1. UCO Stormproof Matches Waterproof Windproof

UCO Stormproof Matches Waterproof Windproof

The match kit is 1.5 inches in diameter and 4.5 inches tall. The matches are stormproof. Burns despite wind or rain. There are 2 boxes and 25 matches. Extra strikers were included.

Brand: Uco

👤You can't win these matches. I used similar ones in the military, but it was more expensive. The matches will not be submerged when lit. They burst out of the water in 2 seconds. I've used them in the field many times. They won't go in the bush without them. I only noticed the difference from normal matches. As soon as the source ends, these go out. The wooden stick can be kept an ember. I don't think you need to worry about an ember because these burn so hot for about 15 seconds. You can't blow them out or extinguish them with water, they need to burn out completely. They are still very hot and dangerous to other sources after they burn out. These are matches for survival. Don't light a candle for a romantic dinner. I don't recommend using them indoors. They put off a smell and smoke for a short time. The strikers are my only gripe. I stuck the extra striking paper to the side of the box. The matches use a lot of the strikers. You can't beat the price for emergency use.

👤Be careful! These are more of a mini flair than a match. I don't know if you want to try and light candles, cigarettes, or lanterns in bad weather. They are great for lighting a fire in wind and rain. My boyfriend tried to light a candle and we had a holy moment. Great product, but don't use it like a regular match.

👤We burn most of our paper and cardboard in the country to save money on trips to the dump. I tried to find the old Red tip. There are green things that won't light up or break when hit, all you can find is a stick. These matches are great. They're a bit pricey. They light with veeery little striking force, but you only get 50 in a box. The burn was very hot. It's almost impossible to light cardboard with a match. These burs are so hot that they can light up cardboard. 50 matches are still pricey but they work well.

👤I don't know if I got a bad package or not, but the wood is weak, so when I strike the match, it snaps in multiple pieces. I can light them up. I end up with a short match.

👤I had to test the claims of these once lit being able to reignite even after being submerged in water. I found they won't last long underwater, but they will relight themselves if dowsed. I'm not a chemist, but they seem to get their strength from having a high phosphorous content. The firework smell lingered for half an hour in the warehouse where I tested it. It's a good idea to keep some of these on hand in case you're in a setting where no regular match can cut it.

👤Not as useful for casual/car camping, regular matches or a lighter will get you more fire per dollar. Durability is dependent on the way the match is lit. Those that are not using leverage while striking have complaints about the break easy. They can be dried and work without loss of function if they become wet, but they are limited in function. These come in at a great price when backpacking, kayak camping, or other situations where I am guaranteed to encounter water. I will be using a cheaper method of ignition for my average night in the woods.

2. Everstryke Match Pro Lighter Waterproof

Everstryke Match Pro Lighter Waterproof

Light weight, flexible, easy to carry. It's perfect in your backpack for hiking, camping and other outdoor activities. The new Everstryke Pro has a replaceable flint and is 10x longer than the old one. The all-inclusive fire starting kit contains the flint and wick, and it fits in your pocket. The flame burns at over 600 degrees fahrenheit. Each match has the ability to burn 15,000 long burning strikes. The O-Ring keeps fuel from being lost. This one won't burn your fingertips, so it's easy to use. Also, note: Lighter fluid is not included.

Brand: Everstryke

👤The metal insert fell apart as I tried to remove it. The metal insert stayed in the housing even though the strikers and wick assembly pulled out. I'm going to return the lighter. I let the company know of my problem and they responded quickly, telling me that they were sending me a replacement. Customer service has been great so far. When I receive my replacement, I will update. My replacement lighter came two days later. I reassembled it, filled it with fluid, and it made fire. It was on fire over and over again. I would give it 5 stars for its intended purpose, as a $10 emergency fire starter. Their customer service is excellent. Even though my first lighter broke, the company sent out a replacement and it worked perfectly. I'm going to give them a 5 star review.

👤I bought this to use as a source of fire. When you need them to, zypoos won't work because the fuel evaporates. I put this in the kit with the intention of testing it out after a month. It's a month now. I got the kit out. There was no smell of fumes. A check of the felt and fuel "fuzz" showed that the lighter was still full. It will remain in my kit, I'm very happy with it.

