Sawyer Products SP2101 Filtration System

Attaches to hydration packs, disposable water bottles, or straws to drink directly from your water source. The removal of allbacteria and the removal of all protozoa removes 100% of microplastics. Two Sawyer MINI filters, two 16-ounce squeeze pouches, two 7-inch drinking straws, and two cleaning plungers are included.

Brand: Sawyer Products

👤The two pack for my twins was ordered because they were recommended by several sources. We were excited to use them on our trip because they were lightweight and solid. The boys had to abandon their trip due to the lack of ability to filter water after they filled up the plastic pouch for the first time. We returned the Minis because they were so disappointed, and we will keep looking for a lightweight filter that will last.

👤The key selling feature was the compatibility with Smart Water bottles. I bought the Minu two-pack off Amazon, and the first one I opened was not close to the threads of standard water bottles. I got a new Mini at Walmart and it had the correct thread. I am not sure how you can tell what thread pitch you will get.

👤I got two for my section hike. I'm glad I got 2. One failed on the third day. The washer on the dirty side failed and would leak dirty water when squeezed. I would like to return. I wasn't going to leave a broken filter at a camp ground. Get more bags. Ours was leaking. I didn't get sick because of the quality of the filters.

👤These little guys seem to work well and are portable. They don't survive well in storage after being used once. I've had 4 of these be useless after they've been stored. I only ever backflush the mountain creek water with softened and reverse osmosis-filtered water after a trip. It's not usable when I test it for the next trip. If it doesn't flow, it will require much more squeezing force. I don't know how to store them better than buying distilled water, and it seems wasteful to keep buying them if they are going to fail. The first squeeze bag was a lot thicker than the newer one. The newer ones blow apart at a seam.

👤When drinking from outside water sources, it has an amazing taste. Good flow rate, easy to use bag, super easy to use. Not rated for removal of chemicals or metals from the water, but no illness after drinking from a stream in a wildlife-laden area. I would like to be able to leave the water in the car when not in use in the winter because it is difficult to clean out the remaining water in the filter.

👤We moved to a house with a well last year. Our well water gets a little cloudy when we get a lot of rain. We have had it tested multiple times and it is safe to drink but the cloudiness is not appealing so we have started to filter. The water came out cloudy despite using a Big Berkey. Even with 4 primed filters and a process to clean and backwash, it's slow. We were buying gallons of water and it was getting expensive. We woke up to cloudy water after a big storm yesterday. I put a squeeze bag full of it in the mini sawyer and it came out the other side crystal clear. I am very happy with this little, easy to use filter. I emptied the top of the fridge and filled it with jars of water. I bought them for hiking and travel, but we will use them at home too. They will pay for themselves many times over when compared to the amount of water they purchase. 5 stars for sure!

Sawyer Products SP160 One Gallon Dual Threaded

Easily create a gravity-based water filter system with a Sawyer MINI water filter. 100% of MINI units individually tested three times to performance standards were tested with the high-performance 0.1 Micron absolute inline filter. Brand: Sawyer Products

