Be aware of the knife's seatbelt and glassbreaker. The overall length is 21.59 cm and the blade length is 3.5 inches. It isdurable: The blade is made of 8Cr13MoV black oxide coated, High Carbon STAINLESS STEEL with a black, rubberized handle. It's permissible. The pocket clip makes it ideal for everyday carry. The blade will not slip with the security of the liner lock and jimping. The knife has thumbstuds, a window punch, a wrench, strap cutter, bottle opener, ferro rod, whistle and screwdriver.

Brand: Smith & Wesson

👤Great knife! I was a little skeptical but I'm glad I took a chance on this one. I had everything I wanted in a survival knife that costs less than four times as much, and it has some great features that rival those found in knives that cost more. The blade was very little wobble. The belt/pocket clip is reliable. There are two more The handle is very comfortable and has a nice black finish. Spring assisted opening. It's easy to close. I prefer not to have one for faster deployment. There are four The features include a partially serrated blade, whistle, fire-starter, glass breaker, bottle opener, cord cutter and partially skeletonized handled. The box could be a little sharper, but that's an easy fix, and the finish on pocket clip is already wearing off, which is annoying but not uncommon. Overall, 5 stars. Features and value are great at a low price point. Get it!

👤It fits my hand very well and was very sharp out of the box. The blade clips on the belt. It has taken the place of my box cutter at work and at home, but I use it for fishing. The blade is so good that I have cleaned fish with it. The finish of Every Day Carry is starting to wear off in places it rubs the most, but given how it almost never leaves my pocket anymore this is to be expected. I have used the sticks as rod holders and fish stringers. The wireless antenna ports have been tightened. I have opened beer bottles with the opener and cut fishing line with a cord cutter. I used a screwdriver to tighten the doors. The whistle and ferro rod are the only things I haven't used in a real situation. Everything is great on this knife. You will not regret it. The ferro rod fell off the whistle when I took it out of its slot on the knife, but it was only the first time. The rod would fly out of the handle and into the ground if you tried to spark it. I used a small amount of glue on the bottom of the rod. I am not sure if this is intentional or not, but the glue works for me.

👤The fire starter tried to take it out of the knife. My son was 14 years old. He was not happy and dissatisfied. I felt like I was watching a Bum as he went from ecstatic to sad in 3 minutes.

👤I thought I was buying a self opening knife because the sellers said assisted opening. The opener screw driver, seat belt cutter, and other small items are not useful. I bought a knife from Smith and Wesson because it was at a very good price. I got a knife with thumb stud openers that I paid for. The knife has a good blade. Bk.

👤A decent selection of multi-tool options. The point, blade and edges are sharp on mine. This piece is very sturdy and easy to hold. The knife's finish will wear out quickly. The knife can dull out quickly depending on how often it is used. The spring between the plate and blade release lever is the major issue I have had so far. When the knife is in the extended position, the lubricated spring/part moves freely. The spring jams the blade release lever when you are in that position, preventing you from withdrawing the blade and closing it up. I need to use something thin enough to reseat the blade before I can close it, because I don't know how it's supposed to be secured. Everything that comes on this knife is usable, but it won't work if a proper tool isn't present. The mechanics are easy to understand, but the parts seem to have trouble doing their jobs.

2. TAC Force TF 705PK Tactical Assisted

TAC Force TF 705PK Tactical Assisted

The knife has thumbstuds, a window punch, a wrench, strap cutter, bottle opener, ferro rod, whistle and screwdriver. The spring assist folding knife has a lock on it. The blade is half-serrated. The bottle opener and glass breaker are made of aluminum. It comes with a pocket clip for easy carry. The blade length is 3mm thick.

Brand: Tac Force

👤When I got it, it was perfect. After a few months, the locking mechanism got less and less effective, and when I sat down it gave me a laceration that needed stitches. The medical bills are not worth the cheap price of the knife. I would love to give a good review as I love the look of the product and it was useful when it wasn't functional.

👤I'm writing this from a girl's point of view. I'm not much of an outdoorsy person, so buying a knife or weapon would be pointless for me. Even though I enjoy the look of knives, I don't know how to use them for defense or survival. I can tell you that this knife is very good for the price, even without any knowledge of the specific functions of this type of knife. It's pretty to me. You would think it would be a dull knife, but it isn't. It's sturdy, has a good weight, and is very sharp. I know my review may not be useful, but I thought I would share my experience anyways. It's a good thing.

