👤I missed my poncho liner when I was in the army and was looking for a replacement. I missed the poncho liner but this one is of good quality. It has better stitching than the original. It won't be as tight as the military issue, but it still has a cool feel to it. I would buy it again.

👤I bought this for my husband, who missed his time in the Army. I wish I could convey the joy in his eyes when he pulled this out. He knew it was a woobie when he touched it. He says it feels the same and he has been snuggling it. I would recommend this to any veteran who could use a woob.

👤I served in the US Army in the 90s and bought my own woobie and still have it because I didn't want to use someone else's old poncho liner. I wanted a poncho liner that didn't look like a military issued one, so I bought this one. The poncho liner is not made with velcro and grommets as was written by another reviewer. The item description didn't include Grommets and velcro. The original woobie has black 11 inch ties at each corner and a total of 8 twin ties on each side. It is well made but not as thick as my US Army spec woobie. I'm going to use this nylon blanket as an emergency blanket, to take on camping trips, and to add another layer to my bed in case I lose power in Texas like what happened last February 2021. I am completely satisfied with this purchase. I can't comment on its water-proofness or durability because I haven't taken it outside.

👤This is not a "poncho liner", it is a blanket with strings. It's difficult to wear a poncho because there is no hole for your head.

👤It is warm and lightweight. My cat can puke on it. It is the perfect dose for one person. It is most useful when the temp is 59. I need a little warmer blanket.

👤I purchased a military grade poncho liner blanket. It's the perfect replacement for my army poncho liner. It has a patch attached. Some reviews expressed concern that the item they received was smaller than advertised. My army poncho will fit perfectly in mine, it is the exact same size as the authentic poncho liner.

👤I haven't had a chance to use it in the field yet. It was necessary for me to do a full review. I have seen it and it is awesome. Read reviews of it being the wrong size. I like it a lot, it's just as advertised. I will get another one because I like it so much.

👤It's better in hot weather than a sleeping bag. It's good as an additional layer in cold weather. It makes a good pillow. It's lightweight, doesn't take up a lot of space, and is useful all the time.

Brand: Usgi Industries

👤This is not the poncho I was issued. Some of the vets who commented were younger. I put a photo of the new one on top of the old one. My old one was heavier and quieter because it had a rubbery component. There was fabric visible in the edging. The old snaps and rivets seem stronger. I am not saying the old one was better than the new one, but maybe technology has changed and the new one is lighter and better. I don't know. I'm not saying anyone is a liar. Maybe they were issued a poncho that was lighter and crunchier. I don't know. If it performs just as well as the new one, then it is actually superior. I'll get back to you after 10 years. There is an update. The fabric ripped the first time I tried to unsnap it. There is no way to fix it. My poncho has been snapped hundreds of times over 40 years of going to the BWCA and did not rip like this. Go somewhere else.

👤It was intact and everything. The face part was very small. I will be back.

👤You have to be a little child to use the small head. It seems durable and light. It was not good if you couldn't get it on. Most of the high-end ones I use have a button so you can tighten it up.

👤Not government. Issue is not thick, heavy or waterproof.

👤I was excited to see a poncho with modern colors and a pattern. With a lack of originals available anywhere and an endless choice of knock-offs out there, there's always something to be sacrificed and this one is no exception. The dimensions and hardware seem to be in line with the original GI poncho design, but this one is made of very thin and light material. It will provide good protection from the rain, but it will not hold up long with even moderate field use. The poncho liner I purchased is very similar to the original design and is of great quality.

👤I was looking for a poncho liner in that color that would blend in better with the fall and winter landscape. The combo item was made by USGI. I thought it would work for me. I have my thoughts on the items. The poncho is very thin. We have all come to know that it is not the mil-spec nylon. I don't think it would be waterproof, and I have doubts about its water repellency. 2. The poncho seems well-made and designed, with snaps which work and are properly aligned to allow one to conform the poncho to their body. I weigh over 300 lbs. It worked for me. I think smaller guys might swim in it, but it is not a cocktail dress. 3. The snaps, strings, and cord locks are all well designed. I worry about the strength of the poncho when it's used as a shelter because it's thin, and I'm not sure if it can repel water. 4. The poncho liner is very nice. There is nothing special about it. The compression sack is thin. 5. Both items are not the same color. The shade is a few shades more brown than the base color and I think it is called Chinese Multicam. The shade is not quite right for the northeastern United States, where either Multicam or Woodland can work. 6. I don't believe there is an issue with Multicam/OCP ponchos and liners, so I understand that everything I could get will be some sort of imitation. This product is not excellent. Overall, it is a 3.5 stars.