👤You don't need a water filter to make tap water drinkable, these things are for backpacking. There are a couple of things that happen when you do that. silt is going to be in your dirty bag at least a bit. You know that a dirty bag has unsafe water in it, and that it is waiting to ruin your night by tainting your clean water. I don't backpack where I have a table to lay this thing on, but I do backpack where I have a backpack. I need to hang it and the only way to do that is with a thong through the carrying handle and around the tree trunk or branch. That works great, and even leaves the output hose "port" a little higher than the filler port, which gives silt a place to settle. If you're using the Sawyer Mini filter, you should always allow dirty water to sit for at least 10 minutes. It would be easy to include a high-flow cone-type filter that stuck up into the dirty bag, held in place by the outlet hose attachment, if they sold a pre-filter for this. I put a bandanna over the hole before putting on the cap. It worked, but not perfect. You have a bag hanging down with a hose. There was dirty water on itself. If you read the instructions and don't get completely out of water, you'll be able to rinse off the components before using them. The pull-to-open drinking valve outputs the filter's output. This is not ideal. The filter is heavy and hard to "aim" into, so it falls on the end of the hose. The water is being thrown around wasted. If you're sharing this system, you don't want to use your mouth to open the valve, but it takes a lot more force to open than a bottle. Once you open it, you have to use a dirty mouth or hand to close it again, or lift it up above the dirty bag to stop the gravity flow, which could allow a few drops to fall into your cup, bottle. These things are easy to fix and I wish Sawyer did it himself. Four cheap items greatly improve the experience. There is a second Sawyerhydration pack adapter set on Amazon. This gives you a blue and grey screw-on accessory. 2. A short hose. Attach the above to the output side of the filter. Carry the blue "bottle coupler" with you. 3. A pair of tube "pinch clamps", the small plastic kinds that you squeeze to close off a water tube. They are usually sold for aquariums for a dollar or two. The hoses are about an inch from the filter. 4. A small plastic hose clip is used to hold the air hoses in the aquarium. The end of the new output hose is where this should be clipped. Here's how it works. When you fill the dirty bag, close the hose clamps. The filter will not lose its prime if air bubbles are put into it. It's long enough to hang out of the way so you don't have to worry about the output side getting dirty or dripped on. You can set up your output side before you open anything. Attach the bottle coupler to the last/unused screw fitting and put it on the end of the hose if you want to filter into a bottle. You can take your time if you set your bottle well. If you're good, open the pinch clamps. If you want to use the hose clip to attach the output hose to the top lip of your pot, it won't flop out and get dirty. Again, you can do this with the flow off and turn it on when you are ready. These things add $10 and 4oz to your setup. They turn the whole experience of water purification from "sort of touch and go" to "no sweat, this is easy."

Brand: Ispring

👤Dislikes: 1) The package was heavy. I grunted a bit when I picked it up. I had to find something. I'm critical so I'll update this review if I find any more gripes. I almost wet my pants when I heard a loud snap as they installed the RO Membrane in their housing, while the customer service guy was on the line. I checked to see if the cartridge survived and if I needed to change my underwear, and everything worked out just fine. I won't say it was easy because it takes a few hours. There are some videos on the internet by the company and others by individuals who are installing the product. The system tells you to watch the video first. You should watch as many different videos as you can. I discovered that iSpring didn't mention using a drill bit to keep the hole aligned, and that's one of the tips I discovered. I did an installation. I put the filters in their housing while sitting in my easy chair. I was done by 75% before I knew it. All I had to do was empty the area under the sink, grab my tools, and start working. I had to look up the name of the part in their glossary after I decided not to call it a "thingy". There are two more Their customer support was great. They held the phone over the patient's head. An old style threaded compression fitting is shown in the instruction manual. I didn't see that they included a flyer with instructions for installing a new part and that you don't have to use the blue clips on the faucet side. That made it easy. I was concerned that the RO was not cooperating with my efforts. I was afraid of breaking it, but there were still some threads on the housing. While talking to one of the guys, I became more aggressive in tightening it and heard a way too loud "snap"! It works perfectly, I guess, as mine fit a bit tighter than most. Whew! Their documentation is excellent. The illustrations are clear with appropriate use of color and the parts list and additional products are included. This was close to "Reverse Osmosis 101". There are four The parts are of high quality. Some bozo gave them a rating of 1 because the items are made from polymers. Was he expecting everything to be made of surgical steel? Plumbing in their own homes have used "plastic" for the last 40 years. The guy was either an idiot or a dishonest competitor. You can't buy a system made of metal.

👤Be careful! There is a warning on Prop65. I was satisfied with my choice after researching water filters. It has great reviews. We had an issue with the water not flowing through the RO Membrane after we installed the system, so I referred it back to the listing on Amazon. The company added a warning about chemicals that may cause cancer or birth defects. I called the company and was told that it was nothing to worry about, but that they wouldn't say what the system contained that would require a warning. This doesn't give me peace of mind because I don't know about others. I am purchasing a filter for the health of my family and do not want any added chemicals, what is the point? I immediately returned the system. This shows me that the company is cutting corners and using hazardous materials. A water purification system should not contribute to the problem. Frustrating.

4. LoGest Water Filter Pump Set

The complete set includes a pump, pre-filter, inlet hose, outlet hose, water cup, 2 water bags, and a water filter wrench. The portable water filters pump is easy to use and can be used for many purposes.

