ration and store in your survival and disaster kit. All natural ingredients with superior coconut flavor. The small and lightweight is USCG approved and has a 5 year shelf life. A high energy value and ready to eat.

Brand: Stansport

👤I got the full life from my pack, which was packed in July of last year. I bought this to see if it worked out. The directions say to eat 1 bar every 6 hours at sea and 4 hours on land. It's 4 bars per day since you won't be awake for 24 hours. You could go 4 days on that metric. I only had 3 bars on my first day. It's possible to go for 5 days. I only ate 25% of my normal intake, so I felt weaker throughout the day. I have a very physically demanding job. It's a good test to me. The bars are wrapped. They look like someone crushed a bunch of dog biscuits and compressed them into a bar that was three times as thick. The individual wrappers are not sealed. They are hard to unwrap, and you will have to break the bar into pieces to open it. The bar is very brittle and can easily fall. It's basically the same flavor as a slightly old graham cracker. You could put it on a cheese cake. If you drink a little water with it, you can have it in your mouth for a while.

👤The portable calories are waterproof. Perfect emergency food. There were no strong reactions among the people I've had try them. These are supposed to be coconut flavor, but I didn't like it at all, they taste like a graham cracker. It's a good thing that these are easy to eat for people with poor or no teeth as the texture is very crumbly. Emergency ration should be easy to eat and neutral. If you need to bust into these, there's no reason you should have to eat terrible food because the situation is already bad. They're not good enough for anyone to get into them without a need. Not good for frivolous snacking. When you last heard someone say "I'm craving some emergency ration!" Nope, me not. It helps if you aren't really good at making sure they're there when you need them. The outer package is easy to open, but the inner plastic shrink wrap on the individual bars was difficult to open. It is doable, but a knife or sharp object will make it easier. They made good s'mores. The leftovers from the tester packages were not as good as normal crackers, but we had to find something to do with them.

👤I haven't tried them yet because I purchased them for shelf storage. I only bought one pack because I wanted to try them, but my husband said no. My review is based on the packaging. I bought them on 4-13-2017. The manufacturing date is 9-15, and only just now been noticed. These are 1.5 years old. I know they have 3 years left on them, but when I asked the seller about the shelf life, he said they have a 5 year shelf life. All of our stock is new. I'm not happy that I'm losing shelf life, but I only paid $9 for them. I'm not going to complain to the company and have no plans to return them, but just be aware that when you receive them, they may not have 5 years of shelf storage left. The package was vacuum sealed and arrived quickly. The instructions are printed on them at sea and land. I don't have to worry about remembering. There are drinking water tips in emergency situations. I'll update my review if I can convince the husband to open them. If it had full shelf life, I would have given it 4 stars.

8. Toughest Emergency Blankets Marathon Survival

They help protect the wild places they love by donating a percentage of their sales.

Brand: Don't Die In The Woods

👤I thought it was better. I'm the kind of person who will test items before an emergency strikes. The emergency blankets are cheap, but they are not as strong as the larger ones. I tried to open it. It was not easy to do. I was impressed. I gave the test to a 6 year old and said have at it. It had minimal damage. No more ripping or anything like that. Very impressive. It's good to have a bug out bag or car just in case.

👤I got these today. I pulled one out to see if it was tear resistance. I pulled it on and it ripped. The material used to make the grocery bag is not as strong as the Walmart bag. Don't waste your money. I'm going to return them tomorrow.

👤All four of them have their own bag for storage, and that the main holder is made of durable fabric. I wore one around the house. It got warm. The material felt strong. I had to put it back in the pack because ofadhd issues. I put it in the bag after my 3rd attempt because I didn't get all my lines right. Will purchase again from this company.

👤I don't like giving bad reviews. These are very small trash bags. I compare these to dollar tree table covers. I was not happy with the quality.

👤I like the way these are packaged. There is a bag in the zip up case. Excellent quality all around.

👤For limited use or emergency only, there is permission. I thought they were bigger. Would have been better for camping.

👤This is a great blanket. Sturdy, big. If you have to walk to town in the dessert because your car broke down and there is no phone service, you should keep at least one in your car. There are many reasons to keep these in your car or on a walk. You have a lean-to if you add a 20' piece of rope. This is a great brand.

9. Katadyn NRG 5 Emergency Food Ration

Katadyn NRG 5 Emergency Food Ration

The weight of the box is 1.8 lbs. The bottle dimensions are 7.5 x W 5 x D. Emergency food ration is in waterproof packs and in a convenient pocket size. The biscuits are compressed high energy. Relief operations during natural or man-made disasters, emergency preparedness, outdoor activities, and as a food supplement are some of the uses of the NRG-5 ration. The air sealed packaging has a shelf life of 20 years. A 500g pack contains 9 individual bars with an energy value of 260 kcal each, which are vacuum-welded together in an aluminum foil. A 500g pack offers more than an average daily emergency of 1800-2000 kcal.

