Brand: The Survival Tabs

👤How many tabs do you have? More like 180 and won't answer my messages.

👤I received one of the containers. For one container, it's $150. Hope you correct the mistake.

👤The description says there are 4 bottles. I received 3 bottles and 540 tabs. I was going to buy more if I liked these, because it's a simple way to prepare for emergencies and it has a long shelf life, but I was shorted an entire bottle.

👤This will be a great back up for any emergency. Natural disasters, stranded somewhere, or anything else can happen in this day and age. I laughed at a reviewer who was complaining about the daily calories. Something is better than nothing in an emergency. It's not a gourmet meal, but it's a great back-up for either nothing or filling in on limited food choices you may have in your pantry, as well as being a great way to meet your daily calories intake. In an emergency, you will have to use what you have on hand, and this is just another reassurance you can have somewhere in your home, or even take while camping for weeks on end in the middle of no where! This is a great addition to anyone who cares about preparing for an emergency, or just doesn't want to be taken by surprise in the event of an emergency. The Red Cross believes in a few days of preparation. Does it matter how it tastes if you are desperate?

👤Not bad. I tried a few. I can't say the flavor is exactly as described, but I can see how they'll help you feel like you've eaten something, even if you don't have vitamins or minerals.

👤I bought these for a worst case scenario to have the key minerals and ingredients. For 15 days, each container has 100 percent of your key nutrients. It's definitely expensive but it's cheaper than freeze dried food as I have quite a few of these and ramen for pure empty calories. I think they taste really good. It's a key component to any survivalist.

👤If this keeps 25 years, I think you'd need more than that to survive, but it works for me. They tasted really good when I tried them. You would need about 3 times the ration per day. They don't take a lot of space. I'll buy a few.

👤I only received a 30 day supply of survival tabs after ordering a 60 day supply. I paid 158 dollars for a 60 day supply.

👤Good product. It took a long time to get here. Canada customs is to blame for that.

2. Datrex 3600 Emergency Food Bar

Datrex 3600 Emergency Food Bar

Each bar can be eaten in six portions with a total of 2400 calories. There are 18 bars with 200 calories per bar. It is packaged in a way that makes it easy to ration and store in your survival and disaster kit. All natural ingredients with superior coconut flavor. The small and lightweight is USCG approved and has a 5 year shelf life. A high energy value and ready to eat.

Brand: Stansport

👤I got the full life from my pack, which was packed in July of last year. I bought this to see if it worked out. The directions say to eat 1 bar every 6 hours at sea and 4 hours on land. It's 4 bars per day since you won't be awake for 24 hours. You could go 4 days on that metric. I only had 3 bars on my first day. It's possible to go for 5 days. I only ate 25% of my normal intake, so I felt weaker throughout the day. I have a very physically demanding job. It's a good test to me. The bars are wrapped. They look like someone crushed a bunch of dog biscuits and compressed them into a bar that was three times as thick. The individual wrappers are not sealed. They are hard to unwrap, and you will have to break the bar into pieces to open it. The bar is very brittle and can easily fall. It's basically the same flavor as a slightly old graham cracker. You could put it on a cheese cake. If you drink a little water with it, you can have it in your mouth for a while.

👤The portable calories are waterproof. Perfect emergency food. There were no strong reactions among the people I've had try them. These are supposed to be coconut flavor, but I didn't like it at all, they taste like a graham cracker. It's a good thing that these are easy to eat for people with poor or no teeth as the texture is very crumbly. Emergency ration should be easy to eat and neutral. If you need to bust into these, there's no reason you should have to eat terrible food because the situation is already bad. They're not good enough for anyone to get into them without a need. Not good for frivolous snacking. When you last heard someone say "I'm craving some emergency ration!" Nope, me not. It helps if you aren't really good at making sure they're there when you need them. The outer package is easy to open, but the inner plastic shrink wrap on the individual bars was difficult to open. It is doable, but a knife or sharp object will make it easier. They made good s'mores. The leftovers from the tester packages were not as good as normal crackers, but we had to find something to do with them.

