The unfolded size of the rain poncho is 95.7 inches. X55.1 The inches are 243 cmX140 cm. The rain poncho is lightweight and portable. You can carry it with you when you leave. It takes up a small part of your backpack's capacity. It can be used immediately when you need it. The raincoat fabric is 190T polyester and the surface has a special waterproof coating, which can permanently waterproof and enhance the wear resistance of the raincoat. You can wear a raincoat with a 90L backpack and squat. There is a 3 in 1 function in the raincoat. The size is 95.1X55.1inches and it can be used as a tent with ropes and poles. It has a wide range of applications. It can be used for outdoor activities. The hood and sleeves of the raincoat are made of waterproof material and have a hood and sleeves that fit the head better and keep the neck dry.
👤I walk/bike/longboard to work. I wanted to be better protected from rain and snow now that fall has begun. It was the first time in a rain storm that it held up. It was dry when I arrived to work. I love the sleeves and length in the back of my backpack. The small size makes it easy to pack and carry, so you are always prepared for the weather.
👤I had many Poncho's but most of them didn't have sleeves so I'm happy to have this one.
👤My daughter moved to a college with more buildings. This is a very effective way to keep her and her backpack dry when running in the rain. This was a perfect solution because umbrellas weren't protecting her backpack. She has a lot of trouble folding it back into the package after it dries out.
👤It's well made. A smell. It's not bad. I wear a medium size backpack and it fits well.
👤You'll get wet before you put it together, that's how easy it is to put on this raincoat. I couldn't find myself comfortable with the material.
👤You would expect a poncho to last up to 1 use. Well done.
👤It is large and thick enough to cover my backpack. I use it when it rains.
👤Good coverage and very versatile. Great job.
Premium packable rain poncho is perfect for travel and pop up showers. The poncho style transitions from season to season. Pull over hood will keep you dry. The mesh carry case has packs in it. One size fits all. Machine wash cold with like colors, delicate cycle with cold water and mild soap. Do not use bleach. It was tumble dry. Remove quickly. If necessary, a cool iron.
👤I bought this poncho for my trip to Disney World. It is huge in both width and length. I'm so thankful. I was able to wear my backpack under the poncho. I looked ridiculous but it kept everything dry. Is anyone really wearing a bright red rain poncho because they are trying to be cute? Under both arms are snaps. These snaps can be used to create arm holes. It's pretty durable for multiple uses. The mesh baggie is great for keeping things organized.
👤The product is not what it is pictured to be. The picture shows the snaps down the middle of the neck, but it doesn't have the drawstrings on the hood. The snaps are on the side. The reason I bought this one was because the hood had a drawstring. The customer was unhappy.
👤The wrist area needs another snap to keep rain and wind out. A snap or cord for the hood is required. I had to hold the hood to keep it from blowing off on a very light rainy day. Hood is big enough to fit under a hat without it getting exposed to the elements. It is large on me. When I test this in more heavy rains, I will update the review.
👤This one is going back. I bought several rain ponchos for the family, this one and some from another brand, and this one is being returned because when I put it on, the hood made me look like Kenny from South Park. It blocks all peripheral vision and makes you look like a dog at the vet. Since there are no adjustments, you can only fold the hold back, which is not ideal. If you were just walking around in the rain, this poncho is a good option, but I use it for riding my e-bike in the rain, and the loss of side vision makes it a pass. There is a reason the girl in the photo is holding the sides back.
👤I bought this to keep in the trunk in case I need to change a tire or if I need to use both hands. It's great for that purpose. The material is thicker than I expected and should be used again. The neck is tight enough to fit over my head. The hood extends three inches out from my head, so it's not in my way, but it gives good cover for my eyes. I'm 5'7" and the'sleeves' cover my arms to my hands and come to just below my knees in front and back. I think this will do the job for brief or unexpected rain. If you are trying to get something done, you may have to push parts of it out of the way. If you will be out in the rain for a long period of time, you may want to look into a "rain suit". It is not easy to refold it to get it back in its pouch. I would buy it again.
