Consumption requirements can be different from person to person. The flavor is mixed. There are 4 x 180 tablets. 20 calories per tab for 12 chewable tablets. The bottle weight is approximately 1.8 pound. The dimensions are 7.5 x W 5 x D. The bottle weight is approximately 1.8 pound. The dimensions are 7.5 x W 5 x D.
👤How many tabs do you have? More like 180 and won't answer my messages.
👤I received one of the containers. For one container, it's $150. Hope you correct the mistake.
👤The description says there are 4 bottles. I received 3 bottles and 540 tabs. I was going to buy more if I liked these, because it's a simple way to prepare for emergencies and it has a long shelf life, but I was shorted an entire bottle.
👤This will be a great back up for any emergency. Natural disasters, stranded somewhere, or anything else can happen in this day and age. I laughed at a reviewer who was complaining about the daily calories. Something is better than nothing in an emergency. It's not a gourmet meal, but it's a great back-up for either nothing or filling in on limited food choices you may have in your pantry, as well as being a great way to meet your daily calories intake. In an emergency, you will have to use what you have on hand, and this is just another reassurance you can have somewhere in your home, or even take while camping for weeks on end in the middle of no where! This is a great addition to anyone who cares about preparing for an emergency, or just doesn't want to be taken by surprise in the event of an emergency. The Red Cross believes in a few days of preparation. Does it matter how it tastes if you are desperate?
👤Not bad. I tried a few. I can't say the flavor is exactly as described, but I can see how they'll help you feel like you've eaten something, even if you don't have vitamins or minerals.
👤I bought these for a worst case scenario to have the key minerals and ingredients. For 15 days, each container has 100 percent of your key nutrients. It's definitely expensive but it's cheaper than freeze dried food as I have quite a few of these and ramen for pure empty calories. I think they taste really good. It's a key component to any survivalist.
👤If this keeps 25 years, I think you'd need more than that to survive, but it works for me. They tasted really good when I tried them. You would need about 3 times the ration per day. They don't take a lot of space. I'll buy a few.
👤I only received a 30 day supply of survival tabs after ordering a 60 day supply. I paid 158 dollars for a 60 day supply.
👤Good product. It took a long time to get here. Canada customs is to blame for that.
A high energy value and ready to eat. The U.S. Coast Guard was approved. The U.S. Coast guard and Canadian transport department rely on Ready America's emergency food ration bars with a long shelf life so you can be confident that you're getting the real deal. Ready to eat for 5 years. Bring with you on camping trips, mountain bike rides, hiking, or store somewhere safe for a quick way to refuel when you need it most. Keep up to 5 years for emergency preparedness. It can be stored outside. If you need to be prepared for emergencies, keep your emergency kits in your car, boat, RV or anywhere you need to. The Apple Cinnamon Flavour: APPLE CINNAMON. Provides needed nutrition while enjoying the food. The bar has a delicious apple cinnamon flavor. 20 food bar ration for the whole family. The Apple Cinnamon Flavour: APPLE CINNAMON. Provides needed nutrition while enjoying the food. The bar has a delicious apple cinnamon flavor. 20 food bar ration for the whole family.
👤The texture and flavor are okay. When compared to other types of emergency food, it's not going to win any awards. It's durable and not terrible. If you catch it when it's down, it's still ok because the price is higher than it used to be. The bars were already a year old when I opened the package. Only four years left. Losing a year right from the start is not good, I don't know about other people, but even 5 years flies by. This was a direct purchase and shipment from Amazon, not a 3rd party seller. I'm also going to go to all the time and trouble to return the items. I would like to have these on hand as well. I don't think I'll buy more food products from Amazon because this brand is hard to find elsewhere. The case of 1200 cal Bars arrived in their original case with no packing or outside shipping container. It's hard to tell how many bars have been damaged. The bars are 6 months past their manufactured date, so they lost some time, but they are better than the 2400 cal Bars. I tried some bars with damaged wrapping and was hopeful that the bars were not sitting in the warehouse for 6 months with broken wrapping. The bars tasted like a dry, crumbly sugar cookie that smelled and tasted like apple cinnamon. Not great taste but not bad either. The 1200 call Bars are easier to eat than the 2400 call Bars. The 1200's are very thin. The 1200 cal Bars are more expensive than all but the cal 400 Bars. When the damaged items and lost storage time are taken into account, it's even more so.