👤I haven't tried them yet because I purchased them for shelf storage. I only bought one pack because I wanted to try them, but my husband said no. My review is based on the packaging. I bought them on 4-13-2017. The manufacturing date is 9-15, and only just now been noticed. These are 1.5 years old. I know they have 3 years left on them, but when I asked the seller about the shelf life, he said they have a 5 year shelf life. All of our stock is new. I'm not happy that I'm losing shelf life, but I only paid $9 for them. I'm not going to complain to the company and have no plans to return them, but just be aware that when you receive them, they may not have 5 years of shelf storage left. The package was vacuum sealed and arrived quickly. The instructions are printed on them at sea and land. I don't have to worry about remembering. There are drinking water tips in emergency situations. I'll update my review if I can convince the husband to open them. If it had full shelf life, I would have given it 4 stars.

The MET-Rx Big 100 Protein Bars feature their exclusive METAMYOSYN blend, which combines fast and slow absorbing protein sources to help you reach new levels of performance.

Brand: Met-rx

👤The worst bar I have ever had. It is so sweet and tasteless. People consume food made in a chemistry laboratory. It has a lot of chemicals that are hard to pronounce. I assumed that a banana or an apple is much cheaper and healthier than junk food and will never have a bite of it. We have to pay to be poisoned. I was looking forward to it, but I am very disappointed.

👤It is one large box with 3 individual boxes inside. There are 2 boxes of Super Cookie Crunch and 1 box of CChip Cookie Dough. The cookie dough box was not full. It had been previously opened and closed with loops under the lid and only 3 cookie bars in it.

👤This isn't a "protein supplement", it's a straight up meal replacement. This isn't a high-fiber snack bar, it's 410 calories and 40 grams ofCarbohydrates. The taste of the Super Cookie Crunch is amazing. The Cookie Dough is not good enough to warrant a return visit. I love the Cookie Crunch, but maybe a little too much.

👤I'm not sure why people are making a big deal about these being huge. Most meal-replacement type bars are just as good. I'm really happy with the flavors, and they have a very small bar. They're not like chewing on rubber. I will order more after I try them.

👤I used to get these, but can't anymore. The taste is good. The problem is that it's thick, so it's not a good substitute for cinder blocks in the cold. I'm just kidding. I have hurt my jaw on these things. I did an experiment. I weigh 185. I stood on one of the bars. All of my weight is on the bar. I tried jumping up and down on it. It did not change at all. It's like a piece of wood. To eat it, you need to open it wide, and either break your jaw trying to bite a piece off, or attempt to break a piece off by bending it. It's not worth it. The cookie dough bars are amazing. The bars are easy to eat and taste great. You get more bricks in the packaging that Amazon sells.

👤I'm not very focused on fitness right now, so I'm more interested in finding filling bars that I enjoy eating. I was recently diagnosed with attention deficit disorder and I'm still adjusting to my medication that suppresses my appetite in the mornings. I've been relying on these bars as a quick and delicious solution to get the vitamins and minerals I need. I like the Peanut Butter Cup, Super Cookie Crunch, Chocolate Chocolate Crunch, and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. The cereals are pretty sweet. The Churro was good, but not my favorite. I would like to try more of the flavors.

👤The Cookie Dough flavor is popular with my husband and son. They are a great snack for my son. My son keeps one in his bookbag in case he misses breakfast or has to eat a late dinner. My husband keeps a few in my workbag because he travels. The taste is good and the energy level is good. We are very happy with this product and we have it in our pantry.

4. S S Food Labs Millennium

S S Food Labs Millennium

You will get 6 different flavors. The packing material isdurable. The packing is vacuum packed and free of the harmful chemicals that can be found in food. The packaging is very well sealed. If you are in an emergency situation like calamity, out of food, camping, boating, hiking, or more, these are a good substitute. They are ready to eat for adults and kids. Excellent gift for your friends, kids or anyone in your life. There are survival tips inside for you and your family.