👤This is not very strong. I have tested it out a few times, and a small wind can blow it out. It's not a bad thing because it's easy to extinguish and it's tiny. It only takes a small amount of fuel, but it seems to be sealed tight enough that it will hold it for a long time. The small flame is enough to start a fire, which I did earlier tonight to burn some boxes. I keep a small van of Zippo fluid in my camping bag and I use a zip up pull to hold it. I already have some waterproof matches in the bag, but this is a nice alternative if they run out.

👤I had a lighter for three months. When I got it, I filled it once and it still lights up. I don't use it daily or even weekly because it's a backup. This lighter is great because of that. It will work when you need it. I pulled it out to see if it still lights up. One flick, lights up. Anyone who's carried a classic Zippo knows how quickly the fuel can evaporate. It's worse if you need a light, but your lighter is out of fuel.

👤A great lighter! I bought this for my husband, a Master Plumber, a small business owner and non smoker who uses torches for welding and soldering and other job related tasks. He has lighters in his truck for his torches but always loses them and has to run out in the middle of a job to buy a pack of lighters. He only had it for a few days but he loves it. He keeps it on his belt. His colleagues all want one. I'll be buying a back up for my husband and house.

👤There is a sad time in NYC. During the Pandemic, we see an increase in homeless people wandering around trying to find a place to sleep. They are usually old men and women who are victims in the shelters. It is heartbreaking, but you can make sure they don't freeze to death. If you see someone sleeping on the ground, offer them a bunch of these. Try to just neutrally and nonchalantly approach and say 'would you like this emergency foil blanket?' You can wrap it around and keep it out of the cold. If they say no, walk away. Don't get offended if they don't want help or if they curse at you. Try not to talk to them like you're talking to a kid. No one needs to see your gucci bag when you're laying on the sidewalk. There's a huge power difference here and you need to be aware of how you come across. Don't do outreach if you're offended by me saying these things. There are two more This should be the number one. Don't take pictures. You would think that people would know this, but they don't. Everyone wants their social media cred for being a good person. Be an anonymous person. Before you give money, think carefully. If they need food or coffee, buy it. Giving money may feel good to you, but it can also be used to fund drugs or make someone a target for mugging. Call your reps. The city should be taking care of these people. These people should be covered by the taxes we pay. Thank yourself when you get back into your home. You may have made a difference by doing a tiny bit.

👤I used the thermal blankets to line my cat houses. It was warm and cozy.

👤Great deal! You may not have thought of this use. They were used to protect my tomatoes. I covered the tomatoes and Mylar blankets with plastic and they didn't freeze even though it was 19 degrees.

👤The price is only $1 per blanket. I used packing tape to make a giant wall of Mylar and insulate half of my garage. It works well, it has a 30F temperature difference between the two sides of the mylar, and it's wind proof. My 3d printers are no longer malfunctioning because they stay warm in the garage. Useful!

👤This product is a work-around for a situation that is not a primary use, but it works great. I gave a large south facing window that was too bright in the spring and too dim in the fall to heat up the room so that the A/C wouldn't go off in October. I needed to block the light for specific times of the year, just like I needed to redo the window dressing, because the Earth is adjusting its axis for seasonal shifts. Mylar came to my mind when I thought of something light and cheap. I typed it into the search bar, and the blankets came up. The price was low. The size was large. I took a chance. It was perfect! A couple of clips were done. I threw one of the blankets in the car just in case. I'm happy.

Brand: Morisk

👤I like the size and it fits in a pocket. It was put in a drawer for a week. The flashlight is still working after 40 minutes. It will ignite a piece of paper if you don't have much experience with the lighter. The contacts were accidentally touched. It's d sucks!

👤The light is bright, small and convenient. I'm sure I'm voiding the warranty by saying that the lighter works great, but to shock people. It's not a stun gun, but it's a bit stronger. I had a different brand with a compass on it but the light was unpredictable as to what mode would come on when you pressed the button. This flashlight is the next one in a series. The high and low are Strobe.

