Sambucus Gummies are made with an excellent source of zinc and black elderberry extract to support immune health. Black elderberry extract is made from 3,200 of elderberry per serving. Antioxidant support is provided by the naturally-occurring anthocyanins in elderberries. Free radicals are helped by Antioxidants. Elderberries have been used for centuries for immune support. Gummies are sweetened with cane sugar and organic tapioca. No yeast-derived ingredients, wheat, soy, dairy, eggs, peanuts, or artificial colors are included.
👤My family and I have been taking these for a while now and the company recently changed the formula and the label, as well as them now using vegetable oil instead of coconut oil, and they smell horrible now! I lost my business and will no longer buy from them. We don't deserve to be tricked.
👤They recently changed the ingredients. They have switched from coconut oil to a palm and coconut blend. The packaging says the product is the same as before.
👤This used to be very good. They changed the formula. Why do that? It would be better to keep the original formula and charge more money for the better one. I will have to find a different solution.
👤I make sure to have some form of elderberry on-hand in the house and on-the-go, because I believe it to be a powerful immune booster. It's important that I have an immune support supplement with me because my students are constantly sick and don't always cover their mouths or noses. I take these as a preventative to keep from getting sick, and then as a "medicine" if I do get sick. The taste is good, so you won't dread taking these. I looked at three different Elderberry gummies on Amazon before deciding on this brand. Nature's Way has 60 gummies per container, you have to take 2, and each serving has 50mg of elderberry. The amount of vitamins C is 90. The Zinc is 7.5mg. The cost is $13. Each serving of Sambucol has 50mg of elderberry, and you have to take 1 for every container. The amount of vitamins C is 45. The Zinc is 3.75g. The cost is $10 Each serving of Zarbees has 135mg of elderberry, and you have to take 3 to get 60. The amount of vitamins C is 187. The Zinc is 2.3mg. The cost is $17. The Zarbees brand has the biggest amount of elderberry and vitamins C and D, but it costs more and has less serving than the other brands, which is great if you prefer a stronger supplement. The cheapest of the three is Sambucol brand, but it has less zinc and vitamins C and C. You could double the serving with this brand to 2 gummies, but you would be cutting your serving down to 15 bottles. Nature's Way has enough vitamins to justify the cost, and I don't have to sacrifice serving size, so I won't go through this bottle as quickly or break the bank when I need to re-order. If you're on a budget or just want to try an elderberry supplement for the first time, it's the best middle choice.
👤My entire household takes these on a daily basis. We have done it for at least two months. We receive 3 bottles a month. They taste great, and we all look forward to them after lunch. I can't say that they do anything for immunity. The common cold started with one of us and spread to the rest of the household over the course of a week. There are 3 adults and 2 children in this house. We all took these, and we still caught this cold. I will keep buying them because they are still healthy and the kids love them, but I can't recommend them for building immunity to the common cold.
All ReadyWise Adventure Meals are made in the USA. You can enjoy a delicious meal in minutes if you add water. Backpacker food, hiking food, emergency food, survival food, and camping food. It is similar to freeze dried food but tastes better. It's real food, low in salt, and made from real food. Good To-Go meals are made in Kittery, Maine.
👤I really wanted to like this brand, but I didn't. I tried three different flavors and they all tasted the same. The Mexican dish has nothing to do with the spices used in it, but they are included in everything. The grains don't cook all the way through even when following the instructions. I had a lot of crunch. I hope they are able to continue to develop their items because a healthier dehydrated food option is desperately needed.
👤The flavor is not the best. It is interesting to guess all of the spices in this meal. It is not horrible. I prefer other people. It gives you gas. If you are sleeping near others, I would pass on this one.
👤Such a great product! It's easy to pack it in. It was delicious. A vegan. I have been using a very similar product for years, but needed something vegan for this trip. After trying this, I was pretty disappointed I hadn't been buying it all the other years. I was concerned that it might have been smaller, but it was very filling. This one tasted great. They have a lot of other flavors as well, and I never would have thought of eating one of them in the back country. I will be buying this all the time.
