You can use the bag to snack out of. A quart in a jar is a great source of vitamins and minerals. They have other great products such as dried veggies, freeze dried fruits and veggies, and true dehydrated beans.
👤I use these to make intersting meals.
👤These were not worth anything. They were like dust when they arrived. I thought they would be like dried potatoes. Don't know what to use them for. Maybe a liquid. Will not buy again.
👤This package is a good deal when buying food items for long term storage or emergency needs. It doesn't take up a lot of space and is convenient to use. It's nice to have a package that's large when you don't need a lot of food.
👤These are great to have on hand for soups and cut in the right size pieces.
👤I don't like the freeze dried potato product. It is kind of bland and slimy.
👤These potatoes are not good for soups or other food. They are expensive and don't taste very good. Certainly not potatoes. It would serve a purpose if you bought them as an easy to store emergency food or backpacking food.
👤I'm confused. The picture on the front of the product shows it has 8 ounces Net Wt. There is only 5 ounces of Net Wt in the product I received. The nutrition label on the product I received says a serving is 1oz and there are 8 serving per container. I'm not a genius, but how can a container hold 8 ounces of food? They may have made smaller containers and forgot to change the serving per container on the nutrition label. All of the products from this company have the same discrepancy. I like this product, but I don't like the company.
👤I was going to make a cream of potato soup. They had very little taste in the soup. I still gave them 3 stars because they can work well in a pinch, like in a more watery soup, or in a hurry to cook a meal that requires potatoes. I discovered the beauty of the kitchenaid food processor attachment for these dishes.
A 25 year shelf life is possible. It's perfect for everyday use and emergencies. The shelf life can be up to 10 years.
👤I don't want my kids to look at me and say "Dad, why weren't you prepared for US, what are we going to do for food to survive?" As much money as we throw away, comes on. This is an insurance policy. You should put up plenty just in case, but you hope to not need it.
👤The shelf life on the label is up to ten years. That's great, but when was it packed? We have no way of knowing because products like this can sit in warehouses for a long time. That's bad news for the crowd. We usually buy this type of stock food without intending to eat it. In the event of a true emergency, how could I be certain that the product is safe to eat? If someone will tell me about this, I will change the review. I left a message for customer service.
👤I make meals in jars. You can use this as a base, add some sour cream powder, freeze dried potato, sausage, green onions, cheddar cheese sauce, and/or freeze dried cheddar cheese, and you have a copy cat version of Black Angus' Baked Potato. It was great! Carbohydrate lovers are happy! Second review. I decided to make some clam chowDah. I thought about this and decided to give it a try. It was great! clams, milk, water Wow. I like Augason Farms soups. All of them! They can be used as a base.
👤The soup mix makes the greatest chowder. Adding the clam or oyster liquids and a cup of light or heavy cream to the dish, along with the fish stock, chopped onion and a bit of garlic, gives the dish that special sea food flavor and one cup of light or heavy cream instead of 1 cup water, puts the finishing touch
👤This soup is thick and creamy, but you are free to make it your own. Add sliced mushrooms, green onions, diced chicken or cheese. You can top it with bacon bits, sour cream or cheese. You can make a delicious clam chowder. Your imagination is not enough. A few pennies per serving. I keep my stuff in the pantry. I put dehydrated potatoes on a pan with a sprinkle of Potato soup powder. Add hot milk and butter. For 20 minutes, bake at 350. The best potatoes ever.
👤Half onions/powder is what there is. The onions stick in your teeth because they don't cook properly. I took the onions from the power and put a half can of power in them. The flavor is ok but not like potato soup. Would I eat this during an emergency or during a zombie apocalypse? I would throw onions at the zombies. During an emergency? Highly doubt it. If I was starving to death? If the onions were taken out.
👤The company decided to send it with an in-person signature. They tried to deliver it to our washing room in back, but never came to our front door, and left a note on the washroom saying they were at the wrong place. I don't own a car. I don't mail order stuff in order to find a way to pick it up myself. I will be trying to get my money back for non-delivery for the first time. Augason suddenly decided they needed a signature from a repeat customer. Had this for the first time today. I didn't change it much from the can into the boiling water, but I did add some pepper and basil. I got a feel for how it tastes, just following the directions. It's too thick, so I used a little more water than I needed. The soup needs a bit of help to be an ideal soup, so in the future I'm probably going to use a vegetable broth instead of plain water, and more of it, as it needs a bit more help to be an ideal soup. I could feel it sticking to the bottom of the pot after I stirred it all the time. It's another effect of being too thick and needing more water added than the instructions say. I don't know if I'll re-order it often to always have at hand, I'll better know that it's not as good as Bear Creek instant potato soups, after I've used up this can.
