1. Augason Farms Breakfast Emergency Supply

Augason Farms Breakfast Emergency Supply

It has an average of 1250 calories per meal. 20,360 calories There are 6 breakfast varieties. A 20 year shelf life is possible.

Brand: Augason Farms

👤This is the second time I have ordered this bucket. I opened the bucket and looked at the contents. One of the bags of Maple Brown Sugar Oatmeal was pierced with a tiny hole and was no longer oxygen-free. I am dumping this bag into the trash and replacing it with a couple of Mountain House pouches of granola because I can't tell if it was due to poor handling at the factory or actual product tampering. It will cost an extra $12. Did you check the contents of your food buckets?

👤It was perfect. I wish it wasn't a box in a box. It looks like it has been opened. Handel is in good condition and I am confident that the inside is closed. I am waiting on the lunch and dinner bucket for my first breakfast. A 24lb bucket of pinto beans, 24lb of rice, 10 cans of black bean burgers, and 10 cans of bell peppers are all in a pantry full of shelf stable things. I add things to a wish list and wait for a sale to buy them. I have never been able to get any of these at full price. I have slowly been getting one or two things at a time after Covid showed me how unprepared my family is. There is a bucket of emergency food. We will be cycling through 4 months of food. There are a few months worth of shelf life items. Within a month or two, I will have 6 months worth. I have been buying more food and have been eating less to fit it. The monthly food budget is what makes my purchases come out of it.

👤The dates on the packaging don't match the promised time, so they might have been sitting in a warehouse for a while. I opened it to make sure there was no puncture and there was still a decent amount of white powder in the pail. Couldn't locate the origin. I would recommend packing some zip baggies with it because some of the multiple serving pouches can't be sealed again. I have no idea how long it was in the warehouse. I got it on sale.

👤I believe that Augason Farms Breakfast Pail is an excellent emergency prep food to keep on hand in case of an emergency in your area. Depending on how much you want to eat, there is enough in one bucket to keep a single adult for 2 weeks to a month. The packages are in mylar. You need a bucket opener to open the buckets. They can be stacked one on top of the other for storage. The meals are enjoyable. I have learned that Augason Farms makes the best tasting products for shelf-staple meals that I have been able to find thus far. They have Morning Moos milk alternative powder in both flavors. When you make them according to the directions, they taste just as good as they look.

👤Imagine for a second that you are going on a camping trip with three children. Imagine that you have to choose between making a breakfast menu and a lunch menu, and then assembling 50 pounds of fresh breakfast and dinner foods. How do you keep the milk cold? How do you store and carry it? One of these little pails and another little pail containing the Auguson Farms lunch/dinner foods menu can be carried with you. Four of you, a grandmother or two, and a breakfast pail seem to be enough.

2. Augason Farms Tomato Emergency Storage

👤I received a lot of tomato powder rocks. I spent a lot of time breaking these tomato rocks apart because I needed to use it. My recipes did not call for one medium tomato rock. Had high hopes for this brand since someone else posted pictures of nicely powdered product. This is the product for people who don't like dealing with tomato rocks.

👤I bought the tomato powder for my food storage. I decided to open it so that I wouldn't have to go out to buy tomato sauce. It's really good tasting and versatile. It can be used to make tomato sauce, pasta sauce, or just add a little here and there to enhance the flavor. There is little or no waste because I only use the amount I need. I've thrown out a lot of cans of tomato sauce and the bottle of Ketchup that was too hard to get out of. I've thrown out a lot of canned tomato products because they leaked out of their cans. Tomato powder is shelf stable for a long time after opening. It's convenient and economical to use in everyday cooking.

👤The can was full of tomato powder. The canned product tastes the same when water is mixed in. I used some in my chili last night and it worked great. I will be using to make some dry mix soups and dinners. Will buy again.

👤I tried it out recently. I mixed a small amount of hot water with a small amount of powder, and the mixture swelled up to 3 times the powder amount. The paste tasted similar to a sauce used on spaghetti. It can be thick or thin, depending on how much water you use. It can be used as a tomato paste on pizzas. I found it on sale on Amazon. I give it 4 out of 5 stars. The star is taken off for a high price.