3. LOOGU Military Camouflage Outdoor Camping

LOOGU Military Camouflage Outdoor Camping

Pack your survival blanket in the BONUS matching bag and take it with you on your next hiking, camping or backpacking adventure. The poncho is made of lightweiht durable water-resisitant PVC coated ripstop material. A large space hood is large enough to fit in a golf cap or a hat. Put the small size into the camouflage pouch and then into a daypack. One size fits all for men and women helps keep your backpack dry. Muti-use Poncho: Stay dry under extreme conditions with this versatile rain poncho that features multiple ways to protect you from the outdoors and provide comfort while camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, marine, or in dire emergency survival situations.

Brand: Loogu

👤The case was good for its price point and it was able to cover my legs, but the hood only covered half of my head. It's difficult to compare. I would rather buy this at a store that sells it for less.

👤The head piece is stupid. The pictures make it seem more practical than it is. This is an awful product if you don't need to use it as a tarp. The head feels cheap and uncomfortable. There are ponchos that are more human shaped. The head hole cinches up and it becomes a useful tarp. It seems to be a tough material because the opening faces down. I would recommend a tarp and poncho for the price.

👤I was skeptical of this from the beginning, but I wanted something cheap to start my bag. I was initially satisfied with the feel of the fabric and the bag it came in, but I was surprised to find a neck gator inside the bag. I didn't expect a couple extras, which was nice. I put this in my bag and forgot about it. I can't get a better look later. The grommets were cheap and seemed to rip out with the slightest stress on them. I decided to try to find a replacement for the material that felt thin to me. The poncho I found at the navy store was a US army issue poncho. When I compared the poncho to the one I brought home, it seemed like it was the same material. It was obvious that the army poncho had better quality, so I kept it in my bag. I decided that this product was decent enough to be placed in my truck for any emergency. I might need it for something. It will be a stop gap in my bag to get me home. The quality was not tested in the weather.

👤A poncho is not a true GI issued poncho. The material is tough, but only has four grommets in the corners. When I got out of the army poncho had 8 grommets. Can make a small shelter.

👤I've had it for a few months. I stayed dry even in the rain. I love the fact that there are no leaks. Will order more. 5 stars. Will order more. I'm happy I ordered it.

👤It is an ok poncho. Poor knock off. Military panchos are double the size.

👤This poncho can be used as a tarp, a shelter, and rain gear, the nice thing about this poncho is it covers your pack as well as keeping you and your gear dry if you are caught out in one.

👤Go to Walmart and buy a poncho for 98 cents. There is no way to snap the buttons. It was made in China. I weigh 250 lbs. 3 people could fit inside the poncho.

4. TACVASEN Windproof Softshell Tactical Hunting

TACVASEN Windproof Softshell Tactical Hunting

The outershell is made of 100% polyester and the inner is made of soft fleece. Two shoulder pockets, a forearm pocket on the left arm, two front slash, two chest pockets, two back pockets, and a vent zip under each arm are part of the Multi-Pockets. Drawstring waist and hood. Wrist cuffs are elastic, hook and loop. There are black, gray, army green, khaki, and ACU available. The US sizes are S-2XL. The military has a great idea for hiking, camping, fishing and hunting.