👤I decided to order one for myself because it is a really good knife, even though I was ordering one for my boyfriend. The blade is easy to open and has a nice serrated part. I like how it has a small clip so you can attach it to your bag or pants. I use it to open boxes and other things. It can be used for many other tasks as well.

👤The knife is pretty, and it would be a good blade if it worked right. Alas... The lock on the blade won't snap into place when the blade is opened because the bottom of the blade isn't aligned. It is likely that I will close the knife on my fingers if I attempt to use it. I will not be using this knife because my fingers have done nothing to deserve it. I forgot about it until it was too late to return it. Maybe I will put it on display. The first picture shows a malfunctioning locking mechanism. The second picture is for you to see its beauty. I took it apart to see if I could fix it myself. I could not.

👤I've never owned a pocket knife in my life, but I thought it was time after watching LNM. I took my safety very seriously. I got this knife with the Prime membership and am obsessed with it. The blade means business. The rainbow looks amazing when it hits light. I got down the one-hand open in about 5 minutes, it opens and closes quickly. The bottle opener is a nice perk. I hope I don't have to use it to defend myself. I know I have good hands with this product if I do. Will recommend to others.

👤This knife is very good. The metal is very sharp, and I like the fact that you can lock the blade from opening accidentally by using a paper clip.

3. Dark Side Ballistics DS A019RB MC DS A019RB

Dark Side Ballistics DS A019RB MC DS A019RB

The blade length is 3mm thick. Premium quality materials are used in high quality materials. 3Cr13 The Rainbow Tinite coated steel blade has a dragon scale design that provides an excellent balance of hardness and resistance. Edgy designs are meant to be shown off or collected. Edc has fantasy forward looks. All you have to do is collect them. Reliable: Provides Consistent Razor-Sharp Cutting Performance. You can count on a knife for camping, hiking, backpacking, hunting, and fishing. The Drop Point Fine Edge blade has dimensions of 4-Inch, 8.5-Inch and 8-Inch.

Brand: Dark Side Ballistics

👤I was finally allowed to have a knife for the camping trip. I beg every year. I picked this one. She did a great job. She was a little dull so we did sharpen her. She was ready to attack bears or wolves for 10 days. She used a lot of cutting rope and was flashed at by children with enthusiasm. by me. The children realized how special she was and took her from me. She was better than the other knives. She never drew blood, but I know she wants to.

👤I get a lot of praise for my knife. It's useful for a lot of things. It's a good size, not too small, but not so big, it stops being a pocket knife. It looks bad. There is only one problem. It's made for a left-handed person. The belt clip is on the wrong side for a right handed person. I held it in my hand. It wasn't a big deal when I used it for a quick thing. It hurt my hand if I needed a solid grip. I found a tool that would remove the rivet from the clip. Finding the right tool was difficult even when everyone has a garage, shed, or basement. It's perfect except for the hole where the rivet was, which is no big deal for me because I really love the design and function. I would like to have a left and right hand option. Leave the clip off and it would be perfect.

👤I have Benchmade Knives. Most other knives pale in comparison. I bought this one because it looked good, and didn't expect it to be very usable. I was wrong. The knife is beautiful and functional. The blade is sharp. The blade can be deployed easily with the large flipper. The joint is solid, and even after many actions of the spring it still feels tight. It's curved design makes it a bit heavy, but I don't feel like it was designed for that purpose anyways. This knife is very good. It's hard to beat at this price point.

👤I don't like how hard it is to open, but I love the way it looks. Balanced out to 3 stars. This is gorgeous. One of the prettiest knives I own. It will open with only moderate difficulty after liberal use of WD40 It was difficult to open it with both hands. I have knives that open with a touch of a finger tip. This will never be a knife. Very disappointing. I don't have the strength in my hands that men do. That is the point of spring assisted, isn't it? I have large knives that open easily. I don't know if it's a bad design or a lemon.

👤It takes a lot of effort to get going with a spring assist. I need to use both hands in order to open the knife. I like the design, but since I was going to use this primarily as a display piece, I don't care about function. For someone who wants to use this for their intended purpose, I would suggest shelling out a few extra bucks for a better quality knife that can be opened with one hand.

