👤The food in the bag has a 5 year shelf life. July of 2020 is when the water expires. If the food and water were to last for 5 years, this bag would not work in the car. I was not happy with the contents.

👤I bought this in 2012 and it has expired. The items are easy to replace. Everything can be purchased separately at your local retail store for a lower price. If you don't have anything, this is a great starting point. The basics are taken care of. The pack has some of the most basic supplies that an average person would need. This isn't a one-time purchase, so you have to forget it. If you have special medical needs, child needs, pet needs, etc, you need to gut the backpack, get a decent backpack, and put these items in along with your other personal items. Some items that could be added to this would be tools, knives, medications, clothes, water filter, radio, phone charger, and so on. There are a lot of videos and articles on surviving a catastrophic event online. Pick your most comfortable level of readiness because some are more extreme than others. Again, this kit should be the base of a larger set of gear that should be portable and easy to grab and go for a few days when the stuff really hits the fan. My wife's car trunk has held this backpack for the past few years. I took it out to replace some items and it broke when I pulled on the zippers. The backpack isn't meant to last very long. I exercise, but the way these snapped off made me feel like I had to check my drink for steroids.

👤The masks in these packs are dust masks.

👤I buy a backpack for my cars, work, and home every 5 years. I am very disappointed that this supply kit has first aid kits with an expired date. I tried to contact the company to get a replacement first aid kit, but I am not getting any help. I will not purchase from this company again.

👤I ordered this for my family to keep in the truck. Not bad for the price, but overpriced. There were 3 leaking boxes of water and 2 open food ration bags when the water was delivered. The bottom of the box fell out when it was delivered. The bag was wet because of the water. You would probably be better off building your own bag for your family. I would recommend military surplus stores.

👤When the power went out during the April snow storm, my wife was worried about being prepared. It will be nice to have an emergency pack loaded and ready to go, since we live and use a lot of the items in the bag, but we don't always have enough groceries in the house to last us a long time. This pack is basic and probably not bad, mostly because it's fairly expensive and likely the hood of it will be used in my case. I'm not out much. We had to make the bag more useful in an emergency after I went through all of the items. I would consider economy items in the included items. It will suit the need when you have nothing else. The construction of the bag seems to be of 'O.K.' and it doesn't look like it's going to fall in a closet. The bag is small and not as big as a normal school bag. Additional ponchos, pocket knife, hand sanitizer, more basic first aid items, hand warmers, flash lights, and two way radios were added.

Brand: Lifestraw

👤You should get a Sawyer-Mini. I have used both on camping trips. You need steel jaws to suck water. If you use a Sawyer or other filters with pump/squeeze action, you won't have to rip out your filling. You have to lie on the ground, and other filters have a straw if the pouch breaks. You need to watch actual videos of people who use these frequently before voting down this post. Everyone uses a pump or squeeze method of filtration. Lifestraws are a great idea, but it is hard to use.

👤I am sorry to have the first one be so negative but the life straw was a total and utter disappointment. I bought it for my daughter to go to Mexico with strict instructions to not drink anything without the life straw. Had she followed my instructions she would have died of dehydration. We followed the instructions from the video to soak it, but we couldn't get any water to come through it. It was too late to return to Amazon and I did not receive a reply when I contacted Life Straw. Too bad. I was going to have one for each family member to have in an emergency pack. I will not do that after this experience.

👤This thing is serious. I went backpacking on Maine's Bigelow range. I ran out of water when I brought it. Bring a wide mouth bottle and fill it with water. I drank from the most disgusting looking hole on top of a lower peak. I thought it would be safe, but it wasn't. Wrong. It tasted like fresh spring water. Better than a tap. I'm from Maine, and I've tasted plenty of water from the mountain springs. It can be difficult to start. You have to prove it by soaking. Blow into it if it still doesn't work. Everyone should have a bug-out bag in case of a civil war, because the world seems to have gone mad.

👤If you don't clear the water after each use, the water will seize up. I didn't run a gallon through either of the break I had.