👤The lighter is a nice accessory. I use a flashlight a lot and this allows me to not carry a lighter as well. But. The little rubber cap fell out on the first day. This is not good. The whole thing would be useless if I had lost it. I recommend using a bit of superglue around the hole to glue it in. If a drop of superglue were to fall on the switch beneath it, I'm sure it would ruin it. Less is more. I'm not sure why the factory would fit it with a rubber cap that would fall out easily, it's a cool device for a reasonable price.

👤Lighter seems to work well. The flashlight doesn't remember the last setting. You have to cycle through each setting. It's not sure if it's faulty or not. Repeatedly, tried quick press off, hold to turn off, and always cycles. It makes it hard for me to use.

👤The lighter arcs were expected to be more powerful. I know it is a balancing act between a strong battery life and strong arcs, but it wasn't great lighting a candle. The light part of the flashlight is a bit weak, but it's perfect for an everyday carry flashlight.

👤It is wonderful for the price. When I go camping, I bring a small solar charge with me so I don't have to bring any extra batteries. It holds up to camping and is lightweight.

👤Light and small. The time between charges could be longer.

👤I am very pleased with the device I have purchased.

Brand: Funmerce

👤It is difficult to give a fair rating to these because you will never be able to pack them the way they came from the factory and you will be asking for trouble if you try them.

👤It's too small to be a doll. I will keep my trunk.

👤I don't want to get it back in the bag. I hike a lot. Being prepared for emergencies is something I enjoy. I don't want my backpack to weigh down.

👤Just as it was described.

👤I don't consider myself a full on proper. I like to have things in case of an emergency. I want to add this to my collection. I'm very happy with it. I got it back in the container after taking it out. It was not easy but you can get it back in if you are careful. This will be a great addition to my emergency stack.

👤The sleeping bag is small enough to fit in a car, hiking or camping. It's easy to put the bag in the bin as well as store anywhere. It came with an emergency whistle and carabiner. It's a long and light weight. Would buy again.

👤It is durable and has an emergency whistle. It's a great addition to your pack.

👤It's pretty cool. I like having around in case of emergencies and I might buy a few more. Good quality!

Brand: Morisk

👤How do my key rings work? I keep it in my pocket all the time. I was worried that the only leverage point would be the lid. I was worried about the fridge. I had no issues with it being loosen and infecting, and more of the body was available to use for leverage, so no issues there with the seals up. It's a window breaker and works well. When I first filled it, it didn't want to light too much fuel that's common with these eternal matches, but it's healed now. I think this would be a great little thing to keep in your pocket, just in case you need to use it for fire, and I would advise you not to shake it to put it out, it is a little bit of a fire hazard, and it holds some fuel, so if I gave it to someone to light their cigarette and they did that scared them, I thought it was funny, but it takes a couple times to get it to light, so you don't scratch the side of it. If I were a smoker, I would keep a Bic or something, but it's not an everyday use. I'm not sure if this works for me, but I've been holding the fuel for quite a while.

👤This is a can opener and glass breaker in emergencies. It's a bullet-shaped object that slides on my key ring. It is easy to use. Add fuel and then slide it across the plate.

👤The product feels good in the hand with a good weight. I was supposed to receive 2 in the package, but it seems like someone slipped one out before it was shipped. I wanted the other one because it was going to be a gift for a friend. I'm not sure how you want to do this, I couldn't wait to use one and fill it with fluid and fire it up. I would have bought a 4 pack for the same amount of money if I was trying to get more than 2. I liked this design. I'm not trying to steal anyone's money. I would like to continue using Amazon after making a few orders. This is the 4th problem I've had and only 2 of the previous 3 have been solved. I hope things get resolved quickly.

👤This is a nice addition to my key chain. A bit heavy. It's useful. The bottle opener and glassbreaker looks like a bullet. The match is a reuse. People are complaining that the lighter fluid makes them think it is leaking out. The fluid in a Zippo is not leaking and is being absorbed by the wick. I have tested the match many times over the past few weeks and it requires some precision to get it to light. There was a second fully functional key chain and extra wick in mine. It's worth it, you will never know when you need a source of fire. I have a couple of strikes in the lining of my wallet.

