It's good to eat now and it's good enough to store for a long time. There are no high fructose corn syrup, soy, or any of the other ingredients. Black bean soup, sweet habanero chili with pineapple, rice pilaf, classic chili, and oatmeal with brown sugar are some of the dishes. Black bean soup, sweet habanero chili with pineapple, rice pilaf, classic chili, and oatmeal with brown sugar are some of the dishes.
👤I got 2 after I sent this back. There are only 8 serving per pouch which doesn't do me much good. There isn't much food for 500. I can buy a huge amount of canned goods for that price.
👤I tried about 6 or 7 different MRE's and this is the one I will be buying from now on.
👤This is a great product. In case of an emergency, they put all the great kinds of food together.
👤Once it is received, I would suggest opening the bucket. To make opening easier, not much is checked. Have not tried anything yet. I know I should.
👤The company is great. There was a small hole in it. I sent them the pictures I took. Replacements are sent to me. Would use this company again. Comes in a bin.
👤A lightweight food source.
The coconut flavor is great. Contain all of the essential vitamins and minerals. It is made with the highest quality meat. GLUTEN free and non-GMO. The 'Just in Case' food supply is a backup for natural disasters. This is the best nutrition in the smallest volume. When facing uncertainty, the body needs all the daily essential vitamins and minerals. The design makes it easy to store. One bottle can last up to 15 days. The 15-Day Supply is 1 container of 180 tablets. The calculation is based on an average person. Consumption requirements can be different from person to person. The flavor was strawberry. There are 180 tablets in a box and 12 chewable tablets with 20 calories per tab. The weight of the box is 1.8 lbs. The bottle dimensions are 7.5 x W 5 x D. The weight of the box is 1.8 lbs. The bottle dimensions are 7.5 x W 5 x D.
👤I ordered 2 containers. I received a 15 day supply container and 5 bags of tabs. If my math is correct, I was shorted by 60 tabs.
👤I used a large package of these for a couple of weeks to fast. They work to take the edge off your hunger. There is a If you've ever tasted powdered coffee creamer, it's somewhat similar to the strawberry-cream taste, but better tasting. Twelve of the tablets have 100% of the USRDA of vitamins and minerals. If you only eat 12 of these, you're still getting vitamins and minerals, which is good for you. I haven't tried the other flavors yet, but if you like strawberries, coffee creamer and emergency ration, there's nothing wrong with them, except the price, which I'd like to see reduced.
👤I ordered two of them. I have to give a low rating because the seal on these containers are really substandard, and I want to love this product, but I have to give it a low rating. The bottles I ordered had broken seals. This was not caused by shipping because the box and contents are damage free. The big problem with the seal method is that the bottles are sealed with a round piece over the mouth of the container. The pop on/off top is covered in plastic. I opened the lid after cutting the plastic wrap off the top, but the inner seal was gone. The reason I bought them in the first place was because they would be a great product and this issue negates the 25 year shelf life. This kind of seal is not up to par. I returned both. I would like to point out that this manufacturer makes mylar bagging tablets in smaller quantities and higher per day price than these bottles. If you're like me, where the 25 year shelf life is essential for buying the product, then these containers are not enough to see this product live up to its claim. The plastic seal around the lid is not proof of proper seal of the contents. If they fix this issue, it could be a great product that I would buy several of because they are compact and unlike freeze dried food packs, they don't require water, which is fantastic.
👤I've been buying them for a while. If you have an electric stove, you can cook if the electric goes out. If the electric goes out during a storm and it takes a few weeks to get it back, everything in your fridge or freezer might go bad. If you have these, you will not be left starving. When you don't feel like eating, these will keep you going with the vitamins you need. These are good for hiking and camping when you can't take a lot of food. It's always a good idea to have them on hand in real emergencies. You can take these with you if you get flooded. These will still be good even if your items at home get ruined. They have the flavor. The flavor is not very strong. In times of need, you will be happy to have them. I've never had a bottle in 25 years. I have had them for a decade. They are a blessing. I would recommend them to anyone who is trying to prepare for survival. My adult son and I have relied on them for up to a month at a time when times were bad.