Brand: Logest

👤Good price point. The pump is hard to open. I had to pry the handle up on the units. Glad it didn't break. It would be great if it had a replacement filter or at least information on how to replace it. Outside of that. It works the way it should.

👤On delivery, it was broken and unusable. It appears to be very fragile. Return and try a different brand.

👤The handle won't extend up. There was nothing in the owner's manual.

👤I had to apply a lot of force to pull the handle loose. It was not a problem then. I want to know if other filters will work with it.

👤My family talked about water. When the EPA changes the acceptable level of some chemicals in our water, it will make our water unsafe to drink. The water is not changing. If something happened to our water supply, what would happen? We have some streams and ponds in the area, but they are not safe to drink. If something like that ever happened, I thought this would be a useful thing to provide a bit of drinking water. This is not something we are going to use to purify 10 gallons of water, but in a pinch, this would be a way to get clean water. It is a manual pump, but it is supposed to filter out most of the stuff that can make you sick. It comes with a pump, a little pre-filter, plastic tubing, a cup, and two collapsible water bottles. It is light, so I could see packing it for a canoe camping trip, where access to safe water was not an issue. We could add this in if we were hiking with a group. Several of us would be able to use one unit. Without a lab test it is hard to evaluate effectiveness. Sometimes you have water that is safe to drink, sometimes it doesn't contain enoughbacteria to cause illness, and sometimes you are just lucky. You are more likely to get sick if you drink from natural sources. There is a layer of protection. Maybe the bad things that would have made you sick were taken out by it. If you can drink from a natural source and not get sick, it will work. It is made of plastic and should last a long time. Assume that replacement filters can be purchased when needed, since the filter is replaceable.

👤I believe it's because of the vacuum created when it's pumped that it's hard to open the first time. I pumped 400ml through it in about 30 seconds, and I would say that it's not hard to fill up a water bottle, but you definitely need to keep track of the included wrench used to remove the filter, because it's not easy to do. The pump comes with a mesh bag to keep all of the parts together, and the included hose is of a material that doesn't seem to kink, which is nice.

5. Outback Emergency Gravity Filter Bundle

Brand: Outbackwater

👤This type of water system was used by me for 20 years in a developing country. It is easy to clean and maintain. It will provide a good flow of clean water. There is no need for electricity or mechanical parts that might fail. The system is very effective. I bought it in the US for an emergency.

👤If you show off what you have, it will only matter if you have a good item to have.

👤The price continues to go up. The kit contains $75 worth of filters and buckets. Don't be taken.

6. LifeStraw Multi Function Filtration Emergency Preparedness

LifeStraw Multi Function Filtration Emergency Preparedness

Widespread use with guarantee. The survival tactical shovel is a very special gift for men and women. A survival shovel kit is a must have for every vehicle. If you have any questions about their products, please contact them through Amazon, they will be happy to help you out within 24 hours. The LifeStraw Personal filter can be used as a straw filter or inline with a soft touch water bottle. Attaches easily to hydration pack bladders and gravity filters, or just screw it onto a disposable water bottle. The Advanced hollow fiber membrane removes 99% of waterbornebacteria and 99% of waterborne protozoan parasites, which exceeds the EPA drinking water standards. Carbon capsule reduces chlorine, lead and other heavy metals, bad taste and odor, as well as organic chemical matter like pesticides, herbicides, and VOCs. The system includes a Flex water filter, a collapsible soft touch water bottle, and a backwash syringe.

Brand: Lifestraw

👤I received it and have begun experimenting with it. The LifeStraw could be a five-star product by itself. There are two design problems with the FLEX part. The problem is when you squeeze the bottle, the water comes out of the threads on the top of the bottle. If you want to squeeze the dirty water out of your mouth, it is possible to hold the filter top so that the water goes into a cup. Problem 2: Once the water is squeezed past the Lifestraw, you can't squeeze out any more water. You have to open the flexible bottle to get the straw to fit. If you could squeeze out the rest of the water, you wouldn't need to do this because you wouldn't have to taint the top of the straw with your mouth germs. You get 11 ounces of water with dripping. Half of the group traded spit with a shaky flexible bottle and a filter top. It's hard to share water with a traveling companion, which is why I paid an extra price for the LifeStraw with Flex bottle. The flex bottle is just an accessory. I plan to use a liquid to clean the cap and filter top.

