👤I wanted to know how bright the light was and how long it would last. The flashlight was left in the window for a month to fully charge the battery. I guess. There is no charge indicator. At 5:00 AM, it was tested inside. The sun hadn't risen. The drapes were not open. I was impressed. It would illuminate objects about 20 feet away. It lasted for about 30 minutes. It went down to about 15 feet for the next 15 minutes. It dropped to about 10 feet for the next 15 minutes. It was no longer putting out usable light after that. This was inside the house. The light would be more diffuse outside where the results would be less good. I wanted to see if I could charge with the crank. The flashlight was left on to draw down the charge. It was still putting out light after 24 hours. You could still see the lights were on. The flashlight was turned on for 5 minutes. The results were not very good. At less than 5 feet from an object, the flashlight was more than just a light. Normally the solar charge is for emergency use only, but in this case it seems to be different. I'm not sure if the dynamo needs to break in. If you can leave this in the sun to fully charge most of the time, but in a true emergency, you might be better off looking for a better solution. Testing will continue.
👤It was bought. The brightness was tested. It was mediocre. It was ranked to replenish. Let it go on and off. Next day, put it on the window sill. It was mediocre low-light. Put in a backpack. Since light was packed, no other use was made of the strap ring on the backpack today. I decided to refresh some of the canned foods. I thought I would crank the light to make sure the light would be charged if I ever needed to use the emergency pack. About the tenth spin, I broke. I bought others to give as gifts. If they break on the second crank cycle, I will be in hot water. Done with the lights. Was not of any money.
👤I had given it a 5-star review but I don't think it should break by three months. I was going to buy another or even a couple as gifts because it did work well, but suddenly stopped. Products that break within 3 months are not available.
👤The second time I used it, it broke. The first time, the crank charger worked well. It was ranked for 60 seconds to see what it would do. Definitely charges the battery. It does work as advertised, even though I only use it for a short time. It was left to charge by solar for a few days. The bright light went to half brightness before the battery ran out. The cranking got very easy and much less loud after I tried to charge it again, but the light was not bright enough. To get the desired quality, you need to find one for more than $100.

👤We tried it out for camping. I charged the radio before we left. We used it for a long trip and it held up well. I used it to charge my phone and watch. I left it in the sun during the day. The radio had a good sound and was easy to tune into. We used the radio to drown out the noise of the camp site next to us. I would recommend it.
👤It works with both batteries and solar. It takes forever to charge and doesn't last long.
👤I initially bought this for my husband for his hunting emergency pack, but I think he will like it more than I thought, the sound quality is better than I thought, and the flash light is excellent, so I might keep it for myself. I will probably have to buy another emergency pack.
👤I liked it. It works as expected. Charge by cranking works, as well as charging port for devices, flashlight and solar charging. I think it's a good idea.
👤The product is great for an emergency situation. I am glad I have it, even though it is smaller than I expected. There is a good purchace for the unexpected power outages.
👤Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the product. Good sound quality, large display, charged up and used immediately. The weather radio works better than I expected. It's not sure how well the solar feature supports use.

👤I like gadgets a lot, but only occasionally do I find one that shocks me. The size and weight are related. The size is portable, not heavy, but packed with a lot of functions, you can throw it in your backpack and not notice. The orange colour looks very nice, and the build quality is surprisingly good and with a retro-style that reminds me of the old radio my grand-parent used to have. A lot in a small package. You can choose what you want to charge the internal battery. Or, use the solar cell to charge the batteries. I can imagine in-house or camping, but they don't cover it all. I have been listening to the radio and it works well. The portable size is taken into account. The brighter of the two levels is better than a regular flashlight. My son is fond of it. Light is being read. It is promoted as a reading light, but the brightness level is much brighter than I expected. You can light the entire room with it. The sound of the internal battery is very high, but it will do the job in an emergency. I haven't used the charge yet, but I will try and update it. Don't wait for a zombie apocalypse to get one, there's a lot ofFunctionality in a small package and very easy to use.