👤I bought these for my daughter, who is often stuck late at work with limited access to food that is free of wheat. They're easy to eat and tasty.
👤I was excited to try this and I found it to be very good, but I was hungry in the morning. I had to pair it with other items to get a full dinner.
👤Fantastic! It was very easy to prepare. It's really good. A wonderful mix of flavors, filling, and smells just as good. A new addition to our camping trips!
👤If you are more than 8 years old, you should take about 4 of these per dinner.
👤The camping meal I bought was the worst. The sauce is almost tasteless. I would have preferred a red sauce from Mexico. The void was filled by it.
Excellent gift for your friends, kids or anyone in your life. There are survival tips inside for you and your family. 25,600 total calories per day. It's easy to prepare. Just add some water. A 25 year shelf life is possible.
👤I feel like what you get is over priced. I have vacuumed more than this contains for a quarter of the price. Don't be lazy. There is not a lot of food in this box.
👤Quite disappointed. Fettuccine and milk sub were good. I could not stomach anything else. It was bad tasting food for most of the time. Everything is compromised of pasta and soup. Extreme rip-off! The company is taking advantage of people. Go clear. Don't buy! You can get a bunch of pasta and soup at Walmart. You can get the same thing at Walmart for a fraction of the cost. There is a I would slap the taste out of their mouths if they were in front of me. Thank you.
👤The survival kit has a good value. I can't review the food because I never plan on eating anything unless I have to. The mile, bananas, and everything else will all be gone in 25 years. I don't need milk or bananas to survive, so why not replace them with something that will last 25 years? One of my pouches had a small gash. I shook the bag and found a small amount of powder. Most of this stuff requires water to be boiled. In a survival situation, you can just add water and shovel it down. All the food and the pouches would need at least 6.5 gallons of water. That's a lot of water. I live in Minnesota, so if a tornado or snow hit, I'd have to eat emergency food. I keep the food in my storage room in the basement with no windows, in either case. I can mix the food with the water from my water heating system in case of an emergency.
👤If you were thinking that this bucket contains ready-to- eat food for two weeks, it doesn't. It requires a large cooking vessel, a heat source for cooking, and a good amount of water. You will need the following to use this kit as directed. A heat source that can cook the good for hours. A large cooking pot with six gallons of water for cooking the food in this kit. It's on me for not reading through the description and product photos more before ordering, but I'd like to point something out in case you also didn't. It's not obvious in the description that it's not easy to split packets into smaller, individual portions because some of the ingredients are clumped together until you cook them. Even though it's marketed for a single person, you'd end up making meals that include eight serving of soup or rice. My biggest issue with the family-sized packets is that they don't need to be refrigerated, but there will be a lot of leftover food, so you'd want to keep it cold. I live in southern Arizona where it's not cold enough to keep food out of the environment, so I'd either need a working refrigerator or just eat a packet of food a day. Milk and banana chips can be split into individual portions, and they don't require cooking. I've made a soup and eaten some chips. The soup will fill you up and keep you alive, but it isn't very good and doesn't have any chicken flavor. It tastes so bland because it already has a bit of salt in it. The smell was great, but the taste wasn't right. I would be happy to have it in an emergency. Assuming that I had enough fuel to boil nearly three quarts of water and then cook it for 25 minutes, and that I could safely store all of the leftovers. The banana chips are pretty good. I will never be able to verify the claim of a 25-year storage life for this bucket of food. I'm not going to be digging this out of the pantry for another round of chicken soup if I'm still alive at that point. I probably won't be updating my review if I need it sooner. The vegetable soup was a good indicator and I would say that the food is filling if not particularly good. I was hoping this would be tailored for me with smaller serving sizes given the product name, because I don't like the large packet sizes. I'm glad that I could try it, but I won't be stocking up on it.