👤It tastes like Hunt's tomato products, with a very fruity and smokey flavour and a rare richness in powders. I use it to add a little extra flavour to my rice, but I also use it to make a tomato sauce, a spaghetti sauce, and a pizza sauce.

👤I use this more to make tomato sauce andpaste. Sprinkle some over the chicken before baking it and then add a spoon to the chicken soup. The can was slightly damaged on the side of the top but it was still sealed. After opening the can, I added a packet of O2 to each vacuum bag and measured out the amount I keep for daily use in a plastic container and filled vacuum bags with the same amount for future use. It added a really good tomato flavor to the homemade turkey stew I made.

👤This product is great for tomato soup or sauce. Extra flavor is added to home made soups. You can reconstitute it for juice, not my favorite method. I don't keep tomato paste. You can save space by turning this into tomato paste. The tomato powders I have tried have not been as good as this product. It's worth having for storage and use every day.

Brand: Dripdrop

👤I wanted to see what the hype was about, because I see these used by other chronically ill people. Pots syndrome is one of the chronic health issues that I suffer from. I can't seem to stay hydrated. These are a life saver. These are for pots if you have them.

👤Guys don't waste money on this. I work out everyday. I would drink these before I worked out. This didn't do anything for me. Couldn't tell the difference. It's really sweet. Don't waste money or time. It was just sugar water.

👤I worked on loading docks. Most of the time I have a frozen gallon of water sitting behind me on a forklift and it's not cold because of the fast paced work. My military buddy told me about these after I passed out in a trailer. I tried them out for a week at work. I feel like a million bucks again in the heat with just one packet. I'm going to compare this to a gallon of water and the hydration feeling is insane. I'm not saying stop drinking water, but if you need that extra boost before heat exhaustion, it's changed your life at work. I got the entire crew and company to buy them for us.

👤Do not buy. I am ashamed of this product. Sucralose, natural flavor and fructose are synthetic ingredients. There is all in this pouch. I had a knee flare up after drinking a day or two on a hike. These ingredients are to blame. I could have worked on my legs. I am a fit ballerina who does not get swelling. I avoid synthetic ingredients and am ashamed that this company targets military and police. First responders are slowly poisoning themselves. Why do you need to put this junk in the pouch? Sugar should be enough. Look it up, nutrition facts do not lie. Studies show that natural flavor is approved by the FDA.

👤I love the drop. I like the berry flavor the best but decided to try this mix pack. The flavors are great. I don't drink enough water daily, so I wanted extra hydration. These taste great. There is a My husband was tired and had a headaches and said he thought he was dehydrated. I made him one of these and before I finished the glass he said that his headaches were gone. I feel great! Like instantly! What did you give me? He was blown away. These really work.

👤My doctor says that I get leg cramps because of dehydration. I need each bottle/glass of water to count so this product was of great interest. I got a multi-flavor pack to test them all. The berry has a bad taste. I have never been a fan of the lemonade flavor. The fruit punch from the watermelon is my favorite because it tastes like a melon but has no taste after a while. I only drink two water bottles a day. After 16 days, the pain has subsided. Is it because of this product? I am actually drinking more water. I don't drink as much water in the winter. I am giving this to my elderly parents because they don't drink enough water. They love lemonade. It is a change from plain water.

4. Augason Farms Gluten Free Black Burger

Augason Farms Gluten Free Black Burger

The net weight was 4 lbs 0. 97 Z is 84 kilograms. A 25 year shelf life is possible.

Brand: Augason Farms

👤I've eaten Augason Farms products before, and I was excited to try this product. I'm glad I opened the can and tried it now because that would have been a disaster. The burgers are salty because of black bean and salt. They tasted good, but the end result was gastrointestinal distress for me. I will be 92 years old when the use is done in 2044. How many 90 year olds are not on a low/no sodium diet? I will have to throw out the product. The canned black beans are not a problem for me. I don't know if it's the added ingredients that caused me distress. If you are buying freeze dried food, learn from my experience. If you can, buy small cans. It's better to find out if a product doesn't agree with you now rather than during a disaster.