Brand: S.o.s. Food Labs

👤I understand that this is not a snack food. You can live on dandelions, boiling tree bark, and eating worms. Survival food doesn't have to taste like filet mignon, but it should at least keep you going and not make you want to stop eating. The taste is my main complaint. Oh God! The taste... The taste is amazing. The flavors are reviewed. We all know that you buy this food because it is pre-made and is supposed to be usable. It's true, but I wouldn't choke down one of the sugar bricks if anyone else was available. The taste deserves 100 stars. I have given it 2 stars because it is survival food, but there are many better options. Let's get to texture and taste. It is a texture. Imagine if you mashed a cup of sugar, a cup of sand, and a cup of flour and oil into a meal, and then colored it with sand. That is the most appealing description I could give. The texture was universal. There is a The reviews on taste are from the first bite to the last. There is a It's a fruit. It tasted like the shipment didn't show up. They put the air freshener in the mixing bowl after taking it out of the men's restroom. I felt like I was eating a cake. It doesn't describe it very well. It's a third trimester abortion. I feel like I made a mistake. There is a First blush... I thought maybe not. The artificial cherry flavor tasted like cherry Twizzlers and dry sugar cookie dough, and the baby that was put up for adoption grew up in a Detroit inner city orphanage. I swallowed it. There is a I'm not happy with this so far, but it's lemon... who could possibly make a mistake? Yeah... I was back in hell. It was like eating powdered kitty litter. It was oily, horrible, and long after taste... The person who signed off on this should be ashamed of themselves. I tried to spit it out. I cried a little thinking about having to continue. I put these things in my mouth, even though I didn't want to. It wasn't bad. It was like eating a poptart, if you dropped it in the sand, but were still hungry, you picked it up and ate it. This was the best of the bunch. There is a I had hopes after the berry, but they were dashed. The apricot was almost tasteless at first, but then it became like those sugar covered apricot rings. Artificial doesn't even begin to describe it. Bishop from Aliens was more natural than this. I spit it out. It wasn't good as a berry. It was disappointing. You might be able to maintain your nutrition. You will want to kill yourself by the third bar if you want to get another one. It makes you want to kill yourself. It was hard, hard pass.

👤The ratings for the 3-star and below are for laughs. The complainers won't eat these because they won't survive the emergency. These are very good. Those who eat candy bars and Twinkies will find the sawdust comments fair. The texture is standard for this type of bar. They don't taste like sawdust. It's a good idea to put this in the family car for emergencies. I would eat these as a treat if I were watching a video. The first 36 bars were for $47. You can get these for 6 bars. That is an increase from the previous price of $1.30 per bar. Is it possible for CV-19 to be priced too much? I will not buy these for those prices because I still have 2 years left on my last order. Uncalled for when pricing in inflation. They are very good. I don't want to pay the price. I have several options in my plan. I hope they can be replaced with cheaper options.

5. Rations Emergency 3600 Calorie Food

Rations Emergency 3600 Calorie Food

The US Coast Guard approved a 12-day supply of food. 2 packets Each packet contains fortified food bars. The US Coast Gaurd was approved for 5 years shelf life. The USCG No 160.046.36 was approved. No 168.006. It is designed to sustain life until rescue or addtional food is available. The coconut flavor is great. The coconut flavor is great.

Brand: Sos Food Labs, Inc.