7. ATOMIC BEAR Paracord Bracelet Pack

ATOMIC BEAR Paracord Bracelet Pack

The design is light. The mess kit with cups is only 7oz and it is travel and backpack friendly. The marks on the kettle went up to 20oz. The survival gear essentials are in one bracelet, and you can be ready to survive without a backpack. Unlike other options, the Cobra bracelet is able to fit small and big wrists. The bracelet adjusts from 8 to 10. A perfect gift for an outdoor enthusiast. Did you know that cold is the leading cause of death? Beat the numbers. In an emergency, use the flint steel to start a fire and the paracord to protect the shelter. Add the cobra to your tactical gear or wear it when hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, and other outdoor activities. There is a pack of 2 bracelets, one black and one orange+black. There are instructions on how to make a fire. Buy now.

Brand: The Atomic Bear

👤I am blind. I camp in the wilderness where there is no cell signal, hospital or anything else. I wouldn't even try and go by myself, I'm not insane enough to do that. I found the compass, whistle, emergency knife, and fire starter within 2 minutes of opening this up. I can't use a compass. If I need to go west, I can use a compass, but it's not as accurate as a fire starter. I got that coating off and it was a champ. There is a One side of the clips has a small emergency knife and the other side has a fire starter. You just use them. There is a The compass and whistle are built into the clips, so it's all on your wrist. The fire starter may cause interference with the compass because of it's iron content. Simply remove the ends and use the compass. Paracord is enough to make a trap, a shelter and a fishing line. It's nice to have some paracord in case you need to make an emergency stretcher, drag equipment or gather fire wood. I've checked out a lot of similar items that have fishing hooks and other extras but they are usually low quality. A blind man figured it out on his own without help, despite the fire started thing. This is a fantastic item if you are into survival or camp.

👤I read that the compass doesn't work well. The reviews showed that the compass doesn't point North, but I noticed that the bracelet was clipped around the arm of the user. That's the problem. Some people don't understand how a compass works. The magnetic compass is next to the metal fire strikers when the bracelet is clipped together. The metal strikers cause the compass to show incorrect directions. To get the correct direction, unclip the bracelet, lay the compass flat, and keep the compass away from metal. We'll be using these on all of our backpacking trips because everything else about this bracelet works.

👤These are the things I just got. I don't have a lot of time with them. I will update if something changes. I like it for now. The Paracord is adjusted, which is helpful. I have small wrists. The strikers is not needed at the moment. The whistle is loud. The compasses work great, and with all the negative reviews pointing that out, it's most important. They should point north. You have to unclip the band for it to work. You can remove the metal piece if you want to wear it as a compass. It's good to have it unclipped. Why make a big deal out of a small thing?

👤You get what you pay for. The decible level of the whistle is surprisingly effective. If you have small wrists, the band may be too large. The compass is fairly accurate, but you weren't expecting it. If you take the bracelet off before checking your heading, it will give you readings that are very bad. The compass will be affected by the magnetized strikers on your wrist. I had to figure out why it was wrong. It's a fun and useful thing to have on your wrist.

8. Texas Bushcraft Fire Starter Backpacking

Texas Bushcraft Fire Starter Backpacking

The ferro rod fire starter is weather resistant and can be used in an emergency. Fire steel is impervious to the elements, unlike matches that can become wet or blown-out in wind. 5000 F DEGREES SPARKS are hot enough to ignite a variety of tinder including plant fuzz, goldenrod fluff, and cattail seed or milkweed down. This fire steel is perfect for keeping the wolves at bay. The Texas Bushcraft Fire Starter has 15,000 strikes. The lanyard has a tool attached that makes you prepared for the unexpected. The included tool includes a bottle opener, hex wrench, micro ruler, map scale and sharp spine scraper. It is attached to the ferro rod by a lanyard that is 48” long. The Texas Bushcraft steel flint has a convenient and portable design that fits in your pocket, backpack or auto glove box.