👤The black bean burger is arguably the best I've ever had. The flavor is good without seasoning and has a healthy vegetable component. Is there onions? It's great with typical hamburger ingredients like cheese, onions, and mayonnaise. The suggested serving sizes yield a decent-sized portion, unlike most "emergency" food out there. The best results come from thinner patties. It's very easy to overcook veggie patties, so stick to low / med-low heat in a covered skillet. A light coating of oil helps make a well-formed patty. This is not a perfect replacement for ground beef. It cooks differently, tastes different, and has a different texture when it's done. This isn't great for recipes that call for loose ground beef due to the texture, but it makes outstanding burgers. Try lining a tin cup with this paste, then filling it with an egg, shredded cheese, and chopped veggies for a healthy snack.

👤I wanted to try it out before I needed it, so I bought several cans of this. If you warm it up and let it sit for 15 minutes, it will make a great bean dip. We were snacking on it while it was cooking. It passed the taste-test of some very picky eaters, one of whom said it was delicious, and I had to make seconds and thirds. It has gone up $5 since I ordered it last time. It is still worth it. I will be getting more cans. This product has oats and beans in it. Due to the nature of the ingredients, you might expect gas, bloating and a bit of alone time on the potty depending on how much you consume and your sensitivity.

👤We grow a lot of our own food and have a lot of canned healthy and organic foods at home. Family members of ours are also vegetarian. I like to have a quick vegetarian meal. I have a large pail of Black bean burger in my storage and 10 cans of it. If you mix some rice or beans with me, I will make you less salty. I put our black bean burgers with cheese or jalapenos on top, I have also made them as directed and put mushrooms and gravy on top. The black bean burger is a great value.

Brand: Sustainable Seed Company

👤I don't know what's inside the sealed bag. I don't want to open the bag until I'm ready to use it. They should have given me a list of it's contents.

👤This is so smart. This is wise and safe with everything going on. You can grow your own food.

6. Augason Farms Freeze Sliced Strawberries

Augason Farms Freeze Sliced Strawberries

Clif Bar provides wholesome, delicious energy that is all ready to go, whether you need sustained energy for hiking, climbing, skiing, or a long bike ride. It's perfect for food storage, emergencies, survival, and everyday use. As a snack, ready to eat! A 30 year shelf life is possible.

Brand: Augason Farms

👤The first shipment was a home run and the second was a swing and miss. I received my first can of frozen strawberries from Augason on January 7th and they were perfect. It was very tasty. I served them with whipped cream as a light dessert and used them to enhance cold cereals. In 5 weeks, the entire can was finished. I wanted to serve a bright red and white dessert for my guests at my dinner party. The second can was opened at 5pm on February 13th and found that the sliced strawberries were grayish brown and 70% were stuck together, not something to show to dinner guests.

👤I have bought strawberries in the past and was happy with my purchase. When I opened the can, it was obvious that I didn't get the amount stated. The large can wasn't full to the top, but it was pretty full. The strawberries covered the bottom of the can. I weighed it and it was 1.3 ounces. I am due a refund. The company is not trustworthy. If you are stocking your pantry in case of a catastrophe, I would suggest looking for a different company because you will not have the supplies you think you have.

👤This is my first review of this product, which I have been purchasing for over a year. Why? This latest shipment was disgusting. The strawberries were bright red and evenly sliced in the past, and every can was full. They tasted fresh and crisp. It was sweet and tangy. The can I received was marked March 2019. They didn't have a strawberry smell. I was hesitant to try one, but I did. It was not crisp or light as it should be. It was not good. It's just sour and no strawberry to speak of. I will return it for a full refund. What happened to Auguson? Quality is declining. I will be purchasing my strawberries locally from a reliable retailer that carries an in house brand.

👤My son is having a 16th Bday Party and I ordered this product for him. He wanted dried strawberries. I ordered this even though some people said the can was empty. Most people said they were full. Our can was not filled 1/3 of the time. We took the contents out of the can and weighed them. It had less than 4 ounces. Tomorrow is a party. Not enough time to find another brand.

👤We were excited to get this big can of strawberries, but were disappointed in the quality. You have to spit out at least one bad piece from every handful. There are nubs of stems at the top of strawberries where they did not properly suck the stem from the strawberry. The quality is not there. You can find superior freeze dried strawberries on Amazon for a few cents more per ounce. Unless you don't mind the unique flavor of freeze dried rotten fruit, look elsewhere.

👤These are great, and there is a big can of strawberries. I decided to get the big size to last me a little longer because there are a lot of strawberries. The can is the size of a large coffee can and will require a can opener. I did not have access to a can opener when I bought them. Had to open it with a knife.