👤I will return the radio immediately. It is just an emergency radio. There is no bad weather alert which will turn the radio on and give the needed alert. It is misrePRESENTED as such.
👤I thought I'd give it a try because we have regular power failures. The internal battery was fully charged for over five hours. I ran the led light along with the radio and got about 4 hours of life after charging it a second time. I used the hand crank for about 5 minutes after the second battery died. I think the battery only lasted about an hour with the radio, but it's not bad when you consider you can crank it for 5 minutes every hour or so and get another hour of use! The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because the handle is small and it becomes difficult to hold when cranking. You'll probably never use the crank with a supply of batteries around.
👤I have been telling my husband for years that we need a radio, and he finally asked for a small radio for Christmas. He loves it! We can listen to the weather, as well as the radio stations. If you run out of power, it's your fault.
👤On day two, it stopped working. It was an Amazon return. The company contacted me and offered to send a replacement. Excellent customer service and much appreciated! The replacement was sent by the company and it works well. Useful and necessary product. I'm enjoying it. I would like to thank you at iholababy.com.
👤Over the years, I've bought a lot of these radios. Most were good and one bad. I think this model is the best bang for your buck at this price point. It comes with all the features you would expect. It's very easy to use, and I like that adjustments are made with knobs instead of buttons. Just my preference. The function of the station selection needle is not affected by it being not lined up straight. A good buy...

👤The radio channels were reset. I held the sos button for 3 seconds and it shut off.
👤Considering the size, the sound is better. Radio reception is good. The battery life seems to be good. The only way to program preset stations is to let it run through auto programming, which means you get a lot of preset you don't want, and have to click through them to get to the ones you want. You can't save your favorite stations like a car radio. You can double tap the up or down button to seek the next station if you want to change the frequencies one at a time.
👤A lot of features are included in a very nice product. The reception of the weather band is strong. It works great with digital tuning. It has a good sound with a lot of base. It doesn't have any private listening ability like a headphones jack or ear buds. It's a great product.
👤Thinks to like it, there are 3 ways of charging, wind up, and solar. It seems to last a while. There is a bright reading lamp. It's handy when the lights go out. The bands of the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration as well. It's water proof. Sound control and minimum volume could be better. Don't expect to be able to charge it quickly. The wind up and solar are used for last resort emergencies.
👤If you want to use this in an emergency, look elsewhere, because you may want to use it for prepping for a disaster that may result in power loss. If you are looking for a good sounding speaker for camping, this will suffice. After fully charging the batter and storing it, I had to get a speaker for it, but it was almost completely drained. I have cheap cell phone battery packs that last a long time. The solar panel is too small to be reliable on solar recharging.
👤I bought this little radio for its many features, not only for the sound quality, but also for its multiple charging capabilities. I use this radio for emergencies and other outdoor activities, because it can kill regular electronics if it gets wet.
👤I've owned Block Rockers for over a decade. When I'm piddling around, I always enjoy having music outside. I was at a friend's home recently and he had a device like this. The sound quality was really good. I decided to get one of my own. I wanted to listen to both AM and FM radio. I liked the idea of being able to charge it by hand. I live in a part of the country that is prone to hurricanes. The lights made me feel better. Probably never will. They're there. The batteries of the Block Rockers always lasted more than a week at a time. The speaker had less battery life than advertised. I left my apartment early in the morning and came back later in the day and was surprised to hear the radio playing. More than 24 hours. It was still going strong. I put my Block Rocker up for sale. The speaker beats it with his hands. Stereo sound quality, light weight, and emergency ability. It is a fraction of the price.