Brand: Texas Bushcraft

👤This is the best ferro starter I have ever used. The ferro rod is large and should last a long time. This is my favorite of all the different types.

👤It is larger than the picture shows. I wanted to rate it 4 stars because of that. I think it adds to the value. I wanted to keep it in my pocket. It would take up most of your space. I work construction so I can't have that. After removing the black coating, it strikes great. There were big sparks. The map key is a great detail. The bottle opener. Why not? A sweet way to use a dating app. The sound of a whistle. I thought he was dumb. I blew it. It makes your ears ring. I would pay 10 bucks for the whistle. Most important, made in the USA. All less than 20 dollars. Can't beat it. I will find a smaller one if I lose it or break it. If you don't want to carry it, buy this.

👤I used to buy a cheaper fire steel that was difficult to use. I almost set my living room carpet on fire when I tried this for the first time. It definitely causes sparks and long lasting ones. Be aware. Unless you want to set it on fire, don't try it over household items.

👤This is the first time I have ever used a firestarter and it lit up in under 25 seconds. The first thing I saw in my yard was a bunch of dried pine needles and leaves. I still managed to light up despite the wind. I would buy this again and recommend it.

👤This review is not biased. The Texas buschrcraft ferrocium rod throws sparks that are better than my light and most others I have tried. The lanyard was made to order. I will be buying again for my friends. Thank you Texas Bushcraft!

👤This was by far my best purchase on Amazon, it was easy to use, great spark, and very efficient. This is the one you want if you want a small fire starter. I had a fire in seconds after using the first strike.

👤The Texas Bushcraft fire starter is easy to use and thought out. I think it will be the go-to fire starter for my primary camping/hiking bag because of the multiple-use applications. I have been making good and bad decisions in the wild for many years. When it comes to having enough water and water purification, shelter, and ways to make a fire, you cannot have enough redundant things. This is a great addition to the other two. It is too big for carry in pants pockets, but it will fit inside a bag's compartment for quick access.

👤My first rod. I had to make a couple physical adjustments to shoot the sparks accurately. The mounted handle has a medical issue that makes it comfortable to manipulate and control. I hope the multiple use lanyard is a life saver because I would never have to use it again. Whistle doesn't work. I was buying a fero rod with a grip, not the Whistle. I started a fire quickly with some fat wood I got from the harvest that morning. The tool helps me enjoy the process of making a campfire.

9. UCO Stormproof Waterproof Matches Strikers

UCO Stormproof Waterproof Matches Strikers

Light color: Warm White, the package is 6 x solar candle. If you have a problem, please contact them. They will try their best to serve you. The match case can hold up to 40 matches. After being submerged in water, the matches will relight, burning up to 15 seconds each. The case is waterproof and keeps contents dry and protected. The extended length of match allows for added safety. The kit weight is 1.7 oz. (48 g)

Brand: Uco

👤I used these in a bug out bag. I was reviewing the contents of my bag when I decided to test a match. I lit a match while sitting on my bed and tried to shake it off before it burned my fingers. When the red part was burned through the flame, the panic was not necessary. Even though I am concerned, I am impressed that even a small flame in the sink wasn't enough to stop the fire before it got to the red part. After it was held in the water, it sparked back up again as soon as it was removed. It is inconvenient for lighting in a bedroom to be in a damp camping or emergency setting. Thanks for the great matches. I need to air out my studio because it smells like smoke and flame.

👤I wouldn't count on the matches in an emergency. I might use them as a last resort. The wooden stick is weak and skinny. When you strike it, it will break. On the first try. I know that these are flimsy because I'm the guy who never breaks the wooden stick on traditional wooden matches. They only burn for about 7 to 9 seconds. There is no near 15 seconds. If you don't have a stick to hold, it will burn your fingers if you try to get the match where you want it. It should be removed and stored inside the container. You can strike these on any of the material. The cotton tinder is used to keep the matches from rattling around. The container is cheap Chinese plastic, and you can either get a good one or a bad one. I have two bad ones. Garbage is what the o-rings are. I had to replace the o-rings on the two I ordered because they weren't waterproof. I would have just bought the refill and used my own container. You can buy these at wallymart for 5 bucks. A box of kitchen matches is cheaper than foreign made matches, and would probably save your life. So if these aren't great, what is that? The Zippo Typhoon are better than the others.