You won't find tougher mylar emergency blankets anywhere. It is guaranteed. They help protect the wild places they love by donating a percentage of their sales. There are 26,440 calories in the total. 2,203 calories per day. There are Pouches with Food Varieties. A 20 year shelf life is possible.
👤I was worried about buying this for our emergency supplies kit because of the reviews about the packages. When I opened mine for inspection, there was no expiration date and no rips. If you're in an emergency situation that requires using this bucket, I think you can't be too picky. I bought a bunch of emergency water pouches, Coghlan's emergency stove, and the Odoland 22 piece camping kit. This seems to be the most cost-effective way to go about emergency food and water for a family of 4.
👤Good price for tuff package. The package was over a year old. The hurricanes are getting worse and worse in the south, so we bought this. It appears that weather is breaking records all over the world. Its only going to get worse.
👤It was the first time that I got from Augason farms. One of the bags had potatoes in it. Hopefully this isn't a common occurrence if I decide to order again.
👤The bags were broken open. The rest were fine. This problem has been mentioned in many other reviews. There is no meat in any of these items. It's a shame. It's good to have a source of sustenance. Lots of processed carbs leave you bloated and hungry an hour later. Not a good combo in an emergency. I have bought many other Auguson Farms products and like them a lot. This is the first emergency food I've eaten from them. The flavors are good, except for the fake milk. I am disappointed in this product, but it could be fixed easily with better packaging, real cows, and meat.
👤The container is tightly sealed. I hope I can open it during an emergency. It's funny. This product has a very tight seal. I wouldn't doubt the product'ssustainability. I hope I don't have to but if I do I will be happy that I chose a company that took the extra effort to seal it properly. Thank you.
👤I hope I never need to use it.
👤Haven't had a chance to taste it yet. I plan on using them for camping or if needed due to power failures. It makes me feel better.
👤I like the compactness of the meals in one container, in case we need to grab and get out.
👤I opened the bucket to add more items. I'm not happy to see that the packages are not sucked in. It contains no meat or bean dishes, so be aware. Chicken flavors and rendered chicken fat are in 2 of the varieties. There was no fruit. There is nothing in the ingredient list for the oatmeal pic. Not a balanced diet is definitely not. I guess if I'm hungry this will help. The second picture shows how a package looks when I package my own food.
👤The contents are described. Prime shipping is very fast. I haven't tried any of the packs inside, but I think they will be good. There is a bit of extra space inside the air-tight pail.
Good To-Go meals are made in Kittery, Maine. You can enjoy this food for 25 years from now. Any food storage program has a back bone. It's good to eat now and it's good enough to store for a long time. There are no high fructose corn syrup, soy, or any of the other ingredients. Black bean soup, sweet habanero chili with pineapple, rice pilaf, classic chili, and oatmeal with brown sugar are some of the dishes. Black bean soup, sweet habanero chili with pineapple, rice pilaf, classic chili, and oatmeal with brown sugar are some of the dishes.
👤I got 2 after I sent this back. There are only 8 serving per pouch which doesn't do me much good. There isn't much food for 500. I can buy a huge amount of canned goods for that price.
👤I tried about 6 or 7 different MRE's and this is the one I will be buying from now on.
👤This is a great product. In case of an emergency, they put all the great kinds of food together.
👤Once it is received, I would suggest opening the bucket. To make opening easier, not much is checked. Have not tried anything yet. I know I should.
👤The company is great. There was a small hole in it. I sent them the pictures I took. Replacements are sent to me. Would use this company again. Comes in a bin.
👤A lightweight food source.

👤I'm concerned because there is no seal, just a screw top white lid. I've never bought anything food wise that didn't have an extra layer of protection, and there's no way to tell if the product has been tampered with. If this is how the product was supposed to be, I will not buy anything else made by Mother Earth Products again.
👤Never bought again. The label says it can cause cancer and reproductive harm.
👤I upgraded my ramen. Simple: use a little more water than usual and toss a few dried veggies in the water. Reduce heat to a slow boil for 6 minutes. You don't have to stir as the veggies are boiling. Follow the ramen package directions if you add your noodles. If you're watching your salt intake use less ramen seasoning. You can control how much veggie is in your soup, and these dried veggies will blossom into tender, fragrant, tasty vegetables.
👤I like the size and price of the soup mix. The flavor is what tops this. You can use it in any dish, I use it in soups. Add it to mashed potatoes, cook it with vegetables, use it with retried beans, and put it on corn on the cob. The kids like the flavor. I use this with seasonings while cooking. Put some in the blender and blend until it is a powder, then sprinkle it over a salad or popcorn. Pop some in your mouth for a snack. It can be used in omelets or hash browns. I haven't tried a pancake that's a bit different.