👤I dropped it from my mouth to the countertop and it stopped working, which is ridiculous. There was no impact at all. It is dangerous to have a water source out in the woods if it can't take an impact. This bad review is solely about that fact.

👤I've used these in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Works as advertised. The system is safe to use. When we deploy, we use it as a standard procedure to have one in everyone's room. It's called Semper Fi.

👤I drank from a steam. I have become a hippie. I'm in a transformation.

👤We got what we ordered. I've used this product before in Afghanistan, and I'm happy with it.

👤The price was right, so I wanted to get one for a while. The water out of the Lake of Two Mountains tasted good and did not have any ill effects.

Brand: Hikenture

👤We camp a lot. We have slept on the ground, used yoga mats, lugged big air mattresses and pumps, and even tried those expensive thin self-inflating pads. This is the winner of all of them. The yoga mats are too thin, the big air mattresses transfer too much movement from one person to the other, and the self-inflating pads don't offer enough cushion. This sleeping pad shocks is both, it is affordable, super comfortable, and for side sleepers, thin enough that it doesn't have insulation issues, and it stays inflated until you let the air out. I'm not sure why people think it's hard to pump up with your foot, unless you're an idiot, lazy, or a paraplegic. We didn't need a manual or a video to figure out you step on the picture of a foot. We added this to our camping gear.

👤I wanted to share some pictures of the mattress for those who would find it useful. I will update my review after a couple camping trips. I replaced my 6” thick memory foam mattress with this mat because it would get so hot. How well an air mattress holds up over time will be determined. I found it to fit in the back of my 2012 RAV4. It inflates around my gear. It's best for two sleeping bags, but it's also good for a 3 person tent. I will likely use this to replace my single pad. It can be inflated with an electric pump, but cannot be deflated with an electric pump. It can only be deflated manually. The rubber fabric of the mattress is much thinner than a regular air mattress, but it is coated with rip stop nylon which will make it more resistant. I tried to deflate it with the pump, but it just sucked up the fabric, leaving no air. I was able to deflate it manually in a few minutes. The option to remove all air with the pump is missing. I will update after breaking it. I am optimistic so far.

👤We used this on a camping trip. It is comfortable, it inflates as described, deflates quickly, and packs up well, so it fits in a small bag without a problem. We have ultra-light pads for backpacking that are much more comfortable, and it is nice to have it wide so that people can easily sleep on it, without fear of falling off. I don't like backpacking because I like to keep light, but for car camping or short hike-in trips it's nice. The integrated foot pump is a clever design, but it will take 5 minutes to work, best done after the first beer but before the second;-) I was surprised by how firm the pad was. I needed to let the air out to make it comfortable. There was no leak.

👤This may be my favorite purchase to date. We ordered this to be used for lightweight backpacking, but we ended up using it every time we camp! It is lightweight and compact, but it has not lost any air while we slept. It's worth more than our traditional air-pumped rubber mattress because of that aspect. It is nice to not have to carry an air pump. I was a little skeptical of the foot "sponge" at first, but it does a great job inflating the mattress, and it's always nice to need less gear. We are camping. We use the Ohuhu Double Sleeping Bag to have more warmth. In the spring and summer we have been warm, with the coldest night being 25F. The mattress is narrow enough for us to use car camping. It fit in the back of the Lexus. We spend at least 2 full minutes of our trip talking about how we love this mattress.

👤The package arrived two days later than expected but luckily it was on time. Birthday gift. The package and case is nice, but there is no Guide to explain some of the things. Most things are obvious, but it would be nice if there was an explanation. Disappointed.

👤This would be a nice little kit. Not a survival at all. Has a couple good features but would hate to die on this one.

👤My husband had a star on his birthday. I don't blame him for unpacking each item with oohs and ahs, like it came out of a bag after a party. This kit is awesome. The price for the two-dozen or so items inside seems reasonable. There are so many stars.

👤The kids had a great time opening this one, it had many discussion worthy pieces.

👤The pen exploded with ink. It has to be thrown away.