7. Augason Farms Dehydrated Potato Slices

Augason Farms Dehydrated Potato Slices

It is certified as being free of gluten. It's perfect for food storage, emergencies, survival, and everyday use. A 25 year shelf life is possible.

Brand: Augason Farms

👤The craziness of the coronaviruses was heating up. Several other items I've bought from Augason Farms have come as advertised. I've tried them 3 times. Rehydrating them per instructions was the first time. When dry, they are about the same thickness of potato chip. They get to about the thickness of the tortilla chip. I used to cook them in a cast iron skillet. When I looked at them, I thought they would be good for potatoes. My second try was potatoes a la Prepper. I used the rehydrated potatoes, sauted some diced onion in butter, and added about 3 ounces of grated cheese to fill the cake pan, which was about 1/3 of the way deep. I baked it at 350 F for 40 minutes after pouring that over the potatoes, adding a scoop of the water I had used to rehydrate them, and sprinkling it on top. I used the hydrated potatoes left over from the third try to make has browns the next morning. None of these were great dishes. All were ok. They should be a nice change from rice or pasta, if I were a better cook. There is a I'm not thrilled about a couple things, one of which is that they are peeled. In a long term emergency, getting all the micro-nutrients we can will be important, so if they could do unpeeled version without sacrificing much in the way of shelf life. If they could be a bit thicker, I would prefer that, since they are too thin to work well in some dishes. I'll be ordering more.

👤Product tastes good. Nice looking potatoes. The price is too high for what it is. I can get the same potatoes in a box for less at the store. You get the mix. They last a long time if vacuum pack them. It might be worth it for survival situations.

👤I used them in a casserole. They turned out great after following the directions on the can. I couldn't tell the difference between these and fresh potatoes. The price seems to be on point. Will definitely order more.

👤I bought this product for emergencies and everyday use. I only have myself to cook for when I'm a senior. I don't cook a lot, so potatoes tend to spoil before I use them. If I buy dried potatoes and other vegetables for emergencies and everyday use, it's cheaper. I don't have to worry about storage or running to the store when I want to pick up fresh veggies because I only have to hydration what I eat. I was able to get rid of my freezer as well, as I never used the foods I had prepared or bought frozen.

👤I can't go out to shop as most of the time it's not possible to find this product that allows for my favorite dishes and fresh potatoes.

👤The product is not usable because the seal was damaged. I would have to pay for a new one. This purchase is a complete loss because the cost to return exceeds the cost of the product.

8. Augason Farms Dehydrated Diced Carrots

Augason Farms Dehydrated Diced Carrots

A 5 year shelf life is possible. All natural and certified to be free of bothGluten-Free and All Natural. It's perfect for food storage, emergencies, survival, and everyday use. A 25 year shelf life is possible.

Brand: Augason Farms

👤I buy emergency foods to have on hand in case of a disaster. They are good for 25 years. When I bought 14 more cans this week, I found that the cans of carrots had red stickers on them. I hoped the stickers would peel off. The big red stickers that don't peel off are stuck over the dates to see when the food was dehydrated and how long it was good for. Did Amazon or Auguson farms do this? If it is necessary to put big red stickers on the cans of food, please put them in a place other than on the bottom of the cans. The dates are important for emergency foods.

👤The diced carrots are very small. This is much smaller than the carrots you would chop up to serve as a vegetable. I like using frozen or fresh carrots. For certain things, the small size can work well. The small size allows for quick rehydration and cooking, and it also helps speed up the dehydration process. I am surprised by the texture and flavor after rehydration or cooking. They are almost as good as fresh carrots if you don't mind the small size. They are useful because there is no need for washing, peeling, chopping or refrigeration. I buy a lot of Auguson farms items to be used as pantry items. They're perfect for long term storage.

👤The package was undamaged. I heard the air release when I opened it. It had no sign of water inside. An old dollar store hand can opener was used to open the can. The product smelled normal and was nearly full. I didn't like them. This is a good amount for money. When reconstituted, it will expand. A small amount goes a long way. I added sira pacs to the jars and sealed them. I will keep an eye out for any condensation in the jars over the next few days to make sure I don't introduce any sort of water into them. There are two jars, a 1/2 gallon and a quart jar. There was not much powder. I didn't like it so I deducted the star. There is nothing wrong with the product.