👤The packs of bars were purchased at a cost of $120. The value per calories is really good. I've seen emergency food bars that are 3x the price on Amazon. A decent deal. Only one of the 40 items was fully sealed. Not bad considering the reviews I've read of other brands. I don't trust that product to be safe to eat in the long term because I didn't receive undamaged product. Oh well. The taste is like a dense pound cake with a little lemon flavor. I'm sure it would get tiring fast. The brick of food is hard to eat, but once you snap it is easy to eat. The brick of food is huge. It could be useful to divide portions into emergency car or hiking snacks. The package says that it is not thirst provoking, and that you will not be in for a fun time if you don't drink water with it. I recommend drinking water with it.
👤I'm very sad. The bars I received were already one year old, so they will not last 5 years. I will find them fresh when I return them.
👤Solid, good taste. It's great with coffee. If I had to, I could live off of these.
👤The shelf life is 5 years. They only have 4 years left for life after I received these bars. The product is good and I got it fast. Thank you!
There are safe, sustainable ingredients that provide the benefits of a soy- and gluten-free diet. The package for total fat and saturated fat content has 10g Protein and 6g Fieber. Plant-based fiber and energy from plants keep you moving. A mix of natural ingredients provide healthy energy and a quick meal on-the-go. You can feel good knowing that you are feeding your body with healthy ingredients. Non-GMO project verification: PROBAR products are non-GMO.
👤These are great to have on hand when I'm in a rush and need food on my way somewhere. They don't melt when I keep them in the car. I don't know how my cash gift will be used and I hate walking past homeless people. When I see one in my car, I offer it to them to say it's not a candy bar. Mountain climbers use a real meal. I feel good about it because they always seem appreciative. Thanks, Probar. You make God happy.
👤The bars are half the size they used to be and the cost is twice the price.
👤There are a lot of calories in these, but there are also a lot of calories in sugar. There is a sugar derivative after the other. I'm going to make my own breakfast bars. This was a good experiment. I won't be buying them again.
👤I found these bars at a local store, but found the price at Amazon to be a better deal if I wanted to buy a bunch of the same flavor. The PROBAR Meal Bars are perfect for when I don't have time to prepare a full meal while running late in the morning. I can eat them on the go. They are perfect for road trips when I don't want to stop for lunch, but I use them when I need a breakfast subsitute. Even though they are a complete meal, I still supplement with fruit and a beverage. This lasts longer for me than a bowl of oatmeal or cereals, if I don't supplement with a solid source of food.
👤I was skeptical at first, but decided to buy these on The lightning deal and I'm so happy I did! You can read all the ingredients and understand what they are with the taste. These are perfect for a run or long workout because I am currently breastfeeding. Natural sugars from the ingredients are healthy because you need the calories to burn during a workout, hike, run, or other activity. Runners eat gummy bears and raisins during long runs. If you are complaining about the sugar content of the bars, you should know what they are for. I would compare them to cliff bars.
👤I fell in love with one of these at my wife's office. Meal replacement bars are usually gross, but they taste like a cookie. The oatmeal chocolate and peanut ones are my favorites. Since these are meal replacements, they have a lot of calories, but will keep you satisfied for a long time.
👤This and the chocolate coconut are my favorites so far. I liked the banana one. I was able to down a few of them before I got tired of that flavor.
👤Enjoy these. The latest shipment to me was not enjoyable. The bars are not new. The 'use by' date was April 2021.
There is a watering can. The Stker Flatpack Stove comes with a natural canvas sleeve. This sleeve can be used as storage for your stove and also as a bag. The perfect accessory for an adventure. It is made with a long shelf life so that the taste is the same even if you stock up for a long period of time. Each bar has over 400 calories. There are different fruit flavors in the Venetian pastries, such as Lemon,Raspberry,Cherry, Tropical fruit, and Orange bars. It will not make you thirsty or dry out your mouth. You will get 6 different flavors. The packing material isdurable. The packing is vacuum packed and free of the harmful chemicals that can be found in food. The packaging is very well sealed. If you are in an emergency situation like calamity, out of food, camping, boating, hiking, or more, these are a good substitute. They are ready to eat for adults and kids. Excellent gift for your friends, kids or anyone in your life. There are survival tips inside for you and your family.
