1. Augason Farms Fettuccine Alfredo Super

Augason Farms Fettuccine Alfredo Super

It's simple and easy to cook Iberia Rice & Black beans. There are four individually sealed food pouches. 4 Servings per pouch and 16 total serving 1,200 calories per pouch You can only prepare what you need when you need it. A 25 year shelf life is possible.

Brand: Augason Farms

👤I hope a disaster doesn't require me to use it. It seems that nut jobs are destroying us all.

👤Family likes this. It has a salty taste so if you like it, get this. It's easy to ignore even if you don't. You can serve it a few times in a week if you make it easy to prepare. We solve two challenges at the same time because we incorporate some of our leftover side dishes. We like to add TVP, it blends nicely and gives some added bulk.

👤I tried it and it tasted good.

👤The packaging is great and the taste is ok. It tastes nothing like Alfredo. Would not buy again.

👤I added fresh herbs and chicken and it tasted great. I have purchased everything on the auguson farms menu, but have yet to receive a dented can.

2. Augason Farms Freeze Dried Peas

Augason Farms Freeze Dried Peas

A shelf life of up to 4 years. All natural and certified to be free of bothGluten-Free and All Natural. It's perfect for food storage, emergencies, survival, and everyday use. A 30 year shelf life is possible.

Brand: Augason Farms

👤I can freeze peas, but I can't dry them. The taste is so good that it's right out of the can. They are usually thrown in ramen soup. They have been used in stew. I could buy a smaller can, but the price is too high. I use them over a year because they don't get destroyed by high humidity. They retain their color, flavor and texture. This is my third purchase of this product.

👤Mountain House is our favorite for prepared meals, but for individual ingredients, we prefer AF. Good quality items, no TVP. They don't use tons of salt or citric acid to fake flavor because they don't want to offend anyone. Sometimes there will be a slight difference in taste and texture. It's the same for freeze dried or normal frozen. It's what happens. It's the cleanest, purest stuff you're going to get with 25 years of shelf life. Don't forget to use the Amazon.com address. It's an Amazon program where if you buy many everyday things from Amazon, they will make a small donation to the charity of your choice. Here is the information: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/chpf/about/

👤The can was only half full. I normally like this brand, but they can't say that over half the can was empty due tosettling. Peas are not like that. I weighed them and found that half the weight and volume was advertised. Be alert.

👤I wanted to like them. I put a cup of them in the water. They didn't get hydrated. There is a bit of a squishy goo inside. I tried the hot water. Half of the food would not stay hydrated. They smell great and taste great. I can add water to peas and they will rehydrate. They are great to cook in soups. I wanted peas to be rehydrated with hot or cold water. If you plan to cook soups or pot roast in boiling water, they should be okay.

👤I have been backpacking for more than 40 years. freeze dried peas were included in almost every one of those trips. These are the first ones that refused to drink water. I cold soaked them. I put them in an insulated container. They were boiled. I tried to cook them. I could only get about 50% to a normal texture. The rest were downright nasty. I picked up freeze dried corn at the same time. Maybe I got a lot of peas. This is more common than I want to deal with according to other reviews. I'll pass on the frozen corn from Augason Farm.

👤I've been buying freeze-dried peas for a long time and they don't taste like peas at all. They are completely tasteless even reconstituted. Don't spend your money on them. The entire can will be thrown in the trash. Oh, ugh.

👤You will eat so much if you make the best mashed Potato's white Gravy. There is a While others fight each other at Walmart, you thought about the future.

👤The sweet pea can be used in a soup or stew. I was very impressed with the product. Airy pea can't tell you the difference between fresh canned or dehydrated. The pea was wonderful.

3. Augason Farms Country Instant Nonfat

Augason Farms Country Instant Nonfat

Hoosier Hill Farm is located in northeast Indiana. They are proud of their heritage and good old fashioned values, and their products and ingredients are guaranteed fresh. Makes 2.5 gallons. It is certified as being free of thegluten A 20 year shelf life is possible.