Brand: Tacvasen

👤I wanted to write this review to clear up some confusion you see around feedback from other reviews and the lack of good description from the seller/manufacturer. This is not stated clearly enough by the seller, so I will clarify: the size you select on Amazon is already adjusted for the smaller size from the manufacturing country of origin. If you choose a size L on Amazon, you will get a jacket labeled XL. The size I chose on Amazon fitted me perfectly. I had to return the jacket as it was too large for me, and I regretted getting one size larger. 2. I would consider this a heavy jacket. It is not a light weight soft shell intended for more athletic activities. It is a consideration for outdoor people to not consider this clothing item which can be folded down. 3. The jacket has a lot of features that are not described on Amazon. Four of the pockets have their own interior cord openings which allow people to thread headphones through to their music players. The two torso pockets have their own pen pockets. The two torso pockets have their own plastic D-ring tabs, which can be used to clip keys or other items to it. The D-ring is missing in my jacket. The jacket's shell is water resistant. The torso pockets have a threaded elastic drawstring to keep the hood from swinging. There is a back pocket with a zip on the left and right. The hood can be rolled up and held in place by a big flap on the inside of the collar. 4. The jacket from the seller is wildly inconsistent. The D-ring in the torso pocket of the jacket which I ordered was not included in the other jacket. One of the jackets had a bare Velcro patch base, while the other one had a one-inch x 1-inch Velcro patch. One was shipped to me in a giant plastic envelope with a ripped interior bag, while the other one was perfectly packaged. Since many of the features aren't described in detail, I don't mind that it's missing some things, but can't you keep these things consistent so people know what to expect? I was not able to give the jacket 4 stars for my review. The poor product description and the inconsistencies in features put me off. This jacket is cheap and has a lot of feature, which is typically pricey. I'm opting for 4 stars because I believe I'll get my money's worth out of this product. I would give it 3.5 stars if I could.

👤I would like the company to know about my order. I have worn many brands of soft shells for work and I am so disappointed. Quality and pockets are terrible. The forearm pocket is the only pocket tactically useful. Please contact me before I return and write a more honest review about how disappointed I am that I'm expecting tactical to mean it's a capable and efficient quality jacket which it isn't.

5. LOOGU Hooded Military Emergency Raincoat

They offer a one year satisfaction guarantee because they want to provide the best customer service. If you have a question, please contact them, their customer service staff will reply in 24 hours.

Brand: Loogu

👤The poncho was a good price. It's most certainly sized for a person with a small head and no upper body mass. I was reminded of the Ace Ventura birth scene when you sliced your melon through the opening. The hood couldn't be put in the down position. Don't wear a cover under the poncho hood. There is no room for a nice head of hair. If you use the side snaps, you can't move your arms. You have a hot sticky tarp with a small opening for your head if you leave them unsnapped. I was not looking for something that was comparable to GI issue, but this thing is not.

👤The "CP Snow" pattern version is excellent. My interest in this inexpensive poncho was a substitute for over-whites which are lightweight white-ish colored garments designed to be worn atop regular clothing and equipment for camouflage in a snowy environment. I wanted a lightweight option to camouflage myself in the snow, but didn't want to spend $300+ for crye precision over-whites, or $170 for Kryptek overwhites, or $100+ for easily-soaked WW2 style cotton over-whites since I don It's lightweight, with a total of 12.3 ounces, so well under a pound. It's easier to wear than regular over-whites. If you're up in the mountains near the snowline, it's easier to get to your gear in the snow than it is in the snow. You can use it to camouflage your tent or hide while hiding in the snowy wilderness. You can't do this with regular over-whites. It will do a better job of reducing your thermal signature because it is a poncho rather than a jacket, and you can use it as an improvised tarp shelter. The synthetic thread has the right amount of shine to match the snow. The shine might be a negative if you were to get a poncho in a different camo pattern. The shine of the synthetic thread is positive because of the high albedo. It was expensive. If you're operating like an operator, your stuff will get damaged. If it gets destroyed by hard use, it's not hard to replace. This is my top pick for over-whites or personal snow camouflage. It's cheap, lightweight, and has many uses. It is nearly perfect for the money and I have no remorse.

👤This is not military gear. The pattern is not what the military uses and will not be accepted if you try to turn it in. It's cheap for a reason. Save money.

👤If you have a head that is above medium, you should not buy poncho because it won't fit through. If you have a small head or medium head, you'll be fine, I love it. It is very lightweight and has a nice touch ofDurability in it, it is tapped up good and the stitching is on point, it doesn't have a crazy smell. I believe if they fix the size on the hood they would get a lot of reviews.

👤The head piece is too small to fit on a bike. I like to wear a baseball cap on to keep the rain off my glasses, but it is very difficult to get a baseball cap on and off with that head piece that is very tight. It keeps me dry and the overall length is good when walking my dog in the rain.

6. Coleman Rain Poncho Adult Waterproof

Coleman Rain Poncho Adult Waterproof

It can be made in the USA or imported. There is a free.15 millimeter. It is lightweight and packable. Drawstring is adjusted, full coverage hood.