👤I understand that this is not a snack food. You can live on dandelions, boiling tree bark, and eating worms. Survival food doesn't have to taste like filet mignon, but it should at least keep you going and not make you want to stop eating. The taste is my main complaint. Oh God! The taste... The taste is amazing. The flavors are reviewed. We all know that you buy this food because it is pre-made and is supposed to be usable. It's true, but I wouldn't choke down one of the sugar bricks if anyone else was available. The taste deserves 100 stars. I have given it 2 stars because it is survival food, but there are many better options. Let's get to texture and taste. It is a texture. Imagine if you mashed a cup of sugar, a cup of sand, and a cup of flour and oil into a meal, and then colored it with sand. That is the most appealing description I could give. The texture was universal. There is a The reviews on taste are from the first bite to the last. There is a It's a fruit. It tasted like the shipment didn't show up. They put the air freshener in the mixing bowl after taking it out of the men's restroom. I felt like I was eating a cake. It doesn't describe it very well. It's a third trimester abortion. I feel like I made a mistake. There is a First blush... I thought maybe not. The artificial cherry flavor tasted like cherry Twizzlers and dry sugar cookie dough, and the baby that was put up for adoption grew up in a Detroit inner city orphanage. I swallowed it. There is a I'm not happy with this so far, but it's lemon... who could possibly make a mistake? Yeah... I was back in hell. It was like eating powdered kitty litter. It was oily, horrible, and long after taste... The person who signed off on this should be ashamed of themselves. I tried to spit it out. I cried a little thinking about having to continue. I put these things in my mouth, even though I didn't want to. It wasn't bad. It was like eating a poptart, if you dropped it in the sand, but were still hungry, you picked it up and ate it. This was the best of the bunch. There is a I had hopes after the berry, but they were dashed. The apricot was almost tasteless at first, but then it became like those sugar covered apricot rings. Artificial doesn't even begin to describe it. Bishop from Aliens was more natural than this. I spit it out. It wasn't good as a berry. It was disappointing. You might be able to maintain your nutrition. You will want to kill yourself by the third bar if you want to get another one. It makes you want to kill yourself. It was hard, hard pass.
👤The ratings for the 3-star and below are for laughs. The complainers won't eat these because they won't survive the emergency. These are very good. Those who eat candy bars and Twinkies will find the sawdust comments fair. The texture is standard for this type of bar. They don't taste like sawdust. It's a good idea to put this in the family car for emergencies. I would eat these as a treat if I were watching a video. The first 36 bars were for $47. You can get these for 6 bars. That is an increase from the previous price of $1.30 per bar. Is it possible for CV-19 to be priced too much? I will not buy these for those prices because I still have 2 years left on my last order. Uncalled for when pricing in inflation. They are very good. I don't want to pay the price. I have several options in my plan. I hope they can be replaced with cheaper options.
1.3oz Bars, 12 ct. A pack of emergency food has a shelf life of 5 years. The US Coast Guard has standards. The requirement of SOLAS 74/83 is met. Both are Kosher and Halal. It is high in vitamins and minerals. There is noCholesterol or Tropical Oils. No peanut butter or peanut oil. There is no thievery provoking. The temperature can be as low as -40 F to 300F.
👤The first picture is what you should receive, and I have stored this in my backpack from a purchase I made in 2012 The "six pack" crease in the vacuum sealed bag indicates the ration is vacuum sealed. The ration should be sealed in a vacuum so that it will last for 5 years. I received a picture of the package on the table from the seller. This is the second faulty ration I have received from this seller. The tell tale sign that the package has lost its vacuum seal is the lack of "six pack" creases in the package. The bricks breaking away from each other is a sign that the seal has been broken and the brick has lost its integrity. I gave them a star because they sent me a replacement for the first package that was faulty. They only get one star because the second package was bad. If you get a package with a broken vacuum vacuum seal, it is not good, and it has already begun to spoil. Return to the seller.