👤I bought this because I was tired of carrots going bad before I was able to use them. I assumed that the extra price was not going to make me pay more. I liked the taste and smell of these carrots. It tastes like fresh carrots after being rehydrated. It makes up for the cost in my opinion if I have fresh carrots available whenever I need them.

👤The shipping box was undamaged.

👤I wanted to add carrots to our dog's food. She's a lab mix with anal problems. I've tried a lot of different things, but nothing has worked. I've noticed a definite improvement in her eating habits since she added water to her dry food. She has issues a few times a month. It's nothing compared to how bad it used to be. I can't speak for the flavor of these carrots, but they work great for what I bought them for and my dog has no complaints.

9. Augason Farms Dehydrated Chopped Onions

Augason Farms Dehydrated Chopped Onions

A 10 year shelf life is possible. All natural and certified to be free of bothGluten-Free and All Natural. It's perfect for food storage, emergencies, survival, and everyday use. A 25 year shelf life is possible.

Brand: Augason Farms

👤The gross weight of the can is less than the net weight. I checked the weight before opening the onions and peppers I ordered, after reading other reviews. Both cans are very light.

👤This product is convenient, but not great. Pumpkin soup was made last night. Oh, so delicious. I didn't have any onions on hand so I rehydrated them. I found a bit of onion root when I was sauteeing them. There was a piece of the skin. I picked the piece out and went to cook. The soup was pureeed with an immersion blender. Everything was great. I ran into pieces of chopped onion skin as I ate the soup. The size of a pea. On and on. This wasn't fun in a nice creamy soup. This isn't going to be fun in a regular soup or a meatloaf. It pulls you out of the eating experience, while you think about what's in my mouth. I gathered from the onion skin that I found that the onions are not peeled before they are chopped and dehydrated. Quality control on whoever is peeling the onions is not high if they are peeled. You can't re-hydrate onion skin into something that is palatable for people who don't cook. The outer part of the onion is thrown away.

👤I've never eaten onions with the skins in the mix. I don't think I will like it.

👤I use Augason farms all the time, but I was a little disappointed with the onions. I opened the can and the lid fell down. I know there is a certain amount of settlement, but it seems like it's too much. I used a brand that was over 2# in them for a better price. I love your peppers.

👤There are a few larger pieces, but not many. Not enough to use for anything other than onion soup. I thought I would be able to see it in order for me to not return. If it is not part of the deal, I don't expect a refunds. Not very anxious in the beginning. I think this will help the manufacturer. I try to avoid any kind of negative feedback unless absolutely necessary.

👤The onions are dehydrated and must be cooked. They are delicious and hydrating. I have used them in bread making and sauces. I agree with reviewers that the packaging is large. Storage would be easier with smaller packaging. I put the original can away in a less accessible storage area for further refilling because I repackaged a usable amount in a large container. The packaging did not affect the quality of the onions. It's a good buy for people like me who like onion flavor in many cuisines.

👤Augason farms has been in business since 1972 There is a lot of dehydrated food. The metal air tight storage container is handy for long term protection against pests. The contents have a 25 year shelf life. Useful item to keep on hand. Good value.

👤Good taste. Can is less than half full when opened. I thought it was a good deal.

10. Augason Farms Brown Sugar Lbs

Augason Farms Brown Sugar Lbs

The age range describes all life stages. All natural and certified to be free of bothGluten-Free and All Natural. It's perfect for food storage, emergencies, survival, and everyday use. A 30 year shelf life is possible.

Brand: Augason Farms

👤The oxygen absorber in the can made me give this a 4 instead of a 5. I realize that removing oxygen is important when storing food. If you use oxygen absorbers, the sugar will get really hard. This will be the case with brown sugar. You can hear the clumps when you take it out of the box. There are many articles on how to package different foods. I know of only one dry good, sugar, and it's not supposed to use oxygen absorbers. If it extends the shelf life for awhile longer, I understand, but LDS said that putting oxygen absorbers in Brown sugar can cause botulism. I'm not sure if using them with sugar is recommended. It wasn't that it can grow the anaerobicbacteria, but that was the consensus after doing more research. botulism can grow without oxygen because brown sugar has molasses in it. I'm concerned and I would really appreciate an answer from Augason Farms. Maybe they test the contents of the package. I think experts on long term food storage would know, but I have read 15 articles that say to never store it this way. What thoughts are there?