Brand: Coleman

👤I don't shy away from anything that says "one size". This worked out the trick. It covered me from head to mid-calf and had enough room to wrap around me as I sat through an outdoor concert. Quality plastic will hold up for many uses. I could get it back into the pouch it came in.

👤I'm seeing reviews that say it's thick. Did I enter an alternate universe? It is a thin piece of plastic. I don't know how I'm going to wear it. People say it's thicker than disposables. Are they made of rice paper? I don't think it can be thinner. Someone said it's like a shower liner. I've never seen a thin liner. If my memory serves correctly, thoae were even thicker at a dollar store. I want to give Coleman the benefit of the doubt. If I'm wrong, I will update the review. I don't think a thin, stretchy piece of plastic could last more than a few times.

👤I loved the poncho. We used it on water rides. A customer asked about the picture of the draw strings.

👤I love this poncho. I now take the dog for a walk. We are experiencing the effects of Hurricane Florence here in NC and I've taken the dog for a walk twice with my Coleman blue poncho. Great coverage from head to knee. I have a big head and the hood gives good coverage. My face did not get wet because the hood went out enough. There are snaps along the side so you can open it up, and there are grommets on the bottom corners so you could engineer it to be a shelter. You can put your hands under the poncho or in your pockets with it on. There is a hood. It has a small pouch for storing it. I love it!

👤If you have made it to the reviews, you want something to keep you dry, and you don't want to be disappointed in whatever item you choose. I bought this item for my father, who walks with the post office. He wanted something lightweight that he could move in as a top layer in the rain. He was very happy with these. He has been able to use them during multiple rain storms because it has held up so well. It's a big decision when it comes to your comfort on a day of an event that has the potential to make you wet or keep you dry, but these are a good value and solid quality.

👤This is what we expected. I bought for hiking. I've never used a rain poncho before, but it was larger and heavier when folded than I wanted. I didn't bring it with me. I kept my hooded windbreaker. I'll keep it and use it in the future, but this is not something I like. It was easy to tear when removing the pouch.

👤It works well despite taking up a lot of space. It reminds me of plastic drop cloth. You put wood in the back of a truck. It doesn't blow open if it's snap sides. The arms could be longer. Don't think the case will last long. I will use a zip lock when it's over.

7. Frogg Toggs Ultra Lite2 Waterproof Breathable

Frogg Toggs Ultra Lite2 Waterproof Breathable

The Ultra-Lite2 rain suit has a jacket and pant. Frogg Toggs fabric is waterproof, wind-resistant, and lightweight. The jacket has a hood with cord locks and a storm flap.

Brand: Frogg Toggs

👤My husband is a conductor for the Rail Road and has to get off the train in wet conditions many times. He needed a rain suit that he could carry with him in his backpack. I found this one by Frogg Toggs and he loves it. The price was correct. I bought it. It is very light and takes up little space in his back pack. He likes the Khaki color more than the normal banana yellow. It fit him perfectly over his work clothes. We ordered a 2XL because we thought he would need the extra room since he's a 2XL in clothes. He's 6'0 tall and weighs about 230 lbs. The XL fit him well, not tight or loose. The Frogg Toggs is a well-known brand and the quality is better than expected. It comes with a nice bag that you can fold the suit into when not in use. We found the set to be pros and cons, but still got a 5 stars from us. There are many sizes and colors available. Very, very wonderful. The material is lightweight and can be moved around. There are no pockets in the jacket or pants. That will help keep the rain out. There is no access to the bathroom with a zip up. There is a possibility that a drawstring could be used on the pants. If the material gets caught, it can be repaired with duct tape, but no elastic bottoms on pants would be helpful. This is our second rain suit purchase. Frogg Toggs wrote Dri-Ducks. This set is better for us. I don't think so. First suggestion. Don't order a bigger size thinking you'll need it bigger to fit over your clothes. The product has a design that allows for clothing underneath. I would suggest this for working conditions where there is not a lot of movement. I wouldn't suggest it for motorcycle gear. I paid full price for this product and hope you find it useful.