👤3 of the 5 day trip were in the pouring rain. It was difficult to light a fire due to the soaked matchea. They're great, but they won't save wet tinder. I had to get a good flame by soaking a cotton ball in Vaseline and using a feather stick. The striking surface wears out very quickly, though matches didn't let me down. I wonder if the wet contributed to its quick wear, as I had to replace it after 10 lights. I recommend them. Without them, my fire wouldn't have started.

👤This is a good product. The container is very visible. Extra strips for striking your matches and cotton to help keep the humidity in check are included. The wax seal was ruined by the match stick's protective coating sticking to the cotton. In my case, it's not a big deal. I worry that some containers may have more matches that have not been opened. If you are planning on keeping these for emergency purposes, I would recommend inspecting them closely. This is an excellent product and I will be purchasing more in the future. I have included an image of the two damaged matches with a good match for reference. You could use candle wax to waterproof the top.

10. Emergency Starter Bushcraft Handcrafted Survival

It can be started quickly, lasts for a long time, and has no strange smell. It's a great weapon for camping, emergency rescue signals, family barbecues, and bonfire parties. Their commitment is to every customer. They will make sure to fix the issue if you are not 100% satisfied.

Brand: Honeyera

👤It's nice to have everything you need to start a fire. The tin will keep your material dry and the rod will spark under any conditions. If going into the woods, a back up should be part of the pack.

👤Sturdy and lights on the first strike. My 7yr old was able to create her own campfire as I taught her outdoor skills. I ordered another.

👤I will use this for camping. It's a great thing to have in a survival kit. The quality is excellent. You can't let go of this price.

👤Good value for money. A quality product that is easy to use and durable.

👤I am very pleased with this product. It worked well and exceeded my expectations. All that is needed is one strike.

👤It's easy to use and fits nicely.

11. Waterproof Rechargeable Windproof Flameless Adventure

👤I can not use it on candles, fire, or anything that you hope to light, you have to put what you want to light on the frame, it is a pain, and has no useful reason for me to have. I will either buy or try a different brand.

👤It's a little lighter but it's hard to open without looking when you're driving at night. The case is a challenge because of the depressed latch. The button is placed in a weird spot that forces you to hold it at an unnatural angle. I just popped it out of the case and it solved one problem.

👤Just showed up this afternoon. It only took 20 minutes to top it off. The quality is above the price and it works well. I think it works well for lighting candles and fires. For lighting smokes, you have to get the tip of the smoke very close to the "arms" that hold the electrodes for a proper light. You'll have to keep the electrodes clean if you get ash on the lighter. It won't light a pipe or cigar, so I ordered a type that has the 4 electrodes pointing upward instead of between two arms. I think the type with 4 electrodes pointing upwards is a better design for more uses.

👤A water proof lighter is a good idea. The lighter doesn't retain a charge very long, it struggles to light an incense without multiple attempts. The button became extremely hot when I used the lighter over heating, but I had no issues with it initially. I would not buy it.

👤It's difficult to wriggle in anything you want to light. If the case gets in the way, you can just pull the lighter out. If I need better reach, I usually use a paper towel or napkin. You can't start a fire when you charge. It is rechargable and lasts for a long time.

👤I got this for our travel trailer to light our gas stove. It has worked well. The other lighter we needed to be clicked six or more times seemed to always run out of fuel. I charge the lighter up with a small solar charge in our trailer. Birthday candles are also lit. The item is wind proof. Thanks.

👤It can light a fire. I used this for my fishing need to burn the tag end of my fishing line on a boat in windy conditions. It can shock you when the electric light accidentally touches your fingers. It was wrapped in my hands, that's good. The lighters I had were better.

👤I love my lighter. I use it for smoking. I have had it stolen twice. I keep it in my pocket or light it myself. Several people jump when they first use a lighter. I don't know what the people are playing with, but they are getting triggered.