👤All packages were vacuum packed and sealed. I opened one and tried. It was good and filling. Waited an hour and did not cause thirst.
👤I'm an old boy scout. "Be prepared" is my motto. When we least expect it, emergencies arise. It's better to have something and not need it. You can't always take a pantry of canned food with you everywhere you go, and the case of MRE's in your truck may be a long way down the trail. You can put this in a daypack and have a 3-day emergency food ration for less space than 6 MRE's. I carry this with me in a Camelbak M.U.L.E., with some water purification crystals, an Aquamira emergency filter straw, a lockback knife, compass, Mag-lite, Swedish Firesteel, and a AMK heatsheets bivvy. There's still room for more than one rain jacket. If you know what you're doing, that's food, water and shelter for 3-7 days. This product will keep you alive and moving if you need it. If you're a fan of The Lord of the Rings, you should pretend it's Lembas. People can pretend it's not manna. You'll think it's heavenly when you use it.
👤I've carried these in my backpack through blazing days and freezing nights, left one in the back of my truck for 4 years, and conducted various other abuses on this stuff, but the taste is good, no rancidity or unpleasant flavors. This is the kind of thing you should carry in your car, backpack, and go-back for that "just in case" moment. 3,600 calories is enough to get you through three days of waiting for someone to come and find you, or a solid day of tabbing across broken countryside to get yourself back to civilization. It tastes better than MREs.
👤The package labeling on the product I received was tampered with. The items have a shelf life of 5 years. The area where the manufacturing date is supposed to be listed had been marked out with a black marker and covered with a permanent-stick barcode instead. There is no way to know when these were produced. These packages are out of date and being sold for a new price. Product and merchant have a 1 star rating. I contacted Amazon and was assured that this is not how they conduct business and that a refund would be issued immediately. I have no doubts about it. I was not required to return the item because of its weight. I was told by Amazon to do whatever I wanted with it. I kept it for a couple of weeks but forgot it for the time being. The vacuum seal failed when I returned to examine the item. The item appeared to be full of air and not secure. It was somewhat surprising that the mylar covering on this isn't strong. I opened the package to look at it. Being mostly flour, sugar and shortening it was still good. The package contained nine 2x2 cubes which tasted like very dense cornbread. It's pleasant as others report. I wouldn't want to try to survive for three days or more. It would get old very quickly. It's supposedly an "emergency" ration. I can assure you that after living on this for three days, you won't be in good shape. The metabolism problems would be caused by the large amounts of sugar and fat. The majority of the sugar would turn into fat. The shortening is non-digestible and has very little "food" value. Whole wheat does not have the nutrition value of enriched flour. It would be like living for 3 days on high-fat sugar cookies. I bought a package of trail mix that had a "use-by" date of 2 years, but it was mostly nuts, roasted soy beans and dehydrated fruit. I found I could do well on a small amount of trail mix, which is why it's called trail mix in the first place. One could eat a small amount of trail mix every hour or two and be satisfied with their nutrition even for three days or more. One would have a light-weight emergency ration with some beef or turkey jerky. I found the other options much better than the emergency ration. The packets have a "5 year shelf life" on them. These aren't "C rations", they are basically mass-marketed and questionably-presented junk food. "let the buyer beware" is a phrase used in this case. I recommend that you read the nutrition labels and then buy some trail mix and jerky to see how it does in a test situation. I think the alternatives are more appetizing and satisfying. The product failed to impress... It was lost on all counts. I wouldn't want to rely on this stuff for sustenance unless I was starving and there were no rats to hunt. I don't usually give products one star. Product quality and merchant deceptive practice are both DEFINITELY one star. And no... I'm not a bad person, as my other reviews will show. There are legitimate findings and review. This is a bad product.
It doesn't need to be refrigerated until after it's opened. A delicious dessert or snack! There is a chocolate cookie sandwich. There is no need for interment. Ice cream is freeze-dried to keep it fresh. It won't stick to your fingers, and it won't make a mess on your shirt. No mess with ice cream. Ready to eat. The ice cream sandwich is ready to be eaten out of the bag. There was no need for preparation. TerraCycle uses recycled used packaging to reduce waste. The shelf life of ice cream is two years. It's great for outdoor recreation adventures.