👤I have never written a review for an Amazon purchase. I have an account since 2011. I've bought many products that I don't care for, but I haven't written a review. The concept of this is very good. I followed the directions to back flush the filter but was only able to fill my bladder with tap water twice because the white membrane filter was completely restricted. It's fine if you want to blow 35 dollars for emergency and let it go and purchase another one the next time, but don't expect it to last 250 gallons or whatever it says. It's a survival tool solution that will last 2 days. That's all.

👤Not as good as the sawyer mini. The bottle comes with problems. There is a loose fit around the upper threads. You will get dirty water from the area you are drinking from. The flow rate is slower than the sawyer mini. The carbon part of the filter can reduce the taste of plastic by a small amount. If you still want this product, you'll need to ditch the bottle and find something else to drink.

👤Lifestraw does not respond to emails about Customer Service because the bag has a pin hole.

👤I followed all the instructions, but could not get any water to come through it. We only used the sawyer since it wouldn't work.

👤The backpacking filter is really nice. Better tasting water is what you get from a similar filter. It's about as fast as trying to squeeze it through, because I set it up as a gravity system. I'm not using the included bottle as it doesn't make sense in any application that I can think of, but a soft Evernew, sawyer or platypus works great as a "dirty" water container. I hope they start selling the carbon replacement.

7. Katadyn Personal Backpacking Emergency Preparedness

Katadyn Personal Backpacking Emergency Preparedness

Their water purification system works without electricity and will turn water into clean and potable water in a matter of minutes. It can deliver water to meet your water needs. Four outdoor enthusiasts and international travelers were the recipients of the pocket water filter. The silver-impregnated ceramic element is effective againstbacteria. The filters produce clear, drinkable water. Round pump handle for easy pumping.

Brand: Katadyn

👤I stored this item after I bought it. Two months ago, I noticed some flaws in the filter. I spoke with a customer service representative. The company replaced the faulty parts for free during this period of Covid 19 (9 years after my initial purchase), and stood behind its products. This says it's all over.

👤I used to go camping in Alabama. There was a creek near where we camped. The filter did a great job. The water was mostly clean to start with but needed to be cleaned before it could be used. I was able to do that by the creek in about 5 minutes. It worked out great. I had about 10 gallons of water to drink. When the pump becomes difficult, field strip the filter and clean it. I suggest keeping a bottle of water in reserve. You don't want to clean the filter with unpurified water.

👤Over the last 35 years, I have owned backpacking water filters. The plastic pump filters by first aid and msr are the ones I like the most. I own a few of the squeeze filters. I don't like or trust them as far as durability goes. The katadyn pocket filter is not the lightest one on the market, it's not smaller than the msr, and it's not the lightest one. The build quality andDurability of the extream is what this filter has going for it. There are no plastic barbs to break off, no plastic parts in any critical area other than the body, and even that part is overbuilt. If I can get half of the 13000 gallon ceramic filter life, I will be happy. I don't see any inherent issues with this filter. The filter needs to be protected from freezing in cold weather. Any ceramic filter will have an issue with freezing. You will not be putting this filter in your jacket or pants pocket. You can't pocket carry the first aid or msr filters. If you have a problem with viruses, you will need to treat the water or boil over a flame. The charcoal katadyn add on filter reduces the off taste of river water. It's a nice addition to the filter that it fits into the standard carry pouch. I feel confident that the filter will last a lifetime because it is critical to my outdoor activities.

👤Do you want to have a little more perspective while hiking the back woods? Do you know that in an emergency, you can provide water for yourself and your family, or for someone else who may be in a crisis? Is it possible for longevity of use to be mentioned? What about weight? Do you want something lightweight for your camping gear? Right, pounds equals pain! What about quality? Would you like a lifetime warranty on that product? Thank you again, Katadyn, for this little number. The Pocket has a 5 star rating across the board. When it comes to field filters, this thing is a beast. Is this thing expensive? You don't want to mess around when it comes to the second most important thing you, your children, or your pets need. My opinion. Before you use it in the field, make sure you understand the use, cleaning and packing procedures.