👤I needed enough in the cart to get free shipping on my order. It was on sale for $12. There are many different brands of this radio. The battery size is the only difference with some and this one. The brands on sale have the same 2000ma battery. You should be able to find one for what I paid. Most of the reviews are not legit. This one is accurate. It does what it's supposed to. When I received it, I charged it up. The phone feature was tried. The charge was raised by 10%. It is good enough for an emergency. It takes about 30 minutes to charge. The solar charge was tried. It works well. It charged 70% in 8 hours. The crank charge was tried. Allowed the radio and flashlight to work. Guessing for a few minutes is enough for an emergency. The flashlight is bright enough to see in the dark. The sound of the radio is tinny. There were at least three stations in my area that worked, but only one of them was a NOAA station. The tuning knob is hard to turn, making it difficult to tune the station. It's fine for the price. The build quality is good.
👤I had verified the solar charge worked after I purchased it. I charged using the crank after a power outage. The lights were used to listen to the radio. It worked out well and I was very happy with it.
👤It is good to have this in a state like this. A good radio and flashlight. It is easy to charge. I only gave it 4 stars because it won't really charge your phone, but in an emergency it could help keep your phone from dying. Good for the price.
👤I am very happy with this purchase. During the winter season, we get a lot of power failures. This will be useful. It has a place to charge your phone and a radio. It was a bonus. The handle starts charging when you crank it.
👤3 options like solar, usb cord to charge and hand crank are pro. The light is not bright but it does the job.
👤It does the job for an inexpensive emergency item. It is not a sturdy item that I would take out in the field, but for at home use. The sound quality is average. The solar or hand crank option is the biggest feature.
👤The size of this thing is amazing. I would recommend it to anyone.
👤I live on the east coast of Florida and the weather radio station is useless. It makes a good flashlight.
Can tolerate temperatures from -40 F to 230 F. The emergency crank radio can receive broadcasts from AM/FM/ SW/NOAA certified radio. The weather radio is a must-have survial kit for earthquakes, floods, and other disasters. Feel free to contact them with any questions.
👤This is a slightly improved version of the Mesqool CR 1009Pro that I bought last year. Better radio tuning. The documentation has been improved with information on battery life and charging times using the hand crank, built-in solar cell, or the fastest cable. This one does not include the AC plug. It would make it 6 ways to power this little guy. The Li-Ion battery level is specified on the display. The flashlight and reading light work well, as does the radio tuner, allowing both single step changes and scanning to the next available station. Sound is okay, but use headphones for better sound and longer battery life. I like the case. A good deal.
👤The Emergency Alert Radio is great for hikers, bikers, walkers, and just plain sitters because of its ability to operate on multiple power sources. If AC power is not available, multiple types of batteries provide the power and as backup, a hand crank and/or solar panel can charge the batteries. Guidance on battery life is provided by the instructions. If the light level is reduced, there are multiple flashlight options. When the cell phone's battery is low, the units can charge it. All in all. What a great product.
👤The emergency radio has a lot of nice features, like a flashlight, different radio frequencies, and different ways to charge the battery, which is really nice if the power goes out. It is portable and has a strap to carry it. There are several ways to charge-crank and plug. There is a spot light and a reading light.
👤The weather radio is easy to use and reliable. I was waiting for some bad weather so I could get an alert. We did a couple of days ago. The radio is working. It seems the volume only goes to "16", it could be louder for us to drown out the excess noise in our house. The flashlight feature is very useful.
👤It is incredibly useful when out and about, like a Swiss army knife. It has a radio, a torch, an emergency beacon, and a 5000 mah battery, which is enough to charge your devices off, and it has a reading light, too. The + - Volume buttons are the only thing that needs to be changed.
👤I put the batteries in the unit. I returned the unit because the flashlight functions worked perfectly. The lighting functions were excellent, especially the broad area lamp under the solar panel. The unit was very strong.
👤Would not be able to power up. We returned it.
👤The features are considering the size. 4 ways to power it is very forward thinking. I can't wait to see what this company comes up with. Nice job!