If you are not satisfied with any reason, please contact them by email first. You can enjoy a delicious meal in minutes if you add water. Emergency food supply for storm, Hurricane, wildfire, natural disaster, survival, backpacking, and camping. It's similar to freeze dried food but tastes better. GLUTEN free vegan, made from real food. Good To-Go meals are made in Kittery, Maine.
👤I have tried all of the vegan flavors, the food is pretty tasty, and the ingredients are all natural, which is something that some people might have a problem with. The 3 meals per day add up to less than 1300 calories. This isn't enough for a small woman and an average size man. The breakfast has 27 grams of sugar, including 11 g of added sugar. Adding sugar to a brand that is supposed to be healthful is pointless.
👤I wanted some emergency provisions in case I had to go to the grocery. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Bibimap. I keep a few packs when I go camping on my motorcycle. Good product. It tastes great. Made by a responsible company.
👤Excellent product, very tasty and good amount in each package. These are very filling and the best part is that they are low in sodium. It's hard to find dehydrated food that's not all salt, but these have great flavor and low salt, win!
👤It's easier to keep around than a bunch of canned food. The box is smaller than I thought. I bought a meal to try. Maybe the other meals are better. I won't care if there's a disaster and I have food.
👤The oatmeal is very satisfying as a start to the day and we have not tried every flavor. It's convenient to pour hot water in the bag and eat from it. Similar products are in line with portion sized based on total calories. This is a good resource for vegan campers who want to have stable food in case of emergency because there are not many vegan options in this market.
👤High quality products for backpacking. I love how vegan their products are, it makes finding quality backpacking food a lot easier.
👤I like high-quality food. I wasn't expecting much from the meal in the pouch. I was very happy to be wrong. These meals are very good, compared to other backpacking meals currently on the market. They are easy to prepare, the ingredients are recognizable, and the taste is great. The emergency box has a solid discount compared to buying individual packages on Amazon or at REI. The meals are made in a facility that hands fish and are also vegetarian. Would recommend not to touch it.
👤Good to go meals are something I enjoy. I've bought them many times the past couple of years. I wish their boxes were more varied. The benefit of buying bulk is that you will eat the same thing for 4-5 days. You have to buy them individually if you want to mix it up. I have many food sensitivities and the last place you want to have a bad experience is in the wilderness.
It has an average of 1250 calories per meal. 20,360 calories There are 6 breakfast varieties. A 20 year shelf life is possible.
👤This is the second time I have ordered this bucket. I opened the bucket and looked at the contents. One of the bags of Maple Brown Sugar Oatmeal was pierced with a tiny hole and was no longer oxygen-free. I am dumping this bag into the trash and replacing it with a couple of Mountain House pouches of granola because I can't tell if it was due to poor handling at the factory or actual product tampering. It will cost an extra $12. Did you check the contents of your food buckets?
👤It was perfect. I wish it wasn't a box in a box. It looks like it has been opened. Handel is in good condition and I am confident that the inside is closed. I am waiting on the lunch and dinner bucket for my first breakfast. A 24lb bucket of pinto beans, 24lb of rice, 10 cans of black bean burgers, and 10 cans of bell peppers are all in a pantry full of shelf stable things. I add things to a wish list and wait for a sale to buy them. I have never been able to get any of these at full price. I have slowly been getting one or two things at a time after Covid showed me how unprepared my family is. There is a bucket of emergency food. We will be cycling through 4 months of food. There are a few months worth of shelf life items. Within a month or two, I will have 6 months worth. I have been buying more food and have been eating less to fit it. The monthly food budget is what makes my purchases come out of it.
👤The dates on the packaging don't match the promised time, so they might have been sitting in a warehouse for a while. I opened it to make sure there was no puncture and there was still a decent amount of white powder in the pail. Couldn't locate the origin. I would recommend packing some zip baggies with it because some of the multiple serving pouches can't be sealed again. I have no idea how long it was in the warehouse. I got it on sale.