Excellent for removing grease, oil stains, tar and label. The microfiltration is able to remove 99% of waterbornebacteria and 99% of waterborne parasites. Removes microplastics and reduces the amount of water in the environment. All claims are verified with laboratories using standard testing protocols. 4,000 liters (1,000 gallons) of clean and safe drinking water will be provided by the microbiological filter. Every LifeStraw product purchased, a school child in need will receive safe drinking water for the entire school year. There are materials that are free of BPA.
👤You should get a Sawyer-Mini. I have used both on camping trips. You need steel jaws to suck water. If you use a Sawyer or other filters with pump/squeeze action, you won't have to rip out your filling. You have to lie on the ground, and other filters have a straw if the pouch breaks. You need to watch actual videos of people who use these frequently before voting down this post. Everyone uses a pump or squeeze method of filtration. Lifestraws are a great idea, but it is hard to use.
👤I am sorry to have the first one be so negative but the life straw was a total and utter disappointment. I bought it for my daughter to go to Mexico with strict instructions to not drink anything without the life straw. Had she followed my instructions she would have died of dehydration. We followed the instructions from the video to soak it, but we couldn't get any water to come through it. It was too late to return to Amazon and I did not receive a reply when I contacted Life Straw. Too bad. I was going to have one for each family member to have in an emergency pack. I will not do that after this experience.
👤This thing is serious. I went backpacking on Maine's Bigelow range. I ran out of water when I brought it. Bring a wide mouth bottle and fill it with water. I drank from the most disgusting looking hole on top of a lower peak. I thought it would be safe, but it wasn't. Wrong. It tasted like fresh spring water. Better than a tap. I'm from Maine, and I've tasted plenty of water from the mountain springs. It can be difficult to start. You have to prove it by soaking. Blow into it if it still doesn't work. Everyone should have a bug-out bag in case of a civil war, because the world seems to have gone mad.
👤If you don't clear the water after each use, the water will seize up. I didn't run a gallon through either of the break I had.
👤I dropped it from my mouth to the countertop and it stopped working, which is ridiculous. There was no impact at all. It is dangerous to have a water source out in the woods if it can't take an impact. This bad review is solely about that fact.
👤I've used these in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Works as advertised. The system is safe to use. When we deploy, we use it as a standard procedure to have one in everyone's room. It's called Semper Fi.
👤I drank from a steam. I have become a hippie. I'm in a transformation.
👤We got what we ordered. I've used this product before in Afghanistan, and I'm happy with it.
👤The price was right, so I wanted to get one for a while. The water out of the Lake of Two Mountains tasted good and did not have any ill effects.
You won't find tougher mylar emergency blankets anywhere. It is guaranteed. They help protect the wild places they love by donating a percentage of their sales. There are 26,440 calories in the total. 2,203 calories per day. There are Pouches with Food Varieties. A 20 year shelf life is possible.
👤I was worried about buying this for our emergency supplies kit because of the reviews about the packages. When I opened mine for inspection, there was no expiration date and no rips. If you're in an emergency situation that requires using this bucket, I think you can't be too picky. I bought a bunch of emergency water pouches, Coghlan's emergency stove, and the Odoland 22 piece camping kit. This seems to be the most cost-effective way to go about emergency food and water for a family of 4.
👤Good price for tuff package. The package was over a year old. The hurricanes are getting worse and worse in the south, so we bought this. It appears that weather is breaking records all over the world. Its only going to get worse.
👤It was the first time that I got from Augason farms. One of the bags had potatoes in it. Hopefully this isn't a common occurrence if I decide to order again.
👤The bags were broken open. The rest were fine. This problem has been mentioned in many other reviews. There is no meat in any of these items. It's a shame. It's good to have a source of sustenance. Lots of processed carbs leave you bloated and hungry an hour later. Not a good combo in an emergency. I have bought many other Auguson Farms products and like them a lot. This is the first emergency food I've eaten from them. The flavors are good, except for the fake milk. I am disappointed in this product, but it could be fixed easily with better packaging, real cows, and meat.