There is a concierge service. The portable radio has a compass. The package includes: a weather radio with a built-in battery, a belt, and a compass. The user manual for the microusb cable. Their customer service is always available for you. Onlyee products have an 18-month warranty. The strongest solar radio. The solar charging speed is 10 times that of a normal emergency radio, so it is an indispensable equipment in your emergency supplies. The Brightest Emergency Radio has a button that can make a loud sound to attract people attention. It's the most important gear for camping. The 5000mAh portable power bank can be charged up to 3000 times and can be used for 2 hours. It's an essential part of your survival gear. You can receive the latest weather and hazard information on disasters related to hurricanes, snowstorms, wildfires, floods, earthquakes via this weather broadcast. The best way to help in the case of emergency power failure is to use a hand crank radio.
👤This is not an Audiophile device and that is perfectly fine as that is not the intended purpose. The speaker and audio quality is not great. The 5000mAh battery has a decent amount of power to give hours of bright light from the various LEDs lamps, give hours of emergency or weather radio reception, or top off your cell phone. The audio quality of many inexpensive "pocket radios" is good, but it is not adequate for emergency news and weather. I knocked off a star for that, but it isn't the greatest, and probably would have increased the price a bit - a fair tradeoff. The fold-out solar cell is larger in surface area than most single cells on other radios, so it can be used to charge its battery in a reasonable amount of time. That is what you really need from such a device in an emergency where there is no other power source. It would take more than a full day for a single small cell radio to be charged. It is a reliable go-to device when you need it. It won't change your life, but it may be a lifesaver when you need it the most.
👤The emergency radio works. It can be charged with a hand crank, batteries or a plug. During the last winter storm, I used it. The house was blacked out after a few trees fell over our power lines. I pulled out the Emergency Radio to listen to music and get the weather updates when internet and cable were down. The Emergency Radio has a flashlight with two settings that was useful for getting around the house and cooking on the gas stove. The device has a power meter that you can use to monitor the battery life. I like to keep the battery charged until our electricity came back on.
👤I was impressed by the two radios I received. It's larger than most solar panels. When AC power is not available, you can use solar, but it will take all day and part of another day to get the radios charged. AC power was used to finish the recharging. The NOAA Weather Radio station, light, strobe, am/fm radio, hand crank, siren, ambiant red light, and other things are all great. Radios kept their charge for a while. I love them! So far, so good!
👤I like this little thing. The lights are bright and can be charged in many different ways. The speaker quality isn't going to impress anyone, but that's not what this type of radio is made for. I intended to use it as a camping/fishing radio, but I have been using it as a work light around the house. I would buy it again.
👤On December 11, there were 3 tornadoes that came through our town of Bowling Green. I have been looking at these weather radios for a while and I wish I would have had them. I didn't know what was happening outside during the storm because the power was out for a week. I did not have a radio or cell service. I stayed awake until 5am when I saw the first responders. Absolutely devastating. The houses were destroyed by their neighbors. I only had trees that were down. For Christmas, I bought 4 of these for my family. On New Years Day, a tornado hit our town, and my family was thrilled to have these as backup batteries for their weather radio. Thanks!
The lantern has 30 crazy bright LEDs and cuts through the darkness on the stormiest, dimmest nights. The entire tent or room can be lit up. The collapsible design reduces or increases the light as you collapse the lantern. It's as small as your phone when it's collapsed. It's possible to fit it in your backpack or emergency kit. Waterproof is made of aircraft grade materials and is able to survive a 10-foot drop. The original version is hand-crafting each lantern with strict quality control to give you the best gear you deserve. Don't equip yourself with inferior lanterns. 👤3 AA batteries are required. Surprisingly light for the size. It's not cheap to use China plastic. It's ridiculous how bright this thing is. I hang this and put it on the table like a regular lantern. It is black and folds up compact. It looks like a tactical move. It's easy to turn on. Simply open it and it will be on. It's not necessary to misplace a small switch or button in the dark. We had a cabin fire and I threw the broken window out to break it. I am sad that my lantern is missing. If you've read my review so far, this is a test. If so, well done. I am going to give you lunch. I apologize for lying to you.