👤I believe that Augason Farms Breakfast Pail is an excellent emergency prep food to keep on hand in case of an emergency in your area. Depending on how much you want to eat, there is enough in one bucket to keep a single adult for 2 weeks to a month. The packages are in mylar. You need a bucket opener to open the buckets. They can be stacked one on top of the other for storage. The meals are enjoyable. I have learned that Augason Farms makes the best tasting products for shelf-staple meals that I have been able to find thus far. They have Morning Moos milk alternative powder in both flavors. When you make them according to the directions, they taste just as good as they look.
👤Imagine for a second that you are going on a camping trip with three children. Imagine that you have to choose between making a breakfast menu and a lunch menu, and then assembling 50 pounds of fresh breakfast and dinner foods. How do you keep the milk cold? How do you store and carry it? One of these little pails and another little pail containing the Auguson Farms lunch/dinner foods menu can be carried with you. Four of you, a grandmother or two, and a breakfast pail seem to be enough.
The benefits of a soy-free diet are provided by safe, sustainable ingredients. The package contains 9g Protein and 5g Fieber. Plant-based fiber and energy from plants keep you moving. There are multiple climates. A mix of natural ingredients provide a quick and filling meal. You can feel good knowing that you are feeding your body with healthy ingredients. Non-GMO project verification: PROBAR products are non-GMO.
👤When I received my Variety Pack of ProBars, I ripped open the Amazon box and the box on the porch. Excited to try the muffin before my wife gets home. I knew she would want half as we had discussed how we wanted to try it. I may be exaggerating a bit. I looked at the picture to see what flavors were in the Variety Pack and I found that the one I wanted to try was the one with the berry flavor. We were disappointed that it wasn't there. We found a new product in its place, which is likely to be a big hit. We also bought a pack of Banana Nut Bread ProBars. She thought these were great when she tried them at work. I was pleasantly surprised that it was quite good, but I didn't expect it to be as good as she was. The Variety Pack has an expiration date hidden under the flap, while the bars have a date printed on them. There are two Banana Nut Bread bars in the picture. I'm being picky, but when am I not? I have to pull the flap up out of the way so I can see the ingredients and the serving is only half a bar. You bet! We decided to rate the bars from the Variety Pack on a scale of 1 to 5. 5 for most good and 1 for least good. Our taste ratings are complete for all of them. I thought we would like them first. It didn't turn out to be our preference all that way through, but the one we tried last did turn out to be one of only two that we both gave a five. She likes it more than I do. Superberry & Greens: 4 - 3. It was rated higher than expected. The Superfruit Slam is 4 - 3. It was rated higher than expected. We wouldn't buy this again. The Slam is called the Superfood Slam. The combine rating of the ProBars was the lowest. I'm pretty sure taste isn't everything. It's a good thing. There is a Almond Cashew Crunch: 3 - 3. Hey! We agree on the first one. If it was the last one on the shelf, we would probably not buy a box of these, but we would eat them. Which, in this case. A good tasting peanut butter bar that we will buy again by the box. The Banana Nut Bread is 5 - 4. The bar was the one that got us started on ProBars. She loves buying them at work. She gave it a score of 5. I've never been a fan of mom's banana nut bread, but this does taste like it. I don't like nuts in breads, but I liked this bar better than I thought, and I gave it a 4. Oatmeal Chocolate Chip: 4 - 4 again! You can buy by the box. The chocolate coconut is 5 - 5. The first pair of 5s. It tastes like a health version of a favorite candy bar. She had to have a fractional rating for this. I followed with my own. She might buy a box of these. What a dilemma! : There is a The peanut butter chocolate chip is 5 - 5 This was supposed to be the best bar in my order. We agreed that it was a 5. Will get a box on our next order. The story of the muffin is its own. A friend in a nearby town told us that a popular local quick stop chain has these. We checked 5 locations in our town and they had 5 different bars, but not a single one of the famous muffins. She ordered an entire box of these from Amazon. The ratings for the muffin are 3 - 4. I guess it's sort of anticlimactic. The box group probably wouldn't let this one in. I would like to see a better breakdown of the fats in the bar. It would be nice to know more about Mono-unsaturated Polyunsaturated fats. The details of the bars would be nice. They don't seem to have trans fats. It would be good if there were less salt and more sugars. - Richard
Mayday ready to drink water has a shelf life of 5 years. Mayday water pouches can be used to prevent hydration. 100 cartons of emergency drinking water pack. The lightweight cartons make carrying water easier. There are air tights. In the pouches, the contents are preserved, sterile, and sealed. The water is free of any Additives or Preservatives. It's great for storing in case of disasters. It won't break down like plastic bottles and offers a longer shelf life. It can tolerate temperatures from 40 F to 230 F. A great addition to a survival food supply. There are roof pantyhose. Purified by reverse osmosis and sealed in leak-proof pouches. It's perfect for schools, boats, homeless, offices, shelters, vehicles, boats or RVs. US coast guard approved so you can be sure your supplies are safe for emergencies. It won't break down like plastic bottles and offers a longer shelf life. US coast guard approved so you can be sure your supplies are safe for emergencies. It won't break down like plastic bottles and offers a longer shelf life.