Brand: Sleepingo

👤After updating my review, I started getting daily emails from shady-looking, freshly generated accounts that are asking me to take my review down and offer to pay me cash. I gave them two stars because of their customer service, but I don't like doing business with companies like this. There was an update on 8-13-21. I upgraded my son from a closed-cell therm-a-rest to this pad after a year of use. We have had three failures in the last ten months. There were two leaks on the pad fabric, but in places where a patch wouldn't stay, the third failure was on the valve. It was disappointing. It worked well when it worked. I am a heavy side-sleeper. I didn't realize a design flaw until after it started leaking and I had to re-inflate the pad multiple times a night. The inflate/deflate valve is not in the best place. The bottom of the pad is at the foot end. In the middle of the night, I would have to get off the pad, crawl to the bottom and inflate. When it held air, valve placement was not an issue. Sleepingo's credit, after the initial failure, they sent me a replacement. They insisted on issuing a full-refund when that replacement and my son failed as well. They made me whole, so no hard feelings. Since I want reliable gear and good sleep, it's best that I find a better pad. The customer support is great and I'm giving them two stars. I'm an Eagle Scout that took a break from camping for a few decades and am now getting back into it with my son. I have upgraded to a Big Agnes long/wide sleeping bag. I thought it would be a good time to upgrade from a foam ridgerest to a nice inflatable sleeping pad since I'm a few years older and a few pounds heavier. There is a I'm a side-sleeper with 220 lbs and don't want to bottom out Small/light enough to take backpacking, so I narrowed it down to the Sleepingo and the K. I ordered both pads with the plan to return whichever I didn't like. The Sleepingo arrived first and my first thought was, "damn, this thing is paper thin, it's never going to hold up." I realized that it had to be very thin in order for it to be small and light. The fabric seems to be very tough. The inflate hole is simple and effective. The rubber flap is held in place by the pressure of the air inside, with a plug that covers the hole. I counted the number of breaths, but it took eight before I could add more air. The Klymit Static V had a more complicated fill valve. The Sleepingo had some disadvantages such as not as good R-value, lack of name brand recognition, and lifetime warranty doesn't matter if the company is gone. The Sleepingo was made harder to push the air out when rolling up because of the many chambers of the Klymit. I will update this post if anything changes.

6. CVLIFE Tactical Military Backpack Rucksacks

CVLIFE Tactical Military Backpack Rucksacks

The backpack is made of 600D(900X600) high density Polyester. One main large compartment, one front bag, two side bags, and one flag patch can be used in a military backpack. This backpack can be considered a 50L and 60L backpack. There is an extra large capacity, plenty of rooms for laptop, survival and hiking gear, and plenty of separate compartments to organize your essentials. The military molle backpack rucksack has a molle system that allows you to easily attach outdoor gear, more bags and sleeping pad.

Brand: Cvlife

👤The product is not bullet proof, but it deserves a 5 star rating. My expectations were not set high because of the low price. I was going to use the bag for local day hikes, but I liked how the bag was set up. I didn't need high durability. The thin shoulder straps made me most concerned with comfort. I was pleasantly surprised when I got this pack. I thought the fabric would be strong. Time will tell if the plastic buckles are strong. I was very happy with all the different pockets and accesses in the pack. I don't like the design of the ruck sack. I don't understand what reviewers are saying about the pack being small. The pack holds enough gears for a day or two in the bush. I gave it a keep try-out to see how it works. I took it out for an hour hike after fully filling it up and getting all the adjustments I wanted. It was very comfortable, so I was not concerned about the shoulder straps. I am very happy with this product and will be updating this review.

👤Tired of negative reviews. This backpack is very good. It cost about 40 dollars. Some packs cost more than $200. Don't buy this and leave a negative review because it isn't as good as a $250 pack. That's right. This is a great deal. The pack is large. I saw a review that said it wasn't 50L. There are 3 additional small packs that are detaching. It is very changeable. The pack is solid. There are threads that are sticking out of the stiching. Extra thread sticking out didn't affect the pack. Another review stated that the zippers were noisy. It's a pack of 40. If you need a pack of more than $200 you can get it. This is a great deal if you want a pack that is big, decent and customizable.