👤The container is tightly sealed. I hope I can open it during an emergency. It's funny. This product has a very tight seal. I wouldn't doubt the product'ssustainability. I hope I don't have to but if I do I will be happy that I chose a company that took the extra effort to seal it properly. Thank you.
👤I hope I never need to use it.
👤Haven't had a chance to taste it yet. I plan on using them for camping or if needed due to power failures. It makes me feel better.
👤I like the compactness of the meals in one container, in case we need to grab and get out.
👤I opened the bucket to add more items. I'm not happy to see that the packages are not sucked in. It contains no meat or bean dishes, so be aware. Chicken flavors and rendered chicken fat are in 2 of the varieties. There was no fruit. There is nothing in the ingredient list for the oatmeal pic. Not a balanced diet is definitely not. I guess if I'm hungry this will help. The second picture shows how a package looks when I package my own food.
👤The contents are described. Prime shipping is very fast. I haven't tried any of the packs inside, but I think they will be good. There is a bit of extra space inside the air-tight pail.
Non-GMO project verification: PROBAR products are non-GMO. It's perfect for food storage, emergencies, survival, and everyday use. It is certified as being free of the harmful effects of the gluten-free diet. A 25 year shelf life is possible.
👤This is a kind of gruel that makes you feel better after eating it. The flavor is ok. The guy at Augason farms was a jerk. I told him that they make good products. This is not one of them.
👤To test. The dried veg took 4 cups of water. It was brought to boil with a bit of bullion and then covered with it. Great taste. The texture of the vegetable was satisfying. It was bought to supplement backpacking meals. Will be buying again.
👤I've been slowly buying from this company, one product every couple of weeks, to carefully become used to preparing meals from a hydrated base, and the results are indescribably amazing. I have 8 different products that taste great, and every dish can be prepared in less than an hour. A max time of 10 minutes to finalize the cooking and a 10 minute soak in water or milk to bring dried food back into its original soft consistency. From stove to table is an amazing experience in food preparation. The shelf life for any variety after opening real containers is 10 years. It's not necessary to keep it refrigerated or freeze to keep. The costs for any of these products are not more than buying fresh, and with several products, the cost is less than fresh. The greatest benefit of being able to buy any and all of these products is that you don't have to stand in line at the checkout. If there is a way to improve daily life in the 21st century by increasing people's time to relax and enjoy things, these products are the way to go.
👤This stuff is not good. The vegetables in the pictures are not chunks of vegetables. There is a powder of material. It might be dried paint dust. So disappointed and disgusted.
👤I bought this for convenience and it is great. High quality vegetables. It's hard to match the convenience of just adding a cup of pre-cut veggies to a stew.
👤I wanted to try this out before adding more cans. A bit of meat can be turned into a meal. I tried the vegetables with just soup and it was very good. Adding lots of vegetables into the emergency/survival ration is highly recommended. It's a great way to make your own freeze dry packets.
👤I bought a can of this to try and like it. I made a cup of this with canned chicken. It was very tasty. I make up all kinds of recipes, and my latest one is "soup 13". Here it is. 2 cups Auguson Farms vegetable stew. Two cans cut green beans. If you like tomato sauce, you can get 1 can. If you want a little zing, you can diced tomatos from Kroger. I like these more than fresh onions. I'll think you'll like it if you try it. I bought 6 more cans of vegetable stew because I like it so much.
👤We all need to stock up on any brand of food that has a long shelf life. I've tried Augason Farms food along with several others and they are just as good, if not better, than the others, they taste good, have a long shelf life, and a good verity, and they are cheaper than the others.
There are twelve 200 kCal bars in the pack. It was approved by the U.S. Coast Guard.