👤I read a review about the size of the product. I ordered a rain suit based on the reviews. The medium is perfect for me. I wanted to help others choose a size. I am a female with a weight of 200 lbs. I wear a 14-16 pant and a 38-40DD bra. The pants fit perfectly, I purchased the MEDIUM size suit. I live in a tropical area. I wear shorts and a t-shirt most of the time. I tried the pants on over the shorts and they were perfect. The legs were a tad long for flip-flops, but would be perfect if I had sneakers or other "real" shoes on. Again, the jacket is perfect. The sleeves were short, which can be an issue for me. I would want to get a large size for a suit to wear overICKER clothes. The MEDIUM is perfect for what I need.

👤I used them for backpacking. There are pros and cons. The light is super. The light is super. This rain setup saved me a lot of weight in my pack, over a pound. 2. It does a good job of keeping your heat in while you sleep. 3. It works great to keep you dry and works better at blocking wind. They had a cons- 1. It's ugly as butt. Someone tried to name me Blueberry. 2. Not strong. The crotch was torn on day 2. They were repaired with duct tape and now are even worse. If you are a hiker who is trying to save weight in your pack and willing to make a questionable fashion statement for it, this is great. It is an extra layer of wind protection while sleeping. I don't like carrying heavy things that I only use once a week, and this fixed that. If you are looking for a sturdy rain getup, look elsewhere.

8. Columbia Watertight Jacket Graphite Large

Columbia Watertight Jacket Graphite Large

Their proprietary technology provides air-permeable protection that's waterproof and breathable, keeping mother nature's elements out, at the same time allowing the inside to breathe, keeping her dry and comfortable. It is a wet-weather jacket made with advanced technology that keeps you dry and comfortable when you need it most. It is light and packable. The rain shell is so small that it can be kept at the ready and stuffed in its own hand pocket. There areANDY features. The perfect outer layer, this coat has an elastic storm hood with an abrasion resistant chin guard, a drawcordadjustable hem, and a pocket for warmth in the rain and snow. Columbia's attention to detail is what sets their apparel apart. They use only the highest quality materials. These leggings are worry-free. The jacket may have the words "Columbia" embroidered on it. The product is authentic.

Brand: Columbia

👤The jacket I received is not real. To compare the lengths, I ordered a tall. Look at pictures. The tall jacket is on the left of the first three pictures. The fake jacket has a sticker on it that does not have Columbia embroidered. The tag on the inside is different from the one on the sleeve. The fake jacket has no "Packable" on the inside of the pocket. If I didn't have the tall jacket to compare, I wouldn't have questioned the authenticity of the jacket. I will return it.

👤I couldn't verify if the item I received was legit or fake based on the other reviews. I got a replacement and it had a non embroidered chest logo, a missing packable tag in the pocket, and a non diamond omnitech logo on the left sleeve. I called Columbia to make sure that the product number on the tag matched the number in their system, and they did a great job. They were unable to address the concerns. I contacted Amazon and they couldn't verify if the product was real or fake, so they will open an investigation.

👤I am on the border of large and x-large with most of my clothes. I read it's a little big, so I went for the large. It fits nicely with a t-shirt underneath, but not a lot of room for me. It's a bit snug with a fleece mid-layer. If you're on the L/XL line in most of your clothing, I'd go with the larger one. If you plan to use it as a summer raincoat over a tee for hiking, then I would go with the L. It's fine for me.

👤I am going to hike the inca trail in Peru. We had no rain, even though it was rainy. There is a I wore it during a rainstorm on the way to a house lunch in NYC. It was raining for the 15 minute walk. Put the jack up to dry. When I put the jacket back on, it was soaked all the way through. It's like putting on a wet cloth. Very disappointing. The jacket looks nice, but it's not waterproof. Never did anything with a jacket. There is a Please let me know if you think I have a bad jacket. Would try another to see if it works.

👤My husband likes this jacket. It is waterproof. My husband is a mountain bike enthusiast and he builds the trails. He said that the best days to build a trail are rainy days because they keep him dry. If you are barely a large size down to a medium, you should be measured. The large runs fast. Medium fits my husband perfectly. My brother inlaw is 6' 220 lbs. and the large fit him perfectly.

👤I had this jacket for about a month and I can say it's awesome. It's perfect for rain and a good windbreaker. It's not completely waterproof because I haven't been in a monsoon rainstorm, but it's kept me dry during other rain storms. If you don't need it right now you can pull it out and put it on, but if you need it later you can pack it up. The left pocket has a label that says "packable", so you can put the rest of the jacket in there. Depending on how well you put it in there, the size of a normal picture could be between 6x4 and 3-4" Hope this helps!