4. WITHARMOUR Folding Outdoor Survival Camping

WITHARMOUR Folding Outdoor Survival Camping

The blade of the keychain knife is made of relible 440C satin, which can guarantee you use for many years without worry about rust. It's the first choice for women to carry knives. The drop-point blade has value. Light-weight design makes it convenient to carry. It comes with a key ring that you can attach to your body parts. You can trust this knife around the home, outdoors or on the job site. It is easy to carry around. It is a perfect gift idea for men and women. There are stuffers. If there is any product issues, each Witharmour knife has a lifetime warranty. If you have a question, please email them and they will be happy to provide you with a solution.

Brand: Witharmour

👤The title of the knife is an edc knife. It's quite small at 3 inches closed. I keep this knife in my wallet. Most witharmour's blades are made with it, so I'm not sure if it's grade a,b, or c. MATERIAL Made from 440x steel- the x denoting that I'm not sure if it's grade a,b, or c It's easy to take an edge. The blade is small, but it has features. It's simple and easy to use, and it has a lockback blade lock that has a positive lock. Press the lock back mechanism on the handle and it will close. It's a great knife to carry around. Don't expect it to do what a $200 Benchmade does. It's a great knife to take with you every day, without fear of financial loss if you lose it. Does its job without frills. I made a video for this and you should watch it.

👤I only had it for a few days. The blade fits my entire palm from the top of the blade to the bottom, so it is legal to bring it to California. It is sharp and poked me by accident. I would recommend sharpening it here and there as time goes by, but I don't know how to do it or where to do it, but I can always ask on the internet. Be careful. I put 3 stars because I noticed that the blade was not strong and that it opened by itself. Major -2 stars cause could be dangerous for me. I put this in front of me. If it opens. Not looking forward to the possibility of blood and stitches. I have it with me because I am a small woman and our society can happen. If the company/maker would kindly read the feedbacks and update the knife that would be lovely.

👤I like to use knives. I have been a collector of custom and production knives. I prefer the folders over the fixed blade. I appreciate a design that is easy to use and affordable. The bill fits perfectly with this small knife. It's light and sturdy. The small size means it will be in your pocket until you need it. When it arrives, the blade is sharp. The small handle has a good grip on the cutout for your index finger. I removed the funky keychain hardware when I got it. I don't understand why the thumb-button is floating. The knife would rattle frequently when I walked with it. The thumb-button had a higher profile than the rest of the knife. If you put the knife on the table, it would be resting on the button, not the side of the handle. The thumb-button was removed. I may fix a small button-head bolt into the slot because there is not enough purchase for one-handed opening. The knife is so small that my hand opening it is a bit clumsy. It's not a big deal to open with two hands. The lockback mechanism was a little rough when the knife was brand new. Adding CLP didn't help much. It's now smooth after being open and closed about 100 times. Excellent value and useful. This knife is very small and I highly recommend it. It is definitely in line with my expectations.

Brand: Ultimate Survival Tips Be Prepared-because You Never Know

👤This is one page and it is folded up to be a pocket size. Many important things had to be so compressed that a person with no knowledge or even a little survival knowledge will not have enough basic information in several areas that are covered but not well enough to be useful. It is just one page folded up. The additional info that you can find is helpful, but sometimes in some of the apps the video or info is not as complete or as well produced as it could be, and it may not be available to look at when you need it. Being prepared for an emergency is serious. It is great that you are looking for information to be prepared. If you want to buy the necessary equipment for your home and car, you should buy a full and complete Survival book. Is this page better than nothing? .... Yes... If you buy this, you will think you are prepared, but you will not buy a full and well written survival book.

👤This is one of the dumbest things I have ever bought on Amazon. The idea of a pocket-sized survival book is a great one, but one of the first things it says is that you need to carry things with you and not depend on electronics, and the entire guide is full of QR Codes for you to use your phone. It's even more stupid that they lead you to the internet. The diagrams on how to set traps, gut a fish, and tell what different tracks are all useful to look at, but they could be better described in a book. The details are so small that you can't really understand what is happening, and everything is so simple that you can just remember the information. One thing I read that made me want to write this review was that at the end of the "Worst Case Scenario" section, it says that one of the essentials to check off, following a gas mask, is a Bible. I don't know if that is put in as a joke. I understand that people are religious, but the fact that you had to add this to a manual small enough to fit in your pocket is ridiculous. This was the dumbest thing I have ever read, and I have nothing against religion. Don't waste money. You can buy a survival guide. I only give it a star because it does some of what it tells you, but nothing else you wouldn't find in a basic survival guide.