👤That is what these taste like. Really. Maybe not when you are watching Naked and Afraid in your living room. These things will be the best thing you have ever put in your mouth after 36 hours without food. I was trapped in my truck for 30 hours in a rest area in Montana during a snowstorm. I only had a half eaten bag of Cheetohs and a full bottle of Jack Daniels. I would have given my wallet full of cash for some of these things. I will always have some sort of sustenance in my vehicles. I keep some water in my cars and truck. It's just common sense. There is a I don't drink anymore. I hate Cheetohs now. These things are really good. It's like cinnamon hard cookies. They don't make you thirsty. They are small and well packaged. Get some packages. Put it in each vehicle. You could put one in your pack. For the price and convenience? You would be crazy not to. I definitely learned from it. Thanks for reading.
👤The bars that I got today were manufactured in May of last year. Only three out of five stars are given to getting less than half of the shelf life.
👤I have never eaten in a survival situation. I'll come back and update if this website is still alive. If you are eating your 1st or your 101st you will determine whether or not DATRX looks, tastes, and feels great. The experts and common sense tell me that you should try out survival food before you ever need it, so you'll know at least a small part of what it's like to eat and eat. A small sample won't give you the context of what to do in the winter with moose and other evergreens. They might taste like a steak, but not a moose steak. I tried a few in the comfort of my home. Really? They're factory-packaged in very snug, heavy-duty wrappers, so there's no need to carry around a backpack or accelerate the ingredients' decomposition. I can't vouch for that, it's got a little tropical flavor, but it's not like a dry cracker. There are very few large chunks of anything in them. They're powdery and drying to the mouth. You don't need water to choke one down. I have yet to demonstrate past a bite. If your idea of a survival bar has a bunch of rowdy locals and a line of tappers, you should not click on the wrong website. If you want a product that's been around for a long time, you need to make sure you keep a bunch of these, check the expiration, and set your calendar towel in case. We're back to pre-IBM days, re- ordering every few years. This isn't one of those things that lasts 25 years, even if it's fresh out of the pack, because it tastes like it's been around that long. I appreciate that a company has made the trade-off between taste, texture, and all those comforts against the practicalities of survival, even going to the trouble to print clear instructions about food survival and water consumption on every pack of their product. 5 stars for the product, price, light weight, packaging, and encouragement.
The weight of the box is 1.8 lbs. The bottle dimensions are 7.5 x W 5 x D. Emergency food ration is in waterproof packs and in a convenient pocket size. The biscuits are compressed high energy. Relief operations during natural or man-made disasters, emergency preparedness, outdoor activities, and as a food supplement are some of the uses of the NRG-5 ration. The air sealed packaging has a shelf life of 20 years. A 500g pack contains 9 individual bars with an energy value of 260 kcal each, which are vacuum-welded together in an aluminum foil. A 500g pack offers more than an average daily emergency of 1800-2000 kcal.
👤I bought two of them, one to try and the other to store for emergencies. Emergency ration bars are not meant for fun or very enjoyable situations. They're meant to provide energy and calories to keep you alive in a disaster. They're manageable if you're not picky. They're cheaper than most others, and better packed, and will take up less space. If you're careful, you can break off small pieces to eat without getting crumbs everywhere. They are wrapped individually in a vacuum sealed pack. If the sealed thing remains open, they will last up to 25 years. Have some water with you. If you don't have anything to drink, they'll be hard to eat. It's very unlikely for them to rot or mold because they have no water in them, which is a good thing. An economical emergency-pack choice. The box says it's made in Germany. I had some over a couple days. I had them as morning snacks to get me up and going, and maybe give me more energy to make more food. At first, they're not bad. If you chew slowly and don't rush yourself to choke it down, you will produce enough saliva to make it decent. Going slower is better for your digestion. So. I started to like it and was a little disappointed that I didn't have more to snack on. I had no issues after that. I think they're a good choice. They have a lot of sugar overall. What do you think the purpose of these is? These aren't fancy healthy meals you make from stuff you bought at WholeFoods. They're ration bars. It's meant to keep you alive long enough to get home in an emergency. Jeez, yeah. You're not supposed to eat them all the time. Some people don't know what survival ration is.