9. Mil Tec Ripstop Weather Multi Use Emergency

Mil Tec Ripstop Weather Multi Use Emergency

Includes tent stakes, tent poles, rain fly, and carry bag. All Core tents have taped seams to help keep the rain out. Polyvinyl Chloride coated Ripstop. Carry pouch, weight 1.72 lbs. Poverty shelter, tarp protection, and ground sheet are all multi purpose. There are additional uses for the sleeping bag. The side walls have two ponchos snapped together. 6 brass eyelets and press stud.

Brand: Miltec

👤I got this poncho a couple of months ago because I didn't want to use my Army issued ACU poncho for my outdoor adventures. I found this poncho on Amazon. I have good things to say about this poncho. It took me some time to get my poncho here, but it was just like the product description said. Everything came in a sack that was very convenient. I use this with my space blanket as an impromptu shelter when hiking or camping. It did well with a water test, but I haven't had any severe storms yet. I've used this poncho several times and so far it has been easy to set and break down, with no signs of wear. If you are looking for a well made, affordable product, then this poncho is for you. I bought a second Poncho because I liked the first one so much that I wanted to use it in my car. Don't buy this poncho. The poncho I bought was great. This poncho is terrible. The rubber lining that made the thing water proof was removed and replaced with cheaper alternatives. I would love to get this poncho back. It took so long to get to my home that the window to return it has passed.

👤This is one of the nicer ponchos I've ever put my head into. My old one was plastic and camo and I use it when photographing birds. I think it's more camo duct tape than a poncho because it's been repaired multiple times with so much duct tape. It wasn't bad but I wanted the best one I could find when I bought a new one. I could tell by the weight that this was a topnotch replacement when I opened it. I wanted camo again, but this is a nice olive drab so I can blend it in when I'm photographing birds. The pictures don't do it justice as it is a real army olive drab. The material is thick. The eyelets are strong. This is quality. It comes to store it in a sack. I like this. I started reading after I got this. I bought this poncho liner as well because it is the poncho liners that people use. If you live in a tropical area like I do in Florida, you can easily get away with using this for a sleeping bag. If you're in a cold region, you want a backup for your day hike in case you need to hunker down. You can use the poncho as an emergency shelter by using the paracord and wood spikes you cut from the tree limbs. I like to buy things that can serve multiple purposes and I was not disappointed with this one, I've been camping and packing for over 30 years and I like it. I am a fair judge of products. You won't regret this purchase if you're like me.

👤The poncho is just a poncho. This is the same as if you liked the camo one you had in the army. The ends of the cords are like children's shoelaces and it's a little thicker than I had, but it's still a poncho. It's waterproof for the first 2 minutes, then it lets water through against anything it's touching, and your legs get wet just like you know they will when all you have to wear is your poncho and not your real rain gear. That's the deal. Like me, you still like having a poncho because it goes over your backpack, keeps 75% of the water off you, and it is cheap, so you buy it and are happy with it, like me. It is possible to tie up the hood into the peak of a "hooch" and anchor off all the ends with bungies, just like old times, and it will be big enough to let your face or boots get wet. You can fit it in the pouch that you like to keep your poncho in if it rolls up or stuffs the same size as your army poncho. It is not camo. You are not "that guy" when you go camping with your friends.

👤I'm used to this kind of poncho. I bought this for a camping trip. It served it's purpose well and performed better than my normal ponchos. This is a good poncho for anyone looking for a shelter.

👤It stood up to some bushwacking. When the hood is up, the material makes the 'crinkly' sounds so you won't hear much. The front hem was just above my knee. I wish it was 3 inches longer. The front hem doesn't have a cuff and the rain drips off instead of flowing sideways in a cuff. You need to hire an expert to get it back into the bag. The 2-man tent goes into a bag. Get a small sack. I'd buy it again if it wasn't a problem. I bought two for my pack and one for my ready pack.

👤It was made from a cheap material. The front barely covers a man's crotch. The hood is small and difficult to fit in. My son is happy with it because it allows him to protect his backpack better, but he uses it with an umbrella. I don't see a tall man using it alone and not getting soaked from the crotch up front.