👤The product is resistant to water and tear and has good information. It was possible to put a hole in it accidentally. The water resistance is pretty good. All this info can be found online for free. I don't think 10 bucks is worth it.

👤I like this guide. I can't believe the amount of information in this manual. It's better than most survival books that are full sized. I give away survival kits as gifts to my family members, and this guide is going into every one of them. I notice something new when I look at it. The authors teach the skills in more depth in the videos that you can find with the QR codes. The value is not ordinary. If I choose, I can use the magnifying lens to start a fire. The guide went into my wallet and replaced the $10 I spent for it.

A full set contains a tin case, a tiny ring or chain.

Brand: Eastern Delights

👤The knife looks exactly like the picture. It is cute. I put it on my keychain so I could have a small knife on me for cutting things. It opens and closes well. I think it is a good deal. It was well packaged and got here fast. The'shell'? handle prettyness shimmers in the light. The pictures the seller has up don't do the job. It is gorgeous and adorable, did I mention that? This seems to be a decent knife. It's so tiny, you might not be able to use it for cutting things, but you are getting it because it's so small. It is as long as a quarter when closed.

👤The knife is well made. The knife is sharp enough for me. It is easy to open and close. The knife is cute and will be useful for cutting tape. The price was right for the device and it was hard to choose a color.

👤I love this little knife. As a collector of many knives of different shapes and sizes, this little knife is quickly becoming one of my favorites. In my video, I said I was very pleased.

👤This is a great little knife, anyone that is a nice person and collects knife, this is a pretty cool thing to add to your keychain, it is a little bit sharper than I thought it would be.

👤I got this for my husband for Christmas and I almost died when it arrived. So cute! I got him a small knife for Christmas, but he is not a big fan of knives, and this little 12 dollar knife was the hit of the day, with the best reaction.

👤This is the prettiest knife ever! My husband asked if I wanted to kill a fairy. I love mini things. Its not a weapon.

👤Exactly what I wanted. The white shell is even more beautiful in person. It's about the size of a quarter when it's not open. I like how small it is. It's easy to carry your key ring.

👤Even though it's meant to be a joke and novelty, it actually works as a knife. It's not worn in the least, and it's very well made, it surpassed my expectations, and I had it on my keychain for 3 months.

7. USA MT A882GN Spring Folding Turquoise

USA MT A882GN Spring Folding Turquoise

Strong. It was thin. Light. The spring assist folding knife has a liner lock. The blade has a straight edge. A Lanyard hole is on the end of the black nylon handle. It comes with a pocket clip for easy carry. The 3-inch closed length is 2. 75-Inch blade length. 25mm thickness.

Brand: Mtech Usa

👤I'm really happy with this knife, for $10. I was looking for a non-serrated blade to carry with me to open boxes and packages. I did not need anything as serious as my Benchmade, and I needed something a little more "lowkey" than my rainbow 9 blade. I need a cheap knife that I don't mind losing. The appearance isn't bad. The turquoise I ordered is a bit darker than the picture shows. It's just green in most lighting other than directly under a lamp. The knife is easy to unfold, but I wouldn't worry about it unfolding on its own. The spring is strong, so it's difficult to close, you really have to slam that thing shut. It's sturdy and secure and doesn't feel like it will fold when I push on it. The top coat of paint on the house is not very noticeable as it has begun to scratch off some of the corners. There is a small loop on the bottom for a lanyard. The clip is great. It's very easy to clip onto my pocket or pants with one hand, and I don't need to change my focus to use the clip. The design of the clip makes it not get caught on clothing. The blade is not very sharp out of the box, but these are easy to sharpen, so I am not too worried about it. The knife is small. This is too small for my liking, because I have hands that are larger. It's about 3.5" when folded. The entire knife is about 6 inches in length and has a portion of the blade that has been sharpened. It does not feel like it will twist or turn in my hand, because I can comfortably wrap 3 fingers around the handle. I am very happy with the price. If it was sharper out of the box or more accurate in the photos, it would be a perfect 5 stars.