👤The survival ration is 25 years shelf stable and temperature stable. It's perfect to put in your boat, cabin or wherever you need it. If you want something that's not boring while you enjoy yourself at the gym or do selfies on a trail, go somewhere else. It tastes like a bag of mini wheats. It's designed to keep you alive if things get bad. Period. You need to make sure you have water in hand before you eat it, it will seriously dry your mouth out. There is no way to reseal it after opening it, so keep it in a bag. This is a survival ration. It is necessary to have shelf stability and ease of use in an emergency. It's not something that it is, stop trying to make it that way.
👤It is a good idea to trade calories for shelf live over life raft ration. I usually get 3600 calories life raft ration for $8 but they only have a 5 year shelf life. The flavor is ok but you will need water to drink. It is the equivalent of eating sweetened chalk. We don't buy these for a Saturday afternoon snack, but we do buy them for emergencies and for the calories, shelf live, and price they are well worth the investment.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and that is doubly true when you are hiking. Treat yourself on your next backpacking trip with a pack of oatmeal breakfasts. Simply add boiling water, mix well, and watch as this camping meal becomes a banquet in 20 minutes or less. These vegan backpacking meals are made from a home-cooked recipe using only the finest ingredients that are then dehydrated and brought straight to your campsite. Light is Right is a dehydrated meal that locks in the original flavor of the dish and is packable. This is backpacking food that you can feel good about, made using strictly vegetarian and vegan ingredients.
👤This is not true and over priced. An individual meal is usually 4 ounces. For the price, I thought I was getting a sample pack of actual MEALs, but they are a bunch of mini bite size packages that weigh about an ounce and are ridiculously over priced. I want this kind of food, but not in an overpriced offering.
👤I am a fellow humanoids. I'm not an issues guy. I like all foods. I picked this up so that my daughter wouldn't have to eat camp food. I tried it. Very large. The fact that it's good for you makes me angry. Ha! The salad was coldprep salad. Not running out of food for the sole. It will be in my backpack. I can try another item if I watch the clock. Jeff is a nickname. No Trail name yet. Jeff, I like you.
👤Are they small meals? Yes. The packaging says they're about 250 calories a piece. That's not a lot. I've only had a chance to eat one of these. I added a package of freeze dried chicken to one of these and it was delicious. It's nice to 800-273-3217 We were not great at keeping the fire up, but the empty package saved us the night. I used it to fan the coals once the fire was low and it kept it going for a long time. Surprise! These are the kind of meals I want to eat at camp, and I look forward to eating more of them soon.
👤Will update review after trying them all. The Coconut Rice and Cucumber Black Beans were down 10 out of 10. This is the first one I've tried and I'm very happy with it. The tester package wouldn't have been large enough to fit me in, so I added two slices of bread. This was worth the pay so far. The nuts give a great crunch even after rehydration if the fruit gives a nice refreshing brust of flavor. The spices, vegetables and coconut milk give the dish a wonderful flavor. I was hooked from the first bite, it leaves you wanting more, not just due to the small size. The price is worth it if the rest follow suit. I will be buying a large amount of Coconut rice and Cuban Black Beans.
👤I bought these and other products because of that. Food shortages are predicted over the next few years. I hope to have some prep in mind. The times we are living in are predictions. We've known this for a long time. Which is why we come to your door. We are not preaching door to door. We are waiting on the things to come. I will not starve. I would be willing to share that with the rest of my Brothers and Sisters. We are already seeing things happening as a group. Just saying...

👤This is one page and it is folded up to be a pocket size. Many important things had to be so compressed that a person with no knowledge or even a little survival knowledge will not have enough basic information in several areas that are covered but not well enough to be useful. It is just one page folded up. The additional info that you can find is helpful, but sometimes in some of the apps the video or info is not as complete or as well produced as it could be, and it may not be available to look at when you need it. Being prepared for an emergency is serious. It is great that you are looking for information to be prepared. If you want to buy the necessary equipment for your home and car, you should buy a full and complete Survival book. Is this page better than nothing? .... Yes... If you buy this, you will think you are prepared, but you will not buy a full and well written survival book.