Brand: Augason Farms

👤Auguson Farms has nonfat powdered instant milk. Class C took the longest of all products, taking roughly 150 spoon-stirs. The product left "legs" on the side of the glass even then. It should not be mixed with hot water as it will clump and separate. The flavor is sour and bitter. I found it unpleasant, but one of my friends thought it was ok. Not recommended. In the photo is Emergency Essentials, Auguson Farms and Country Fresh. MilkMan Results of my powdered milk taste test comparison, how I tested, and a side by side comparison with myself and a couple friends of some different powdered milks The same amount of milk powder was mixed into the same amount of water. The samples were stirred until they dissolved. I didn't use hot water because some products don't fit in it. My intention is to use milk powder per serving, so products were allowed to rest only a minute before sampling. They were compared with actual non-fat milk. The goal of this test was to reveal comparative defects, and in general all products will taste better when allowed to rest overnight and fully chilled. I've tried: Augason farms, Country Cream, Country Fresh, Emergency Essentials, MilkMan, and Organic Valley. They are classified into three categories: A. emergency essentials, A. emergency essentials and A. emergency essentials. This tastes like real milk. It has a slightly sour, burnt taste when mixed into hot water, tea, or coffee, but it does mix easily into hot water, and it is enjoyable. This is the best powdered milk. B. MilkMan. Although it is the best low-fat powdered milk product, it has a slightly off-putting "protein" flavor. You know what I mean. It mixes easily into water. It is expensive as well. The slightly richer body was not worth the money. Everything else. All other products are bad, including sour, bilious flavors, clumping, foaming, and inability to mix directly with hot water. The flavor of Organic Valley is Class B, but its preparation, clumping, and cost put it in Class C. It is a good review, but it is out of date since there have been some company mergers and name changes.

👤I don't want to open this powdered milk store unless there is an end of the world scenario, mad cow disease kills off the bovine population and milk becomes a trade-able commodity.

👤I was surprised by the quality of this milk. It tastes better than I anticipated and has a creamy texture. You have to mix it right to make it behave in hot liquids. For my first cup of coffee, I put a small scoop of powdered milk in a mug and poured hot coffee over the top. It was a big mistake. I had a sludgy mess that didn't taste very good after the milk was separated. For my second cup, I put the milk powder in the mug, added a splash of room-temperature water, and mixed until the milk dissolved. The milk blended like a dream when I poured my coffee. The taste and texture of the first and second cups were completely different. Pre-blend this milk in room-temperature water and it will act the way you want it to. Will buy again when I use this up. I'd be happy if Augason farms made a powdered nut or coconut milk.

4. Augason Farms Dehydrated Potato Slices

Augason Farms Dehydrated Potato Slices

It is certified as being free of gluten. It's perfect for food storage, emergencies, survival, and everyday use. A 25 year shelf life is possible.

Brand: Augason Farms

👤The craziness of the coronaviruses was heating up. Several other items I've bought from Augason Farms have come as advertised. I've tried them 3 times. Rehydrating them per instructions was the first time. When dry, they are about the same thickness of potato chip. They get to about the thickness of the tortilla chip. I used to cook them in a cast iron skillet. When I looked at them, I thought they would be good for potatoes. My second try was potatoes a la Prepper. I used the rehydrated potatoes, sauted some diced onion in butter, and added about 3 ounces of grated cheese to fill the cake pan, which was about 1/3 of the way deep. I baked it at 350 F for 40 minutes after pouring that over the potatoes, adding a scoop of the water I had used to rehydrate them, and sprinkling it on top. I used the hydrated potatoes left over from the third try to make has browns the next morning. None of these were great dishes. All were ok. They should be a nice change from rice or pasta, if I were a better cook. There is a I'm not thrilled about a couple things, one of which is that they are peeled. In a long term emergency, getting all the micro-nutrients we can will be important, so if they could do unpeeled version without sacrificing much in the way of shelf life. If they could be a bit thicker, I would prefer that, since they are too thin to work well in some dishes. I'll be ordering more.

👤Product tastes good. Nice looking potatoes. The price is too high for what it is. I can get the same potatoes in a box for less at the store. You get the mix. They last a long time if vacuum pack them. It might be worth it for survival situations.

👤I used them in a casserole. They turned out great after following the directions on the can. I couldn't tell the difference between these and fresh potatoes. The price seems to be on point. Will definitely order more.