👤They are bags of water. If you're using these, they're to keep you alive, not comfortable, because they don't hold much water. If you're sweating or in a very dry climate, you should increase the number of pouches you take. The water tastes good. Five-year shelf life is what they say. I think they will last much longer than that as nothing will break down. The rubbery plastic inner liner is strong and can make tearing it open a challenge, but the pouches are pretty durable. The pouches have room to spare, so they shouldn't burst. If you're storing these water pouches yourself, remember that ice expands just under 10%. If you think the water might freeze, leave one pouch worth of volume free. They will most likely break their seams when it's cold. I put the.50 cal can in my freezer while I was experimenting with ways to store the water for survival kits. You can store ten pouches sandwich-style or eleven pouches stacked. If the can will be exposed to freezing temperatures for more than a night, they will almost certainly blow up, but you can fit twelve pouches stacked in their liquid form and still have room for the lid to close. If you live in a high desert, you should be okay if you only experience overnight freezes. The box was the best value on Amazon and I went for it. I wish the crimped edges of the pouches were a bit smaller, they are almost half an inch wide, and it introduces more challenges to storage. I use them for survival kits in a disaster and for my car. If you're looking for a home emergency water supply, you should use large gallon containers.
👤The box arrived in perfect shape and was verified that I got 100 packs. I divided them between the 4 emeregency back packs that I have for each member of my inmediate family. The order was placed in February 2020 and expires in January 2025. Good deal.
👤I am happy with the purchase. The pouches don't have a lot of room to tear it open. I didn't think there was a strange taste when I opened it. There is a 1/2 cup of water inside each pouch. Suggests that there be 4 pouches per person. The box has a lot of pouches. In case of an emergency, I'm happy!
👤I have used other survival water that was white with purple writing on it and it tasted like chemicals.
👤You don't have to keep those bottles of water in the car for an emergency. The product was fresh when it was one month old. There are some in the car for the kids to throw in the trunk. I don't know if I'll ever taste one, but under emergency circumstances who's going to work up if it's not pristine?
👤I was going to buy a replacement water for my bag from the original company. The prices for the water pouches were almost twice as much as shipping. I contacted them about the price difference and they said they would make sure their pouches were up to date. I went with the Amazon pouches because I couldn't justify the price of theirs. The expired date started in November of 2019. I was okay with that if it wasn't close to a year or more for the price. The pouches are very strong.
The potential for loss was minimized. 4.2 ounces would be lost if a packet was dropped or destroyed. Mainstay bars are included in the Emergency Pack. The US Coast Guard approved a 3-day supply of food. The shelf life is from the manufacturing date. No peanuts or peanut oil.
The no-mess, no-melt snack or dessert can be stored for up to 3 years. There is no need for refrigeration. A pack of emergency food has a shelf life of 5 years. The US Coast Guard has standards. The requirement of SOLAS 74/83 is met. Both are Kosher and Halal. It is high in vitamins and minerals. There is noCholesterol or Tropical Oils. No peanut butter or peanut oil. There is no thievery provoking. The temperature can be as low as -40 F to 300F.
👤The bar was pristine and the vacuum seal held up well when I opened up the package eight years ago. It was the same as when it was packaged. I love the consistency of the short bread that it has. It was moist and non-thirsty. I was relieved to know that these last longer than the expire date. I'm going to throw the rest out and buy again because I can. The family had to taste a bit to make sure they would eat them. Some of them are very picky.