8. Miniwell Gravity Purifier Emergency Prepardness

Miniwell Gravity Purifier Emergency Prepardness

Their water purification system works without electricity and will turn water into clean and potable water quickly. It can deliver water to meet your water needs. Automatic filtraition is done using gravity. The whole system can be connected. Walk away from the tree and fill the water reservoir. The PP Screen can stop large particles from entering the filter. The risk of contracting illnesses is reduced by the second stage of the 0.1micron UF Membrane. The Carbon Fiber Filter improves the taste of water. Fresh water is like bottled water. Water quality is what determines the replacement of the water filters. Save money for the future. The slidelock design has a wide-mouth opening for fast, easy filling. Reliable result: testing reports. There is a 100% money back guarantee on purchases with conviction.

Brand: Miniwell

👤It was backpacking for 32 miles on the Colorado trail. I was pleased with this product. The gravity flow system works well, the filter can do 3 liters of water in less than a minute, and it is well made. Looks like it will hold up. The only negative is that the hose is not as flexible as surgical tubing, so it can twist and not pack tightly. I am happy with the system.

👤Product arrived on time. Excited to try it! The package was well protected. It looks like it is as advertised. This will be used in our annual boundary waters trip. We hope to use this part of the trip for a long time.

👤We bought this as part of our bags. It was used to make sure it worked well. It worked well. It doesn't fit all the way in the carry bag. It sticks out about an inch. I have a waterproof bag that fits perfectly. Awesome product. We bought more bags for powdered milk and juices. I may buy a third one as there are 13 of us.

👤It needs to be at a specific angle to drain. It moves very slowly if it is off a little. It's necessary to be checked on every once in a while. It fills the bag in about 5 minutes when it's working well.

👤When fishing in remote places, hubby loves having this on his camping trips.

👤It is good to have this in the event of an emergency.

👤The concept and piece is great, but the cap is hard to replace, so we can't use it right now.

👤It was easy to set up. You can drink it from the source, store it, or even screw it into a water bottle. It's ideal for backpacking.

👤We tried it on water sources. None of the streams came out clear, one was a freely flowing stream and the other was from a creek. The water will always come out as the same color as it came in before the filter was put in.

👤I tried it out on my hike yesterday. I loved it.

9. SurviMate Emergency Activated Replaceable Pre Filter

SurviMate Emergency Activated Replaceable Pre Filter

This water pump hiking is perfect for hiking, camping, domestic and international travel, emergency, etc. They will try their best to make it right if you have any problems during use. The first stage of the multi-stage system is Adsorb PP Cotton. The Activated Carbon filters chlorine and improves the smell and taste of the water. Most pollution, organic chemicals and tiny matters are filters by the third stage. More protection is brought by each stage. The filter size of the water filter pump of Survimate is less than 0.2 microns so that it can filter out 99% of tiny materials from the water. The larger the filter, the higher the accuracy. The optimal flow rate can be maintained with the help of the survimate water filter pump. The water filter pump system is easy to use. The usage is very simple, you just need to put the big end into the tap water source, put the water outlet tube into the included cup or other bottles, and press the handle. It can make the journey more enjoyable. There are stripes on the other side of the body that are non-slip, and one side of the body is made of non-slip material. The design ensures that you don't slip on the product. The survimate pump filter is replaceable. The filter element can be flushed after each use. Depending on the water quality, the lifespan of the filter element could be a little different. You can replace the filter element regularly to make sure the water is safe.

Brand: Survimate

👤Do not buy this if you are going hunting and trying to survive in the wild without a big lake or water source. We went scouting before hunting and found this spring which is perfect because we made a big pet clear of water and collected water. We were able to pump two gallons with minor issues, but the pump kept getting stuck. The pump stopped working after the third fall. The pump got really hard to pump, we kept cleaning the surgical filter, and it didn't make a difference. The water was not close to clear as we tried to pump the last 2 gallons. I would like to try it again if they changed their system. It is very practical and can be used anywhere. If someone were able to integrate an osmosis filter with charcoal, I believe their carbon filter would be supper small. This is not a survival tool for hunting, fishing, or hiking where you can find a clean water source. I don't think the company name and product is for real. If you want to be able to survive for a long time, please do not buy, I came back dehydrated from my hunt and we only had 3 nights.