👤It puts the whoop down on any gas station knife. It is not bad for the price. I thought my wife would be interested in carrying a knife because of the color. Throw it in the pile with other knives. The carrying clip has a screw that stays put. The handle can become loose in a few days. Loctite needs to be put in it to fix it. I have never seen the head that is on the screws. Maybe they're foreign? I don't know.

👤I was very disappointed when I bought the turquoise knife. The picture shows that it is turquoise, but it is actually more of a green color. It is difficult to open and close the knife. I have small hands and my fingers are not very strong so it was difficult for me, but it was much easier for my boyfriend. He agreed that it was stiff, but he was fine with it. He was very jealous that it was mine. I ordered another one for him. We ordered the normal silver one. The knife's color was the same as expected. His is a lot nicer than mine. His was much easier to open and close than my turquoise one. Unlike my turquoise one, I can open and close it with ease. It is a nice knife, but be aware that the colors are not what you think and the function may be different.

8. Smith Wesson SWBG2TS Serrated Aluminum

Smith Wesson SWBG2TS Serrated Aluminum

The Black clash is a great tool for any hiker, hunter, angler, gardener, mechanic, Backpacker or anyone in need of a solid, reliable EDC. 10 inch (25.4 cm) overall length with a blade length of 4.4 inches (11.2 cm) and a weight of 8.8 ounces. It isdurable: The blade is made of 7Cr17MoV black oxide high carbon steel with a black aluminum handle. It's permissible. It's ideal for everyday carry because of its convenient pocket clip and ambidextrous thumb knobs. The blade will not slip with the security of the liner lock. The seatbelt and glassbreaker are curios.

Brand: Smith & Wesson

👤I carry a couple of S&W folding knives and they are very well made. The folder is large and strong and has the same quality as all their products. I own a folding knife that is one of the largest I own. The only downside is that it's not a spring assist or M.A.G.I.C. Assist, it's a S&W brand. It's a high quality knife at an affordable price, so you would definitely want it in a collection. If you liked the review, please help me to give honest/unbiased insight into products I have used and you have questions about. Interested in a product but don't know enough about it to request a review? Please let me know. I will see what I can do. Thank you.

👤I know I'm a total knife whore. I was motivated by reviews when I bought the S&W BG2, not just on Amazon, but all sorts of knife forums. I was looking for an edc that was rugged and capable of taking a beating, but also had the emergency capabilities I wanted. Believe me. This knife has never failed me. It's pretty heavy, which I really like. It wasn't designed to be used for delicate cutting. It's like a sword in your pocket. If you're looking for an edc that is just a pocket knife, look elsewhere. It's big! That's okay too. I'm big. You might not want to get this if you have small hands. If you tend to beat the knives out of them, you might have trouble handling them. You might want to buy some gloves. It was very sharp. I have to shake my head because I see so many Q&As and reviews about it not being razor sharp out of the box. There is a If you're in a line of work that requires you to be 'razor sharp' or something, then that's one thing. Why are you worried about a razor sharp instrument if you don't need it? My experience has been that anyone who insists that knives be razor sharp at all times has more scars, and less respect for the blade, because of accidents or not respecting it. I'm not sure. Look. The knife is very good. Anyone that passes on a tool like this is a fool.

👤I own dozens of knives and I was interested in this knife because it seemed like it would fit my large hands. There is a If you've worked with your hands, you've developed them beyond keyboards and manicures. You can use this knife. It will shave hair. You can't complain about the quality of the knife or the price. This doesn't have the bearing system of $100+ knives, but it snaps open with ease. The belt/rope cutter is my only complaint. If you don't pay attention, the cutter can get into your clothing. Not a deal breaker at all!

👤This knife is not a safe knife, the liner lock of the knife at least I received was not well designed or bad quality control, as you can see from others' review. I thought the knife was open when I opened it, but it wasn't. A lot of blood came out, my nail was cut 5mm wide, with a gentle sweep, the knife suddenly closed. It hurts after 3 weeks. I found that the blade was not always locked by the liner lock after opening, because the liner lock was soft, not that rigid, as another knife I bought from Amazon, which has very strong and thicker liner lock. It won't give me a fake lock impression.

