1. Toughest Ultralight Emergency Year Round Protection

Toughest Ultralight Emergency Year Round Protection

The military hiking backpack has a rain cover, it's best for 3-6 day trips. The DDITW Survival Tent is the toughest wilderness emergency tent on Earth, it is compact and light enough to fit two adults. Mylar is waterproof and reflects up to 90% of body heat for year-round protection against cold, wet, or hot weather. It's your words, not ours, that's what "ABSOLUTE" means. The extra-thick HeatFlex mylar is more flexible and tear resistant than the ordinary space blanket mylar. This tent is made of paracord and reinforced tape and can be used outdoors. The balance of weight and durability is only 8.5 ounces. Simply run the paracord through the tent and tie it up between the trees. Climb in using rocks or gear. If there is no trees around, the mylar tube tent can be used as an emergency sleeping bag. Emergency shelters are cheap and flimsy for one time use. They tested and designed every detail of the shelter to make sure it was reliable. In your car, survival kit, first aid kit, bug out bag, zombie survival kit, nuclear survival kit, earthquake kit, and backpacks, there are emergency tents. You won't find a better mylar tent anywhere. It is guaranteed. They donate a percentage of profits to help protect the wild places they love.

Brand: Don't Die In The Woods

👤It started raining when I used this as a last resort. The tent is just an emergency blanket. Parachord became a reflective carpet after it was ripped out by the wind. I was bitter about it. This brand will never be used again. Sad. I was excited to have it on me. I need to look at better options.

👤The package is big and comes with Parachord. I don't think this tent is the toughest survival tent. The material is made from cheap plastic. It feels like wrapping paper in your hands. The tent is so thin that winds could blow it away from Kansas. The material is very thin. It is possible to keep water out or block the sun, but it is also possible to use it in a storm or a day with wind gusts. I bought it because it was on a lightening deal. I would use this as a last resort. Walmart has a small Coleman tent.

👤Initial thoughts are that the product is a one or two time use product. The Mylar space blanket is orange on one side. I am not sure if it would hold up in a storm or rough ground.

👤Imagine a very thin blanket. There is only a cheap camo print on one side. I don't think it would last the hike out in my pack if it was being used as a tarp.

👤I'm a little disappointed in this. The tent is just a mylar triangle. It's probably more durable than the average, but it's still rather flimsy for an emergency tent. There is no way to put it on the bottom. The photos are all photoshopped so they show it all nice and rigid with two happy faces smiling out of it. It sits on the ground. If you find two trees, you can stretch the single rope between, but if you have no wind, you'll be fine. Don't know. I was expecting more from it. If it saves your life in a pinch, it will do.

👤This was bought to keep gear dry. There was no way to stake corners down.

👤After a storm held us up while we were on the wrong side of a ridge walk, we needed this one night. We decided to sleep for a few hours after we descended. The head and foot section were taut with my trekking poles. The silver one on the right in my picture would have looked like that. It was wide enough for me and my dog. It would have been very tight if it had been 2 people. It is lightweight and durable. I folded it up and put it back in the pouch, but it probably only has one more use in it.

👤I bought one for my boyfriend and one for another couple who enjoy hiking. We take it with us on every hike to be safe. Yeah, ya know. We don't die in the woods. It's a great addition to a survival kit.

2. UCO UCO55ORA Match Case

UCO UCO55ORA Match Case

The waterproof case floats and protects the contents. A sure grip is provided by a molded, vertical ribbing. 3 strikers are included for easy lighting. It is possible to fit UCO Stormproof Matches and other brands under 2. 75" (7 cm) in length. The match case can hold up to 40 matches.

Brand: Uco

👤The first one that came in had stripped threads, but the seller sent a new one that worked great. I got extra matches, strikers, and flint because they allowed me to keep the broken one. The setup is larger than I anticipated. The matches burn for a long time. The strikers last for several strikes. I didn't use the included flint since I wanted it as a backup in case I found a good kindling. I took the match case with me on the hunt. I did a lot of research on the gear I was taking with me and these matches were highly recommended. I was happy with them. They used to test them on the first day to make sure I could rely on them and then a Bic lighter was used the rest of the time, but they performed well and gave me piece of mind knowing that I had a reliable backup source. These matches and case are recommended by me.