👤These are a great option to satisfy a sweet tooth when regular ones are unavailable. The ice cream sandwich is a little smaller than a generic ice cream sandwich. The texture of the ice cream is that of marshmallows. The outer cookie part is average. The ice cream sandwich has the same taste. The price is high but the shelf life is extensive. I'm satisfied and I'll keep buying when they are on sale. The item needs to be shipped in a box. I ordered one to try out and it was crushed when I received it because it was in one of the plastic bags.
👤I would never buy a meal from this place again because it was so bad and I threw up after eating 2 bites.
👤I have not had these things in a long time. I still love them. It was cracked and crumbled up a little in each individual package, but theses are great fun to give to family members and kids as gifts, and they taste like a sweet air waiter. If you have a sweet tooth and don't have to worry about them melting or going bad forever, this is the best deal for the money on Amazon. Excellent stuff. It was worth a try. I only say 4/5 stars because of the fact that there are a couple that were broken up and falling apart in comparison to the ones that were mostly intact. Good stuff.
👤I bought 3 and 2. It was ok. It's great to show kids what astronauts eat. It is exactly what it says it is. The 3rd one we couldn't eat because the wrapper was open. This product is still recommended by me as issues like this happen from time to time.
👤I was disappointed with the lack of flavor in the bars. You get barely a hint of what you would think they should be, even though the options are labeled asflavored. They were almost always broken when they arrived. It's hard to eat.
👤This product is only good for less than two years, which is not long for a long shelf life. I can't comment on the actual flavor because I haven't tried it yet. I was not happy with shelf life. I will lower the rating if the taste is bad.
👤I only like these ice cream bars when I'm in a kid's museum and there's a gift shop. If it's your first time, this would be a good treat, and I thought it would be a good treat after a long day of backpacking. It seems like these things are best used for nostalgia. It tastes decent and is interesting to have a dessert like this in the woods. If you're not concerned about that kind of thing, a chocolate bar with some marshmallows would be a better option.
👤From one package to the next, it has the same taste and texture. We use them in our emergency kits, in bug out bags, and in the cars. I like that it doesn't make a mess to eat. As you break them into pieces or bite them, they get a bit flaky. Not messy.
A high energy value and ready to eat. The total of 120 bars with 200 calories per bar is in the value pack. It is packaged in a way that makes it easy to ration and store in your survival and disaster kit. The coconut flavor is superior and all natural. 5 year shelf life for USCG, Canadian Coast Guard, EC and NZ approvals. A high energy value and ready to eat.
👤I got a bunch of these five years ago for some car kits. The two kits I kept in the garage were found during fall cleaning. I was pleasantly surprised when I checked out the food. The MREs had held up well, but one cheese spread packet was not good. The Datrex are rationed. They were perfect. The packaging was tight and the taste was good. Two of these and a packet of peanuts are all you need for a light lunch. The garage has been exposed to variable temperatures over the course of a year. I have 10 minutes to refresh the contents of the car kits. If my friends want to eat these, that's not a problem. Some people have trouble opening the bars. That is a pain. It would be great to see a notification that says "pull here" so you can find the edge of the wrapper. I use a small knife. These are rather wet. You need to chew them slowly. They come apart easily since they're pressed blocks of powders and shortening. If you're looking for long-term food that doesn't need a lot of care, they're a great deal. They'll be fine if you get 'em and forget 'em.
👤I will keep these in my pantry for the rest of my life. It is nice to know that you have some calories waiting for you. About like a dry cookie, they are not bad tasting. Not in a bad way. They don't make you thirsty. It's a good thing to have in your pantry. Hope this helps someone.