👤I bought a bunch of emergency ration for the family to sample and decide which ones they would rather have in our 72 hour kits. The winner in taste and texture was these. The flavor is very similar to a sugar cookie that you would buy at the store. It's easy to bite a piece off of the thick ration. The texture is the same as eating a cookie. I plan to keep these in my carry bag as a snack when I miss a meal. The highest score for the whole family was achieved by the ones that had the best flavor and texture. I plan to put two of the packages in the emergency kit. 1200 calories per day is not enough for me in a high-stress situation. When I finished the ration, I was not thirsty, even though I would appreciate a bit of water. In an emergency situation water may not be easy to come by.
👤There are two dangers to buying a product of this nature. 1. The shelf life of the items could be shortened by less than five years if the packaging is compromised. 2. The manufacture date could be outdated. They will have a shorter shelf life if they were not manufactured recently. The item arrived on time with intact factory sealed packaging. They were only 3 months into their five year shelf life at the time of purchase. TheLIABLE SELLER of this type of product
👤I have used Mainstay for 13 years. Datrex was always very dry, with an almost cardboard texture, before that time. I discovered the Mainstay ration at a fair. They stay fresh even after 5 years of storage in my emergency kit, and I carry 2 packs of the ration so I have enough for about 6 days in a true emergency.
👤Happy to report that the flavor is ok. It is a sugar cookie with a hint of lemon. When you separate the portions, they don't fall apart and turn to dust. The product is in its blocks. It doesn't have the cottonmouth effect so you won't be getting wet after eating it. I think this is the best one I have had so far. I get the full 5 years out of them because they were packaged this year.
👤A lot of people look for food to put in a go-bag. Emergency ration are not made for that situation. For a 72 hour situation, none of them have enough calories or calories at all. You should buy MRE's for your bag. The emergency ration is intended for a shelter where you are sitting all day and not using much energy. It might be days before you are rescued if you leave some in your car during the winter or the desert during the summer. They are not food. They are low energy survival food. The Mainstay bar has over 3000 calories in it. The package is not re-sealable. If it is raining or there are insects, the bar might be ruined if you don't eat it all. The package comes with a pre-portioned "cake" that you can break or cut. Most of the brands were sealed in 200 or 400 calories. The Mainstay bar can't be re-sealed, which is a weakness for this product. The Mayday brand is very soft. It has the same texture as a sugar cookie, but without the sugar flavor. It doesn't have any taste. If you ate 800 calories, you would get most of your vitamins and minerals. The food bars that I tried seem to be approved by the US Coast Guard, which makes them seem to be intended for use on a life raft. I will not be buying more of this brand because the wrapper cannot be re-sealed. If you keep the package in a bag until you need it, you can get around the issue. That is a possibility. The vitamins and calories in this brand are enough for a survival situation, but the fact that it can't be re-sealed is a major issue for me. These are not a snack, they are emergency ration and are not intended to taste good, so check my reviews of other survival bars. Unless you are injured, you should not eat for the first 24 hours. After a few days, you will not starve to death.
A 500g pack contains 9 individual bars with an energy value of 260 kcal each, which are vacuum-welded together in an aluminum foil. A 500g pack offers more than an average daily emergency of 1800-2000 kcal. The calories per ration is 3600. The US Coast Guard standards are met. The temperature was -40 F to 300F. The temperature was -40 F to 300F.
👤0 stars. Both of them are called Bilbo and Sitch. I bought one of the food ration to try before buying a case. This was supposed to be a sugar cookie. The mainstay coconut bars have a pictur for date. These were made on 12/14. 2 of the packs were damaged.
👤The two people on the left are vacuum sealed. The two on the right are not sealed. I bought a pack of bars. 3 of the 10 were not sealed properly, so I know they will last the 5 years. The other 7 were made in October of 2020, so they have been exposed to oxygen for almost five months. I would recommend to go with a different brand. I will have to reach out to the company to figure out how to deal with this situation.
👤We needed emergency food storage. I wanted to see what they tasted like. They smell like grease and reminded me of when I was younger. They don't taste like they smell. The taste is not that sweet. We could eat these if we needed to. I only gave four stars because of the smell. They're good. We will be buying another case soon.