👤I am not a fan of this backpack. I wanted to like it because of its big manly zippers and lots of pockets and storage options. I didn't know whether to cry or be angry after a dozen or so buckle strap pops, random strap slips, sown parts coming loose, and $500 worth of survival gear is lost. This was only two outings in this gear. I will wear this backpack again. I don't want you to purchase this gear until the issues I mentioned have been fixed. I was excited when I received this backpack because it had a lot of pockets and storage options. I am a pocket guy, and this backpack was great. I could fit an extra change of clothes, a gallon of water, a survival tent and supplies, a few days ration, climbing gear, hunting accessories and more. It has a lot of options on it, and can be clipped onto one of the outside strap hoops to add or subtract gear. It looks good. It looks as far as that goes. On my first outing, I had a shoulder strap slide out of the adjustment buckle, which was the first time I slung the pack over my shoulder. I didn't know this was a sign of things to come. The strap was slippery enough that I realized it could be done easily if you changed the way the straps came by default. I had my waist strap break after I made the necessary changes. I had not even walked a mile in it when I got there, and I didn't have the buckle that tight! I went with the shoulders and chest strap. You would think I had learned from that first trip. I had had additional straps pop at random times, and I realized my medpac portion was missing when we returned to the mountain. There was a high end survival flashlight, a new radio and all my emergency/survival gear that went with it. I double check my straps before I head out. I know it wasn't due to forgetfulness. What in the world? There is a huge problem with these straps. I've never experienced it with snap buckle types. This was the second time I have worn this pack, and I have seen nothing like this before. You will lose your stuff if you get a pack like mine. You have to carry a backpack with your hands instead of your back. Don't buy if you're warned.

Sturdy material. The tactical medical backpack is made of 500D Cordura nylon and YKK Zippers material. The nylon fabric is very strong. The backpack's frame is rigidity allows it to fit on your back and hold the contents. There is a rational compartment layout. Blocks of the multiple pockets design keep things separate. There are three nylon pouches with different handles, four grid compartments, elastic band slots, and nylon holders in the interior of the main bag. The front of the building. The cutting is neatly shown in the two parts. The design is ergonomics. The bag was made for comfort. The shoulder straps have soft padded materials to reduce your burden, mesh padding on the back makes it softer against your back, and there is a waist straps around the waist to keep the bag from bouncing while walking. The system is called the moo system. When you need to carry more gear, this tactical backpack has the tactical feature with heavy-duty MOLLE webbings in the front and side walls for attaching a variety of optional pouches, accessories, and modular tactical gear. There is multifunctional use. It can be used for a variety of different outfits and casual styles. Climbing, camping, cycling, hiking, biking, boating, adventure, military and other outdoor sports activities are included.