👤This is a must have for a camping or grab-and-go bag. It is a heavy-duty waterproof container, with extra striking strips, which you can store inside, and still have plenty of room for lots of stick matches. It is a small item that might get overlooked in a knapsack, so the color is helpful. This isn't something you should keep in your pocket. Matchboxes can get wet, so I wouldn't have them. If you want to make sure you have usable matches, this is a must. It's okay that matches aren't included.

👤I bought this because there were two of them per order. The high rating is earned because of the quality that was received. I put one complete content of a 25 UCO Stormproof matches with additional strikers inside. The plastic container seal is tested in the sink overnight. I have placed about 40 wooden stick matches in the other, which can be used when conditions are not as bad. There was no place to add a paracord lanyard. A good product for the bag.

👤This case is for people who want to keep their UCO stormproof matches. The build of this case is made with a thick orange plastic and it won't give under pressure as easy as the cheap ones sold in supermarket or gas stations. This can can be used as a small container for pills and small valuables. I guarantee that this thing will keep water out as it has a big O-ring seal and will float, but matches will float if you put them in. This is a Bug out bag.

👤This is the same waterproof, strong, colorful UCO Case that is sold with the standard length stormproof match kit. I prefer to purchase the UCO boxed stormproof matches, and make my own kit with these containers, a number of their stormproof matches, and a number of standard wooden stick matches, plus a few cotton swabs with paper sticks which I've rolled one swab end into Vaseline. When folded double, a spark can ignite the fuzzy cotton end of the non-Vaseline end. The match case kit is more versatile than just stormproof matches.

3. SLSESIN Waterproof Multitool Magnesium Survival

SLSESIN Waterproof Multitool Magnesium Survival

All of their products are made in the USA. Easy fire. The fire steel can get a big spark if you get it quickly with the back of the blade. It is a good emergency fire starter for jungle exploration and camping survival. Premium waterproof solid ferrocerium, more durable than ordinary magnesium ferro rod, hit up to 16000 times, be used in various harsh environments. It is easy to ignite including plant fluff, aster fluff, cattail seeds or milkweed grass. The multi-purpose tools include a ruler, corkscrew, and wrench. The 3-inch length is easy to hold and allows the ferro rods to quickly create a big spark, which is crucial in camping survival. The ferro rod fire starter is 4.53 inches and easy to use. The design of the handle provides enough gripping power and can be carried around without taking up a lot of space. If there are any problems with their products, contact them and they would be happy to solve them.

Brand: Slsesin

👤I do a lot of hiking and bushcrafting. These work well. You can get a good deal on long ferro rods. I always keep a torch around my neck when hiking, even though I use a torch most of the time. If you have a 90 degree spine, you will have no issues. Even in the rain and snow. 5!

👤It works well. I bought several to give as gifts. I keep one in my vehicle and bag. It is possible to start a fire with the right tender. If you need more than 3 strikes, use a lighter. It is so convenient to have one in case. The guys like it.

👤In case of rain or bad weather, living in Florida is necessary. It's the best thing ever. Carry anywhere.

👤When struck easily, create sparks. It should work for a long time. Great to carry in a rifle butt pouch or another piece of kit.

👤The handle came off quickly. The rod came out of the handle when I started 3 fires with it.

👤I was surprised that I got two for that price. A few others were bought as gifts. Good stuff!

👤I got two for the price of one. I have one for both bags. It works just fine.

👤Look at my short clip. Comes in two pairs.

4. UCO Stormproof Waterproof Matches Strikers

UCO Stormproof Waterproof Matches Strikers

Light color: Warm White, the package is 6 x solar candle. If you have a problem, please contact them. They will try their best to serve you. The match case can hold up to 40 matches. After being submerged in water, the matches will relight, burning up to 15 seconds each. The case is waterproof and keeps contents dry and protected. The extended length of match allows for added safety. The kit weight is 1.7 oz. (48 g)

Brand: Uco

👤I used these in a bug out bag. I was reviewing the contents of my bag when I decided to test a match. I lit a match while sitting on my bed and tried to shake it off before it burned my fingers. When the red part was burned through the flame, the panic was not necessary. Even though I am concerned, I am impressed that even a small flame in the sink wasn't enough to stop the fire before it got to the red part. After it was held in the water, it sparked back up again as soon as it was removed. It is inconvenient for lighting in a bedroom to be in a damp camping or emergency setting. Thanks for the great matches. I need to air out my studio because it smells like smoke and flame.