👤It is important to note that this is not a new thing. I haven't used the unit yet, don't base your purchase on this review, it's for reference measurements on the units branded under the names Purewell and joypur. The base unit is the same as the others, but there are differences in the pre-filter choice. The internal glass tube and charcoal filters are universal. The tubes came with 2 clear o-rings of the type used in the construction of the thing, and the bag with one clear o-ring holding it folded together tight. I can't tell what kind of grease the O-rings are made of, but they came pre-greased. I think Grease is mineral oil because it has no smell and is clear. There is a The foam parts that are toted as anti-skid feel cheap and are not lifting, even though the edges are tight to the body of the unit. The foam feels like a thin, solid piece of anti-skid foam. There is a The inlet and outlet ports on the unit are not as flush as they should be. The cup protects the inlet port. The cup doesn't feel particularly strong and has no markings to indicate plastic type. The cup is clear and holds about 6 ounces of liquid, it flexes thumb and forefinger pressure in the middle. The internal unit with two different sized cylinders is welded at the base and leads me to believe that it would work if submerged in the water from the bottom in the event the intake gets damaged. The outlet port is protected by the clear cup on top. The handle shaft is solid and under light, not trying to break my handle but want to make sure it's going to last, bending didn't flex at all, though I did note some stresses happening at the handle meets shaft junction. The first pull of the handle was not easy to pull. I twisted the handle around a few times to free it from the unit. I'm not sure how I feel about it. I have an emergency water filter. I'm not sure if this one will last an entire lifetime outside of being put in a kit and forgotten about. I don't think I would leave it in my car all year. The weight of the entire box as received, including unit w/ clear cup, tubes, filter, floats, two pre-filters and shipping box, is 423 grams. A filter unit with a clear cup is 250 grams, a pre-filter alone is 318 grams. The body of the Filter unit has a clear cup on top and is wrapped with clear O-rings. There is no string holding mechanism. Please ignore the tags: weight, measurement, gram, heavy, mass, backpacking, ounce, oz, dimensions, packing weight, pack weight.

10. LifeStraw Advanced Water Filter Gravity

LifeStraw Advanced Water Filter Gravity

👤If you want something that filters Viruses and not heavy metals, you should get the Mission. If you want something that protects you from heavy metals. The ball is in your court. I'll return this immediately. I'm not going to buy a mission that doesn't filter heavy metals. Not a single person reviews this product. The social proof must have been purchased from fiver. From people who purify the water at airports, churches, schools and the like. This will work if you are using airport or church water. If you are outside, make sure you have purification tablets. There is a huge difference between purification and filtration. The pictures and content on this listing make one believe that it is suitable for any water source. That could not be further from the truth. If you plan to use this outdoors, you should use purification tables. I wanted to give some insight on how to use this filter. When hanging it make sure it is the right height for the container you're going to use for the water. The water doesn't go down but goes up because the hose is curved. It was a very frustrating experience. You will end up holding the filter up in the air with one arm and your cup beneath it for about 5 minutes. A huge customerirritant. The river water tastes like a fish. I like ceramic filters that help with taste and filters viruses.

👤After about 30 gallons of clear Northern Minnesota lake water, the filter started to get stuck and had to be flushed for every gallon of water. This took place in 3 days. We were in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area and only had to boil the water so it was not a big deal. The other product we used worked just fine. I am not sure if that will scare me or not.

👤The backflushing device is weak. On my first outing, it broke. It does a good job of providing clean water and is well made. If I were to do it over, I would buy a Sawyer mini and use the hydration bladder that I already own. The lifestraw flex has all of the functions of this one.