Their disposable rain ponchos are made from Eco-friendly and Non-toxic PE material. This poncho is tear- resistant and durable to keep you dry in the rain. Each poncho is lightweight and portable, and easy to carry with you, and you can put it in pocket, purse, backpack, or wallet. There is no need to worry about the heavy weight or space consuming things. It is the best choice to pack light. This poncho is perfect for sudden rain when you are in Disneyland, concert, corporate events, theme parks, camping, hiking, tailgating, fishing, travel, sports stadium, outdoor survival, festivals or any other outdoor activity. The poncho has air flow design to eliminate sauna effect. There is room for a backpack. The hood keeps the head and neck area dry. Don't worry about blowing off the hood. It's suitable for most people, including adults, teens, men and women, and is 50 inches wide and 40 inches high. Colorful ponchos are more beautiful than transparent ponchos.
👤I bought this to be used in case I got caught in a rain. These are a handy item to have around for bad weather. The price is right for a bag, glove box, etc.
👤These ponchos are small and fit into your purse, and you can tie them around your neck if you need to. It keeps you dry and protects you from getting wet. I'm very happy to have them in my car for emergencies. If you need one in a pinch, you can pull one out and put it on if you have one in the trunk or saddlebag. These were well packed and no damage was done.
👤Happy to use ponchos. The quality is excellent and not like cheap plastic bags. The rain ponchos did not have a bad smell when I received them. I am not sure. I'm pretty sure that they're durable enough for me to reuse them again and again. I don't like throwing rain ponchos after one use. The price is appealing to me and I decided to order it at once. There are no regrets. This is a great deal to have. It's a good idea to recommend it.
👤I ordered them to go to a festival. It's a great price. They were perfect for what we needed, they were good quality, good fit, and we used them one day.
👤I'm putting them in the cars because of the grandkids sporting events this summer.
👤The ponchos are great for travel. They can be thrown in a travel bag. During the afternoon rain storm, these came in handy as they saved a lot of money compared to the ones sold at the parks.
👤We were able to wear them multiple times. They did not cover our arms well. They were small on my husband.
👤I loved the ponchos. They could be carried in your purse or backpack. They are light and strong. I have used one of the ponchos several times and it has never torn, I am very satisfied with my purchase.
It is reliable anddurable. Onewind's Rain Poncho for adults is a great way to stay dry and comfortable while on a backpacking trip, hiking, fishing trip or camping. Their poncho has a lightweight yet durable material. The arm holes and bottom are loose and comfortable to wear. Men and women can stay dry with this poncho. You can order yours today.
👤Ex-military survivalists say that a poncho always goes with them. The heavy military variety is what they are generally speaking of, and whether or not you need something lightweight that packs small is up to you. This poncho is what I needed. I was going to show how versatile this poncho is, but I forgot how well-done the sales page is. I can't add anything to the photos and video except my own observations and experience. What you see in the photos and video is what you will get. The poncho is lightweight and well-made for its size, and the price is very good for something made from sil-nylon. The guy who claimed you have to be small to use this is a disgrace. Either he got something different from what I received, or he is the size of a giant. I have plenty of room because I am over 200 lbs and wear a large hat. One important thing is that there is an excess of material at the neck area so that you can easily turn your head to both sides with the poncho tightened around your face or with a hat on. The "stuff sack" is not really a stuff sack, but a fold and roll it up as tight as you can before putting it in, which is the only thing I would prefer to be different. The poncho is never going back into that sack once you get it out. I understand that camping companies like to show how small an item can be, but nobody will do anything to get it back into that sack. I would prefer a bigger sack that I could stuff the poncho into without a lot of effort. The item has a weight of 258g or 9.1oz. The weight of whatever you decide to use to keep it in. I am carrying a bag. I can squeeze the air out of the room to make a small package, because there is plenty of room. I can see a use for hammock campers. I believe that the poncho could be used as a wind-breaker for your hammock or as an underquilt protection. It's just a thought. Every camping trip, this poncho is with me. It is light enough for backpacking and small enough for car camping. All in all, a great job, OneWind! It was worth the price and 5 stars.