👤I wouldn't count on the matches in an emergency. I might use them as a last resort. The wooden stick is weak and skinny. When you strike it, it will break. On the first try. I know that these are flimsy because I'm the guy who never breaks the wooden stick on traditional wooden matches. They only burn for about 7 to 9 seconds. There is no near 15 seconds. If you don't have a stick to hold, it will burn your fingers if you try to get the match where you want it. It should be removed and stored inside the container. You can strike these on any of the material. The cotton tinder is used to keep the matches from rattling around. The container is cheap Chinese plastic, and you can either get a good one or a bad one. I have two bad ones. Garbage is what the o-rings are. I had to replace the o-rings on the two I ordered because they weren't waterproof. I would have just bought the refill and used my own container. You can buy these at wallymart for 5 bucks. A box of kitchen matches is cheaper than foreign made matches, and would probably save your life. So if these aren't great, what is that? The Zippo Typhoon are better than the others.

👤3 of the 5 day trip were in the pouring rain. It was difficult to light a fire due to the soaked matchea. They're great, but they won't save wet tinder. I had to get a good flame by soaking a cotton ball in Vaseline and using a feather stick. The striking surface wears out very quickly, though matches didn't let me down. I wonder if the wet contributed to its quick wear, as I had to replace it after 10 lights. I recommend them. Without them, my fire wouldn't have started.

👤This is a good product. The container is very visible. Extra strips for striking your matches and cotton to help keep the humidity in check are included. The wax seal was ruined by the match stick's protective coating sticking to the cotton. In my case, it's not a big deal. I worry that some containers may have more matches that have not been opened. If you are planning on keeping these for emergency purposes, I would recommend inspecting them closely. This is an excellent product and I will be purchasing more in the future. I have included an image of the two damaged matches with a good match for reference. You could use candle wax to waterproof the top.

5. ShineIn Airtight Emergency Survival Cigarettes

ShineIn Airtight Emergency Survival Cigarettes

Made of aluminum, it has high precision cutting and anti-pressure qualities. The emergency first aid kit has a rubber O-ring seal and thread design. It's easy to take along and access. It's suitable for storing small tools, fishing gear, hearing aid, batteries, money, U-disk, and more. The inner diameter is about 7 cm. 1in. The package contains a waterproof container and carabiners.

Brand: Shinein

👤It's not long enough to hold an average cigarette. It won't hold regular Camels. I'm going to use it to hold my cannabis.

👤The container is made of aluminum and has a water-tight seal.

👤It doesn't fit cigarettes. I smoke shorts that are too long. Quality product, but that portion is false advertising.

👤I bought it because it doesn't fit ciggs if you use 100's. There is a It feels substantial in the hand and is well made. The traction surface is nice. I use it for medication.

👤One of the best products I have ever had. It was really well made, sturdy and textured. A must buy for the price.

👤There are better and some can be extended for longer items. Quality and finish are not as good as others.

👤It's not great for backpackers who want an emergency fire source of fire.

6. Coghlans 940BP Waterproof Matches Pack

Coghlans 940BP Waterproof Matches Pack

There are over 100 ENGAGING PROMPTS & INCLUSIVEACTIVITIES. Clever cards can help reluctant children open up. The topics encourage real world application: friendship, patience, respect, gratitude, handling conflict, perspective taking, honesty, asking for help, stress and anger management, and goal setting. The strikers and heads are waterproof. Safety matches can't light up accidentally. The box must be struck on the waterproof surface. 40 matches per box It's ideal for hunters, fishermen, campers or outdoor workers.

Brand: Coghlan's

👤These are not good. * The matches are so flimsy that they break when striking as often as not. The striking surface on the box is like a piece of paper that is falling off. If you don't have a striking surface, the matches won't be of use. * The price is 3.5 cents per light. That is 70 times more expensive than a lighter. Just buy a lighter. 3 of them for the price of the matches.

👤The matches do not stand up to high humidity. I took them on a backpacking trip where it rained every day. The humidity of the atmosphere made the tip of the match sticks fall off when you tried to hit them. The match sticks snapped in half. These are not good matches. The paper ones at the gas stations work better. Don't waste money or time.