Brand: Excellent Elite Spanker

👤I'm a combat medic in the US Army and I look for gear that is high standards for myself and my family, because I've set some high standards for myself. I usually run with a large med bag that fits in my feet, because it's big enough to fit things that I need for an average day in the field. I was looking for something larger to keep with me. I don't like spending more than I have to because I'm in the military and going to school. I thought it would be great to patrol with this Aid bag. When it arrived at my house, I gave my eyes a look for the first time and realized it wouldn't work in its current form. elastic retention is present in the front quick access panel. I take full responsibility for the fact that I didn't realize that the loops where you would typically mount tourniquets are too small in some cases. I keep my stethoscope and surgical role in the top pouch because those are the only loops in the entire pack that are adequate to keep them from flying around my pack. I will give credit where credit is due, and it was very smart and clever of the designer to allow the pack to almost be completely flat in it's open form. The flap that makes up the entire pack has a few places that are not used often, for example, the pistol carriers that take up the top portion of the flap, and the small pouch that holds t3c cards. I would like to see that improved in a future generation of the pack because I have a gripe about the zip pouch on the insides only extending as far down as the mesh shows. If I were designing a aid bag, I would use every square inch of available space to mount medical gear or even something as simple as a sharpie. The main part of the pack has two side sections that are zip up. If you look at the pack as if it were hanging on a wall, the left side is entirely elastic retention straps which are too tight to even hold a Ace wrap without the plastic ripping around it and some instances I have torn open curlex just trying to hold it. If you think about the bag hanging and you move to the right side, you will see two pouch, one with Band-Aids and the other with gloves. The new iteration of this pack would be great if it had a full length zip along the back of the pouch so that you could carry a Sam splint or two when folded up and neatly. I have grievances that I can come to terms with. If anyone claims to fit anything in the middle section of the pouch, they should not be trusted because it is so small. If you buy a dinner first, you can fit three tourniquets in it. This is the case for the rest of the pouch. I would like to see them increase in width and depth so that I could fit a pocket BVM, which is a fantastic product. Taking the pouch out of my aid bag and sticking them where they should be is a solution I have found. If you worked for the American Red Cross and wanted to look cool, this would be the pack for you, however you would have to use it for a while. That wouldn't save your street cred. I use the elite spanker brand almost exclusively and I think it's a fantastic brand. I don't like the idea of this pack being branded as a aid bag, as I think it is trying to appeal to too many different walks of life, but I would buy it if they made the improved version even cheaper. If you would like me to help you design a better version of this pack, feel free to reach out to me as I will even work for free when it is something I enjoy. John Warren, with love from your most loved and critical whiskey.

Brand: Emdmak

👤The bag is still going strong 15 months later. I see some reviews where the bag didn't hold up, maybe they have some quality control issues where some weren't as good as the one I received. I don't know. I will tell you that my house is very well built. I don't regret the purchase at all. It is a very sturdy backpack. Five months in of daily use is still as good as new. I will be ordering a second one because they lowered the price on the black one and the others are still more expensive. The bag is a steal at $30 and you can find better value elsewhere. Three months in, still holding up well. The backpack is durable and rugged. A quick note after reading a review. The bag is shrink wrapped for protection, so it will take some use before it fills out and looks like the pictures. However, I now look just like the picture. I went to buy a second one and they raised the price by over 30% since I got mine. It's disappointing but it doesn't affect my rating of the product. Before I bought this, I searched for a while. I wanted something that could hold a lot of space. There are many similar backpacks on Amazon. I'm assuming the pattern has been taken by many different Chinese manufacturers and copied and recopied with different levels of quality. I read reviews to make sure I got a good bag as this one will be used a lot. This review doesn't speak to the longevity of the product, but I am very happy with it, and I have been using it for a week. It is large and holds everything I need. The material seems to be very strong. Multiple compartments for organization is what it has. The backpack had a thicker waist belt in order to take the weight off the shoulders. There are two small pockets for wallet, keys, gum, and other items in the waist belt. It has a smaller chest strap to keep the shoulder straps in place. I'm very happy with it right now. I will update the review if things change. There is a There were a couple of bonuses that weren't listed in the description. It also comes with a little pouch for the water bottle. It came with a credit card shaped multitool. I'm not sure how useful it is, but it was free.

👤The bag had torn the zippers. I've been reading reviews of the Chinese companies that make these tactical bags. Some mentioned the string zippers, which seemed promising. Far from it! Every other one is the same. Don't go to a store that takes a lot of time. It was almost the same price but with much better quality. How do they get 2000+ reviews? Can't be right. Just can't be.

👤I was hesitant to buy this bag. The price of the tactical backpacks is higher than the other ones. You shouldn't be! This backpack has everything. It is better than I anticipated. The bag is large. The Lifeproof case has an S9 in it. It was shrink wrapped. It's right for my needs and has a lot of space left.