👤Since getting this poncho, I've converted back to ponchos. It's light and covers past the knees. The strap is short so that it can only be gathered in front or back, and it also has a special design to tailor it in so that it doesn't blow around. I'm going to sew some extra gross grain to the strap to make it wrap around the waist. One reason I switched back to a poncho was because it is long enough to fit in shorts but still has a pack on it. I can put the poncho on without taking my pack off. It doesn't flap around much in the wind and is easier to vent than a rain jacket. It can be used as a tarp, can be put pack on/off with it on, and can be a bit unwieldy to put on if very windy.
A modernized version of the military poncho. 100% waterproof. It can be put into its own pocket for storage. One size fits most. The main material is water resistant.
👤I finally wore my poncho today. I decided to add this poncho to my collection because of the reviews that I have received. It looks like it is constructed well and has a tactical look to it. I was curious about the poncho's "soft shell" feel. It was a nice feature that it was stored inside of itself. I give this one star because it fails at keeping me dry. I used it for the first time outside in a light rain for 15 minutes. There is a seam or stitching in every place. There are places where the water soaked through the taping. The fabric might be thicker. It is completely unacceptable for a poncho of this price to fail in such light conditions. The picture shows the water coming past the taped seam at the back of the neck. The front of the neck is shown in picture #3.
👤Very disappointed. I was soaked to the skin in less than an hour after walking in this.
👤The poncho looks high speed at first glance. It's a testament to the weight of the design that it will stand up to anything. It fails at keeping you dry. I tested mine in the rain. I was impressed for the first 30 minutes. I felt something moist. A little maneuvering. I noticed a large damp spot behind the taped seams. I was surprised but didn't want to stop testing. I knew the poncho was going back after about an hour. Water was leaking out of the interior at the seals at every point where there was an external seam. There was a big mess along the seams when turning the inside out. If you're not hiking, or using the poncho as a hooch, there's an hour to be out in the rain. It's sad because this poncho is really sharp. It's not an effective one. My went back.
👤They want you to address the parameters of light weight until wet. Every seam leaks. There are lots of patches and Velcro placements. It hurts. Those with a tactical fetish are overpriced. I have a few of their bags. They should stick with it.
👤It is not 100% water proof, like many other people have said before. Other people have said that it leaks at the seams. After an hour of rain, it started leaking. My solution is a spray. Hopefully this works. The Poncho looks and feels great. I don't mind how big it is!
👤My friends have been using this poncho for a long time and I finally bought one. They are comfortable and can be used a lot. I used mine on a 4 day camping trip, with rain for 3 of those days. The poncho didn't get in the way of what I was doing and kept me warm. I have a beard and it was a little inconvenient in the neck area, so I would like to see a slightly larger neck opening. It was great except for that. It was easy to fold it up and put it in the pouch, and the small form factor made it a no-brainer to leave it in the truck for bad weather. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend one. I wish I had bought one sooner.
Their proprietary technology provides air-permeable protection that's waterproof and breathable, keeping mother nature's elements out, at the same time allowing the inside to breathe, keeping her dry and comfortable. It is a wet-weather jacket made with advanced technology that keeps you dry and comfortable when you need it most. It is light and packable. The rain shell is so small that it can be kept at the ready and stuffed in its own hand pocket. There areANDY features. The perfect outer layer, this coat has an elastic storm hood with an abrasion resistant chin guard, a drawcordadjustable hem, and a pocket for warmth in the rain and snow. Columbia's attention to detail is what sets their apparel apart. They use only the highest quality materials. These leggings are worry-free. The jacket may have the words "Columbia" embroidered on it. The product is authentic.