👤If you're stuck in a survival situation, Datrex is a good source of calories. I would rather carry 2 of these 2400 calories packs than the blue 3600 calories pack. Less chance of wasting money. 1200 calories per day x 4 is plenty of energy to get out when you need to, even if you're carrying 2 of these. If you put 1 in your bugout bag, you can ration 800 calories a day for 3 days and still cover basic body functions. They can be cooked down with water to make a decent hot meal for a little boost in confidence. They're a bit dry to just eat without something to drink, making them more palatable with some water between mouthfuls. Be careful how you store these. The mylar outer package can get damaged if not protected. They will be ok for a while, but not for long if they get damp. I ate one as a test and it was still viable, even though I had a few get punctured in my backpack or behind the seat of my truck. The small bars are wrapped in a thin plastic covering, but they are not sealed. It helps keep the bars together.
👤They were delivered in a box. I opened the vacuum sealed in white pack. The bars were wrapped in a clear film. I couldn't figure out how to open the thing after taking one out. I peeled the plastic off of the corner of the cookie block. They taste like a coconut pecan Sandy cookie, like someone else mentioned. I thought of Lord of the Rings and the lamass bread that Frodo and Sam had to eat. If you have to use these in a situation where you have to deliver the ring of power to the lava river of Mount Doom, you should pretend you are on a journey.
The weight of the box is 1.8 lbs. The bottle dimensions are 7.5 x W 5 x D. Emergency food ration is in waterproof packs and in a convenient pocket size. The biscuits are compressed high energy. Relief operations during natural or man-made disasters, emergency preparedness, outdoor activities, and as a food supplement are some of the uses of the NRG-5 ration. The air sealed packaging has a shelf life of 20 years. A 500g pack contains 9 individual bars with an energy value of 260 kcal each, which are vacuum-welded together in an aluminum foil. A 500g pack offers more than an average daily emergency of 1800-2000 kcal.
👤I bought two of them, one to try and the other to store for emergencies. Emergency ration bars are not meant for fun or very enjoyable situations. They're meant to provide energy and calories to keep you alive in a disaster. They're manageable if you're not picky. They're cheaper than most others, and better packed, and will take up less space. If you're careful, you can break off small pieces to eat without getting crumbs everywhere. They are wrapped individually in a vacuum sealed pack. If the sealed thing remains open, they will last up to 25 years. Have some water with you. If you don't have anything to drink, they'll be hard to eat. It's very unlikely for them to rot or mold because they have no water in them, which is a good thing. An economical emergency-pack choice. The box says it's made in Germany. I had some over a couple days. I had them as morning snacks to get me up and going, and maybe give me more energy to make more food. At first, they're not bad. If you chew slowly and don't rush yourself to choke it down, you will produce enough saliva to make it decent. Going slower is better for your digestion. So. I started to like it and was a little disappointed that I didn't have more to snack on. I had no issues after that. I think they're a good choice. They have a lot of sugar overall. What do you think the purpose of these is? These aren't fancy healthy meals you make from stuff you bought at WholeFoods. They're ration bars. It's meant to keep you alive long enough to get home in an emergency. Jeez, yeah. You're not supposed to eat them all the time. Some people don't know what survival ration is.
👤The survival ration is 25 years shelf stable and temperature stable. It's perfect to put in your boat, cabin or wherever you need it. If you want something that's not boring while you enjoy yourself at the gym or do selfies on a trail, go somewhere else. It tastes like a bag of mini wheats. It's designed to keep you alive if things get bad. Period. You need to make sure you have water in hand before you eat it, it will seriously dry your mouth out. There is no way to reseal it after opening it, so keep it in a bag. This is a survival ration. It is necessary to have shelf stability and ease of use in an emergency. It's not something that it is, stop trying to make it that way.
👤It is a good idea to trade calories for shelf live over life raft ration. I usually get 3600 calories life raft ration for $8 but they only have a 5 year shelf life. The flavor is ok but you will need water to drink. It is the equivalent of eating sweetened chalk. We don't buy these for a Saturday afternoon snack, but we do buy them for emergencies and for the calories, shelf live, and price they are well worth the investment.
A high energy value and ready to eat. The US Coast Guard approved a 12-day supply of food.