👤I bought this lantern almost a year ago, but VONT has started sending me emails that are not related to the lantern. I would not recommend anyone buy anything from this company. If they're selling your email address and other information to other people for a few pennies, you're probably right. This needs to be fixed by Amazon. There is a The lantern worked for a while, but then the lights started flickering, making it useless.
👤I dropped it and it didn't break. The plastic doesn't seem to crack or break, and they both light up very well. The batteries are included. It's a straight forward approach. These will help when the power goes out, light up a tent well, and provide a work area. The handles are strong. There is no flashlight feature. Straight forward lanterns are what these are.
👤We are camping. The lanterns are easy to use and have a good price. These put off a good amount of light. The led bulbs are used in them. The hanging feature is great. We can either hang from the interior hook built into the roof of our tent or place it on our picnic table. It gave us plenty of light to take care of things before bed. The camping bins have these additions. After my husband got our generator going, we grabbed one of these and were no longer sitting in the dark. These are better than a flashlight in those situations as they are directional light and they light up a room quite well.
👤There are many good things about these mini L.E.D. lanterns. Value For The Dollar is one of the most important criteria when I rate a product. These lanterns deliver. They are light and bright. There are others on the market that are less expensive. I decided to purchase these because they were plastic. The base and the body were not damaged. The batteries seem to last a long time. If you lock your eyes on them, they will be bright enough to make your vision blurry. At $7. I feel like I have great value for the dollar. Some of the brands with metal bases were reviewed and commented on, and they were found to be rusting up after contact with water.
The camping lantern can be fully charged by an outlet within 2 hours. The solar panel and hand crank are designed for emergencies. If you want to expose the solar panel to the sun, you can do it with the bottom crank handle. The main light can be on for 35 hours. It is easy to turn on or off the solar camping lantern by pulling up or pushing down the top part, and you can adjust the brightness by changing the height of the lantern torch. The bottom flashlight can be used as a searching flashlight. The handles are designed to hang the lantern on a tree or tent. Their solar powered lantern is bright enough to illuminate your surroundings, and it can do so for 200 hours. The replaceable battery has a long life. Don't replace the battery often, it's economical and eco-friendly. The 350lm flashlight is perfect for home power failure or outdoor camping. The hand crank flashlight can be used as a camping lantern or a flashlight for searching. It can easily charge more than one cellphone for important calls or texts with a built-inusb output port. You will not be afraid of being left with a dead phone. The portable lantern is made of quality plastic material. It is available on rainy days. The stretched solar lamp is lightweight and foldable, easy to carry and store for travel. There are very reliable survival gear and equipment. Their lantern comes with a 12 months warranty and lifetime technical support. The portable lantern is made of quality plastic material. It is available on rainy days. 👤This thing will last a long time. I put it in my closet to see how long it lasted. It was still shining 2 full days later. It will get you through a night in the wilderness or a power outage. After 2 days it was still bright enough to walk around in a black room without tripping over anything but it was only 10% of its original brightness. It is cool that this has a variety of charging options. The manual said that the solar charging is only good for topping off and not for a full charge. I didn't like how the crank was set up. The arm is not folded out flat. It sits at a 30 degree angle, so if you don't consciously hold it open, it will fold back in. Still functional. It doesn't have a meter that shows the charge level. If you want to charge it and leave it with an emergency pack, you won't know when it is fully charged up, because you can't see if it maintained its charge. I was given a sample lantern to review.
👤There are many features on this lantern. There are ports for charging a phone with the lantern, 3 ways to charge the lantern itself, and 2 types of lights. It's amazing that it's so small. The handles fold right into the main light. It's a great design. This product was offered to me in exchange for an honest review.