👤I'm only eating these for 3 days. A personal challenge. The Final Day is day 3. If you like coconut, the taste is great. I score there. The main ingredient in the biscuits/cookies is sugar. They haven't spiked my blood sugar, I've taken my blood sugar 3 times, twice the first day and once yesterday. It was either 81 or 82 each time. The brick of food is 1.6 pounds, there are 9 biscuits/cookies, and each one weighs almost 3 ounces. The package felt greasy when I opened it and I was looking at a block of food. I cut a third of the cookies away with a knife, but they were wrapped individually and stuck together. They are wrapped in plastic. I've been drinking water with each cookie because of the promotion of thirst. That is important to keeping hunger away. I drink about 480 ounces of water and 6-7 cups of tea each day. For breakfast, lunch and dinner, I cut the cookies in thirds and eat 1/3 of a cookie. I save the last third for a snack. It seems to work until about 4pm when I get hungry and have to wait for it to pass. I continued to work out in the morning for 45 minutes. I feel the weight on my eye lids in the evening because I'm a little more tired than usual. I usually sleep for 7 hours but last night I slept for 8. I feel great in the mornings. I feel tired in the late afternoons and evenings. Breakfast was my strategy. I haven't had it yet. I ate it on the day before. A 1/3 of a cookie is enough to eat. Before you eat, drink at least 20 ounces of water. Yesterday was almost 11 am, so you should wait as long as you can. Again drink water and tea. There is a Yesterday was 1 pm. Drink water. The snack was at 3:30 pm. Drink water and tea. The dinner was close to 6 pm. Drink water and tea before and during snack. Water and tea are good for you. I lost over 6 pounds in 2 days. There were no ill effects. The first night was cold. I had to drink tea and put a warm cup against my neck to warm me up after taking my temperature. It might have been that I was incorporating a lot of tea into the plan last night, because I didn't have the same effect. Put one in your car, your wife's car, your kid's car. They're great for emergencies. Live off them for 3 days if they're about to expire. Update I lost 9 pounds after completing the challenge and felt great the whole time. The hunger is not the only thing. It's worth keeping your cars in case of an emergency.

👤The apocalypse won't be bad after all. I decided to eat one and see if I want to keep this in my closet. They are so delicious that I've already gone through a 3 day pack. There was nothing wasted. I "lived" off of 3 bars a day for 3 days, and they do eradicate hunger. I accomplished everything I could on a day to day basis, except for the desire for a cheeseburger. It was an interesting 3 days but I am confident that S.O.S. Rations will be a great addition to the long term food storage. If I can stop eating them. I had them with coffee, so maybe that was cheating.

6. ReadyWise Emergency Freeze Dried Survival Food Gluten Free

ReadyWise Emergency Freeze Dried Survival Food Gluten Free

The essential surgical kit. There are 5 different food options in each bucket. It is easy to prepare an entree using just water. There is a long-lasting storage. Food pouches keep food fresh for up to 25 years. There are 5 unique ready-to- eat freeze-dried, gluten-free entrées in the vegetarian packs. They have shelf-stable food for hiking and camping.

Brand: Readywise

👤I looked at the individual description labels on the back of the bucket and found wheat and soy. The first ingredient is wheat. The code for the bucket bar says it's free of wheat. I paid more money for this product. The time has expired for me to get my money back. I trusted this company to not sell fraudulent goods, but they have deceived people who need to eat wheat. This product can cause death if people have a sensitivity to thegluten.

👤It is not recommended for anything other than emergency use. Food items could not have been selected by anyone with a food allergy, but in an actual emergency, it's better than no food at all.