9. Smith Wesson SWHRT9B Stainless Tactical

Smith Wesson SWHRT9B Stainless Tactical

Birthday gifts and Christmas gifts are perfect! The Tactical vest kit is loved by children of all ages. Birthday, Christmas, Thanksgiving, or any other holiday, you can surprise a child with a gift. The overall length is 22.9 centimeters with a blade length of 12.1 centimeters and a weight of 7.7 ounces. The blade is made of 7Cr17MoV high carbon steel with a black rubber wrapped handle. It is ideal for everyday carry because of its convenient belt or boot sheath. The blade will not slip with the hand guard. The Lanyard Hole makes for an ideal neck knife.

Brand: Smith & Wesson

👤There are a few noteworthy aspects to a well deserved 5 star product. 1. This knife is a self-defense weapon. The Clip is an easy choice for placement on Belt, Boot, or M.O.L.L.E gear. 3. The Thumb Break can be used for quick release with thumb or index finger. 4. The handle is made of rubber and has a double guard to keep the hand from sliding down. 5. A small brass tube lanyard hole is included. I would just suggest that people do their due diligence before purchasing the SWHRT9B. I see comments like, "Handle is too short" and "Cut my Leg." I want the cynics to realize a few things. A knife at this price point is not going to be a collector's item. 2. The handle is too short for your intended use or expectations. 3. If you don't know how to handle a knife, don't buy it. There is a If one uses this blade for self defense, I believe it will meet all standards and be a life saver.

👤I bought this knife to replace the one that was no longer easy to find. I wouldn't change a thing so far. There is a This type of knife is not allowed to be concealed in Washington state. Not much of the hilt is visible for it to be legal. A police officer showed me a way to make belts legal to carry and deploy quickly. You can barely see the bonus. The belt clip is clipped to a belt and it will ride high on the waist and make it hard to deploy. By flipping the knife point up, you can clip it to the belt. I put the whole sheath between the pants and belt. The hilt is visible and can be used to grab and click away. It almost falls into your hand. Put the knife back in the sheath when you draw it back. I don't deploy it unless needed.

👤The knife costs $16. Let's get that out of the way. I have two collector's knives that are not $16. If you're prone to cutting yourself with this, you should slide the knife into the sheath and pull the button around the hilt. Is it a hilt on knives? I don't know. I don't care. 7Cr17MoV is not a top of the line steel. You know this if you like and buy knives. It is a sub average steel that is very sharp but looses its edge quickly. It is not fair to compare this knife to a higher end Benchmade or Spyderco because it is not trying to be that. This knife is not used for box cutting or Bush crafting. Get me out of this knife. It is light and well balanced, as other reviewers have noted. It has a quality sheath. I would recommend it as a boot knife instead of a fixed blade knife. I keep a Fallkniven F1 on my belt for cutting meat or crafting bush, a UK pen knife with S110V steel on my pocket for work, and a dagger strapped to my ankle for protection if I ever need to use it. It is $16. Get over it.

👤I found these little guys and saw a customer review of another IT guy who said it worked on zip-ties so I thought I would give them a try. I have to cut cables that are bound by zip-ties when I work in IT. I spent a lot of time here on Amazon looking for a small set of diagonal cutters and a holster that would fit in my tool bag, but didn't find anything that was large and clunky. My multi-tool has needlenose pliers, but it is difficult to get them inside a tightly pulled zip-tie. These things work great. You can cut what you want with the hook. It opens like a switchblade, which is convenient, but who knows if that mechanism will wear out over time or not, and allows one hand opening. I use the clip to clip my work keys that dangle from my belt with the retractable string. I can either extend the whole set of keys, or if I need to do a bunch, I can unclip it from my keys so I can reach deeper into an awkward spot. If you think you might use up something like this, it's highly recommended. If you dropped in a dimly-lit area, the orange one would be a lot easier to find. The black one blends in nicely with my work keys. I'll use my spare if one breaks.

👤We will make but to small for my needs. A little bigger would have worked. It is a good idea but not a good idea to scale. I don't know what seat belt they designed for my truck.

👤I like my knife a lot. I work in a school where knives are not allowed, however, this blunt and curved end is okay. It works on a lot of things. If you slam on the cars breaks like other tools that slide away, you won't loose it.