👤I bought this product for emergencies and everyday use. I only have myself to cook for when I'm a senior. I don't cook a lot, so potatoes tend to spoil before I use them. If I buy dried potatoes and other vegetables for emergencies and everyday use, it's cheaper. I don't have to worry about storage or running to the store when I want to pick up fresh veggies because I only have to hydration what I eat. I was able to get rid of my freezer as well, as I never used the foods I had prepared or bought frozen.

👤I can't go out to shop as most of the time it's not possible to find this product that allows for my favorite dishes and fresh potatoes.

👤The product is not usable because the seal was damaged. I would have to pay for a new one. This purchase is a complete loss because the cost to return exceeds the cost of the product.

5. Augason Farms Dehydrated Diced Carrots

Augason Farms Dehydrated Diced Carrots

A 5 year shelf life is possible. All natural and certified to be free of bothGluten-Free and All Natural. It's perfect for food storage, emergencies, survival, and everyday use. A 25 year shelf life is possible.

Brand: Augason Farms

👤I buy emergency foods to have on hand in case of a disaster. They are good for 25 years. When I bought 14 more cans this week, I found that the cans of carrots had red stickers on them. I hoped the stickers would peel off. The big red stickers that don't peel off are stuck over the dates to see when the food was dehydrated and how long it was good for. Did Amazon or Auguson farms do this? If it is necessary to put big red stickers on the cans of food, please put them in a place other than on the bottom of the cans. The dates are important for emergency foods.

👤The diced carrots are very small. This is much smaller than the carrots you would chop up to serve as a vegetable. I like using frozen or fresh carrots. For certain things, the small size can work well. The small size allows for quick rehydration and cooking, and it also helps speed up the dehydration process. I am surprised by the texture and flavor after rehydration or cooking. They are almost as good as fresh carrots if you don't mind the small size. They are useful because there is no need for washing, peeling, chopping or refrigeration. I buy a lot of Auguson farms items to be used as pantry items. They're perfect for long term storage.

👤The package was undamaged. I heard the air release when I opened it. It had no sign of water inside. An old dollar store hand can opener was used to open the can. The product smelled normal and was nearly full. I didn't like them. This is a good amount for money. When reconstituted, it will expand. A small amount goes a long way. I added sira pacs to the jars and sealed them. I will keep an eye out for any condensation in the jars over the next few days to make sure I don't introduce any sort of water into them. There are two jars, a 1/2 gallon and a quart jar. There was not much powder. I didn't like it so I deducted the star. There is nothing wrong with the product.

👤I bought this because I was tired of carrots going bad before I was able to use them. I assumed that the extra price was not going to make me pay more. I liked the taste and smell of these carrots. It tastes like fresh carrots after being rehydrated. It makes up for the cost in my opinion if I have fresh carrots available whenever I need them.

👤The shipping box was undamaged.

👤I wanted to add carrots to our dog's food. She's a lab mix with anal problems. I've tried a lot of different things, but nothing has worked. I've noticed a definite improvement in her eating habits since she added water to her dry food. She has issues a few times a month. It's nothing compared to how bad it used to be. I can't speak for the flavor of these carrots, but they work great for what I bought them for and my dog has no complaints.

6. Mayday Replacement Preparedness Earthquake Leak Proof

Mayday Replacement Preparedness Earthquake Leak Proof

A high energy value and ready to eat. The U.S. Coast Guard was approved. The U.S. Coast guard and Canadian transport department rely on Ready America's emergency food ration bars with a long shelf life so you can be confident that you're getting the real deal. The Apple Cinnamon Flavour: APPLE CINNAMON. Provides needed nutrition while enjoying the food. The bar has a delicious apple cinnamon flavor. 20 food bar ration for the whole family.

Brand: Mayday

👤The texture and flavor are okay. When compared to other types of emergency food, it's not going to win any awards. It's durable and not terrible. If you catch it when it's down, it's still ok because the price is higher than it used to be. The bars were already a year old when I opened the package. Only four years left. Losing a year right from the start is not good, I don't know about other people, but even 5 years flies by. This was a direct purchase and shipment from Amazon, not a 3rd party seller. I'm also going to go to all the time and trouble to return the items. I would like to have these on hand as well. I don't think I'll buy more food products from Amazon because this brand is hard to find elsewhere. The case of 1200 cal Bars arrived in their original case with no packing or outside shipping container. It's hard to tell how many bars have been damaged. The bars are 6 months past their manufactured date, so they lost some time, but they are better than the 2400 cal Bars. I tried some bars with damaged wrapping and was hopeful that the bars were not sitting in the warehouse for 6 months with broken wrapping. The bars tasted like a dry, crumbly sugar cookie that smelled and tasted like apple cinnamon. Not great taste but not bad either. The 1200 call Bars are easier to eat than the 2400 call Bars. The 1200's are very thin. The 1200 cal Bars are more expensive than all but the cal 400 Bars. When the damaged items and lost storage time are taken into account, it's even more so.