👤This system is useful for camping or hiking. It's very light and doesn't take up a lot of room. I would pack this for a small group of hikers. I got two quarts of water in 10 minutes, which is a good flow rate. The water bag, plastic hose, and the filter are part of the system. The bag fills easily and it all assembles easily. The filter is a standard LifeStraw inline filter that has a strainer and a charcoal filter. The charcoal filter's lifetime is less than that of the strainer, so if that's a concern it would be wise to have some replacements handy. The inline filter can be used with other things, like water bottles, for filters as well. The bag is lined with plastic to make it waterproof. The bag is tough because of the straps at the top. What is it like in use? If you've never used a system like this before, keep in mind that water is very heavy and the filled water bag is also heavy. You will need a strong place to hang it or a high place to rest it. You or someone else will have tired arms if you don't. You need room below the bag for a water container, filter, and tubing if you want to use it. If you don't have a way of securing the tubing or filter, you'll want someone nearby to make sure the water flows where you want it. Make sure the tubing is securely attached to the bag. You risk a contaminated water leak that will travel down the outside of the tube, over the top of the filter, and potentially into your clean water container if you don't do something about it. Not good. I got a flow rate of two quarts in ten minutes. This is more than adequate. That is a flow rate with clean water. If you're using a cloudy water system, the flow rate will be worse because the filter element will need to be flushed. The water in the bag is not pre-filtered, so anything you can do to pre-filter the water before putting it in the bag will help.

All manufacturing and other defects are covered by their lifetime warranty. The only other straw on the market that can be disassembled is the WS02 water filter straw. It just needs to replace the filter element whenever and wherever, no need to replace the straw tube shell frequently, which is more eco-friendly. The backwash solution has a replaceable mouth that connects with the bottle for back washing. The camping water filter is very easy to use. The backpacking water filter is made up of four stages: hollow fiber ultrafiltration, coconut shell GAC, and double PP fiber filters. It makes water taste better by removing harmful heavy metals, chlorine, and bad odor. The optimal flow rate is 500ml/min and it can be maintained. It will take at least 5,000 liters of clean water to last a long time. Direct use as a personal water filter; also ideal for connecting with soft water pouch or standard disposable water bottles to squeeze get pure water; even add an extension silicone pipe on emergency water filter for more distance to drink; plus, as a replacement. The Safier Survival tool is FDA, EPA and Food-grade materials that ensure drinking water safety. An ideal tool for many purposes, such as backpacking gear, hiking gear, travel accessories, camping safety & survival equipment and emergency preparedness items. The hiking water filter is a great gift for hikers.

👤At the same time of life, I bought this item and saw which was better. Below are my pros and cons compared to life straw. 0.2 PM filter has a higher PROS than 0.1 PM filter. Life Straw does not remove heavy metals. 2. To dry and inspect the filter. Life straw cannot be torn apart. 3. Adapt normal water or soft drink bottle. There is no threading to do this. There are red screws on the straw that allow for additional water accessories to be sold separately. There are 1. The price was more than the straw. 2. There is no cap on the intake. The solution was to place a thin plastic between the male and female threads. 3. 1,500 liters is the typical life. The Life Straw filters are 0.2 pm, while the WS02 filters are 0.1 pm. 4. I would say 1/3 compared to the other way around. I think it's due to better filtering, but it's more noticeable when hanging around your neck. Both came with a lanyard to carry around and won't drop to the creek. Both have the same length and diameter. I will purchase this item again. I hope this helps you.

👤I was very impressed with these. These were on my short list because I am a beginner prepper. Many people in our area had broken water pipes. We had these on hand. They are small and light enough to fit in a purse or backpack. They make a nice addition to our camping pack and emergency car kit. I was very pleased with my purchase.

👤I like how it has a way to put water in a bottle. I don't like the idea of people bending down in streams to use a filter. I can't see myself going hiking and having to drink. Or use a container. It's not easy to drink from a container. My home country is Wales when we are hiking there. There are sheep in the wild and I don't feel like trying to get a drink from a river bent over with my backside as a target for a sheep to headbutt me into the river. I can scoop up water if I'm out with my head in the river drinking while a bear decides if I'm next meal. In a bottle keeping an eye on me. Turn it upside down and let it flow into a cup. Just sip away. I have one regret. I didn't buy more because I thought one was good to try, but now the price is out of my range. I regret that I should have gotten the 4 pack instead of the single. The attachment to the bottle is worth it and the product is well built.

👤If you put this onto a 6L bag, watch how fast it works. An empty Dassani water bottle is better than an empty 2L bottle. It's that easy to cut the bottoms off the bottles and fill it up. You can fill up your camper tank in no time. You will have to clean it from time to time because it comes apart quickly. I average a reverse blow up every 3 liters. It worked well past 400L before I cleaned it. It does get dirty, but it's a filter.