👤The jacket I received is not real. To compare the lengths, I ordered a tall. Look at pictures. The tall jacket is on the left of the first three pictures. The fake jacket has a sticker on it that does not have Columbia embroidered. The tag on the inside is different from the one on the sleeve. The fake jacket has no "Packable" on the inside of the pocket. If I didn't have the tall jacket to compare, I wouldn't have questioned the authenticity of the jacket. I will return it.
👤I couldn't verify if the item I received was legit or fake based on the other reviews. I got a replacement and it had a non embroidered chest logo, a missing packable tag in the pocket, and a non diamond omnitech logo on the left sleeve. I called Columbia to make sure that the product number on the tag matched the number in their system, and they did a great job. They were unable to address the concerns. I contacted Amazon and they couldn't verify if the product was real or fake, so they will open an investigation.
👤I am on the border of large and x-large with most of my clothes. I read it's a little big, so I went for the large. It fits nicely with a t-shirt underneath, but not a lot of room for me. It's a bit snug with a fleece mid-layer. If you're on the L/XL line in most of your clothing, I'd go with the larger one. If you plan to use it as a summer raincoat over a tee for hiking, then I would go with the L. It's fine for me.
👤I am going to hike the inca trail in Peru. We had no rain, even though it was rainy. There is a I wore it during a rainstorm on the way to a house lunch in NYC. It was raining for the 15 minute walk. Put the jack up to dry. When I put the jacket back on, it was soaked all the way through. It's like putting on a wet cloth. Very disappointing. The jacket looks nice, but it's not waterproof. Never did anything with a jacket. There is a Please let me know if you think I have a bad jacket. Would try another to see if it works.
👤My husband likes this jacket. It is waterproof. My husband is a mountain bike enthusiast and he builds the trails. He said that the best days to build a trail are rainy days because they keep him dry. If you are barely a large size down to a medium, you should be measured. The large runs fast. Medium fits my husband perfectly. My brother inlaw is 6' 220 lbs. and the large fit him perfectly.
👤I had this jacket for about a month and I can say it's awesome. It's perfect for rain and a good windbreaker. It's not completely waterproof because I haven't been in a monsoon rainstorm, but it's kept me dry during other rain storms. If you don't need it right now you can pull it out and put it on, but if you need it later you can pack it up. The left pocket has a label that says "packable", so you can put the rest of the jacket in there. Depending on how well you put it in there, the size of a normal picture could be between 6x4 and 3-4" Hope this helps!
The material is the highest quality ensuring quality and longevity. It's perfect for indoor and outdoor use.
👤On a 2 day kayak/camping river trip, put a few of these in my ruck. The first day was wet. I had rain gear for my wife and daughter. I was going to try these out because of the rain. My feet... I was loading the gear on the yaks. These ponchos were cheap and awesome. I bought 4 more to keep in my vehicles. I believe they would be strong enough to carry an injured person and also be cut for a make shift shelter. They don't have the same kind of poncho as the GI poncho. You could use them as a rain fly or water catch. In a pinch. You can't beat a standard poncho in an emergency.
👤If you don't want to spend more on one, these are cheap and good for a quick use. It will keep you mostly dry and allow you to ride a water ride at a theme park. It's cheap to buy a few and you won't mind throwing it out after a few uses. If you need an everyday or multi-use one, you should buy a heavier duty one. This should be enough for the random rainy day. Your feet will probably get wet.
👤The ponchos are small for travel. It is only meant for one use. It's not meant for a monsoon, but it will keep out the rain in a pinch. Exactly what I needed.
👤I was far from home when the rain started and I had an umbrella in my bag. It was raining. I threw one in my bag after I bought a few of these. It kept me dry when I had nothing else. It's a thin material, and it won't last repeated use, but I would suggest everyone keep one in their bag for emergencies.
👤I needed a poncho for a trip to the Water Curtain Cave in Taroko National Park in Taiwan. I can confirm that it kept me dry. The package was light and compact.
👤In case of an emergency, I like to keep a couple ponchos in the car. These aren't the fanciest or most durable, but they suit the purpose better than a garbage bag with cut-outs for the head and arms. I think they are as good or better than the ones that you would pay five times more for.