👤The packs of bars were purchased at a cost of $120. The value per calories is really good. I've seen emergency food bars that are 3x the price on Amazon. A decent deal. Only one of the 40 items was fully sealed. Not bad considering the reviews I've read of other brands. I don't trust that product to be safe to eat in the long term because I didn't receive undamaged product. Oh well. The taste is like a dense pound cake with a little lemon flavor. I'm sure it would get tiring fast. The brick of food is hard to eat, but once you snap it is easy to eat. The brick of food is huge. It could be useful to divide portions into emergency car or hiking snacks. The package says that it is not thirst provoking, and that you will not be in for a fun time if you don't drink water with it. I recommend drinking water with it.

👤I'm very sad. The bars I received were already one year old, so they will not last 5 years. I will find them fresh when I return them.

👤Solid, good taste. It's great with coffee. If I had to, I could live off of these.

👤The shelf life is 5 years. They only have 4 years left for life after I received these bars. The product is good and I got it fast. Thank you!

7. Bear Essentials Survival Perishable Alternative

Bear Essentials Survival Perishable Alternative

A high energy value and ready to eat. Their survival supplies kit contains enough emergency food to last an adult 15 days, consuming 2,000 calories of emergency food per day, and a 20lb non-perishable food pack. Each pack of emergency supplies has undergone a stringent quality inspection. If they wouldn't consume these bulk food supplies ourselves, they wouldn't sell them. The perfect complement to your emergency preparedness items, this survival food with 25 year shelf life contains enough emergency ration to see you through any crisis situation. Their survival food kit is perfect for anyone who wants an MRE alternative, or who wants to avoid the risk of crowded grocery stores, because each box of survival essentials is a practical long term food. If you don't like their food survival kit, just let them know what the problem is and they'll do everything they can to make it right. Bear Essentials has excellent customer service and outstanding quality. If you don't like their food survival kit, just let them know what the problem is and they'll do everything they can to make it right. Bear Essentials has excellent customer service and outstanding quality.

Brand: Bear Essentials Survival

👤Not an MRE alternative. 5 large bags of dry ingredients cost more than what I could buy at the store and still require a pot and water to make. It's only useful in the ideal survival scenario. It is worthless for survival and a waste of money.

👤The bag is sealed with rice, beans, macaroni and pancake mix. It would be cheaper to buy it at the store. You need a pot and water to cook food. It is not like a MRE that you just add water and cook. The packaging is thick and seals tight. Customer service is great.

👤I was expecting a premade meal. The money was wasted.

👤It comes out to about 16 cents per 100 calories. You can't beat that. Some of it is white rice. It's in a package for 25 years. You have to replace it every couple years. I'm going to buy more. You could eat 1000 calories a day with the other 2 week supplies, but only if you had one box. Think about it. A family of 4 can have a month's supply of food for $200.

👤I bought these because I wanted to save them for a rainy day or flash flood, but I haven't opened them yet. I like the packaging, it makes it look nice to get a box of food, but I wish there was a different type of box for storage since I live in the Pacific Northwest and everything gets damp. I could put the food in a tote. The food is in a nice package. I thought it was cute that it told you when it was born. We can make it last for a while if we give a lot of serving for practical reasons. I was happy to get the emergency food and put it in a cute box. Maybe take it camping this summer.

👤It is a great price for a basic meal prep. It comes in a box that is crushed by your door. The company needs a better package after the contents were not damaged. I would buy one a month if it came better packaged. It is difficult to stack the product when the box is bulging. I'm going to buy some buckets to put it in. It seems to be good.

👤I don't buy military ration if there's no fuel or fire. This is a lot of food for a small amount of money. Having long lasting grains like this gives me some peace of mind.