👤My husband is a prepper. Every family member has a bag that is designated for bug-out. We've tried many of these types of dry packed foods, so when we saw the chance to try this bucket at a discount, we agreed. I did not get this bucket for free and we prepared one of every meal to give a fair and honest review. There are 3 Teriyaki and Rice packs, 3 Chicken Pot Pie packs, 4 Loaded Baked Potato packs, and 7 Yogurt Flavored Desert Mix packs. There are 17 packs, with only 10 being actual meals. I couldn't rate this at 5 stars because of this. I assumed from reading the description that they would be individual meals or at least meals designed for 2 people. Each packet contains 4 calories. This works out for my husband and sons, but not for a single person. They would have to split the packets or make all of them and try to save some for later. I would split the packets, but you have to worry about the stuff spilling or mis-measuring. Not good. The food is pretty good. I'm not expecting a 5 star restaurant quality flavor in my meal, I'm speaking from experience of eating many similarly packed meals. We had my sister-in-law over for dinner and she made a lot of food, so we had another taste tester in the house. The individual reviews are listed below. The soup has tomato Basil. The bucket is the house favorite. My husband had a few small bowls. I don't think we mixed it well enough, there were little clumps of powder in it while we were eating. It was still the favorite in my home. When we go hiking in the cold months, we had a discussion about mixing it into thermoses. I would boil it longer, and use a whisk instead of mixing it with a soup spoon, because that would be the only thing that would be different. 2. Potato casserole. My favorite. My husband and my sister-in-law both rated this as their number two. I can't tell if it's bacon or ham, but it's delicious. It tastes like potato soup. You need a bowl and a spoon for soup, not a casserole. I might boil it a little longer next time, the ham/ bacon chunks were a little hard, but still tasty. If I'm going to make this while camping or something. I would add some shredded cheese to it. Maybe some green onions. 3. The chicken pot pie is made with chicken. The one that had mixed reviews was this one. I thought it was okay, husband didn't care for it, and sister-in-law couldn't eat it. My sister-in-law couldn't handle the texture, but we all agreed that it needed salt and pepper. It was very sticky. This was my toddler's favorite, but he doesn't talk, so I can't tell you why he loved it, just that it disappeared from his plate faster than any other entree choice. I can tell you that it had a very strong flavor, and that may be why I liked it more than everyone else. 4. Both Teriyaki and Rice are made with teriyaki sauce. Yuck. They can't all be perfect. I felt like I was eating ginger when I chewed it. I was unable to finish mine. My sister-in-law admitted that she ate too much ginger. My husband added a healthy dose of soy sauce, which toned down the ginger, but not enough for me to eat anymore. He said he almost liked the soy sauce more than the potato casserole. It isn't all bad, so plan to doctor it a bit. My toddler ate a good chunk of his portion, so he didn't dislike it. 5. There is yogurt. This was unexpected. We thought it would be thick and creamy, but it was very thin. Thinner than the soup. I used cold tap water to mix it with, but I think it would be better served in the cold. We might put it in the fridge next time. I'm not sure. The yogurt was divided into 3 mugs. It was about 1 1/2 to 2 inches deep per mug. We all agreed that it smelled amazing, like a cake batter or ice cream. The flavor was a bit less intense and the aftertaste was a bit too strong. It's not a terrible desert type. It's calories you can get through a straw. It could be worse. The bucket was pretty good, but I'm not sure which one was supposed to be the breakfast. We have plenty of meals to keep in our shelter, and we might use some of them for camping or hiking trips. We have time to eat them because they are good for 25 years.

7. Datrex 3600 Emergency Food Bar CASE

Datrex 3600 Emergency Food Bar CASE

There will be more water storage per inch. The design allows for more water storage. A more compact emergency water storage solution. The pack contains 32 cartons of drinking water. The total of 90 bars in the value pack is 200 calories per bar. It is packaged in a way that makes it easy to ration and store in your survival and disaster kit. The coconut flavor is superior and all natural. The small and lightweight is USCG approved and has a 5 year shelf life. A high energy value and ready to eat. A high energy value and ready to eat.

Brand: Datrex

👤I don't know why I gave it five stars. I hope to never have to use this. Emergency food is what it is. We need to be able to survive and not like "Oh we ran out of mac-and-cheese", which is what N. Korea did. I assume the internet will be down at that point, so I'll keep ordering stuff, but you won't see my final review because I assume Amazon Prime will still be able to provide two day shipping at that point.

👤I have used this product before. It is reliable and has all it's claims. We have kit bags that are updated every few years. The Emergency Food Bar case is very reliable. The Emergency Food Bar was the best we found and tested. I will order them again.