👤So light. I packed this in a small hydration pack. The amount of noise was my only complaint. It's loud when you're wearing it. You have to keep your head down to keep your face from getting wet, because there isn't enough space to use a hat with a bill under the head piece. I didn't feel like I was wrapped in plastic because of the air flow.

👤I picked up a red camp poncho tarp in green for 15 dollars. It is larger than the poncho tarp, but also thicker and more durable. It is stopping. I picked up this poncho tarp with the sleeves for a few cents more. It is a good deal. The fabric is not ripstop. It will go in my large collection of poncho tarps, but will likely not be used as much as the others.

👤I bought a poncho to protect my backpack from the rain while walking in Spain. I was completely dry because of this poncho. It was long enough to cover my backpack and still reach down below my knees. I'm 5 feet 5 inches tall.

👤I need a camo one now because I don't smoke cigarettes and wear this thing. We need a lesson on how to properly refold. I'm a scrub.

👤Strong material and good size. This is used when delivering mail to Canada. It keeps me dry. The product is durable and great.

👤The poncho has sleeves, material, and length, and I like them all. The sleeves come down to the wrists, even on my 6 foot tall husband, and the velcro on the sleeves didn't bother him at all. The material keeps us warm and dry, and the length covers his mid-shin, making rain pants almost unnecessary. I will be ordering one for myself. I wish there were better colors. Maybe a green or blue color?

11. Frogg Toggs Ultra Lite2 Waterproof Breathable

Frogg Toggs Ultra Lite2 Waterproof Breathable

A packable poncho is included in the Ultra-Lite2 Rain Poncho. Frogg Toggs fabric is waterproof, wind-resistant, and lightweight. Poncho has side snaps for extra protection.

Brand: Frogg Toggs

👤There was a storm in Greece. Three of us had ponchos. It worked perfectly over backpacks. We were dry when others were wet.

👤There was a hole in the back of the item when we opened it. A hole occurred during production. I requested a refund from the seller as I like the item. I have not heard from the seller or been reimbursed for the poncho that had a hole in it.

👤I used this for my son's football practices and games in the rainy Pacific Northwest, after buying it in 2014. It has not leaked once. It has a small bag that it comes with. I look like a yeti with it over my winter clothes, but I am dry and warm. I wear a baseball cap under the hood because it tends to flop into my eyes. It will fit over a camp chair to keep it dry, and my backpack will stay dry beneath the chair. It has to create arm holes to keep it from flying around in the wind. I keep my hands in my jacket pockets with Hot Hand hand warmers, so I rarely use the armhole snap. Stop looking and buy this.

👤I like it. Frogg Toggs products have been in my possession in the past. I was thinner. I'm six feet tall and I push three and a quarter. I was concerned that this might be too small or too short. Not true. It's large enough. Light weight as well. The packs are quite small and have a bag with them. I am very pleased with the Frogg Toggs FTH101-05 Bucket Hat that I ordered. Both would be great for any activity that involves dogs.

👤This poncho met my expectations. I used these to carry in our packs at WDW in order to use in sudden downpours. They are light, quick to throw on, and cover the upper body as well as the packs we were wearing. The material doesn't make you feel like you're in a hot tub, as you would with a plastic poncho. It was suitable for the hot, humid and rainy weather in August. When a wind gust blew rain sideways, I got really wet. dumb luck is not the fault of the product. This product is perfect for quick deployment and usage, unless one plans on wearing full expensive gore-tex gear in 90 percent humidity to stay dry.

👤The poncho has great value. I used it on the Colorado Trail and it was better than the expensive jackets and ponchos of my hiking companions. I'm 5'2'' and this poncho covers me and my pack, and hits me in the knee. My fiancée is 6'0'' and he loves his shorter brother. The snaps down the size of the poncho makes it easy to adjust the airflow, which always seems to be a problem with ponchos. I didn't feel like wearing it. It's worth every penny.

👤I haven't hiked yet but I've used the product a few times. The ponchos whip around in the wind and blow up, like Marilyn Monroe's skirt. I can't imagine how this item wouldn't catch on in the Northeast, where we're constantly hiking through brush and tight trails. I will take it out in the next month and report back. The poncho is loose around your body and allows a lot of air to escape when it's raining and the heat and humidity are high, so it's not a bad poncho, but it's not a good one. I can put this into a ball and fit it into my back pocket or belt when the rain stops.