👤I found that I should start just in case. The case was worth the price for a first timer. It doesn't take up much space in our limited storage and the packaging is secure, so there are no worries about anything going bad. The ingredients are straight forward and easy to make. I recommend!

8. Augason Farms Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo

Augason Farms Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo

It pairs perfectly with veggies, chicken, and steak. Add water. Ready in 20 minutes. It's perfect for everyday use and emergencies. The shelf life is up to 25 years.

Brand: Augason Farms

👤Get some of the other ones as well. If you ever need to eat emergency food, you'll be happy with the variety. People like me will not feed you if you get some.

👤This is out. T is for T, A is for A, and N is for N. D is for deficiency. I'm not sure. The stuff... Wow, wow... This has a wonderful taste. If you add smoke to it, it just makes it more powerful. It is very easy to make directions on the label. A good food can not say enough about how easy it is to make a very delicious dish. The only thing I have to worry about is the company that shipped it. Is it in the vicinity of the toilet? It would have been a nightmare to fix what they did, if my #10 had not been in that box. Oh yeah... It's a good thing.

👤Add what ever after you re-hydrate with 50% Chicken Stock.

👤It's not so bad. Looks different than the picture.

👤The product is very good and cooks quickly. Those that should reduce their salt intake are the only down side. This is very salty.

👤This is ok. It's great for freeze dried. It is priced right. I found that using my own spices made it better, more suited to my taate.

👤I can divide into small meals. I still have 1/2 a can to go after ordering it months ago.

👤Will give a new review when used.

9. ReadyWise Emergency Freeze Dried Survival Food Gluten Free

ReadyWise Emergency Freeze Dried Survival Food Gluten Free

The essential surgical kit. There are 5 different food options in each bucket. It is easy to prepare an entree using just water. There is a long-lasting storage. Food pouches keep food fresh for up to 25 years. There are 5 unique ready-to- eat freeze-dried, gluten-free entrÊes in the vegetarian packs. They have shelf-stable food for hiking and camping.

Brand: Readywise

👤I looked at the individual description labels on the back of the bucket and found wheat and soy. The first ingredient is wheat. The code for the bucket bar says it's free of wheat. I paid more money for this product. The time has expired for me to get my money back. I trusted this company to not sell fraudulent goods, but they have deceived people who need to eat wheat. This product can cause death if people have a sensitivity to thegluten.

👤It is not recommended for anything other than emergency use. Food items could not have been selected by anyone with a food allergy, but in an actual emergency, it's better than no food at all.