👤It's hard to beat the price when buying in bulk, as you get about 550 kcal per dollar for something that's ready to eat, fairly balanced, and non-perishable. You can get more calories for your buck by buying more staple foods such as rice, sugar, or vegetable shortening, but you need to prepare something to eat out of that. The taste of Datrex bars isn't overwhelming, and they aren't really sweet. They have a biscuit-like consistency with a hint of coconut. It is something you can enjoy in a non- emergency setting. If it ever comes to that, they are probably ok for medium-term survival with a reasonable blend of vitamins and fat. The heavy weight is the only negative. If you want to hike or be tired, you're better off with freeze-dried foods.

👤I keep them in my emergency supplies. I try to test my emergency equipment before I put it away to make sure I know what to expect when I need it. I've purchased other emergency food bars and ration packs, but these Datrex bars are my go-to bar now. I don't care about making sure I have the healthiest ingredients in emergency food, I need affordability andDurability. Datrex makes an affordable product that is quite healthy, performs well in my car all year, tastes quite good, and doesn't leave me thirsty, and that's just one of the reasons I like it. Definitely a winner in my book. I supplement these with a few MRE ration so that I can have some heated food for a few nights so that I don't get stressed out.

👤I decided to create an earthquake survival kit because I am working in southern California. You can survive for a month if you buy a case of vitamins and have enough water. You should keep your kit in your car. It is always close by.

👤One of the units lost its vacuum. I had the chance to sample the bars. The bar was not very good. It was very hard to eat. The sweeter it got the better. They would work well in a survival situation. Each unit has bars wrapped in plastic. I will keep a small amount due to my experience.

8. Emergency Food Rations 10 3600 Calorie

Emergency Food Rations 10 3600 Calorie

A 500g pack contains 9 individual bars with an energy value of 260 kcal each, which are vacuum-welded together in an aluminum foil. A 500g pack offers more than an average daily emergency of 1800-2000 kcal. The calories per ration is 3600. The US Coast Guard standards are met. The temperature was -40 F to 300F. The temperature was -40 F to 300F.

Brand: Grizzly Gear

👤0 stars. Both of them are called Bilbo and Sitch. I bought one of the food ration to try before buying a case. This was supposed to be a sugar cookie. The mainstay coconut bars have a pictur for date. These were made on 12/14. 2 of the packs were damaged.

👤The two people on the left are vacuum sealed. The two on the right are not sealed. I bought a pack of bars. 3 of the 10 were not sealed properly, so I know they will last the 5 years. The other 7 were made in October of 2020, so they have been exposed to oxygen for almost five months. I would recommend to go with a different brand. I will have to reach out to the company to figure out how to deal with this situation.

👤We needed emergency food storage. I wanted to see what they tasted like. They smell like grease and reminded me of when I was younger. They don't taste like they smell. The taste is not that sweet. We could eat these if we needed to. I only gave four stars because of the smell. They're good. We will be buying another case soon.

👤Most of the low-star reviews say to check your product immediately after you receive it. The bars I ordered in January of last year were manufactured in 2016 so they burned through almost all of the shelf life. I assume that one of the bars was unsafe to eat because of the vacuum seal failure. Just sent it back. The product is great, but inventory management is poor.

👤I would love to give five stars. I contacted the seller to let them know I got 2 out of 10. It's been a week and no word back. The service was poor. Poor product. A few of mine were not labeled with an expiration date. This seems to happen a bit. If you're looking for 25 year shelf life, buy from someone else. I don't like to rely on these in an emergency.

👤Half of the packages are not strong. I don't know how long they last with air circulation. I have every reason to believe that half of them would last longer than five years. Half of them are not. I have to vacuum seal five of them because I have to finish the job on half.

👤The taste is not bad for what it is. It's pretty good like shortbread with a hint of lemon. They need to ship it better because the packaging is not strong. I ordered a set for myself and two friends, not my specialty. Each had at least one that the packaging was not long air tight. The bar is good, but they need to not just throw them in with no padding in the box. It might not be the biggest deal, considering the bulk I ordered, but nothing about how it was handled or the situation that may not happen in smaller batches, or replacement batches for the damaged one, should be taken into account.