👤These seemed like a good option for me because I just began dabbling in the 'go bag' world. These are dry, crumbly lemon flavors in squares of food. These are what they are described as. I waited so long for the review to be done that I didn't get to test the claims. I went with the 2400 because one review mentioned that a pack went stale the next day. I tried one and it made me feel a bit hungry and tired for a day. I left half of the bag in a zip lock bag for a month to see if the theory was true. The packaging got weird reviews. One of my bags opened on their own, which is what some of them did. The way some are sealed makes them run out of stuff. They crammed the bars in and hoped for the best, but got the worst. I ate that pack and moved on. I did not get packs less than 5 years before they expired. I got it 3 months after I received it. For the price, I would just stick with the bars and keep them in your pack for 6 months.
👤It's a good dessert. As a meal replacement, curious how the scientists or whoever decided that sugar is the only food in an emergency. The foil packaging is not resealable. A bag is suggested by some. The plastic is bound to wear out in a vehicle. The solution is to put the cubes in a bottle.
👤These are nice. It's easy to fit a couple into your backpack. One block will stop your hunger and hold you over for a while.
👤This is a thick, dehydrated sugar cookie. The ingredients verify what your taste buds will conclude when you eat a sugar cookie. Enriched Flour is the main ingredient. There is nothing to indicate that anything is complete. You could live off of it for a short time. You wouldn't use this for weeks on end.
👤I like to try out products before I buy them. I have been using a brick for some hikes. I was surprised by the taste and the texture of the cookie. A small piece can give a boost to a hike. It would probably last a long time without dehydrating you. The brick can be broken into 6 cubes. The cubes are difficult to break up with a knife. They make a mess. I put the main pakage in a gallon and it seems to be enough for hiking.
👤I haven't tried yet. These are so heavy. They were good for hiking. I don't know how Marines carry trunks. We will keep them at home for emergencies.
👤These were bought for emergency use cases. The kids liked it when we tried it out. It is definitely dense but not too sweet. My kids thought it was a sugar cookie.
👤This tasted better than I anticipated. The packaging is very heavy. This will be great for disasters.
The water is lightweight and extremely compact. Individual sachets are ideal for storage. It's easy to put in a survival kit with a pre-measured sachet. Such, Canadian Coast guard, EC and New Zealand approval.
👤My hope was that I wouldn't have to use it. I put them in a bug out bag and kept my car. I would never have to break down in the wilderness or have to bug out, and these would be just a piece of mind. I knew there was a problem when I picked up the box. Two of the 18 pouches I ordered were completely empty and at least 3 more felt partially drained, but I couldn't confirm a leak. It's problematic because it soaked the other products in the box, which is less than ideal, and it's also problematic because I don't know if they'll survive 2 days of padded shipping.
👤I keep a go bag with a few to carry around for emergencies. One of the waters that was open to try out tasted like water. It doesn't have a funny or plastic taste. Just water. I made my own MRE by adding a zip lock bag and 2 pouches of water. There is a pouch of instant drink mix. There is a pouch of StarKist Tuna. Uncle Ben's Ready Rice has a pouch. There are some plastic silverware.
👤Great water! It came back with 74 parts per million of total dissolved solids, which is below the EPA limit of 500 parts per million. It's acceptable that the Alkalinity is a little low. It wasn't bad. It was shipped fast and in good shape. Stock up.
👤I bought these to replace the packs I had stored. Water does not go bad if it is properly stored. In the time I have indicated. Some of these were 11 years old when I drank them. I couldn't tell the difference between the old and the new ones. I keep these in different back packs, one for camping, a general emergency bag, and my bug out bag. The water from my car bag still tastes good over 10 years after it was purchased. I bought these new ones in Feb, 2021.
👤I paid for 18 of them. The box was inside a bag. Someone tried to "solve" the deflated pouch by putting the whole box inside of a mailing bag. I would return these, but I don't expect to be able to find a replacement because of the panic on the East Coast. I will have to tell all of you because of the frustration of this experience.
👤This is not a 3-day supply. The shelf life listed on the package is only 3 years, since the product was already about a year and a half old. Not happy.
👤The second batches of these. We found them this summer after the first expired seven years ago. They have a long shelf life and are an excellent addition to your water Sanitation needs. We didn't drink the expired water to see how it held up. The kids are crazy.
👤Not a good choice for a large bag. The packages are 5 lbs. It was very heavy for a bug out bag. The packages are very flimsy.