👤My husband is a prepper. Every family member has a bag that is designated for bug-out. We've tried many of these types of dry packed foods, so when we saw the chance to try this bucket at a discount, we agreed. I did not get this bucket for free and we prepared one of every meal to give a fair and honest review. There are 3 Teriyaki and Rice packs, 3 Chicken Pot Pie packs, 4 Loaded Baked Potato packs, and 7 Yogurt Flavored Desert Mix packs. There are 17 packs, with only 10 being actual meals. I couldn't rate this at 5 stars because of this. I assumed from reading the description that they would be individual meals or at least meals designed for 2 people. Each packet contains 4 calories. This works out for my husband and sons, but not for a single person. They would have to split the packets or make all of them and try to save some for later. I would split the packets, but you have to worry about the stuff spilling or mis-measuring. Not good. The food is pretty good. I'm not expecting a 5 star restaurant quality flavor in my meal, I'm speaking from experience of eating many similarly packed meals. We had my sister-in-law over for dinner and she made a lot of food, so we had another taste tester in the house. The individual reviews are listed below. The soup has tomato Basil. The bucket is the house favorite. My husband had a few small bowls. I don't think we mixed it well enough, there were little clumps of powder in it while we were eating. It was still the favorite in my home. When we go hiking in the cold months, we had a discussion about mixing it into thermoses. I would boil it longer, and use a whisk instead of mixing it with a soup spoon, because that would be the only thing that would be different. 2. Potato casserole. My favorite. My husband and my sister-in-law both rated this as their number two. I can't tell if it's bacon or ham, but it's delicious. It tastes like potato soup. You need a bowl and a spoon for soup, not a casserole. I might boil it a little longer next time, the ham/ bacon chunks were a little hard, but still tasty. If I'm going to make this while camping or something. I would add some shredded cheese to it. Maybe some green onions. 3. The chicken pot pie is made with chicken. The one that had mixed reviews was this one. I thought it was okay, husband didn't care for it, and sister-in-law couldn't eat it. My sister-in-law couldn't handle the texture, but we all agreed that it needed salt and pepper. It was very sticky. This was my toddler's favorite, but he doesn't talk, so I can't tell you why he loved it, just that it disappeared from his plate faster than any other entree choice. I can tell you that it had a very strong flavor, and that may be why I liked it more than everyone else. 4. Both Teriyaki and Rice are made with teriyaki sauce. Yuck. They can't all be perfect. I felt like I was eating ginger when I chewed it. I was unable to finish mine. My sister-in-law admitted that she ate too much ginger. My husband added a healthy dose of soy sauce, which toned down the ginger, but not enough for me to eat anymore. He said he almost liked the soy sauce more than the potato casserole. It isn't all bad, so plan to doctor it a bit. My toddler ate a good chunk of his portion, so he didn't dislike it. 5. There is yogurt. This was unexpected. We thought it would be thick and creamy, but it was very thin. Thinner than the soup. I used cold tap water to mix it with, but I think it would be better served in the cold. We might put it in the fridge next time. I'm not sure. The yogurt was divided into 3 mugs. It was about 1 1/2 to 2 inches deep per mug. We all agreed that it smelled amazing, like a cake batter or ice cream. The flavor was a bit less intense and the aftertaste was a bit too strong. It's not a terrible desert type. It's calories you can get through a straw. It could be worse. The bucket was pretty good, but I'm not sure which one was supposed to be the breakfast. We have plenty of meals to keep in our shelter, and we might use some of them for camping or hiking trips. We have time to eat them because they are good for 25 years.

Brand: Aversel

👤Waste of money don't buy, it doesn't come with the items.

11. Augason Farms Freeze Broccoli Florets

Augason Farms Freeze Broccoli Florets

The shelf life is up to 25 years. It's perfect for food storage, emergencies, survival, and everyday use. A 30 year shelf life is possible.

Brand: Augason Farms

👤We went into the freeze-dried gourmet world to save ourselves from bad truckstop food. It's not cheap, but it's worth it for us in terms of having veggies available on the road, it's lightweight and easy to store, and there's no salt or other Additives, just broccoli. It is easy to dehydrate in hot or cold water. We've lost some weight because of the money and time we saved.

👤The best deal for broccoli is freeze dried produce. There have been less and less full pieces lately. I use the powder in pasta sauce, but the amount I'm getting is way too much compared to the full pieces. Maybe need to look elsewhere.

👤Don't miss out. These foods are expensive but they are worth it. I try to find them on sale. My children will never have to worry about starving. If I can help. We keep a lot of food for the family and so should you. People like me won't feed you when you're hungry. Be prepared.

👤Absolutely shocked by the size of the Augason Broccoli Farm can. I just threw it away and wanted to think about it later. I opened the can of broccoli and was surprised at the size of the broccoli, they are just leaves and not the broccoli. I also order the Knorr broccoli and pasta dish, which is excellent, but it has hardly any broccoli, not even florets, which is why I ordered Augason Farms broccoli florets. I prepared the Knorr side dish for lunch this morning and added a cup of Broccoli Florets and Vroom the florets, which was great. They are expensive but the shelf life makes up for it. Sorta.

👤There is a lot of broccoli. The most held shape is colorful. It's great for snacking. Adding to soups is something I am planning on doing.

👤I was surprised at how good the broccoli was. It was a little dry, but not as dry as fresh broccoli. We used it while camping. It was easy to pack, weighed less than a pound, and gave us an excellent vegetarian option in our meals. The only downside to the option is that the broccoli was stripped. At least it didn't affect the flavor. I would give this product two thumbs up.

👤It was very good. It works like fresh broccoli in soups. It has a lot of crumbles from the florets, so it might be better for cooking with soups, pasta mixes, etc. I have found it addictive to just grab a few from the can. This is a great way to go if you don't have access to fresh veggies on a regular basis.

👤When I opened the can, it was almost entirely stems and very little cauliflower. It's a good quality product.