Brand: Katadyn

👤I bought two of them, one to try and the other to store for emergencies. Emergency ration bars are not meant for fun or very enjoyable situations. They're meant to provide energy and calories to keep you alive in a disaster. They're manageable if you're not picky. They're cheaper than most others, and better packed, and will take up less space. If you're careful, you can break off small pieces to eat without getting crumbs everywhere. They are wrapped individually in a vacuum sealed pack. If the sealed thing remains open, they will last up to 25 years. Have some water with you. If you don't have anything to drink, they'll be hard to eat. It's very unlikely for them to rot or mold because they have no water in them, which is a good thing. An economical emergency-pack choice. The box says it's made in Germany. I had some over a couple days. I had them as morning snacks to get me up and going, and maybe give me more energy to make more food. At first, they're not bad. If you chew slowly and don't rush yourself to choke it down, you will produce enough saliva to make it decent. Going slower is better for your digestion. So. I started to like it and was a little disappointed that I didn't have more to snack on. I had no issues after that. I think they're a good choice. They have a lot of sugar overall. What do you think the purpose of these is? These aren't fancy healthy meals you make from stuff you bought at WholeFoods. They're ration bars. It's meant to keep you alive long enough to get home in an emergency. Jeez, yeah. You're not supposed to eat them all the time. Some people don't know what survival ration is.

👤The survival ration is 25 years shelf stable and temperature stable. It's perfect to put in your boat, cabin or wherever you need it. If you want something that's not boring while you enjoy yourself at the gym or do selfies on a trail, go somewhere else. It tastes like a bag of mini wheats. It's designed to keep you alive if things get bad. Period. You need to make sure you have water in hand before you eat it, it will seriously dry your mouth out. There is no way to reseal it after opening it, so keep it in a bag. This is a survival ration. It is necessary to have shelf stability and ease of use in an emergency. It's not something that it is, stop trying to make it that way.

👤It is a good idea to trade calories for shelf live over life raft ration. I usually get 3600 calories life raft ration for $8 but they only have a 5 year shelf life. The flavor is ok but you will need water to drink. It is the equivalent of eating sweetened chalk. We don't buy these for a Saturday afternoon snack, but we do buy them for emergencies and for the calories, shelf live, and price they are well worth the investment.

10. Quakehold 70501 Evacuation Essentials Plus

👤I live in Florida and it's important to be prepared for hurricanes. Simple items are the pros. It was cool to have in the case of an emergency. If you think it's necessary, you should have that at your place of work. I can not complain for $10 The Ready America 2 Person Kit contains many items. Amazon wouldn't display the review I created for it. I don't know why. That is the second time that has happened to me. I wasn't very fond of the product. I would be disappointed in Amazon if that was the reason. Very cheap items are included. Better items can be found at your local discount store. - It is nice to have this in case of an emergency, but not high quality.

👤This was a great stocking stuffer. I wouldn't depend on this for survival for more than a day in the summer.

👤No es asi, pero aparece fue.

👤I split it up so that I have the basics in my kit at home, but if an earthquake or tornado hits my place of business, I'll still have water, a power bar, and a blanket.

👤This was added to my kits. It was nicely packaged. Will not open until I need it. Thanks.

👤I put them in the back of my car and in my emergency closet. I hope I don't use them, but they will be there either way. I will put them in water tight containers and add small items.

👤The product is as described, but there wasn't a fastening. The lil food bar and water bag are good until 2020. The whistle, gloves, goggles, and dust mask looks cheap. I tried them, but I didn't open the blanket, it's most likely a basic product. In an emergency situation, I think these all would help you get through for a couple of hours. I think that is a good small kit to have in your office or trunk. It may be an excellent add-on item for your bag. Overall great value and no complaints at all.

👤I got 2 of this as a request from my old job and now in this tine of quarentine, I founded a very useful face mask and gloves that came with this package.

👤A lot of people think these are not healthy. These are survival bars. They have a high calories to weight ratio and are shelf stable. I like the packaging, it's very air/water tight, and they taste good, I'd be happy to have something sweet in a survival situation. Health food can be found elsewhere.

👤These are not healthy. These are bars for survival. If lost on a hike, patriot sells them in bulk for 100 bucks for 30 days. The lemon taste of the other bars made me buy these. We didn't buy for taste, but to survive. My show ends on 3/25. The seal was fresh and strong. See my picture.

👤The coconut and cinnamon sos bars are small, but they have a good taste. I'm doing a challenge to eat sos bars. I would give it a try for an emergency situation, you never know when you might be in a tight spot.

👤There are 31 grams of sugar. Palm oil, Corn starch, wheat flour... I was looking for a bar with a lot of calories. These have toxic ingredients. Had to throw them out. It's SIGH!

👤I would never have bought these bars if I had known the high sugar content.

👤I opened one of the packages and it was great. The ration bars inside each pouch are sealed individually and kept fresh for days after opening the outer cover. It was weeks, actually. I put them in a container. I only used four bars over the last two weeks. That's using some for at least 4 breakfast smoothies and a couple of small snacks. A quarter of a bar makes a great snack, and I've added that same amount, all crumbled, to smoothies with fruit, yogurt, icewater, instant coffee, and it's great stuff! A quarter-bar is only about 62.5 calories, so it was a good time to get some first aid classes. I'm back in Coastal VA and I want to be prepared for the local disasters. I ordered the S.O.S. Rations double pack. Yes, COCONUT. The packages arrived quickly. It's all I can do. Oh, yeah, with it. I'm going to order more as soon as I finish this review. Great stuff, whether you want it for dessert or an emergency. I'm going to open a bottle of chianti and watch C-span.

👤Why are there so many people complaining about the taste and sugar content? These bars are used if you get lost in the forest. These are not for camping, diet or challenge. If you are worried about taste and sugar, you won't survive. It is plain and simple. If it gets so bad that you have to eat these, you will have what you find and eat, regardless of sugar content or taste. These are good for preppers. I thought I was prepared for Hurricane Katrina. I had a freezer full of frozen meats and food, a garage full of bottled water, and light canned goods. My home flooded into my second story. The freezer full of food became fish food because the generator no longer worked. If you keep food in multiple locations, it won't save you if it's under water.