👤This is a great buy for travel, to keep in your purse, car, boat, or wherever you might need it when you are caught out in the rain. It is small so it can fit inside a purse, luggage or backpack. I bought mine to travel. Sometimes it is easier to wear this instead of holding an umbrella when going to the UK because it rains a lot there.
👤I bought this to replace the one in my backpack. I gave it to my friend because he had to take the bus. He used it for a while and folded it up. It's really handy to have around.
👤It was perfect! We were looking for a fair price and a professional seller. Thanks!
Two Pack Measures 84" x 52" Ex-U.S. Army Sergeant tested the aluminized raincoat with PE tear and puncture-resistant coating on four high-grade emergency rain ponchos and thermal blanket. The emergency survival poncho is made with extra thick PE puncture and resistant coating and strongly sealed seams to block out any rain, snow and wind. The company is owned by a veteran.
👤I wanted to give these to the homeless community. I am sure they can use this kind of raincoat, because it has been raining and cold. Thank you.
👤These ponchos don't feel like ponchos. I ripped 2. They are cheap space blankets. The product is an ok price for what you get but should not be advertised as reuse. You get what you pay for.
👤We lost power for 4 days after a huge snow storm. I have 800-273-3217 This is the first time anything this long. It was traumatic. When you 800-273-3217 It was very painful. It doesn't go away because you hurt so much. The cold makes Piling on blankets useless. The cold is looking for you. You don't think it will ever end. I don't think I'll ever take the feeling of warmth for granted again after the power was restored. I bought some Mylar blankets the first time I was cold. There are more choices now that things have come a long way. I was immediately drawn to this poncho, I thought! There are generous arm holes on the poncho that should fit everyone. It's a large size. I have two to keep at home and one in the car. It's bright orange, so I'm thankful for that, in case I have to get out and walk somewhere. There will be power failures in the future. I know I'll be miserable but maybe I'll be able to stay a little warmer with this Mylar poncho. And that is important for a lot.
👤It's too short and thin, and it wouldn't hold up in heavy rain or winds, I'm only 4 feet 10 inches tall. A large garbage bag with a hole in it would work better. It would suffice if you get caught in the rain, but never in a disaster.
👤I was looking for space blankets to keep in my emergency supplies but the idea of my family members having to wrap up and hold blankets around themselves in a genuine emergency seemed a little unrealistic. I was excited to see these ponchos. The material is great, they are nicely sized, have a hood, and you don't have to constantly clutch it around yourself!
👤There is value for the price paid. Veterans love taking care of veterans. The product was good and arrived as promised. It is definitely recommended to everyone.
A packable poncho is included in the Ultra-Lite2 Rain Poncho. Frogg Toggs fabric is waterproof, wind-resistant, and lightweight. Poncho has side snaps for extra protection. The sack is easy to tote. It's perfect for rain emergencies, sports sidelines or outdoor adventures.
👤There was a storm in Greece. Three of us had ponchos. It worked perfectly over backpacks. We were dry when others were wet.
👤There was a hole in the back of the item when we opened it. A hole occurred during production. I requested a refund from the seller as I like the item. I have not heard from the seller or been reimbursed for the poncho that had a hole in it.
👤I used this for my son's football practices and games in the rainy Pacific Northwest, after buying it in 2014. It has not leaked once. It has a small bag that it comes with. I look like a yeti with it over my winter clothes, but I am dry and warm. I wear a baseball cap under the hood because it tends to flop into my eyes. It will fit over a camp chair to keep it dry, and my backpack will stay dry beneath the chair. It has to create arm holes to keep it from flying around in the wind. I keep my hands in my jacket pockets with Hot Hand hand warmers, so I rarely use the armhole snap. Stop looking and buy this.