👤This is one of the dumbest things I have ever bought on Amazon. The idea of a pocket-sized survival book is a great one, but one of the first things it says is that you need to carry things with you and not depend on electronics, and the entire guide is full of QR Codes for you to use your phone. It's even more stupid that they lead you to the internet. The diagrams on how to set traps, gut a fish, and tell what different tracks are all useful to look at, but they could be better described in a book. The details are so small that you can't really understand what is happening, and everything is so simple that you can just remember the information. One thing I read that made me want to write this review was that at the end of the "Worst Case Scenario" section, it says that one of the essentials to check off, following a gas mask, is a Bible. I don't know if that is put in as a joke. I understand that people are religious, but the fact that you had to add this to a manual small enough to fit in your pocket is ridiculous. This was the dumbest thing I have ever read, and I have nothing against religion. Don't waste money. You can buy a survival guide. I only give it a star because it does some of what it tells you, but nothing else you wouldn't find in a basic survival guide.
👤The product is resistant to water and tear and has good information. It was possible to put a hole in it accidentally. The water resistance is pretty good. All this info can be found online for free. I don't think 10 bucks is worth it.
👤I like this guide. I can't believe the amount of information in this manual. It's better than most survival books that are full sized. I give away survival kits as gifts to my family members, and this guide is going into every one of them. I notice something new when I look at it. The authors teach the skills in more depth in the videos that you can find with the QR codes. The value is not ordinary. If I choose, I can use the magnifying lens to start a fire. The guide went into my wallet and replaced the $10 I spent for it.

👤A lot of people think these are not healthy. These are survival bars. They have a high calories to weight ratio and are shelf stable. I like the packaging, it's very air/water tight, and they taste good, I'd be happy to have something sweet in a survival situation. Health food can be found elsewhere.
👤These are not healthy. These are bars for survival. If lost on a hike, patriot sells them in bulk for 100 bucks for 30 days. The lemon taste of the other bars made me buy these. We didn't buy for taste, but to survive. My show ends on 3/25. The seal was fresh and strong. See my picture.
👤The coconut and cinnamon sos bars are small, but they have a good taste. I'm doing a challenge to eat sos bars. I would give it a try for an emergency situation, you never know when you might be in a tight spot.
👤There are 31 grams of sugar. Palm oil, Corn starch, wheat flour... I was looking for a bar with a lot of calories. These have toxic ingredients. Had to throw them out. It's SIGH!
👤I would never have bought these bars if I had known the high sugar content.
👤I opened one of the packages and it was great. The ration bars inside each pouch are sealed individually and kept fresh for days after opening the outer cover. It was weeks, actually. I put them in a container. I only used four bars over the last two weeks. That's using some for at least 4 breakfast smoothies and a couple of small snacks. A quarter of a bar makes a great snack, and I've added that same amount, all crumbled, to smoothies with fruit, yogurt, icewater, instant coffee, and it's great stuff! A quarter-bar is only about 62.5 calories, so it was a good time to get some first aid classes. I'm back in Coastal VA and I want to be prepared for the local disasters. I ordered the S.O.S. Rations double pack. Yes, COCONUT. The packages arrived quickly. It's all I can do. Oh, yeah, with it. I'm going to order more as soon as I finish this review. Great stuff, whether you want it for dessert or an emergency. I'm going to open a bottle of chianti and watch C-span.
👤Why are there so many people complaining about the taste and sugar content? These bars are used if you get lost in the forest. These are not for camping, diet or challenge. If you are worried about taste and sugar, you won't survive. It is plain and simple. If it gets so bad that you have to eat these, you will have what you find and eat, regardless of sugar content or taste. These are good for preppers. I thought I was prepared for Hurricane Katrina. I had a freezer full of frozen meats and food, a garage full of bottled water, and light canned goods. My home flooded into my second story. The freezer full of food became fish food because the generator no longer worked. If you keep food in multiple locations, it won't save you if it's under water.