👤Thank you for reading my review. I bought this because of my skinny son and all of the other reviews from "scout" parents, but I have a lot of packs in my shed. I didn't need this first. Here is why I did. My son joined the Boy Scouts after crossing over from Cub Scouts. Not a pack fit his waist. At the time, 23 years ago. I bought all these cool ones a long time ago. Nope, it's too big. My son is now a 26 1/2 waist after crossing over and this pack fit him like butter. The website states the waist belt is 26” at the smallest, but I believe it is 25” Completely sold on this element. This is the right bag for the price point and size, not having to go a woman's bag or over $200. Quality is second. The bag is of good quality. Not the top of the line. This bag is of excellent quality and it has a price point that will appeal to the average 11 year old. Parents should pre check every thread, button, snap, and zip up prior to use. I am just saying. You need to market this product for them. I have been a leader for 5 years and frequent shopper at the scout shops. We need products like this. Give it a try. For the boys who may have a mild dose of scoliosis or have not hit that critical growth spurt yet, this is it. I am not a doctor, but if you are going to put a pack on a child, this is the one. I think this pack will last a long time in scouts. The straps are in the right places. The exterior space of a 55L pack is just as valuable. Thank you for the product. I received this product in excellent packaging, but one button was damaged. I am not exchanging it. I still rate it 5 stars. You made my son's ego bigger with this pack. This is a scout mom review. There is a lot of room for everything.

👤There is a lot of room. Able to fit three litter hydro packs. It's easy to put on.

👤I took this thing on a week long trip through India, where it was strapped to the back of a motorcycle as I rode through the healayas. It was easy to put over when the rainfly poured on us. The pack was packed to the brim and strapped down hard every day and came out without a scratch. I've used it on multiple hikes and hunting trips through thick brush and I've packed out over 200 lbs of venison in the mountains of Utah and Washington. I put it through the washer to get rid of the blood and it came out new. The only wear I've seen is a couple of threads that are loose on the bottom, but it doesn't affect the pack at all. It has already outlived its price. It needs to have enough life to redo everything I've already done with it. It's a great size, great price, and great for carry-on, it's light when empty, and it has a zip up pocket for more protection. Even with a lot of meat, it's pretty comfortable. Mountain Dew is well held. I wish the waist fabric things were the smaller size, as I don't keep it buckled in very often and they get in the way if I forget to buckle them behind the pack. I didn't get delicious bacon. One of the drink holders is smaller than the other, making it more difficult to get a large bottle in it. It's hard to put it in one hand while it's on my back, but the other pocket is easier. I wish I had left the bars in when I washed them, they are hard to get back in. I had to hold my hand on the inside to guide them past the material inside the frame pocket.

👤I add one of the tents to my back pack because I am a member of CERT. My son came upon a wreck. I only had one emergency blanket. There were two people in one car and one in the other. The tent was used to keep the man warm. I need to order 2 more soon. Thank you.

👤I would like to point out how lite this is. It is almost completely weightless in my hand. Very happy with that aspect. It is not true that it is durable enough for multiple use. The product is done. It stretches to the point of wrinkling into worthlessness. When stretched, it gets very thin. I can't imagine setting it up and rolling it around on the inside with no cushion between you and the hard ground would make this fabric mangle over night. That being said. It is an emergency option. I want it to work once. I would buy a new one if I ever needed it. The stuff sack is very large for me. I bought the tent and bivi from a life tent. There was enough room for an Altoids tin fire kit in the stuff sack. This gives you shelter, warmth and fire. Also allows you to cook food with a metal cup and ward off unwanted guests at night. I think it is a great product. This is a one time use, save your life product.

👤If you put a trash bag or two into a bag, it would be better. The cheapest products were high quality. This is for people who want a false sense of security and never look at the products they buy. I would steer clear of it.

👤This is a sheet of plastic that is thinner than mylar and has a piece of string added to it. It is in a pouch. If you really want one of these, you can either buy a piece of string or a sheet of mylar and make one yourself.

👤I was under the impression that this would be a higher quality material. It isn't the case. The tent is just as thin and frail as a standard blanket. I should have spent more money on a nicer one. It comes with rope and it will keep me warm.

👤I haven't had to use this, and I hope that I don't have to in the future. It is a great addition to a camping bag. It would be great to have a taping off so that it can keep wind out.