9. Rations Emergency 3600 Calorie Food

Rations Emergency 3600 Calorie Food

Party light, all night: 100% safe, longer-lasting party favors: National days, Halloween, Christmas, birthday party, concert, and sports games. If their glow sticks have a shortage of glow time, they will give you a 100% refund. Most customers buy more than one pack and give it to their friends and family. The package contains 3600 calories per package. The US Coast Guard has been approved.

Brand: Sos Food Labs, Inc.

👤I received one that wasn't sealed, after seeing other reviews about faulty packaging. I was going to open it to see if I liked it before buying more. The foil was folded and cracked because of the vacuum seal against the inner bars. The foil is thick and has a plastic layer inside that makes a good seal. The foil and plastic is very hard to open and it was difficult to open the package with the tear notch. I got a knife to open the package the rest of the way because I was a strong guy. The bars are the same size as your off the shelf bars. They are wrapped with thin plastic and wouldn't trust it to hold in crumbs. Take small bites and chew completely according to the directions. The coconut flavor is strong, as others have said. The texture is like oily corn meal. The oil isn't overwhelming, it's just so that you don't dry out your mouth. The bar is a bit hard, but the crumbs fall off when you bite into it. I wouldn't want to eat these often, but they are for emergency purposes. They would taste like a juicy steak if I were really hungry. When you're starving, taste is ok, but watch out for punctured seal, it's used for when you're not going for regular meals.

👤It was much smaller than I expected. It was surprisingly good. Not great, but good. It was like an off-brand cookie. It's very sweet, but I can't handle much more than a bite of the cookie bar. I drink water to cut the sweet taste. A point or sharp edge is required to pierce the tough packaging. I would be happy to eat this in an emergency situation and it is small enough to fit in a backpack or a boat. I have verified that I could live with eating them, so I'm going to get more for my kit. Purchasing this is a wise choice and you won't regret it when you are stuck in your car during a white out, without supplies after a Hurricane, or stranded on a dead boat at sea.

👤The S.O.S 3600 Calorie Food Bar had the greatest packaging and was one of the major emergency food ration bars. The mylar packaging is tough and tightly sealed. We dropped a full package from a four story building onto a sidewalk and it held up without cracking or penetrating the packaging. The package was put in salt water for seven days and six nights and it tasted like it was in the ocean. We tasted it for five days in the cold and snow. If you leave it in the environment for a year or so, it won't have that new taste, so it's made to be stored and provided in case of an emergency. The food is seperated into nine bars in which each is packaged in plastic once you open the mylar packaging. They have a cinnamon - coconut cookie flavor to them and are very good, they are a survival food that is good what more can you ask for. The food is not bad and it will not dry out your mouth when you eat it, so you can live longer without food than you can without water. The shelf life of this product is five years, which is great because of the ideal storage conditions. This product is great for your home survival kit or vehicle emergency kit as they are heavy for a backpack. We will purchase more of these in the future.

10. Stansport 366 Emergency Food Bar

Stansport 366 Emergency Food Bar

The Apple Cinnamon Flavour: APPLE CINNAMON. Provides needed nutrition while enjoying the food. The bar has a delicious apple cinnamon flavor. 20 food bar ration for the whole family. 3 days supply of 3,600 calories. It is hydrated and not thirsty. The U.S. Coast Guard approved. Emergency ration food bar.

Brand: Stansport

👤The item I received was over a year old and was made to last 5 years. If you're going to sell a product that has already been used up, you should specify that.

👤Simple ingredients. There are ration bars in the pack. When the wrap on a single portion is opened, it is like a very very biscuit. The taste is similar to a cracker. It was a good value for an experiment to try ration bars.

👤One bar will keep you hungry for 6 hours. Enough time to eat.