👤Most of the low-star reviews say to check your product immediately after you receive it. The bars I ordered in January of last year were manufactured in 2016 so they burned through almost all of the shelf life. I assume that one of the bars was unsafe to eat because of the vacuum seal failure. Just sent it back. The product is great, but inventory management is poor.
👤I would love to give five stars. I contacted the seller to let them know I got 2 out of 10. It's been a week and no word back. The service was poor. Poor product. A few of mine were not labeled with an expiration date. This seems to happen a bit. If you're looking for 25 year shelf life, buy from someone else. I don't like to rely on these in an emergency.
👤Half of the packages are not strong. I don't know how long they last with air circulation. I have every reason to believe that half of them would last longer than five years. Half of them are not. I have to vacuum seal five of them because I have to finish the job on half.
👤The taste is not bad for what it is. It's pretty good like shortbread with a hint of lemon. They need to ship it better because the packaging is not strong. I ordered a set for myself and two friends, not my specialty. Each had at least one that the packaging was not long air tight. The bar is good, but they need to not just throw them in with no padding in the box. It might not be the biggest deal, considering the bulk I ordered, but nothing about how it was handled or the situation that may not happen in smaller batches, or replacement batches for the damaged one, should be taken into account.

👤I don't like to eat breakfast in the morning, but I need to have something with my medication. These bars are good and filling, so my medication doesn't upset my stomach.
👤Product was in perfect order and shape. The price is good. Lots of flavors the guys loved.
👤These are my favorites. I will have one for breakfast. I'm set for a long time. My favorite is the one with my favorite flavor of peanut butter. Excellent taste! I have to stop snacking on them.
👤The family went to Egypt. We had these for snacks during the two week trip, I bought a box of them. There were 8 different flavors. I don't get to try Clif or any other kind of bars so it was great to sample the different flavors. The peanut butter crunch was my favorite. I used them for long day hikes. Light. It is easy to carry. Provides the calories I need. They taste great.
👤Good price. I liked the variety in this pack. They seemed dryer than in the past. I'm not sure what happened there, it's about 6 months from now. Most likely will not buy again.
👤When you don't have a lot of time to eat, this is a great snack to have on hand. I use a banana when I travel. There are lots of flavors. Definitely worth a try.
👤If you like cookies and cookie dough, this is a brand for you.
👤I bought the variety pack to see which one I liked the most. Most are pretty good. There are some that are not so good. Someone else might like all of them. The variety pack allowed me to know which flavor I like the most.
👤Can't argue with the price.
The Apple Cinnamon Flavour: APPLE CINNAMON. Provides needed nutrition while enjoying the food. The bar has a delicious apple cinnamon flavor. 20 food bar ration for the whole family. 3 days supply of 3,600 calories. It is hydrated and not thirsty. The U.S. Coast Guard approved. Emergency ration food bar.
👤The item I received was over a year old and was made to last 5 years. If you're going to sell a product that has already been used up, you should specify that.
👤Simple ingredients. There are ration bars in the pack. When the wrap on a single portion is opened, it is like a very very biscuit. The taste is similar to a cracker. It was a good value for an experiment to try ration bars.
👤One bar will keep you hungry for 6 hours. Enough time to eat.
👤The packaging is terrible. The outer part is not bad. The inside is worse. Each bar is wrapped. It seems like they are easy to open. They are supposed to unwrap easily because the plastic is wrapped around it and sealed on 2 ends so you can open it. But... It's difficult to find that opening because they were vacuumed in. 1/2 The bar breaks up inside when it doesn't open the way it should. The bar is so dry that it will fall apart if you get it out in one piece. A lot of the bar can be wasted. The taste is not as good as other bars.
👤I haven't tried the product because I purchased it as emergency ration. The 5 year shelf life is a selling point. The product I received was almost half of the shelf life of the product I received. It was manufactured in May 2012 and expires in May 2017:
👤Can't expect much, but there if needed.
👤Not terrible. It's good for storing away as it has a long shelf life and is well packed.
👤I could blow on it and watch it fall apart into powder, and have a drink with it.