👤I like a quick cup of soup with veggies. Mother Earth delivers. The veggies aroma was very strong when I opened the jar. All veggies have a good balance. Next best thing to fresh istiful color, aroma, and flavor. The price should be a little lower. It's perfect to add to meat loaves, stew, soups and so on. I took a picture of my soup. It was great.
👤This has been good so far. Adding it to soup and noodles is one of the uses I find for it. When I don't want to cook and feel lazy, I cook some raw rice in a rice cooker with chopped up Chinese bacon. After the rice is mostly cooked, I add more water and a salted duck egg. It only takes about 20 minutes to cook, and you don't have to stand over a hot stove or monitor it. That is just one idea. I don't have to buy fresh veggies for these dishes, and it's also great for camping.
👤I just brought 2 cups of water to a boil and added a cube of bullion and a cup of soup mix. It was cooked for about 15-20 minutes. The vegetarian soup is delicious and only has a small amount of sodium. It's a great alternative if you've been late in grocery shopping. The NON-GMO quality is very important.
👤I don't know when or how the product was changed, but the version I got had instructions for mixing a cup of water and boiling it for 30 minutes. The veggies were cooked in a way my wife likes them to be, but not really. After 30 minutes, they were very soft. Some people would call a stew with clearly identifiable veggies a stew. This is an hour boil without hard grain. They are vegetables. Add onion soup or beef and potato to your diet if you want something that will pass for healthy. The mix is not listed in the description.
We have other great products such as dried veggies, freeze dried fruits and veggies, and true dehydrated beans. The total calories are 18, 880. 80 calories per serving. The net weight was 12 lbs. The shelf life is up to 25 years.
👤There is more to say about Augason farms. Good quality big price tag, hope we never have to eat it.
👤I was going to put it back and use it later, but seeing how the bucket broke open and some of the contents spilled out, I thought we should try it. One of the previous reviews was correct. We added some seasonings for a quick taste. If you cook in chicken or beef soup, and add some meat and seasoning, it will get you by in a pinch, but not as satisfying as having actual, maybe one inch pieces of the different veggies.
👤I use this product all the time in my regular cooking and it tastes really good, it's intended for long term food storage but I use it all the time in my regular cooking.
👤This tub of veggies is a great value. Thanks to Amazon and Augason farms, we can all enjoy these high quality products.
👤Saving for an emergency! A friend says they are good.
👤I bought this because Augusta farms puts out a lot of good food for storage or emergencies, and I'd have some vegetables and a waterproof container if a disaster happened in Texas. I have a big container of vegetables.
👤Augason farms products are always good. We put the veggies in one cup bags. There are 54 cups in each pail. Equals to 4 cups. Good value.
Money back guarantee. They want to keep each customer happy. If you are not satisfied, they will give you a full refund. It is certified as being free of gluten. It's perfect for everyday use and emergencies. shelf life can be up to 30 years.
👤I ordered a lot of rice. The lid fell off on 3 of the buckets. The bucket wouldn't reseal if the lids were pushed back on. This product will not last long if it is not sealed. I will not return due to the product's weight, but I will not buy again.
👤The supplier should have read the reviews and put one turn of tape around the edge of the container which opens. I have to throw this rice away since there are other particles, so I will just get a local container. The money was wasted.
👤The buckets were ordered and the seals were broken. I am coming back anyways because I couldn't tell on the 4th one. Do not trust them.
👤The seal was broken. Will have to be able to store the product for the purpose of buying it.
👤I am satisfied with the packaging. I can't go without free shipping. It's still a good value. The advertising needs to be straight. This is 24 lbs, not 28. 231 serves per container, not 270. 39k calories per container is not 49k. These advertising inacuracies are more serious. I would buy again.
👤It's perfect for our zombie apocalypse kit. We are saving it in case of an emergency. The bucket size is easy to stack in a closet with other emergency kit items. It has a shelf life of 30 years. I hope we don't have to eat it. I'll come back in 29 years to see if it's still good. It's a good thing.
👤I do have a great idea and your consumers would agree, but how would you know if someone was buying this at a high price? I don't want to waste money, I'll send an updated review if we need it. I hope it's healthy. Or something similar.
Hoosier Hill Farm is located in northeast Indiana. They are proud of their heritage and good old fashioned values, and their products and ingredients are guaranteed fresh. Makes 2.5 gallons. It is certified as being free of thegluten A 20 year shelf life is possible.