👤I needed to relight my smoker quickly because I couldn't get the box to slide out so I could get a match. I have found the little boxes to be difficult before. They seem to take a few strikes to get them to light. I thought it could be me, but I don't think so. Won't buy again.

👤Break and don't last. I have had them since 4 or 5 years ago. I bought these in the early 90's and tried them out recently in the renovated basement, but I couldn't smoke a cigar. I did 18 to 24 matches and only 3 worked well. Don't buy extra thats for sure.

👤If you factor in less than half of the matches, they will work. I tried to contact the seller. They have a price tag on them that has been covered by ink, so don't buy them. $3. They are purchasing these, sitting around their house, trying to destroy the price tag, and then wrapping and shipping them for a 300%. There is a profit.

👤My water bladder leaked from the straw and I got wet. The matches wouldn't hit the box. The matches were ruined when the wood soaked up the water.

👤I haven't tested them yet because they are in my survival kit. I am not going to open the product for a few weeks or months because the packaging is thick and the product looks good. If they don't meet my expectations, I can update if they don't, but I don't expect that. Happy so far.

👤The 36 hour survival candle is included in the car winter survival kits. The value is great.

👤The matches I received seemed to have dried out over time, so I removed one star. You can definitely feel the boxes have been soaked before. The matches are great. They are light and waterproof.

👤Really pleased with these. Even when they were wet, they still worked. It's perfect for hiking and camping.

👤These matches are not what I would consider safety matches. One can only hold them for a short time before the flame reaches them.

👤It's a good buy, even though it's a little pricey, because it's waterproof for lighting a cigarette in all weather.

7. PPFISH Air Tight Accessory Waterproof Container

PPFISH Air Tight Accessory Waterproof Container

The Little Emergency First Aid Kit is lightweight, easy to carry in a purse, pocket, lunch pack, hiking/snowboarding pack, and can be clipped to a carabiner. Military grade aluminum is indestructible, super tough and light weight. PCS sets are black, orange, and Amry green. Storage on the Go is perfect for storing tablets, vitamins, money, U-disk, batteries, matches, Flintstones, ear plugs, outdoor seasoning, and other accessories. Super waterproof, high precision cutting. 50% of the money is saved.

Brand: Ppfish

👤I bought the first option. I'm very happy with these containers. The lid and body are made of a single piece of aluminum that is very sturdy and weighs less than similar products, which makes sense considering that they're a little bigger than similar products I've purchased. The option that I chose opens from one side, as shown in the seller's photos. I'm pretty sure I could get them open with my bare hands even if I closed them tightly. The colors are the same as the seller's photos, and the branding on the tops of the ones I received is called "outdooredc". I tried to scratch the branding with both of my fingers. I only put a moderate amount of pressure on them, since I wasn't trying to really damage them as much as just verify the quality, and the branding held up to that. The extra O-rings seem sturdy. The extra rings can be stored in the grooves around the lids of the containers, which is very convenient. I didn't test to see if the containers are waterproof, but I would be surprised if they weren't since the threading fits snug and the O-rings seem legit. Overall, I'm impressed. I think they're worth the money. I will probably buy more of these in the future to make small medical, fire-starting, sewing, andc. kits for my car and camping gear.

👤I ordered a second set because I found them useful. I put different pills in different containers and take them with me. They are small enough to not be a problem. They are large enough to hold things. I did not count, but they can hold about 20 Ibuprofen tabs. If your earplugs get stuck, you can open both ends and push them through. The cap threads seem to be well made, and they screw down without binding. They are light.

👤The capsule is too short to hold an 18650 battery. It can be stupid to keep batteries in metallic containers. I can guarantee electrical isolation at both ends if I use disk-shaped slices of bicycle innertube. Not possible in this case. Unless you think the capsule is too big, I would recommend you buy the set. You will be able to identify which one is which when searching for the right one since you get three colors.

👤I give the large 5 stars and the plus 4 stars. It won't allow me to do separate reviews. I can fit 2 flash drives inside it with room on the ends for thin padding. It is still acceptable since it is aluminum. There were extra o-ring seals. It was pretty steady. It was a good purchase. There is a Very well built, plus size. The large size is longer. There are several differences that I don't like. The main body is slick because it is not knurled. The bottom is a cap that is curved so that the container won't stand up. Extra o-ring seals were also present.