👤I love having a few of these on hand. When they are on sale, I usually buy them at a time of 2 or 3. I keep at least 4 large cans in my inventory because I always run out of a recipe or I forget to pick up brown sugar at the store. The sugar is soft when I open the can. I spoon the brown sugar into jars and add oxygen absorbers to avoid the hard sugar problem. It's easier to store in my actual pantry. The shelf life is also extended. The shelf-life is about a year after opening. Is it expensive? This is emergency stock. If I forget to pick up something at the store, I use/rotate my stock.

👤There is sugar in a can. The bugs are kept out. It helps to keep it for later. I would have a sweeter drink if I had it against hard times. I wanted to make sure I had food on hand in case, so I have been through rough times. It feels pretty full. I haven't opened the can. I'll be glad I have it when I need to. I use it to make a version of sweet-n-sour sauce, bbq sauce, in cookies, brownies, molasses cookies, gingerbread, and even to sweeten tea if there's nothing else to use. I make a version of brown bread with it. I have it to keep on hand.

👤I have bought other food from this company, mostly breads, but I have not opened this one yet, because I ordered 4 different cans at the same price, but I am not sure if I will open it. The can is seal. You have to open it. Good tasting foods are made from augason farms.

👤I do a lot of baking during the holidays and this came in handy. It worked perfectly for me and was fresh. I will be purchasing again as part of my disaster pantry supplies.

11. Augason Farms Vegetable Stew Blend

Augason Farms Vegetable Stew Blend

Non-GMO project verification: PROBAR products are non-GMO. It's perfect for food storage, emergencies, survival, and everyday use. It is certified as being free of the harmful effects of the gluten-free diet. A 25 year shelf life is possible.

Brand: Augason Farms

👤This is a kind of gruel that makes you feel better after eating it. The flavor is ok. The guy at Augason farms was a jerk. I told him that they make good products. This is not one of them.

👤To test. The dried veg took 4 cups of water. It was brought to boil with a bit of bullion and then covered with it. Great taste. The texture of the vegetable was satisfying. It was bought to supplement backpacking meals. Will be buying again.

👤I've been slowly buying from this company, one product every couple of weeks, to carefully become used to preparing meals from a hydrated base, and the results are indescribably amazing. I have 8 different products that taste great, and every dish can be prepared in less than an hour. A max time of 10 minutes to finalize the cooking and a 10 minute soak in water or milk to bring dried food back into its original soft consistency. From stove to table is an amazing experience in food preparation. The shelf life for any variety after opening real containers is 10 years. It's not necessary to keep it refrigerated or freeze to keep. The costs for any of these products are not more than buying fresh, and with several products, the cost is less than fresh. The greatest benefit of being able to buy any and all of these products is that you don't have to stand in line at the checkout. If there is a way to improve daily life in the 21st century by increasing people's time to relax and enjoy things, these products are the way to go.

👤This stuff is not good. The vegetables in the pictures are not chunks of vegetables. There is a powder of material. It might be dried paint dust. So disappointed and disgusted.

👤I bought this for convenience and it is great. High quality vegetables. It's hard to match the convenience of just adding a cup of pre-cut veggies to a stew.

👤I wanted to try this out before adding more cans. A bit of meat can be turned into a meal. I tried the vegetables with just soup and it was very good. Adding lots of vegetables into the emergency/survival ration is highly recommended. It's a great way to make your own freeze dry packets.

👤I bought a can of this to try and like it. I made a cup of this with canned chicken. It was very tasty. I make up all kinds of recipes, and my latest one is "soup 13". Here it is. 2 cups Auguson Farms vegetable stew. Two cans cut green beans. If you like tomato sauce, you can get 1 can. If you want a little zing, you can diced tomatos from Kroger. I like these more than fresh onions. I'll think you'll like it if you try it. I bought 6 more cans of vegetable stew because I like it so much.

👤We all need to stock up on any brand of food that has a long shelf life. I've tried Augason Farms food along with several others and they are just as good, if not better, than the others, they taste good, have a long shelf life, and a good verity, and they are cheaper than the others.