👤I like it. Frogg Toggs products have been in my possession in the past. I was thinner. I'm six feet tall and I push three and a quarter. I was concerned that this might be too small or too short. Not true. It's large enough. Light weight as well. The packs are quite small and have a bag with them. I am very pleased with the Frogg Toggs FTH101-05 Bucket Hat that I ordered. Both would be great for any activity that involves dogs.
👤This poncho met my expectations. I used these to carry in our packs at WDW in order to use in sudden downpours. They are light, quick to throw on, and cover the upper body as well as the packs we were wearing. The material doesn't make you feel like you're in a hot tub, as you would with a plastic poncho. It was suitable for the hot, humid and rainy weather in August. When a wind gust blew rain sideways, I got really wet. dumb luck is not the fault of the product. This product is perfect for quick deployment and usage, unless one plans on wearing full expensive gore-tex gear in 90 percent humidity to stay dry.
👤The poncho has great value. I used it on the Colorado Trail and it was better than the expensive jackets and ponchos of my hiking companions. I'm 5'2'' and this poncho covers me and my pack, and hits me in the knee. My fiancée is 6'0'' and he loves his shorter brother. The snaps down the size of the poncho makes it easy to adjust the airflow, which always seems to be a problem with ponchos. I didn't feel like wearing it. It's worth every penny.
👤I haven't hiked yet but I've used the product a few times. The ponchos whip around in the wind and blow up, like Marilyn Monroe's skirt. I can't imagine how this item wouldn't catch on in the Northeast, where we're constantly hiking through brush and tight trails. I will take it out in the next month and report back. The poncho is loose around your body and allows a lot of air to escape when it's raining and the heat and humidity are high, so it's not a bad poncho, but it's not a good one. I can put this into a ball and fit it into my back pocket or belt when the rain stops.
The rain poncho is light and portable, and it can be put into the included stuff sack. Extra long hood and large hood. The large hood allows you to comfortably wear a baseball cap or thick beanie. The poncho is 54" wide x 48" long and will cover the knees of a 6ft tall person. Heavy-DUTY and waterproof is made from Ripstop nylon and coated with 2 layers of waterproof polyurethane. There are steel grommets in each corner. Rain gear is great for hiking, backpacking, and camping. This poncho can be used as a shelter, tent, or ground cloth. Either tarp or shelter. This poncho has a large amount of coverage when used as a ground cloth or lean to emergency shelter.
👤I have used ponchos from a dollar cheapos to 15 dollar thick plastic ones that can still rip. This poncho is better than all of them. I was hesitant about paying 21 bucks for a poncho. I thought I'd give it a try when I saw they had a real tree for 27. I'm happy I did. This thing is not made of plastic or rubber. It's the same stuff that a tent is made out of. It is light and doesn't get hot. I tried to rip it in a place that was hidden. It's pretty much expected that a knife would rip it to shreds if I put in some hard-core effort. It takes up less space than rubber ponchos. I rolled it up differently than it originally was and reduced it's height in the bag by 25%. I ordered 3 more to keep in our cars because I like it so much. I will be taking this thing with me to all outdoor activities. I haven't used it in the rain yet. I'm pretty sure it will work just as well as the cheapo ones. It is the right size for me. I'm 195 and have a good build. I haven't tried it with a backpack, but it has enough room to hold a large pack. I highly recommend it. Pros: Rip stop material, light weight, not hot, Draw string on hood, multiple uses for survival, great color, not as expensive as others, Nice storage bag, Cons: A little bit more. I think it's because of the rights to the pattern. I received my ponchos in the mail. I bought 3 different colors. The camo is OD green, Gray and woodland. The colors are nice. The camo one is very nice. They haven't rained yet to try them out.