👤There's nothing bad about these nifty capsules. They are a bit larger than I had thought. I gave my mom one and she put her vitamins in it. There is plenty of room for the big kitchen matches. It's lightweight but rugged. I might get another trio and give as gifts. It's always good to have a lightweight waterproof container.

8. UCO Stormproof Waterproof Replacement Strikers

UCO Stormproof Waterproof Replacement Strikers

Utensils are made from high strength glass nylon for resistance to temperature and weathering. There are 12 Titan matches, 3 replaceable strikers and a waterproof case. The matches burn up to 25 seconds. In gale force winds, titan matches stay lit under water. The case is waterproof and floats in water. The match kit is 1.5 inches in diameter and 4.5 inches tall.

Brand: Uco

👤These matches are ridiculous. They are large. They are wearing a yellow-orange-brown vest. You can't put it out once you light one. You can't blow it out and it burns. If you drop it, it will set on fire, and there is nothing you can do about it. If you absolutely have to start a fire, use a Titan match. If you can't light it with one of these, you have no one to blame but yourself. Get some. It's for your inner pyromaniac. Every time you use one, you will smile ear to ear. The squares are 1/2 inch. The ruler is a metric.

👤The case was screwed on too tight. Only 9 of the 12 matches were usable. The water seal is useless if the case isn't screwed all the way down. You either have broken matches or no water seal. Amazon says these can't be returned. I would avoid if I were not happy. Take a closer look at your case and your matches, what you find may not make you happy. Lousy design. Adding 1mm to the case would solve the problem.

👤Have you ever used stormproof matches? You know how the bees knees are. I always carry a firestarter. Fire steel is not enough, matches are. The temperature was -25C on the expedition. A team member had a glove that failed and they had to soak it. I tried to light my stove, but I couldn't. I lost my dexterity in my hands and fingers when I tried to hit the stove cup with a fire steel. I knew we would be in trouble if we couldn't get some snow melted and some hot food in us. I packed the UCO titan match kit and struck the match hard. The match did not break because of the thick wood core. The long burn time and fierce flames of the match, braved the cold and wind of my open tent, and made me want to light a liquid gas stove in my tent. These matches saved a few people from frost bite. The matchcase isn't anything to write home about, and that's my only criticism of the product. A cover should be placed on the inside of the cap to keep the paper strikers out of it. If the case gets wet, your matches will be okay, but the strikers would be mush. Thankfully they give you a few replacements to keep inside the case.

👤There are things to note. First, a good "fire kit" for those who backpack camp or even car camp (but not for those through hikers who don't bother with fire-making or stoves) consists of: a BIC Lighter, a few Stormproof Matches, and a ferrocerium. It's not possible to make a fire without good tinder and various diameter deadwood split to reveal dry heart, prepared and on hand, and a reliable source of ignition. The BIC is the first choice, but it doesn't work in a strong flame. The second choice, the ferrocerium rod, is the second choice because it "sparks" to flame that cotton ball or a pile of fatwood shavings, things that can be blown away in on a windy day or become difficult for a spark to reach if placed deeper inside a tinder The last resort is the Stormproof Match. The UCO matches ignite and burn magnesium hot for a long time, giving a good reach into the tinder pile to ignite the starter material without a panic. Normal matches will blow out or burn out quickly. The UCO Titan Size is long for two reasons. If you're wondering which size to buy, consider the reach you will have and the time you'll burn, not just the size of the container. The Stormproof match is the choice if you want to light the fire under the conditions that make it the best choice. They work, are stormproof, rainproof, have longer burn time, and come in a waterproof tube for storing a few matches and spare strikers. These are not "strike anywhere" matches, but require the chemistry of the strikers as well as other safety stick matches.

9. Canku Waterproof Military Container Essentials

Canku Waterproof Military Container Essentials

The Tough Metal Pill Container is made of Indestructible, Super Tough and Ultra-light Weight aluminum. A small high capacity time capsule cylinder is screwed with a rubber O-ring seal which makes it waterproof and won't open accidentally. It's perfect to store pills, vitamins, money, U-disk, batteries, matches, Flintstones, ear plugs, and other accessories on the go. The Little Emergency First Aid Kit is portable but large enough to meet your daily need and some outdoor activities. The design is easy to take along and can be clipped to the carabiner.