👤It is spring loaded. You press the button to open it. I have used the strap cutter for a few weeks at work and it has not caused any problems. It's light and doesn't drag my shirt down.

👤These are great, but there is a small amount of uses needed as a learning curve, mainly on angles used.

👤The product is light weight and cuts through zip ties very well.

👤The size and cuts are great. It's like the button safety lock.

👤I'm an avid hiker and hunter. I started with a Leatherman and didn't like the weight. I prefer not to have a knife showing when hiking around kids, but I moved to the Swisschamp and have a fixed blade. I moved to the champ and a Buck. It's still too heavy. I wanted a one tool option with a one handed open blade and other tools as well. This model has a straight edge. The one handed opening option is great. There are locks that are secure. The hair was out of the box. The hand is comfortable. The Firefly is a ferrod that I exchanged for a toothpick. The flathead snaps into position half way and locks in the fully open position. The multitool has a saw on it. It is the longest neutral cut I've ever seen, 90 spine sends great sparks from a ferro rod, the spine is thicker than on the champ and seems very sturdy. The pocket carries well and the tool is light. I like that the main blade has a reamer that I can use instead of breaking the tip of the knife to drill holes and clean small animals. It's odd that the can opener has a locking feature while the flathead/bottle opener has one. For $50. The edge retention on the blade would be better if I bought a single bladed knife. The metal is not bad but the edge needs sharpening often and this one is no exception.

👤If I had to run out of the house because it was on fire, this knife would be the first knife I would grab. The camo non-serrated blade is a quality knife that is versatile and cool because it is an everyday tool that I use again and again. I had a few swiss army knives back in the day. I forgot how amazing this multitool is. Put it in your pocket when you buy it.

👤This is one of the best knives you can buy. If someone told me that I would only be able to take one tool on the trip, I would take this. The tool selection is well thought out, the quality is great, and the price is very low. The Trekker/Trailmaster has a beautiful main blade that is easy to use and doesn't have any frills. It uses Victorinox's legendary steel, has a Kephart blade pattern, and is very clean and polished. I don't like the one handed model as it feels a lot more clumsy to use and the blade pattern changes. Some people find that the blade locks to be a must, which isn't very important to me. I've been using slip joint Vic's for most of my life and never have I found myself in a situation where the design of the Vic was a problem. I suppose there are different strokes for different people. The saw is a big selling point for the Trekker. The Leatherman is a better saw than the Vic. The teeth on the Vic saw are very aggressive and make it a very efficient cutter. It's ridged and stiff so it's hard to catch in wood. The saw has a sharp 90 degree spine that makes it a good choice for producing sparks from ferro rods. Some people think that you can't bare down on the ferro rod and produce a shower of molten iron and magnesium because the saw doesn't lock. I've used it many times for this. If you want to bare down in damp tinder, you only have to find a stick that is three times as thick as the saw, cut the stick to the rough length of the saw, and either saw a channel longways into the stick. You can use the stick to press down on the saw and create Ray Mears sparks. Victorinox offers cap lifter/large flat driver/wire stripper, can opener/small flat driver, 90 degree Philips driver, and reamer. The steel that Victorinox uses is the last note I want to talk about. The steel they use is called 1.4110 and is roughly the same as 440A steel. This doesn't sound impressive, but the steel itself has great performance for a number of good reasons. The heat treat is the most important factor when it comes to choosing a knife's steel. Victorinox has been using the exact same steel for a long time and they have a heat treating process that is perfect. The steel is hard enough to take a serious beating but soft enough to be easily sharpened to a wicked razors edge, it's composition makes it very resistant to rust, however not too laden with vanadium and chromium that it easily chips. It's a bit softer than some of the other steels, but it's a roll that's easier to work out than a chip. A knife that can't be easilysharpened back to life is not a good knife to rely on. If you ever look down at your fancy knife after a hard day of work, you probably should start shopping for a better knife. You can grab your closest Arkansas or ceramic stone with aVic and take a few passes between cheeseburger bites to bring it back to shaving sharp. If you are looking for a knife built for real use with no frills, no tacticool black finishes, or the latest snake-oil steel that claim to never need sharpening, then this is the knife for you. If you find a knife that suits your needs better than this one, you should get it from Victorinox. You can't go wrong with it.