👤We had a few power outages this year and I wanted to find something that would work in different situations. The lanterns came un charged because there were no clear answers for the solar charge and hand crank. The minimum solar charge/output was tried out by me. I put them in the windows on a cloudy day. The flashlight is brighter than the lantern, but it goes dim after 30 minutes. When it's fully charged, both are half the brightness. Both become too dim to use after 1.5 hours. The manual says 30min charge. I did not do this experiment on a sunny day because it charged from sunrise to sunset. I think it would be double these results. I will update if I ever do. The manual says that pic 2 can be charged via the usb port, but there is no indicator for charging. 35hrs working time, hasn't used it long enough to confirm, manual says 10min charge is enough for 30 mins working time, people have a lot of expectations in the comments
👤I bought five lanterns as gifts and one for myself. I put it on my charging port for a while to see how it worked. The lantern and flashlight were both very bright and brilliant and it seemed to be what I wanted. I put the unit back on the charge for 1.5 hours. The lantern exploded in my office two feet away from it. The battery exploded and the top part shot up all the way to the ceiling, making a hole in the ceiling. The smoke detector went off as the room filled with fire. I was able to put out the fire, but some of my carpet was damaged. One must be careful with the batteries. This exploded as I said. I used my fire extinguisher after it was loud and shot out flame. If I had been near the lantern, I would have been hurt. I'm returning all of the lanterns. I am thankful that this happened to my unit and not to a family member.
In case of an emergency, 2000 mAh power bank is all you need to charge your phone. Their camping lantern has a large capacity 3000 battery, it has 3 power supply modes, a solar panel, and a hand crank. The camping light can last for up to 35 hours without needing to change the batteries frequently, and it is more convenient and friendly than other lanterns which need AA batteries. Long working time and multi-charging ways give you a reliable light source during a power outage. The solar camping lantern has a flashlight mode and a lantern mode. Pull or push the handle to turn on or close the lantern and adjust the light by controlling the pulled height. Click the button to turn on the light and it will illuminate with strong brightness and distance for up to 30 hours after fully charged. The camping light is easy to carry and fit in your handbag or backpack without taking a lot of space. Two foldaway handles make the hand crank lantern flashlight convenient for suspension, portable, and hanging it on tents or outside branches to keep your hands free and perfect as emergency survival kits for hurricanes, camping, hiking, and other outdoor activities. The camping lamp is made of high quality ABS material and IPX4 water resistant to endure the harsh weather condition as well as rough handling. The collapsible lantern with the low consumptionLED bulbs can provide the ultra- bright light of a lantern and work up to 35 hours in lantern mode, which is longer than a regular lantern, suitable for indoor or outdoor activities. 👤I sent it back because I read the directions. You can't use the sun to charge the lantern. You will lose the light if you use it to charge anything else. The only way to charge it without the internet was hand cranking. I need something that will use solar to keep me on the trail for more than a day. The directions stated that the AC adapter that came with the product was not a good idea and that the proper charging station is available. Don't buy if you're warned.
👤The only reason we gave this lantern 2 stars was because it is correct in concept, it is lightweight, portable, and can be charged by solar, and has a hand crank in an emergency. The lantern fails in execution and hope the next revision fixes some of the issues described below. Our first test was only 5 hours, and the lantern does not last anywhere close to the advertised 35 hours. It is possible that we could have gotten a better battery, but this order of magnitude difference shows the company does not do any basic testing before sending units out the door. If you throw the lantern in a duffel bag, back of the car, or your backpack, it will open and you will find a dead lantern. The fault alone was a dealbreaker. We got a Enbrighten lantern that has 75 hours on a 4400 mAh battery and is much brighter on its lowest setting, so it must be a ton more efficient. There is a provision to insert 3removable D batteries for 350 additional hours or 175 additional hours in our tests. We decided to get an external solar charger when they become more affordable because it is not so lightweight or compact and does not have alternative charging mechanisms. Save yourself the trouble and spend more money on a better lantern. Should you need a lantern in an emergency, you will thank yourself.