Brand: Canku

👤I bought this product to bring a small bic lighter with me on my raftering trips. The mini's fit just fine, even though they wont fit a full sized bic lighter. I haven't had any problems with water getting in. I would trust these to hold sensitive items. The knurled body allows you to get a tight seal and a good grip when you open the capsule. Great purchase!

👤The orange container has a couple issues. There is a manufacturing defect on the lid. The second problem is that the lid is loose until it is fully tightened. The threads on the lid don't fit into the threads on the body or the other containers. It seems to fit when fully tightened.

👤Maybe it's just me but, O-ring looks small, but there are extras included. Tall enough for large wind/waterproof matches.

👤The threading is a bit crude and benefited from some silicone grease. There are 3 colors with spare o-rings. My black one was wet.

👤It's great for the price and light weight. It needed to be washed, which was easy. I am traveling with them soon and so far they are great.

👤All 3 came with dirt inside.

👤Excellent product for a good price.

👤Very well made will order more, it's worth the price.

10. AVERSEL Fire Striker Ferro Rods

👤Waste of money don't buy, it doesn't come with the items.

11. Keychain Matchstick Kerosene Refillable Emergency

Keychain Matchstick Kerosene Refillable Emergency

There is a problem with the product. They support the service. The flint metal permanent match lighter is a great deal to play as an edc survival tool which is great for camping, hiking, backpacking and adventure outdoor. They promise that it is affordable and quality after service, but in case of damage or defect, it comes with a year of quality after service. The utility and convenience of this keychain make it a must-have hiking or camping gear. Works equally well when it's cold or wet. It is designed very elegant and fancy, packed with an elegant gift box, make it a great gift ideas for many occasions such as business gift or birthday. The cotton can endure at least 10,000 strikes. Premium quality magnesium core strikers.

Brand: Yusud

👤I received a faulty lighter in my order after purchasing this match lighter, as I mentioned in my original review. The seller of this product contacted me immediately after I wrote my review. They were very apologetic about the mistake and assured me that my satisfaction with their product is their number one concern. They offered to give me a brand new package of lighters, completely free of charge, to correct their mistake. I think this deserves an updated review with a few extra stars because I really appreciate the level of service I received. I understand that everyone makes mistakes, coming from a manufacturing background. Despite mistakes being inevitable, the manufacturer is not satisfied with a mistake that is unresolved. Thanks again for the great response! A very cool lighter that can be used in many situations was the original review. It works as expected. I had planned to give my brother one of the 2 lighters that came with my order, but I had an issue with the package, which came with two lighters. I can't do that because one of the lighters I received has no flint. I only received one working lighter and it was unfortunate.

👤I am very happy to have found this product. One of the older Scoutmasters had one when I was a member of the Boy Scouts. The zippo is all the same without your fluid drying up. I've been looking for one in sporting goods shops for a long time. You couldn't find these before the Amazon age. There are two parts, the match and the body. The cotton is stuffed into a metal tube. There's cotton sticking out of the end and a steel goal. The thing has a lot of fluid in it. The matchstick has an O-ring so it doesn't leak. You strike the match on the flint on the side of the body and it will light up. The cotton will burn long enough to start a campfire or light a pipe. The burned fingers from trying to hold the button long enough to get your tinder to catch are over. The match will burn until you blow it out, and then it will use up all the fluid in the cotton. I don't know how long that would take. I have always lit my fire before it burned out.

👤Lighter fluid is needed for this. If you are filling it, wash your hands thoroughly and you will light your hand on fire. The description says that you need some kind of fluid to get inside, but it's not true. It's not new technology. It's pretty basic.

👤They only light up after a number of attempts. The sparks are created, but even after being saturated with the lighter fluid, it isn't easy to light. It will eventually light up, but it's very frustrating to get them to light. If there is a breeze, watch those fingers. waving the match doesn't put out the flames It felt like a juggling act to try to light something while making sure your other hand wasn't spilling lighter fluid. I will stick to my reliable, predictable and much easier-to-use torch lighter.