👤My son and I were so excited to purchase this tent in case of an emergency that it would save our lives. We went to the woods to set up our tent after we received our package. There was a light breeze that day and the tent was blowing and whipping around. After some work, we were able to set up our tent. I noticed a puncture hole in the side of my tent as I entered the tent to see how warm it would be. I stuck my finger in the hole to see if it was a hole, because on the product information on the website it says the tent is impervious to puncture and tear. My finger went through the hole and became even bigger. The tent is very thin. You can see the black bear coming when he runs out of the woods. We know about the dangers of wild life because we live in the woods. When we set up this tent, the wind blew it up into some trees and it looked like a garbage bag had fallen into the tree branches. I think it would be better if you wrapped yourself in a garbage bag and just bought a tent to keep you warm. This is not a real emergency tent, it is a tent that you can set up in your backyard for your daughter to use as a shade from the sun at her tea party. The tent would make a good welcome mat at the front door so guests can wipe their shoes off before entering. If the ship got into a disaster, the tent would be a good emergency flag. If you were on a long family vacation and couldn't find a restroom, this tent would be better used as a pair of emergency pants. If you fall off of your cruise ship vacation raft, it would be a great emergency raft. The tent should be sold as the number one portable on the go emergency sleeping bag/ body bag. Don't die in the woods, remember everyone.

👤I bought this for my upcoming trip to Costa Rica and wanted something that would probably get wet. The backpack was in great condition when it arrived. The quality was better than expected. Just like me, Rugged and good looking. This was definitely not a cheap knock-off, but a well made military-style backpack. I will buy a waterproof bag for the interior to make sure everything stays dry. The pack was advertised as water and tear- resistant and cute. There is a * When I return from the jungle, I will update my review. There is a method for this. I am back and the backpack worked out great. I didn't know that it was extendable, but that feature really came in handy. I used this as my carry-on item and it wouldn't fit under the seat on the plane because I overfilled it. I packed it all away. I never made it to the jungle.

👤One guy wrote a bag that was waterproof but got wet and it was States that was water resistant and better than most backpack I've had. Through my hydration pack and other things.

👤If I stop at the store, I use an old backpack that I wear when I ride my motorcycle. The dust bit it. I wanted a cheap backpack to replace it. I ordered it because it seemed cheap and the right size. I was amazed when it showed up. I wanted a cheap backpack. This thing is amazing. The quality is topnotch. The details are amazing. There is more than what is listed in the description. They don't mention that it has a compartment for a water bladder. I think they don't mention it because of patent issues. There are so many high end details, like the zippers that have little holes in them so they can be locked with a small padlock. I think I'm not realizing the right way to use some of the features without some kind of instructions. How they can sell a backpack at this price is beyond me. It would be $200+ if this was the same thing that Camelbak was selling.

👤I like the backpack. It has a lot of space and can be expanded. Without the expanded panel, it's a lot of storage, but it's huge with the expanded panel. It has internal straps to keep your items safe. There is a hydration slot for your laptop in the back compartment. The material is strong and water resistant. I don't think it's waterproof because of all the stitching. The backpack is comfortable to wear and the top handle is convenient. There are only 2 small issues. The small front pouch's zippers tend to stick. It seems to have trouble going around the small turns, but one of the legs sticks on a straight run. The teeth have been lubricated with a teflon oil and a zipp stick. It improved the smoothness of the zipper, but it still sticks a little here and there. The backpack I brought last year has the same issue. I have a 20-year old backpack from Jansport with a nylon zip and it runs very smooth from the first day, even though I am not sure what the problem is with zippers these days. The backpack has larger teeth than the Jansport zipper. Maybe that's the cause. There are two more The mesh water bottle holder has a compression strap on the right side. The pictures are attached. If your water bottle is a disposable crush-able type, you lose the use of the bottom third of the mesh bottle holder, so your water bottle may stick out the top a bit. Do you really want to loosen the strap every time you want to get a drink of water? I would recommend the backpack to anyone looking for a backpack. There is a lot of capacity and features.