👤It appears to be a light weight poncho. It comes down to about 4 in the air on my shoes body. There is a The waterproof is hot. The thin plastic sheet is professionally applied but has a few circles where it is unbonded. The hood and neck is large enough to allow a head warmer, but there is no visor. This poncho is not a backpacker's poncho. The hood was not located equidistant to the front and back edges. The length would allow a generous extra lenght in the rear for a back pack, and when no back pack is worn, the extra length could be tied/snapped up to equal the front length. Maybe my sewing error is the reason these are quality rejects? It is hard to compare the quality of this product with similar products, but they are about half price, and you have to order a lot to get free shipping. There is a It comes tightly rolled in a cute little bag, but I don't think it will fit there again. I will be returning this item because I wear a back pack a lot. I don't think this is bad for a 6 foot person without a back pack.
High-GRADE WATERPROOF. Their raincoats are made of a military grade material. You don't have to worry about the quality because they offer a 5-year warranty. Theirs is a high-end one. The waterproof performance of raincoat is affected by the W/P 2000mm coating, which degrades after half a year. After about two years of use, raincoat waterproof performance will be greatly reduced, most of the big brands use W/P 3000mm coating. Only 14oz weight. The small bag is super lightweight and compact. It is easy to put it in your backpack. The ordinary raincoat is bulky and inconvenient to carry around. This poncho is larger than the normal poncho and will give you a super size. They investigated the size of most raincoats sold on the US market, and after many tests and measurements, they determined the size of this raincoat. Their raincoat is able to protect you from the rain. Functional: It has a lot of uses. You can use it as a poncho, a shelter tent, a tarp, a blanket sleeping bag, a raincoat, and a mat for hiking. A perfect experience for you is the goal of the company. They will reply to you within 24 hours if there is a broken poncho.
👤I did a 36 mile stretch of the Appalachian Trail in the rain. The poncho fit over me and the pack was very good. I only snapped the bottom snaps as I needed more air. At the end of the day, you are going to be wet from the rain or sweating your butt off in a fully snapped poncho. This is about keeping your pack dry and giving you a versatile piece of gear. The strings and straps that come with this should be taken off. They are mud magnets. They either got in the way or stretched out from the wet to the point where I stepped on them. Paracord would be a better bet. Like you, I rely on reviews. If you found it useful, please mark it helpful.
👤The HD OD poncho was issued to me in the Army. The poncho is still pretty darn durable. This poncho is even lighter than the M 81 and works well with a poncho liner as a bivvy, especially if you have something proving additional protection from the ground. This is a great solution for my in-truck "Get Home" pack as I am weight sensitive and don't plan on needing this past three hard-use days. I would suggest removing the cotton attached to the short tie-off lines and just use 550 if needed. Stay Prepared!
👤The poncho is good for emergency use. The poncho is not close to military grade. The seams are sealed with a thin plastic material that is starting to peel off, so I am not sure if it is waterproof. The cords are flimsy and the grommets are thin. The sales pitch on this product fooled me. Not worth anything. It is hard to get a military poncho. I know military ponchos and am a Veteran. The other brands are just as bad as the other brands.
👤The poncho is sturdy and light weight. I love being a hunter because I can cover my gun and pack in the rain. In Florida, where I hunt frequently, this poncho is what I need. This poncho is not a bulky one like the old green military poncho. Light weight for packing. I liked them so much I bought 2 more. It was raining on the first day of my hunt, but I had my Ameristep umbrella. It's a great combination for a long wet day.
👤This poncho arrived in time. My wife challenged me to put on a poncho and head outside when there was a serious downpour here in Louisiana. It worked well beyond expectations. I was bone dry during the rain. If I need an emergency tarp, lean-to, or tent, this poncho would work very well. I am an Eagle Scout, Cubmaster, and Assistant Scoutmaster. This poncho is a must have for my scouts and scouters.
👤I have purchased other ponchos in the past, but this one is longer and wider. The water proof poncho is heavier than the other ponchos, but it is lighter and less stiff than the military ponchos that I own, so it takes up less room than the military ponchos. If you have three ponchos, you can have a waterproof floor in the shelter because the snaps are perfectly aligned. If you find yourself walking along the side of the road in the pouring rain, the reverse side is a tan color that will reflect the headlights of cars better than the camo color will. This poncho is my favorite poncho.