👤Auguson Farms has nonfat powdered instant milk. Class C took the longest of all products, taking roughly 150 spoon-stirs. The product left "legs" on the side of the glass even then. It should not be mixed with hot water as it will clump and separate. The flavor is sour and bitter. I found it unpleasant, but one of my friends thought it was ok. Not recommended. In the photo is Emergency Essentials, Auguson Farms and Country Fresh. MilkMan Results of my powdered milk taste test comparison, how I tested, and a side by side comparison with myself and a couple friends of some different powdered milks The same amount of milk powder was mixed into the same amount of water. The samples were stirred until they dissolved. I didn't use hot water because some products don't fit in it. My intention is to use milk powder per serving, so products were allowed to rest only a minute before sampling. They were compared with actual non-fat milk. The goal of this test was to reveal comparative defects, and in general all products will taste better when allowed to rest overnight and fully chilled. I've tried: Augason farms, Country Cream, Country Fresh, Emergency Essentials, MilkMan, and Organic Valley. They are classified into three categories: A. emergency essentials, A. emergency essentials and A. emergency essentials. This tastes like real milk. It has a slightly sour, burnt taste when mixed into hot water, tea, or coffee, but it does mix easily into hot water, and it is enjoyable. This is the best powdered milk. B. MilkMan. Although it is the best low-fat powdered milk product, it has a slightly off-putting "protein" flavor. You know what I mean. It mixes easily into water. It is expensive as well. The slightly richer body was not worth the money. Everything else. All other products are bad, including sour, bilious flavors, clumping, foaming, and inability to mix directly with hot water. The flavor of Organic Valley is Class B, but its preparation, clumping, and cost put it in Class C. It is a good review, but it is out of date since there have been some company mergers and name changes.
👤I don't want to open this powdered milk store unless there is an end of the world scenario, mad cow disease kills off the bovine population and milk becomes a trade-able commodity.
👤I was surprised by the quality of this milk. It tastes better than I anticipated and has a creamy texture. You have to mix it right to make it behave in hot liquids. For my first cup of coffee, I put a small scoop of powdered milk in a mug and poured hot coffee over the top. It was a big mistake. I had a sludgy mess that didn't taste very good after the milk was separated. For my second cup, I put the milk powder in the mug, added a splash of room-temperature water, and mixed until the milk dissolved. The milk blended like a dream when I poured my coffee. The taste and texture of the first and second cups were completely different. Pre-blend this milk in room-temperature water and it will act the way you want it to. Will buy again when I use this up. I'd be happy if Augason farms made a powdered nut or coconut milk.

👤Half of my emergency food comes from Amazon. One can of rice in the order was fine, the other had large dents in it, which is problematic for 25 years in disaster planning. This happened on 6 orders. You have to decide if it's worth the trouble or if you have a local option.
👤It's worth the money to fix. My children gave it a thumbs up.
👤I got these when they were on sale. They're pretty good. I keep them in the pantry in case of a disaster.
👤Will throw any bird game you can at it. I got a prep shelf. Will order more.
👤I have a lot of Augason cans in my food cache. They are on the rack with an inventory sheet taped to it. I have an inventory of food for 35 years. Augason is the food I prepare for a long time.
👤It is not a 5 star restaurant dish and has a shelf life you can't compare if left sealed.
👤My wife tried it and loved it, it was very easy to make.
It pairs perfectly with veggies, chicken, and steak. Add water. Ready in 20 minutes. It's perfect for everyday use and emergencies. The shelf life is up to 25 years.
👤Get some of the other ones as well. If you ever need to eat emergency food, you'll be happy with the variety. People like me will not feed you if you get some.
👤This is out. T is for T, A is for A, and N is for N. D is for deficiency. I'm not sure. The stuff... Wow, wow... This has a wonderful taste. If you add smoke to it, it just makes it more powerful. It is very easy to make directions on the label. A good food can not say enough about how easy it is to make a very delicious dish. The only thing I have to worry about is the company that shipped it. Is it in the vicinity of the toilet? It would have been a nightmare to fix what they did, if my #10 had not been in that box. Oh yeah... It's a good thing.
👤Add what ever after you re-hydrate with 50% Chicken Stock.
👤It's not so bad. Looks different than the picture.
👤The product is very good and cooks quickly. Those that should reduce their salt intake are the only down side. This is very salty.
👤This is ok. It's great for freeze dried. It is priced right. I found that using my own spices made it better, more suited to my taate.
👤I can divide into small meals. I still have 1/2 a can to go after ordering it months ago.
👤Will give a new review when used.

👤I bought the same brand of potatoes and there was a sticker on it, but this fruit from the same brand didn't have a sticker on it, there was no date on the container. You can buy a different brand from a different seller.