👤The light is bright. We went camping for 2 nights and it stayed lit. I was able to charge my phone. The hand crank is not the most comfortable grip, but if you need light and not a charge, it works. It was raining and overcast over the weekend, but the solar charge works well. It works best as a light but not the best charger.
👤The lantern is more than I expected. It does everything I need. I wanted a light source that didn't rely on batteries. It has a crank and is charged. And very light. I keep this one in a closet if the power goes out. I plan to give more as gifts.
👤Our solar isn't working so we bought this to give us more light at night. It was dead by 6:30 in the morning on the first night. I don't think I charged it enough. I leave it plugged in most of the day. We use it for a couple hours at night, then turn it off the next morning. It doesn't dim and seems to run. I have charged it in the sun but the charge is not very long with constant use. We have a solar power system that works for us. The lantern is very bright. The flashlight part works very well. It was a little awkward to hold the flashlight part in your hand. We bought it again for the lantern part. It is lightweight, bright, and has a good battery life.
If you're after an awesome addition to someone's camping essentials or camping accessories, or you simply want the best-in-class led lantern to prepare for all situations, this set is the tactical choice. The led lights are portable and can be used as lanterns. It is a portable light that can be used as a mini flashlight and a camping lantern. It's only 5.9 ounces in weight and foldable, it can fit in your backpack or emergency kit, it's as small as your phone. It's good when traveling, camping, hiking, picnicking and more. It can either be charged via regular 5Vusb charging cable or hand cranking when you're out of power. It can be used as a power bank in emergencies. High and Low are the two lighting modes for the lanterns. The lighting requirements can be met with 65, 15 and low brightness. The high mode is great for camping, hiking, reading, and the low mode is great as a tent light. The fail-safes in the smart protection chip protect your lantern from overcharging, over-discharging and over-circuiting. 👤This was purchased to modify and install a led inside. It was made well and it was decent made. The battery is a hybrid. The led was wired in and I measured the voltage. On low: 2.68v, on high: 3.06. A generic chip is mounted on a star board. It is likely capable of more power. It has two modes, a low and a high. The feature is nice, but just 30 seconds of cranking will get you a decent run time. It was on for over five minutes on low. There are 3 tiny screws that hold the top part of the lantern down. It is possible that it may get pulled off over time. It is well constructed and the price is not too bad.
👤Let the light shine! My previouslantern style light used non-rechargeable batteries and was big and bulky. When I needed to change out my cable in the attic, I found this light to be a great light. It's perfect for other needs when a flashlight isn't right. I put this in a clear plastic bag and hang it on a command hook on the back of the bathroom doors, so I will know where it is if the power goes out. I will put one in each of the vehicles glove boxes. I didn't receive this product for free or at a reduced price, so I didn't make an "unbiased" review. I paid for it myself. I did not receive compensation to review the product. The above review is my opinion after using the product. So there!
👤These are my first impressions after receiving this light. I will update this review after camping. It was a little smaller than I expected, at 3 1/2 inch diameter and 5 1/2 inch tall. It is 5.90oz and weighs 0.270 lbs. After only a few minutes of "winding," it was brighter than I had expected. I didn't like the plastic that was used in the lantern because it was thin and easily creased when the halves were pulled apart. I believe that over time, this will tear or wear into it. .... The lantern cost a little more than other sources but it feels better made to me. I think that I can replace the diffuser with milk jug plastic if it does fail, since it will save the lantern for use but lose the compactness of collapsing it. I have some small battery lanterns that use a spring and a cloth tube, I may look into doing something similar if the need arises.
👤One of the most useful items I've ever purchased! It was in time for a power outage last winter. I was able to use the solar panel I bought to hook up theusb charging device because I was able to crank them for good power lighting most of the time. The panel in my south-facing kitchen window gave me a lot of light in both compressed and expanded mode. I'm buying more. These should be in the emergency kit or go-bag.