👤The packaging is terrible. The outer part is not bad. The inside is worse. Each bar is wrapped. It seems like they are easy to open. They are supposed to unwrap easily because the plastic is wrapped around it and sealed on 2 ends so you can open it. But... It's difficult to find that opening because they were vacuumed in. 1/2 The bar breaks up inside when it doesn't open the way it should. The bar is so dry that it will fall apart if you get it out in one piece. A lot of the bar can be wasted. The taste is not as good as other bars.

👤I haven't tried the product because I purchased it as emergency ration. The 5 year shelf life is a selling point. The product I received was almost half of the shelf life of the product I received. It was manufactured in May 2012 and expires in May 2017:

👤Can't expect much, but there if needed.

👤Not terrible. It's good for storing away as it has a long shelf life and is well packed.

👤I could blow on it and watch it fall apart into powder, and have a drink with it.

Also, note: When the oxygen has been removed, bags may not shrink like vacuum bags. Absorbers only absorb 21% of the air, which is oxygen. The air volume will be gone about 1/3 of the time. The apple-cinnamon flavor is pleasant. It is easy to store an optimal balance of cholesterol and vitamins. Each bar can be eaten in six portions with a total of 2400 calories.

Brand: Ultimate Survival Technologies

👤You should ignore anyone who reviews this on the basis of how it tastes. This is not a camping or hiking snack. When you find yourself trapped in the wilderness or in your own home after a disaster, survival ration tastes bland or bad to discourage excessive eating. These taste ok. It was kind of a cinnamon shortbread. For its intended use, texture and quality are fine. I have received 6 of these packages so far and all of them have been sealed perfectly. I put a second layer of vacuum plastic over my survival food to protect it from accidental puncturing and to extend its lifespan. If you get any that have a vacuum loss, just eat it or throw it away. Poor handling in transit or a minor factory defect are the reasons why they're not worth a 1 star review. The calories come out to $.001 per calories. I've been searching for and buying long term storage emergency ration for over a decade and never have I found a better price in the market. Put these in a box in the back of a closet and then buy a bunch of canned and dry foods for your "shtf" meals. These calories are not a meal replacement. To make sure you're getting something resembling real sustenance, keep a bottle of multi vitamins, a few gallons of water, and a couple pounds of freeze dried potatoes or rice nearby. I'm up to 15. I haven't had a single issue with them losing vacuum. Don't let bad luck deter you from purchasing these. If you keep buying these low cost alternatives, the price gougers will start lowering their prices.

👤It appears to be a single pack.

👤The product is not accurate. One pack is not 4 days of food, but one day of food. This product has a shelf life of 5 years and will last 2 years. I am angry with the seller for misrepresenting the product. I would love to have my money back. I could shop locally and find a better deal.

👤We thought we were getting a box of four, not one bar. The image showed four. Since that time, it has changed. The price for 4 seems reasonable. The cost for one is out of line. The product was useless because of the broken vacuum seal. The bars are good for emergency food. We've bought them from local retailers before. The experience of this seller was not great.

👤I ordered 8 boxes and got 8 bars that were not a good value and the bars were good but not at this price.

👤The vacuum seal wasn't intact. The company uses an illustration that shows 4 packages. Caveat emptor is not for purchase.

👤Any type of emergency food is very expensive. These single packs are also selling other places for $20+ each. Also. For $5, you get 2400 calories and a 5 year shelf life, which is a good deal for something that you can just open and eat. You can get these from Wal-mart for five cents cheaper than Amazon will charge, but you have to order four of them. It's a very dense bread type bar. More powdery than bread, like gingerbread. It tastes like a sweet dessert with a hint of cinnamon. It's not something I'd go out of my way to snack on, but it tastes good and is similar to a dense bar. It doesn't taste bad like other emergency ration bars that taste like chemicals or gross. There are some that are my favorite for taste and price. It's worth $5 to have a car glove box and all your backpacks. Just in case. If you break it into the six 400 calories sections, you'll get one of these.
